Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Its really interesting reading about other peoples sex lives. I am blessed in that my OH is always up for DTD, its actually been a bit of a problem up till now because my sex drive has always been lower. But I've found coming off the pill has increased my sex drive substantially and also my desire to have a child has then incremented that even more. I basically dictate to him when we are having sex and he agrees. I sometimes worry if the romance of it is gone a little bit, but he doesn't seem to care and we've always expressed our affections in everyday life anyway. Bedroom stuff has become quite a regimented affair now, we're on a mission and we will succeed. Ugh, that sounds completely sad.

Silver - sorry about AF...I can't wait for the witch to take a hike.

AlexiaB · 09/09/2016 23:33

No worries purple. I really hope it helps you out. The main thing it's done is make dtd verrry quick and enjoyable again.

Thanks JemGrin why the hell not, exactly! Report back lol

LondonJem · 09/09/2016 23:19

Glad they treated you with sensitivity hep, thinking of you tomorrow

Alexia no such thing as tmi around these parts I heard Grin. DH and I have also watched porn together on my mobile before DTD. Not kept it on during but would be open to it. Why the hell not Wink

Sorry work is so stressful kwick, I hope you can squeeze in some relaxation time Halo

purpleladybird · 09/09/2016 23:12

Alexia Thank you. I really appreciate you sharing something very personal and it has really given me something to think about.

AlexiaB · 09/09/2016 22:45

Hi purple, sure. I need to give a little background info for it not to sound too weird. It's not groundbreaking stuff but it's worked for us. I've been asking DH to go for a SA and he said he would book it once O was confirmed this month. I then started to panic for him thinking "how the hell is he going to produce a sample all on his own?" My DH is not a wanking-porn watching type of guy AT ALL. So I brought up the subject. I do watch porn from time to time myselfBlush but we've never watched it together. Our first night, early in my cycle, we took a while to find a video that wasn't too crazy but DH "practised for his sperm analysis" and it was fairly quick and easy. Two nights later we dtd (no porn) but DH couldn't finish and I got really upset (he was exhausted, that's why). Fast forward a couple nights and it was getting later and later (1am) and I blurted out "right, I'm going to watch porn!". I put the same video on my phone and to my absolute surprise DH went from exhausted to ready to dtd almost instantly. I kept the video playing (in my hand so he could see) and it was all over very quickly. Just the way I like it. The exact same thing happened last night, but it was even easier. Instead of 'tiring' foreplay it was great laying back and watching a movie lol. He's so chuffed with himself too and his confidence is sky high. I actually feel confident that we could easily dtd again tonight which I've NEVER felt before. It's not groundbreaking stuff but I see longevity in it. I know this is totally tmi but hopefully it helps someone!

Hep- WineBrewCakeFlowers
So sorry. Take care of yourself x

HepKestrel · 09/09/2016 22:06

fxskip, kwick nurse said that miscarriages were more common in first pregnancy? not sure if its true, but i will choose to believe it !

Am treating myself to new necklace and earrings Grin

purpleladybird · 09/09/2016 21:56

Hi AlexiaB. Any chance you could share your DTD secret? Sounds amazing!

FXSkip · 09/09/2016 21:37

hep pal I am so sorry. I was hoping that all your prep was for nothing, but hopefully you were in some small way prepared. It doesn't stop it being disappointing. I didn't find it comforting to know that I could get pg, as mc chances are not diminished - it really means very little. However, what you do know is that in a healthy system the body rejects unviable pgs. So your body did the right thing, and that is something to be grateful for. I hope that you can use the coming days/weeks to nourish your soul as best you can: read books, do something arty, learn something new and definitely drink some wine. We are all here for you if you need to post/vent over next few days xxx

AlexiaB · 09/09/2016 21:02

Oh kwick Sunday is so far away! Hopefully work will be a distraction and not too stressful.

Alice personally I don't find CM reliable at all but that's just me. GL with the cup!

AliceScarlett · 09/09/2016 20:51

Oh Hep I'm so sorry to hear your news. You can get through this and have a sticky bean. Look after yourself. Glad you have cancelled work.

Wouldn't you have to stand on your head to stop it all settling in the bottom of the cup?! No idea! The circumference is large! Like small apple large, you can squidge it to insert it, but there is a high chance it's just going to end up everywhere! I'm going to put it in tonight after dtd to hopefully keep the jizz up there for longer.
I'm on cd16 and have had 1 day of watery cervical fluid yesterday, now back to creamy... One day of fertile fluid points towards ov,sort of? but is that it? No ewcm or anything. I also wonder how hostile an environment it is in the days leading up to ov. Idk.

hep mine was one of the 1 in 4 too - most likely a chromosonal issue. So glad you were treated with respect and dignity. I cried hysterically at my FC at the scan where there was no heartbeat in front of Dr and nurse and then again at EPU where they confirmed it - this time alone. Crying is good - it helps you mourn. Donuts are good too - yep as usual I found comfort in food.
I went to mass also - I find these type of rituals help. I hugged my nephew long and hard too.
It was a difficult time and I am petrified I will have to go through it all again. But at the end of the day what does not kill you makes you stronger. Right?

alexia my official test date is not until next sunday... Fricking ages away. Saving grace: I am away next week for work; major stress causer: I am away next week for work - I can guarantee it will not be an easy trip.

jellyella · 09/09/2016 20:41

Really sorry to hear that Hep Flowers to you.

AlexiaB · 09/09/2016 20:29

Oh and Art I used clearblue advanced digitals last month and I got 4 days of H and never got a peak reading even though internet cheapies showed a positive and my temps showed I ovulated. The 2 boxes I bought for 60 something pounds was the biggest waste of moneyHmm. They do work for some so obviously I'm just unlucky or I need to persevere, but I would have thought for the price of them they'd work!

AlexiaB · 09/09/2016 20:24

Hep I'm so sorry for your loss. It's the worst thing to go through. Look after yourselfFlowers I'm so glad you have a wonderful DH to take care of you.

Si1ver sorry af got youFlowersChocolateWine

Moose good luck with the seduction!Wink

Lovely that's so exciting! If AF was due today you should get a line on a FRER tomorrow morning. LSFX!

Kwick ugh ignore that bastard. PMA all the way! When are you testing?Grin

Sorry if I've missed anyone. Still in ovulation limbo but BD has been going great the last few nights. Uncovered a way that works like magic and I've never felt less stressed about dtd during my whole ttc journey!

HepKestrel · 09/09/2016 19:16

kwick no reason, just 1/4 random thing. honestly, the last week has been harder than today.

I had a bit of a sob in the the ultrascan room after it was confirmed and the scanner lady left us to transfer us to gynae for the "interview" to discuss options. They did it really well.... as in they discretely escort us away from the pregnant ladies to the other ward.

I go in at 11 tomorrow for the medical treatment. In the end what decided it for me is when they said i would have to wait till thurs or friday for the surgical option.

fx lovely !

LovelyFishy · 09/09/2016 19:12

I've got one of the tests off Amazon that's 10 mui (if I remembered that correctly!) sensitivity, that should be enough right? I may not test tomorrow though, I'm on early shift at work. Might try and hold out a bit!

kwick · 09/09/2016 18:54

Wow kavan I am impressed by your mooncup endeavours Grin I still do not get how they work without being messy... I find tampons excruciating so not really sure they are for me... Anyway I am in PMA overdrive - so do not need to think about such things for at least 9 months Wink

Sorry silver Flowers

jem fabulous reverse psychology - I am gonna order my cup right now!!!

hep I am so so sorry. Flowers did they give any kind of reason? You are a strong and brave woman, you will get through this. You know now you can get a bfp - and that is half the battle. We are all here for you.
Be very kind to yourself. It was not your fault.

lovely do you have a FRER at the ready for tomorrow morning?

Had a pretty shitty day - one of my bosses was horrid to me, this has really impacted me. Fcuking bastard - excuse my French!
On a positve note my progesterone levels are good so no need to increase dosage of fanjo gels and bum stabbing at the mo.

purpleladybird · 09/09/2016 18:24

So so sorry Hep. Flowers

Nicky883 · 09/09/2016 17:41

So sorry hep ! But you are right at least yoi can move on with the knowledge that you can indeed get pregnant !
Lovely i remeber that you have been trying for a while i really hope you get a clear bfp tomorrow !

LondonJem · 09/09/2016 17:36

sk1pper · 09/09/2016 16:55

Sorry hep xxI'm glad you've got an answer now and can start to move on but I can't imagine how it feels. Take some time for yourself this weekend, look after yourself

Mooseville · 09/09/2016 16:37

HepKestrel · 09/09/2016 16:30

fx for you fishy!

I am actually feeling a lot better now.... oddly. I can move on. We both realistically weren't surprised. Though clearly to have it confirmed was upsetting. Am just telling work I am unable to travel due to medical treatment I need next week. Its the truth, and should stop people worrying too much about me (I hope!).

OH is all on board to being told when i am ovulating and to moderate his drinking for that week Smile.
