AF has arrived ladies so I'm out! Gp appointment today so trying to stay positive xx

LuciBee231015 · 08/09/2016 07:01

Do you have to wait until af to start taking agnus castus though? Or can you start taking it at any time?

BoBo90 · 08/09/2016 06:57

Moonlight - I have to wait until cd1-5 for my first blood test. I'm currently cd43 and 5dpo so not long to wait 😊

HighHopes I was taking 2 X 1000mg tablets a day 😊 I bought the £6.50 ones of Amazon too

Welcome back May!! 😄

Hello all! Mind if I come back?! Joined for my first 4 cycles but then decided to try and have a break from obsessing! Hasn't really worked, I have still been reading just not posting! I'm onto month 8 but cycle 6 of trying as still getting 40-55 day cycles.

I used AC and the first cycle was 28 days but then increased back up after that so I stopped. But think there might be more to my irregular cycles. You would think after 8 months off the pill they would settle.

looby1304 · 07/09/2016 20:56

Thanks moonlight! I've given myself a talking too and have got a busy week next week at work so I should be ok now!

HighHopes16 · 07/09/2016 20:50

No it's ok moonlight Grin lazy is the perfect word to describe me at the moment, currently watching bake off with a cup of tea and a few squares of dark chocolate. I need to find my mojo again!

MoonlightMojitos · 07/09/2016 20:41

Oh and I was taking just folic acid and vit d before (just started pregnacare this month) the boots ones are cheap and 3 for 2 for anyone getting them separately!

JackiePaper · 07/09/2016 20:39

Thanks for the info, sounds interesting. My cycles are pretty short anyway 25-27 days so I don't want to make them any shorter! Just saw a link to this on a friends Facebook, might record it, sounds interesting 😀

looby pull yourself together! Haha. It's OK hun we've all done it, just try not to drive yourself crazy. Fx for you but you wont know anything for a while yet and symptom spotting doesn't make a difference to the outcome so try and just relax :)

johno alright, calm down lol. That's a shame that it seemed to work at first but not since

Thanks highhopes I'm sure I'll be regretting it tomorrow! I felt like I had to really as I've been so lazy lately, same as you (no offense!!!!) that since my BFP I stopped everything, time to get back in time shape with the view that the healthier I am before next bfp the healthier the pregnancy will be (hopefully!). Good luck at the drs but hopefully it'll turn up before then.

HighHopes16 · 07/09/2016 20:39

Luci I just googled Vitex and it seems to be just another name for AC as is chasteberry. There the ones I've ordered, on prime so they should arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed it works for us both!!
I ordered some Seven seas too as coming to the end of my pregnacare.

LuciBee231015 · 07/09/2016 20:34

Johno I take folic acid and vit D seperately. Have done for the past 2 months x

Johno85 · 07/09/2016 20:21

Erm I'm not trying to stress the point- don't know why it posted 3 times. Sorry!

Johno85 · 07/09/2016 20:21

I used AC which I though shortened my cycle as was only 31 days. Unfortunately it's had no effect since and I've used nearly a pack of 100. Have now stopped and decided when I finish my seven seas I'm just going to take vitamin d and folic acid separately. Nothing to lose hey!

I've ordered the £6.50 ones and some one step of tests 😂 Why not?!

LuciBee231015 · 07/09/2016 20:06

High hopes, do you know the difference between Angus castus vitrex and just Angus castus?? It's the vitrex one that is £6.50...

HighHopes16 · 07/09/2016 20:01

Jackie I've read that Agnus castus is meant to regulate your monthly cycles, Kickstart ovulation & 'promotes' fertility.
BoBo what dosage did you take of AC and how often? I'm sure you're not broken! Flowers
Moonlight well done on the run! I've completely let myself go since my m/c, really need to get back to Pilates to strengthen my core again! I'm seeing the docs next week so going to mention it all then.

looby1304 · 07/09/2016 19:37

I promised myself I wouldn't do this but I'm madly symptom spotting already, and I'm only 5-6 days into the 2ww! Very tired, veiny boobs, lots of creamy cm (unusual for me) - you name it, I've convinced myself it's happening to me! Please somebody tell me to get over it and just get on with life for another week or so! Angry

MoonlightMojitos · 07/09/2016 19:09

bobo so glad to hear they took you seriously and got things moving for you! Hope he/she was nice and it all moves quickly. When will you have bloods?

I've just been for a run for the first time in about 4 months and currently look/feel like a sweaty tomato. Taking me as long to recover as I ran for 😂.

Cd5, looks like af is gone so going to dtd tonight. Opks still aren't here :( hopefully tomorrow. Only been doing bbt for 3 days but pretty much the same every morning so far so that's good, I thought being a very broken sleeper might not work but seems to be OK. I've been setting alarm 30 mins before I actually get up, sticking it in and then going back to sleep!

highhopes when will you think about speaking to the Dr hun? I'm sure they can give you something as a one off to trigger af.

BoBo90 · 07/09/2016 19:08

It's definitely worth giving the ac a try! My first cycle was 76days so I started taking AC on cd 1 of cycle 2 and it was a 35day cycle which is average-ish for me. Don't know if that was thanks to the AC or just luck but worth a try. I took it until cycle 6 but it didn't make my cycles any shorter so stopped (tbh I'm pretty sure I'm broken so doubt it could help much)
As an added bonus it made my period completely pain free so it's worth it just for that!! 😄

Lapin, fingers crossed this is a sticky bfp, must be hard to get excited with everything that's going on. Fingers crossed AF is about to make an appearance highhopes, must be really difficult stuck in limbo. What is agnus castus supposed to do then? I know I'm only on cycle 2 but want to give it my best shot as neither dp or me have time on our sides. Got some Severn seas multi vits today so gonna start taking them, folic acid and vitamin D and B so hopefully everything I need, eager to hear of other supplements that could help tho!

HighHopes16 · 07/09/2016 18:06

Amazon have 100 1000mg tablets for £6.50 and the reviews are fab on there. Let's do it!! Grin

LuciBee231015 · 07/09/2016 17:02

I've read conflicting stuff on it. Some ppl swear by it and others think it's the devil! ...so I'm a little confused on whether to get it or not.

Where are you going to order it from? I might join you and we can compare notes x

HighHopes16 · 07/09/2016 16:40

My miscarriage op was 9 1/2 weeks ago so technically I'm on CD66 :( I've had cramps and spotting on and off but no actual AF yet.
I guess its worth a try!
