I decided to pee on an OPK with the idea that if I got a strongish test line then I would go out and buy a HPT but there wasn't even a hint of any test line, let alone a strong one.

I have now accepted I'm not -upduffed this month and will wait for the October bus to come into fruition.

I'm feeling a bit crappy about it all because I conceived DS on cycle 1 yet this time round I've had one miscarriage and then four further cycles of not catching. It's all a bit disheartening isn't it....

sk1pper · 02/09/2016 09:15

Writer, it sounds like a great idea. I wish I was more technical and innovative. Maybe it doesn't even need to be a toilet bowl as such just some contraption you can buy to put in it.

I feel like I have a cold coming btw, sore throat, running nose, exhausted. But because I'm 8dpo it gets me excited as the timing is coincidental. Only I can get excited about a cold.

MrsLoz · 02/09/2016 09:13

Well after my brown CM yesterday and stomach ache everything has gone back to normal today. Apart from I appear to have put some pounds on, my dress feels way tighter today than when I wore it 2 weeks ago. Grumpy Friday!

Writerwannabe83 · 02/09/2016 08:28

Maybe I could invent a toilet bowl that is designed to change colour if it detects HCG - that might be easier than trying to alter the kidney function of a human being to enable the colour change of urine during pregnancy because that sounds quite difficult Grin

And if I felt really clever I could design a toilet bowl that not only detects pregnancy but also how far along the woman is. It could have inbuilt speakers that say "You are 2-3 weeks pregnant" Grin

sk1pper · 02/09/2016 08:12

Half of me is laughing and half of me is thinking, "hmm writer is on to something here".

Dragons den it!

Writerwannabe83 · 02/09/2016 08:08

It would be an incentive for us all to keep our toilets bowls clean and sparkly if we're all posting photos of them Grin

MrsGsnow18 · 02/09/2016 08:01

Haha! writer changing colour wee would be awesome!

Writerwannabe83 · 02/09/2016 07:52

Wouldn't it be so much easier if our wee could just change colour if HCG was present? It would be so much cheaper!!

We could all post pictures of our wee to be analysed Grin

AF due next Thursday but it will make my longest cycle yet. I could test at the weekend but I may not, I really don't have enough symptoms to warrant it. Some queasiness this morning but I'm putting it down to the late night.

Writerwannabe83 · 02/09/2016 07:28

vox - I also find Ovia's helpful suggestions very irritating at times Angry

My period is due tomorrow and I'm not feeling pregnant at all. All the symptoms I had a few nights ago have disappeared and I feel pretty normal again. I have no HPTs in the house and am trying to decide whether to go and buy one because I'm working all weekend so won't have another chance unless I get one today.

I know it will be a waste of money though. It's all so frustrating.

NappingRabbit · 02/09/2016 07:27

Pretty sure I'm out this month. BFN this morning and spotting is a bit heavier.

Letswaitandsee · 01/09/2016 23:15

Still no sign of AF so as of tomorrow morning I'm officially late. I'm still gonna wait until Saturday until I poas. I had a mc at 5 weeks and only got a squinter when I was 2 days late... I managed a BFP on a digi 3 days later but was manically testing In between only getting squinters and one BFN. I'm saving myself the stress of testing again until I know it'll be BFP if I am actually pg. something tells me I'm not pregnant though, I just don't feel 'that' feeling.

Me9an · 01/09/2016 22:48

Hello!
Joining from the August bus.
TTC 1 cycle 1
Currently waiting on af which is 2 days late, bfn two days ago. Going to test Saturday if af still hasn't shown. Good luck to everyone !

lalaland1985 · 01/09/2016 22:42

Took a frer test and it's a huge BFN. I've gone from 95% sure I'm not pregnant to 99% sure. Just wish AF would arrive now.

misstiggiwinkle · 01/09/2016 20:49

I'm a Saturday tester assuming af doesn't get me first. Lots of cramping this evening and had a few heart flutters (like when your heart skips a beat)...haven't had those since I was last pregnant Hmm must stop symptom spotting

NappingRabbit · 01/09/2016 20:00

I will inevitably test every day until AF shows. I've had a tiny bit of brown spotting today and some mild cramping which could be either implantation or (more likely) AF threatening to appear. Who knows. It's the hanging around in limbo that is agonising!

I don't know how anyone manages to wait until they are actually late to test. Before TTC I fully intended to be one of them - that definitely didn't happen!

voxnihili · 01/09/2016 19:32

I'm even getting pissed off with the 'helpful' comments on Ovia - 'maybe there's a baby inside you making you feel all emotional'. Could quite happily throw my phone at the wall yelling 'fuck off' at the moment.

voxnihili · 01/09/2016 19:20

Actually feeling quite bitter tonight and wondering what the point is. I keep thinking maybe it would be easier to decide to not have children as it might be easier to build my life around that.

Writerwannabe83 · 01/09/2016 19:16

There's quite a few of us testing around Saturday time. I looked at ordering some IC off Amazon today but as soon as I selected the 'Next Day Delivery' option the price went from £3 to £14! I couldn't believe it and so obviously cancelled my order.

I suppose I could get another cheapie one from ASDA tomorrow....

voxnihili · 01/09/2016 19:13

Pretty much! I thought it showed a very very faint positive so I took it apart (didn't realise they could splatter when opened, oops) and couldn't see anything so must have been the way I had been tilting it and imagining a line.

I've tried not to let TTC take over. I'm really focused on my career but I sometimes wonder if I'm just throwing myself into it in case this never happens. In terms of work, it wouldn't be the worst thing if it hadn't happened this month due to a few things happening over the coming months. However, I think I'll be devastated because I'd put so much on it working this time.

I think AF is on its way - tell tale period pains have kicked in. I'm due Saturday ish.

lalaland1985 · 01/09/2016 17:52

If you are anything like me VOX then 5 seconds max?

voxnihili · 01/09/2016 16:20

Also sorry to hear that lousy.

I've been POAS like a mad thing and suddenly thought yesterday that I might stop if I bought some expensive clearblue ones rather than internet cheapy ones. Anyone want to guess how long the box lasted unopened after the delivery turned up?

Letswaitandsee · 01/09/2016 15:59

Sorry to hear that lousy. Fingers crossed for next month. X

AVY1 · 01/09/2016 15:40

Thanks Mrs. Have spoken to practise nurse and she agreed it definitely doesn't fit with my usual pattern (I had no true red blood loss). I've got to test again tomorrow (as AF has not shown up) and then go and see them on Monday regardless is result. She was a little concerned it could be ectopic but also said that doesn't really fit with timing and as the blood described didn't fit and I've had no extreme pain (I've had twinges lasting a few seconds) then it didn't warrant me going straight in.

She also said that she's had experience with implantation bleeding and no BFP until 8 weeks! And on top of that that in all her years she's seen IB almost exclusively in multiples :/

anyway we will see what tomorrow brings! I'm definitely going to the loo more often but have also been constipated for the past fortnight (which NEVER) happens to me as I have ulcerative colitis.

lalaland1985 · 01/09/2016 15:37

Sorry to hear that lousy. I have a feeling I'll be joining you on the October bus. Onwards and upwards to our BFP!
