Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Hi guys, mind if I join? I've been lurking for a while but have never joined a chat yet but I feel it is time!
I'm 31, ttc#1 and currently in cycle 4
Still getting to grips with my cycles because I had a contraceptive implant which meant I didn't have regular cycles and since having that out I don't think I've developed a 'normal' yet.

AliceScarlett · 13/09/2016 11:35

Sorry for AF Loz. I'd like to say it gets easier, but it doesn't I'm afraid.... Indeed. But hopefully it will be quick for you.

Moose Get buying, Ebay is a good place too. Catan/Carcassonne/Ticket to Ride are good ones to start with.

Sorry for AF Loz. I'd like to say it gets easier, but it doesn't I'm afraid....

HepKestrel · 13/09/2016 11:20

hmm... it might be pandemic i'm thinking of....

AliceScarlett · 13/09/2016 11:14

Never played Epidemic, Pandemic sounds similar and is my favourite.

Hi everyone

Been away for a couple of days. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Didn't test this morning, but looks like AF has got me! First cycle so not surprised but still a little sad.

AliceScarlett · 13/09/2016 10:14

DH and I spent 8 hours last weekend trying to get through Eldritch Horror. Love board games! Carcassonne anyone?

Hi everyone. Catching up it seems like everyone is trucking along dealing with some really difficult stuff. I think we should all congratulate ourselves on how well we are dealing with this TTC lark.

Hep Hang in there buddy, you're doing great.

Guys check this out: www.thelondonultrasoundcentre.co.uk/ovulation-fertility-scans/ If I was rich and lived in London... Bugger OPKs you could know exactly when/if the egg is released.

I had a nice break away, weird to be in and out of the country so quickly.

I'm feeling relaxed this cycle. I'm about 5DPO and am reading for my body to throw a myriad of symptoms at me from 7-14DPO. I'm OK not being hopeful, I should think I'll see AF in a week or so and then its off to the GP to get results from the latest dildocam and to start tests.
From reading here the 1st step seems to be SA for DH and 21 day bloods for me?

Oops photo fail

HepKestrel · 13/09/2016 10:05

My spotting is continuing to ramp up slowly. No painful cramps, but a bit dizzy and lightheaded. Just need to remember to stand up slowly!

In other news GrumpyOldCat is holding my hand today whilst OH is at work. Unfortunately he is not so good at letting go of it again.

LovelyFishy · 13/09/2016 09:52

Moose I love board games! We have all sorts of weird and whacky ones at home. There's even a dedicated board game shop in our town, we're so lucky!

Jem & Peaches sorry you're both feeling a bit meh, but do not trust the boobs!

FXSkip · 13/09/2016 09:34

Thanks peaches I know that's what people keep telling me! As if I'm being daft for not just ovulating as soon as I've mc'd and dtd at exactly the right time - its my own fault obviously. Hmm Silly me, excuse whilst I just go upduff myself right now!
But you are right, I have a new found respect for myself and the pain I can tolerate. Those comments wash over me now. We're all tougher than we think we are. We think we can't handle another cycle - another Af, another shitty week of bleeding - but we do. And I have been so grateful to the support of this community - you are all stars :) StarStarStarStar

Peaches8Posies · 13/09/2016 09:21

Aww london sounds like my boobs have done this tooSad

Peaches8Posies · 13/09/2016 09:20

Yeh lovely congratulations! Hoping you have a healthy 8 months in front of you.

Hopefully lovely is the first of many GrinFlowersStarGrin

Peaches8Posies · 13/09/2016 09:18

Morning ladies, nice to see the thread soo active again Smile loads to catch up on. Currently nursing some serious cramps so not confident about this month. Boobs were sore at weekend but completely gone now. But then again, don't trust the boobs Grin

kwick Fingers and toes crossed for you.

skip your friends may be excited about things but surely they realise how insensitive they have been! But your right you have all us here to off load with. As for your af, I was about 5 weeks post mc. Cycles have not been great since seem to be very short and bit lighter. All I kept reading was about how everyone snapped back to normality really quickly, were super fertile and got pregnant right away again. Not my story I'm afraid. But we will get there Smile

hep you are being super strong! Glad you and OH have each other for support. When I had my mc the midwife said to me take time to grieve. I didn't think it would effect me as much but it did. Don't rush back to work etc.., I'm glad she said this, to start with I was quite number to it but I was really quite weepy and angry and sad. Like any grief I feel there are stages we must allow ourselves to work through. But you do bounce back, us women are stronger than we realise.

Sorry to see the Oct tickets coming out. CakeWine for everyone the bitch has caught up with x

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 08:48

No can't trust those boobs moose, sometimes they get sore sometimes they don't. But this cycle it's noticeable how they've gone back to normal at just the time progesterone will be falling. Oh I'm so fed up with all this Sad

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 08:46

It's progesterone leaving the building skipper. It floods in after you ovulate to prepare your body for pregnancy - you get whatever PMS you get - sore boobs, mood swings, acne, insomnia, anxiety, poor sleep etc etc . If you don't conceive progesterone drops away and your period comes.

I think you can only really tell if you are pregnant in those last few days of your cycle - when you can detect hcg basically. All the rest of the TWW is the usual PMS - whether you are pregnant or not.

Mooseville · 13/09/2016 08:43

jem DON'T TRUST THE BOOBS!!!

Mooseville · 13/09/2016 08:42

Who knew there were so many gamers on here! My game playing days ceased at Sonic the Hodgehog, unless Clash of Clans counts? But I do love a good board game and jigsaw! (I'm so 1990!)

More success last night! DP is a new man! So we DTD cd 10, (tried but failed cd 12) positive OPK days 14 and 15 (how can it be positive for two days???) and DTD both those. Don't know if I'm pushing my luck with DP to go again tonight or to keep his confidence up for next month! Lol
I feel that's probably one of our best months for timing and actually managing to get the swimmers up there though!
alexia we're in the TWW together - going to be a long one since we're both happy with our timings! Bring on the symptom spotting!

sk1pper · 13/09/2016 08:29

London - ah so if your boobs stop hurting it signifies AF? I have had that every month for the last 4 cycles and it always gets me excited unnecessarily.

LondonJem · 13/09/2016 08:21

12 DPO woke up sore boobs have gone, just like that. Bye bye progesterone Sad will be on cycle 10 by the end of the week.

AlexiaB · 13/09/2016 07:45

Bluebird sorry the witch got you tooFlowersWine

Also, imo clear blue advance digital opks are NOT worth the money at all. I've been using them for 2 months now and have never got a peak despite internet cheapies being positive and my BBT chart clearly showing O. Save your money ladies!

AlexiaB · 13/09/2016 07:39

Hep you're being so strong. Love that you're chilling at home in pjs gaming. Take all the time you needFlowers DH and I are self employed so I spent at least 1 week in pjs and hardly did a thing! I was lucky because I ovulated quite quickly after but didn't conceive. My next AF was very heavy and painful though which wasn't fun.

Kav sorry about AF Flowers

Art sorry about the BFN. Good luck with the move!

Great gaming chat! I'm a gamer too but only really play GTA. Dying for the next one to be released already!

I think I can finally join the bus! I O'd yesterday and I'm pleased with our timing. O day at 12:45am, O-1, O-3 and O-5 Grin Can you put me down for 23/09 please Hep. My LP is messed up atm so I'll be happy to reach 10dpo.

ArtOfKnit · 13/09/2016 06:46

Oh forgot to say good luck mrs!!
