Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Thinking of you today hep Flowers

sk1pper · 08/09/2016 22:50

Hep - AF will come back, I wouldn't worry. And remember high stress can delay or stop AF for a period of time and I would say you've had your fair share recently. I know saying these things can't make you feel any better about it but your body will sort itself out xx

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 22:02

it'll be worth it kwick

(anyone else loving last leg and the paralympics ?)

kwick · 08/09/2016 21:53

wing the murphy's law application is defo worth a try!

hep fingers crossed for tomorrow

jem I am jealous of your indoor swim.... Seriously this no bathing/swimming malarkey gets me down but it is a definite instruction from Dr at my FC so I do not feel right being naughty and breaking rule.

purpleladybird · 08/09/2016 21:04

Hep you're not dominating the thread at all. Everyone is thinking of you. I came out of lurk-town to say so.

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 19:30

Hep that is exactly what my DH said lol. I swam in the indoor looking out the window at the blue sky and feeling resentful HmmEnvy

IF and only if you are not still upduffed then you take away the knowledge that you can do it. It'll be a matter of time before you'll be back up there. Still keeping LSFX for you Flowers

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 19:27

logically i know you are absolutely correct Alice !

but its hard to think logically when ttc Hmm

I will know where i stand tomorrow..

apologies for dominating the thread atm..... outlet for crazy thoughts needed...

OH will be home soon,

He has left me instructions for dinner.... I hope to approximately cook something edible ! (he is the cook , not me!)

AliceScarlett · 08/09/2016 19:24

Chances of AF coming back are high Hep, but regardless, you can't predict or control it, try let it go... Hard though. Or! Scan wasn't correct and you're still updiffed.

*scrummy

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 18:46

sk1pper the rule for AF is Wine, blue cheese and all the scurmmy stuff !

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 18:45

go swim. unless you plan on getting hypothermia, your core body temp won't change significantly.

i'm now getting depressed thinking AF will not come back .......

(for the benefit of newbies, my fucked up summer includes not having AF since may)

friendly slap please

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 18:14

Still don't know whether to swim or not. There's part of me that knows AF is coming next week regardless, so I'll probably be more pissed off that I've missed my swimming.

I hate ttc Envy

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 17:45

are you feeling better miw ?

miwelaisjacydo · 08/09/2016 17:38

Hi hope we are all good here

sk1pper · 08/09/2016 16:40

Wow such an active thread :) this is nice, I'm jealous of you guys who are trying or in 2ww. AF is boring.

Though, second day of period and decided to use tampons for the first time. Especially as we had an event day at work, think gladiators crossed with total wipeout. Thanks to this super absorbent tampon I was doing somersaults over inflatables, tackling a guy twice my weight in human table football, and more. I text OH to tell him about how great it was and I think he thought it was all TMI. But it's the first time in a while I haven't been completed disabled by the witch. So happy :)

FXSkip · 08/09/2016 16:10

wingingit I'm going to put all my money into Always shares - that oughtta do it.

FXSkip · 08/09/2016 16:07

Hep I had a private scan, so I then had to go and have a second scan with NHS for confirmation. After the confirmation scan we sat down and discussed options, gave a swab for chlamydia (routine, and negative I hasten to add) and a blood test, also routine, to ensure that pregnancy had not made me anaemic and so they'd know what blood group I was if I collapsed. I didn't. I signed all the release papers and came in the next morning to eat the tablets.

Kwick She really tried to convince me to have D&C and I was suspicious so I pressed her for the stats. I love a stat. My initial response to wild swimming was to say go for it, as we all know I like to ignore ALL advice about early PG. However, chinese medicine dictates keeping your feet and head warm whilst on your period to alleviate symptoms, and in early stages of pregnancy. Having said that, I am reliably informed that women in countries where it is culturally the norm to take ice baths do not stop when they are pregnant. There appears to be little evidence to support danger to implanting egg.

AliceScarlett · 08/09/2016 15:45

winging I'm similar. DH and I are going to book a 2 week cruise for next summer. I'm looking forward to ruining it by being pregnant Grin

Jem Life is too short to not be able to swim in the TWW. Ttc takes over life enough. IMO.

I have not found an evidence base for vitex in terms of increasing fertility, it can regularise cycles, a bit, sometimes, but I'm dubious. I wouldn't waste the money. But then I'm a cynic.

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:40

wingingit I had many a trip to boots buying tampons and pregnancy tests at the same time!! figured I would need one or the other !

WingingIt83 · 08/09/2016 15:37

hep yes vitex is agnus castus

More ttc mad thoughts today. With AF being early I was not prepared on the tampax front so had to so shopping, and momentarily considered buying a job lot years supply off ebay because surely I'll then get pregnant straight away?!!
