Thanks for the support from everyone. I've spent my free time today looking up new donors. My previous donor is all sold out for now, so I want to have something lined up. I have 3 good options which makes me feel more comfortable potentially going into a new cycle next week. I know it's still early. Google tells me women get bfn on day 12 and then go on to have bfps all the time. But I don't want to get my hopes up. I really thought I would get a bfp today. I've been having this on and off sharp pain on the right side of my uterus (not my ovary, that I know is higher up because of the pain I felt from my cysts). And I had this same thing last time I was preggo. Ah well. Bloodwork on Saturday and then I'll know.

One thing I will say is important in a bit of pain at the moment, paracetamol isn't shifting it so I'm adding wine

kwick well remembered 😊 yes I had my procedure this morning and was very nervous beforehand, but I have to say it was exactly as you described and not at all bad! I'm home now and about to get my pj's on and settle down for the day.
11 eggs were collected and I'm now hoping for them to successfully fertilise.
I'm not sure how I feel at the moment apart from completely out of control and desperate for it to work.
Please pray to whomever the gods of babies are!

Well ladies I'm 12dpiui and I think I'm out. Used a frer this morning. I thought I saw a line but only if I held it a certain way. I'm on progesterone do I can't even say when my period will be. Feeling down about it. I have my bloodwork on Saturday to make sure. Just really thought it worked. Guess it was just so easy the first time, and I had a positive 11dpiui then.

My sister is 31 weeks and my bestie 32.5 weeks so all around the same time :) we love hearing from you so don't feel you shouldn't post here. Sorry I've been AWOL. I wasn't getting emails to say there had been updates and it's been a crazy month or sk. Just been catching up on all your news. Did I see a sneaky 13 week baby scan in there? Congratulations!!! That's awesome news!

Seems a bit odd still posting on here but just on case anyone wants an update, all is good here. Tomorrow I'll be 29 weeks and all seems to be going well.

For those newbies since the last thread, I'm 36, married to a woman (same sex relationship), did 5 rounds of IUI with donor sperm (plus 2 which were stopped early cos they messed up the medication levels), and finally got pregnant on attempt 5. All earlier ones were medicated but the one that worked was unmediated. Currently 29 weeks pregnant. So hang on in there ladies, I am proof that this really can work. Any questions please do ask.

How are you? I'm not going to lie I'm having a minor anxiety moment, having my er tomorrow morning and I'm nervous as anything!

Late that sounds really stressful. It's perfectly possible for those swimmers to find their own way through your cervix so definitely don't give up hope. After all they usually found their way of their own accord!

Thanks everyone, it is lovely to be able to tell someone about it all. I had pineapple and a very small glass of red wine last night - will add some cayenne pepper into whatever I cook tonight!

The clinic has been great every other visit, but I think their staffing levels are lower on a Saturday and my procedure which should have taken only a short time over ran considerably. I'm going to see if I can speak to the other doctor tomorrow (the one who managed to get the tube in...) to see what she suggests. Fingers crossed for this time though!

Oh sweetheart that sounds awful :( which clinic do you go to?they sounds meanies!!!
Like karen said,there is no such thing as tmi here, this is place where you can say tmi and we don't judge or get grossed out just here to listen and go through it all together is there a family planning clinic in your area? we have walk in centres near me (I'm not quite sure what they do as I just work in the same health centre as them rather than been there) but they might be able to get to seen by specialist sooner and possibly more likely to be sympathetic/understand than a Gp. Hugest hugs but don't give up if it's inside at all they may still get up there.xxxx

latenight there's no such thing as tmi. We are all going through this. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I'm not sure about this, but if it's at the entrance I would think you have a chance still. My uterus is retrograde too. And my iuis always hurt. Are you able to go to a different clinic? That's not very nice that they forgot about you. Hugs.

I'm sorry, that was probably far more info than you needed. They said it was very unusual, so I am sure that those of you still waiting will be fine.

Horrible. The doctor couldn't get the catheter in - apparently my retrograde uterus also has a weird entrance. It was very, very uncomfortable. In the end rather than waste the sperm he left it in the entrance. Then after I'd been moved to another room for the rest, everyone just vanished. 25 minutes later I went up to reception and said I couldn't find anyone, and said I hadn't got the leaflet or pregnancy test, they looked surprised, but then I thought that they probably didn't give that if it didn't work, and had to leave before I started crying. Then I went back to work and had to be cheery in front of a load of kids.

The plus side is it doesn't count as a try so I still have two tries left. The downside is that the doctor said he wouldn't want to have another try until it had been investigated. I don't know why he didn't use the ultrasound as the previous doctor did.

I will hunt out some affirmations and meditation cds, they can definitely help, especially as I'm beginning to get a little anxious! Just so badly want this to work!

I had my 6 day scan today with so far 4 follicles on my right and 7 on the left, Mondays scan will let me know if it's Wednesday for egg collection or Friday, hoping they keep growing nicely.
