I know it's v faint (but is clearer in real life) and it's only 9dpo I just felt sick which has been my first sign the last 3 times!

sk1pper · 29/08/2016 08:31

MCbaby - I'm struggling to see it but I have just woken up and I am still a bit bleary eyes tbh.

Streaky - this is a bit personal but is your sex quite dry? Could be from friction or something and you could supplement using lubricant.

Hi to everyone from the August bus!

Streaky17 · 29/08/2016 08:19

I'll phone the doctors tomorrow. Thanks everyone! Xx

For those who asked cervical smear - clear Jan15, STIs (no sure which ones- though) checked last month and clear and no symptoms of UTI (never had one but I'd notice right?)

Mcbaby I can see a line- congrats.

MrsGsnow18 · 28/08/2016 13:51

Sorry purple that you've had to join! Chocolate

lala I confess to being a POAS addict but really you must step away from the pee sticks! It just leads to heartache/stress

lalaland1985 · 28/08/2016 13:41

Welcome purple and skee Flowers

I don't know why I just did it but I took a test and was bfn. Ovia says to test in 4 days. Why poas unnecessarily and get pissed off in the process? Makes no sense!

Purplefairy21 · 28/08/2016 12:47

Plonking my bum on the seat near the back so I can be grouchy. Af got me with no warning so a very unseasonable bah humbug. Stats are ttc #2, cycle 2, day 1, age 21. Got my physio assessment for my surgery on Tuesday as well :( I know I need the surgery but I want another lo before I have to call it quits.

Skee · 28/08/2016 09:29

Hi all - thanks for the warm welcome Smile

Haha! Shark week! That really appeals to my sense of humour Grin

sk1pper · 28/08/2016 09:19

Skee - sorry about your mum, can't begin to imagine what that feels like. But you have come to the right place so welcome aboard. Also, with regards to AF, my OH calls it shark week but that has never really caught on with me. He finds it amusing though. (www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shark%20week)

Streaky - I think you should see a Doctor, blood after sex would worry me. Any chance you could have an STI or UTI?

Flashing - I would DTD today with a result like that as id say your ovulation day is today.

MrsG - don't burn out before you ovulate ha ha :) maybe try every other day until you get a positive, then step it up xx

Eva30 · 28/08/2016 09:16

streaky definitely go back to GP. He/she needs to refer you for tests or maybe bring your scan forward. When was your last smear?
flashing looks good!
mrsG I'm the same, cd12. Clear blue monitor gave me a flashing smiley this morning but the cheapie opks are very faint, think I'm a few days off ov yet. I'm still doing every other day to not wear us out!

MrsGsnow18 · 28/08/2016 09:01

streaky I think I'd def go back to GP if I were you. It prob depends how much bleeding it is, you'll know what's normal for your body. I've never bled after sex so I would be worried if it seemed more than just s bit of spotting.

Welcome skee
I always called periods Aunt Flo in school with my friends, we thought it meant boys wouldn't know what we were talking about! I'm pretty sure they knewGrin

flashing lights looks good!! Time to start seducing!Wink

I'm supposed to be FW but no very strong OPK lines yet. Have been having sex everyday anyway which was maybe a bad idea as I think DH is losing his stamina a bit Confused

FlashingLights · 28/08/2016 08:49

Welcome all Flowers

CD 14 and I think I'm heading towards a positive OPK tonight or tomorrow maybe?

Skee · 28/08/2016 08:46

Hahahaha! Riiiiiight! I couldn't work it out at all, probably because that's a term I don't use either...

I'm with you Writer - all for calling a spade, a spade (not sure if that saying works in writing?!) so it's definitely a period in my book!

But, I am a lazy typist.... Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 28/08/2016 08:17

AF = Aunty Flo = period.

It's not an acronym I use often as it just reminds me of those stupid 'mother nature' period adverts. Plus the use of "Aunty Flo" always strikes me as a bit twee, a bit old fashioned/out dated and implying that the word 'period' is dirty and we shouldn't be saying it Grin

A bit like the term, "I've got the painters in" - or the "decorators" in. Just say you're on your period!! Grin

I'm all for period!!!! Grin Grin

Skee · 28/08/2016 08:07

Thanks very much for the welcome Writer Smile

I've never used OPKs before, but decided if I test negative in Sept I'll start using them for my next cycle. Very excited about POAS Wink

Also, what does AF mean?! Like, I'm pretty sure I get what it is, but can't work out the acronym?!

Writerwannabe83 · 28/08/2016 07:17

Welcome skee and I'm very sorry to read about your mom Flowers

Do you use OPKs to track your ovulation? They work really well and helps to make more sense of what your cycles are doing and to plan DTD at the right time of the month. Plus, the most important part of using OPKS is that it means you get to POAS (pee on a stick) which is what we all LOVE doing Grin

I'm on CD25 and it's been 7 days post my positive OPK and I had lots of watery/creamy CM last night but apart from that I'm feeling 100% normal.

Skee · 27/08/2016 23:42

Hello all, I'm a newbie and I know I'm a little late, but wondered if there was room for another on't bus Smile

Still getting to grips with all the acronyms Grin and I now realise I've got a lot to learn about cycles etc.

Reading about everyone else's experiences is so helpful, just lost my mum in May, and there's no one else I feel comfortable talking about this with at the moment, but it looks like all the advice and info I could possibly need is here x

So, I'm 33 and ttc#1 - stopped taking my pill a year ago in preparation, and now DH and I thought it was time to give it a go.

According to an app I'm using I'm on day 19 of a 28 day cycle (although in the four months I've been tracking, every cycle has been a different length!). Should've ovulated the 23rd - but I'm only just learning the signs of ovulation now, so I think it could've been 25th due to cramping, but realistically I have no idea..! Dtd 22nd/23rd/25th/27th so hoping for some good news in Sept, but likely got it all wrong this time round Blush

At least I'll be better informed for next month Grin

Fingers crossed for a positive month for everyone else, and thanks for listening x x

Streaky17 · 27/08/2016 19:51

Is TMI OK? Since I'm on this bus anyway...

I think I'm ovulating in the next day or so, any I bled a tiny bit after sex this pm. Sex was completely painless. :-) My GP said to go see her if that happened again ( it happened once about 4-5 months ago). I've got an appt for abdominal ultrasound in late sept to investigate for ovarian cyst so I don't see the point in going back until after the ultrasound...

Because of the abdominal pain ongoing after cp I've already had a load of STI tests done - all OK.

Anyway I wanted to know how normal bleeding after sex is? Any experiences?

TIA

Wifey1990 · 27/08/2016 19:50

5 days on until AF is due, but I just feel different this month?? Don't know whether it's my mind playing tricks. X

Booboomoogooboo · 27/08/2016 19:36

Hi all hope it's ok to jump on the bus? Am 37, we've been trying for #2 for 12 months and I'm starting to feel like it won't happen. I'm currently cd5, bought some opks this month as I'm planning to visit the gp soon about it and want to be prepared with some details should they ask! I will have to start testing tomorrow as have a short cycle. Fingers crossed for us all on the bus!

sk1pper · 27/08/2016 19:07

It will be so awesome if we both conceive during our holidays :D albeit separate months

lalaland1985 · 27/08/2016 16:32

I really have no idea when I ovulated. I don't think I'm pregnant though. I'm on CD29. I'll test mid week but I'm sure I'll be climbing aboard the October bus.

I'm off to Italy and Sicily next month during what should be my fertile week. Hoping that does the trick as will be able to dtd everyday!
