sk1pper · 03/09/2016 21:57

Everyone seems to be waiting for AF at the moment, have we all synced over the web :D

Wifey1990 · 03/09/2016 19:40

Tested a big clear negative!!! Still no AF Confused what's going on??? Good luck to everyone else testing this weekend!

Walikingdeadfan · 03/09/2016 19:21

Im so confused. Had some mild cramping and feel a bit tired and fed up. But not sure it is af coming or not. Not due til monday, so aiming to avoid testing until tues.
I think a little alcohol in 2ww should be ok

FlashingLights · 03/09/2016 18:51

vox I feel the same confusion in regards to drinking. I'm not a big drinker at all (probably 2 glasses a month unless there's an occasion) I do enjoy the occasional glass of wine. I'm a midwife and know just how unclear and contradictory all the guidelines are in regards to drinking in pregnancy.

I'd stop all alcohol if I got a BFP but if I fancied a glass of wine during the 2WW I would.

voxnihili · 03/09/2016 17:25

I don't have a FRER and no chance of going out to get one.

I get the importance of a healthier lifestyle when TTC - I'm actually really healthy and lost 2 stone prior to TTC - I wasn't particularly overweight but my body fat percentage was too high for my natural shape. I've done it all through a healthy diet and moderate exercise. I've cut caffeine to just one coffee in the morning. I don't smoke or take drugs. I don't eat any of the things you're not supposed to eat during pregnancy. I don't drink heavily (usually one bottle a week) and worry that cutting everything out that I enjoy would just make TTC more stressful. My thought has always been that I would stop as soon as I got a BFP or if my period was late (even if I got a BFN). I'm wrestling with my conscience a lot over it and may stop during my 2ww, but I don't want to give up the small amount I drink completely for something that may just not happen.

peasandquiet · 03/09/2016 16:53

Vox have you done a pink dye frer? I think if you aren't getting a positive on one of those then your not pregnant so go out and have a few drinks. Drink wise I do agree with your thinking about it not hurting in the TWW however I think that overall being tee total while ttc as part of a healthier lifestyle would probably help with the ttc. I was much healthier and gave up drinking etc when I convinced number one( first cycle) this time around I'm less fit, drink more and am a couple of years older - starting to think that none of that helps!! Hope your alright lets, did you test again? go with a frer as will give you a clear no if not PG.

ps I don't work for first response Grin

sk1pper · 03/09/2016 16:45

Vox - there is a lot of controversy regarding whether you can drink or not in the 2ww. I haven't in previous cycles but this month I did. I think scientifically speaking, the embryo hasn't fully attached to you yet and wouldn't be taking in your nutrients so it should be relatively safe, especially if its just drink for enjoyment and not binge drinking. But obviously, if you get a BFP you should stop right away.

voxnihili · 03/09/2016 16:16

Been out for the day and stupidly looked back at the test I'd done this morning. The shadow is now a feint line which I'm assuming is just an evap but has started making me wonder. Boobs are painful and feel exhausted - almost like it is the last week of term rather than the last week of the holidays!

I was hoping AF would have showed up today given all the BFNs as I'm going out tonight. I've still been drinking in the 2ww due to being on holiday (not heavily, just a glass of wine in the evening) but it feels different now that I'm late, especially as all the stuff I've read says that in the first 2 weeks after fertilisation its ok, but from week 3 it can cause harm. I know the likelihood is that I'm not, but it is there in the back of my mind.

I have started to think more about my stance on alcohol during the 2ww - I'm not a big drinker by any means and just have a glass of wine with my dinner at the weekend. It's not to get drunk, it is just a drink I enjoy and need to find something else that I actually enjoy drinking. I had a couple of glasses this week and actually felt really guilty which took away any enjoyment. I now hope that I'm not pregnant just in case as I'd never forgive myself if there were any problems in the future.

Letswaitandsee · 03/09/2016 16:11

Thanks for the response MrsG.

I'm off even though I'm still effectively in the TWW... I feel like my posts are invisible on this thread. There's no point in talking to myself. Good luck with your TCC journeys.

sk1pper · 03/09/2016 16:07

MrsG - yeah maybe, I know its not over till AF shows. But if she shows, I am going to be PISSED ha ha.

sk1pper · 03/09/2016 16:06

Wifey - you have a lot riding on it then, not surprised you are so nervous. I agree with everyone else, just do a test and at least you know where you stand and can get on with whatever you need to. Good luck!

Me9an - sorry you're out, it would have been awesome to get it first cycle!

Letswait - I'm not sure what has happened there, you probably ought to do another test though as it may be faulty. Is it unusual for your AF to be late?

Sorry to those other who are out or potentially out, I thought this was the BFP bus? Bah we were all swindled!

MrsGsnow18 · 03/09/2016 15:40

Also Skipper you're not out yet! If sporting is unusual for you that could mean something! Fingers crossed!

MrsGsnow18 · 03/09/2016 15:38

Sorry to those who got AF.
letswaitandsee think that's just a fault in the test.

Good luck with testing tomorrow wifey
Fingers crossed for you writer

I'm CD24 and think I got a dark enough line on OPK to class as positive or at least will be positive soon enough!
Grabbed DH before he left for a few days so fingers crossed that's enough!
Off to look up prices for that Gin just as a back upGrin

Writerwannabe83 · 03/09/2016 14:47

Feeling a bit periody-crampy now Sad

misstiggiwinkle · 03/09/2016 12:29

I'm out. The witch is here. Hope the rest of you have more luck than me x

Letswaitandsee · 03/09/2016 11:58

This is so fucking annoying... I'm guessing it's an evaporate line but has anyone else had a line going the wrong way on a BFP?

lala what a beautiful gift! It really is the best gin I've ever tasted - I saw that they were running out, so I bought a bottle Grin I bet it was just a marketing strategy to catch suckers like me though Blush

Writerwannabe83 · 03/09/2016 10:27

Test wifey!!!!!!

I have had three wees in three hours today.....

Totally not symptom spotting....

Wifey1990 · 03/09/2016 10:04

Oh I forgot to add I had surgery on the 14th July as both of my tubes where blocked, my surgeon cut the tubes so fluid was running freely, I'm a high risk ectopic. I won't be eligible for NHS IVF.

Letswaitandsee · 03/09/2016 09:41

So now I'm officially late. Other than sensitive boobs there's nothing to suggest either pregnancy or PMS. With my previous pregnancy I kinda KNEW before I tested, which makes me want to hold of poas and see if it's just a delayed AF. Part of me doesn't want to waste money on a BFN and that's what my gut tells me it'll be.

Wifey1990 · 03/09/2016 08:56

Ladies help me out- I'm officially late now only by 1 day.
Last week I had really bad cramping, yesterday I had the usual back ache I would get when AF is here.
I do get sore boobs but my nipples are red and so sore never had anything like it.
TMI - i have been very windy for the last week or so.
Feeling a little bit of nausea (don't know whether that's in my head) and have had a flu symptoms for 2 weeks.
As I'm typing this I have little sharp pains for about at second then gone.
I'm so scared to test just incase I get a NEGATIVE!
