Zambean. I'm in the same situation as you. Had faint positive on Thursday. That would have been day 30 of my cycle, but have only had two periods since stopping pill (36 then 32 days). Had blood hcg measured today because I needed my thyroid checked anyway and mentioned the faint bfp. The result was 20.5. This is day 34 of my cycle. So quite possible that's normal for this early. But I'm stressing that it's too low and that I'll miscarry :( My husband is so excited. I've booked an early scan for at 8 weeks but already scared the pregnancy won't make it to then. I just want to relax and enjoy that I am pregnant, but like you already stressing out! Going to have a phone call with my gp tomorrow. Wish I'd never asked for the blood test!

Loulabelle1990 · 25/07/2016 17:40

Please do share a pic bobo! We can cast out expert eyes over it!

Zam I also agree with Bobo and pesky to wait a couple of days (if sanity allows you to Wink) otherwise your just wasting the pg tests too!

I have to say, I usually get ovulation pains around now but I've not even had a twinge. I wonder if this is normal or a new thing which now isn't going to happen for me? I've had EWCM so I know somethings happening at least!

I'm so glad the weather has finally cooled down a bit! How is everyone else? xxx

peskyfeelings · 25/07/2016 17:29

We need to see a picture BoBo Let's hope that you aren't going mad and it's a bfp! Keep widdling on those sticks! :)

Zam I agree with BoBo about waiting a few days. In response to asking how we keep sane...we don't! I've concluded that ttc and sanity are two concepts that can never go hand in hand.

I am currently either possibly pg or infertile, depending on which FF setting I use. If I set it to OPK then I'm 17DPO!!!!!! If I set it to advanced then I have't actually ov at all.

I know which setting I prefer, even if it is totally false! ;)

BoBo90 · 25/07/2016 17:05

Sorry about af nutcase Flowers fx next month will be lucky for you!

I hope af buggers off for you Sarah! Enjoy your holiday 🌴🍹

Glad your cold turkey cycle is going well Lou 😄 Get dtd and catch that egg!!

Hi Zam! Try not to worry! Everyone's hcg levels build up at different rates so it's totally normal to have faint lines to start with! You also might have implanted late so you haven't had as many days to create hcg as someone else on the same dpo!
I would personally wait a couple days before doing a digital as they aren't as sensitive and you can get a negative when really you are well and truly up the duff 😄
And CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🍼🎉

9dpo now... 😴 Boring! Another cheapy bfn this morning but I think I can see the faintest hint of shadow of a line I'm totally mental and there is absolutely nothing there I will just keep poas'ing every hour every morning until af!

Where are you all hiding? It's a bit quiet on here! Any sign of ov Cookie? How's it going for everyone?

Good luck all and fx for more bfps!

Hello everyone. I'm completely new to all this so hoping you'll forgive me not being totally familiar with all the terminology, acronyms etc!

I'm 34 and TTC after having been on the pill since I was 16. Came off it in March, and my cycle seemed to settle down quite quickly. This is our first month trying. My period was due yesterday and I've had a couple of very very faint BFPs but now I'm already obsessing, wondering if they're too faint and what that means, wondering if I should do a digital test, googling pictures of other people's BFPs to compare and to try to tell myself mine look the same...I can't believe how quickly I have descended into obsession and madness!

What do you all do to keep sane?

Loulabelle1990 · 25/07/2016 10:30

Sorry AF got you nutcase!

Hope you have a lovely holiday Sarah. I would love to be relaxing by a pool or on a beach right now!

I have to say I am feeling very relaxed and chilled out this cycle without using OPK's etc. AF is due around 9th August so still ages to go yet but supposedly meant to be fertile this week so we shall see.

Sending baby dust to all xxx

sarahhh1984 · 25/07/2016 05:52

Greetings from Greece, ladies! Just wanted to say congratulations to all the BFPs and sorry to hear about the BFNs.

AF is currently still happening. It's lasted 7 days now which has reminded me of why I enjoyed being on the pill - shorter periods. OH keeps asking me when we can start baby making and then looking really disappointed when he sees me fishing out more tampons from my suitcase! Hopefully today is the last day and then onwards and upwards with cycle 2!

Nutcaserugby · 24/07/2016 20:20

Af has just started so that's me out for July. Fingers crossed for August Blush

BoBo90 · 24/07/2016 17:54

Johno - I know right! Easy mistake to make Wink have a great holiday lovely!! xx

Sorry to hear about the bfn Sparkle. You might have had the surge but not released an egg, keep monitoring cm and doing opks (if you do them) in case you have another surge! Oh and dtd obvs Wink

I am 8dpo today! I was naughty and used a cheapy test this morning and no luck! Hardly surprising at 8dpo though is it ladies? I should know better! Naughty bobo! Af is due Thursday/Friday so still forever a bit longer to wait Sad

Our preggos list in growing! Come on more bfps!!! Grin

That's rubbish sparkle :( How long have you been off hormonal contraception now? And when was the positive opk? Could it be that the test is not sensitive enough?
Hope you have something nice planned today to distract yourself x

sparkle789 · 24/07/2016 09:58

Tested again this morning and it was a bfn again. Cd 41 now. I think that when I got my peak opk I didn't actually ovulate and it's just a really long cycle. :(

Johno85 · 23/07/2016 23:44

Pahahaha bobo. To be fair you've only post a few million hundred posts Grin

BoBo90 · 23/07/2016 22:05

Haha Johno I read your last message as 'bobo I don't think you've posted on here before' 😆 I was like errmmmm pretty sure I have been spamming you all with nonsense for quite some time! 😜

Claire that's so frustrating for you!! Just keep molesting your oh and hopefully you'll catch the egg when it finally decides to make an appearance 😉

Sorry boo boo it's just little old me that does the last and I do miss things occasionally! Sometimes I literally have to go back through the pages of posts and take notes just to update the list 😆 I have no life I remember your name though so will get you added to the list when I'm next on my laptop! What cycle and baby number are you on my dear? Xxx

OP posts:
ClaireSunflower · 23/07/2016 20:51

Hi everyone, in on cd24 now and still no ovulation. I'm getting a bit frustrated now because I've been getting almost positive opks that go back to very negative ones the next day on and off for over a week now. The only thing I've done different this month is not take Agnus Castus so I will be back on it next month. Slightly toying with the idea of taking soy isoflavones as I've heard they are good for ovulating earlier but I'm a bit worried about messing up my cycle even more. Has anyone used these before?

Johno85 · 23/07/2016 20:27

Hey booboo I don't think you've posted on here before have you lovely? Normally you post, we all natter about ttc then you get put on the list SmileX

booboodedooboop · 23/07/2016 19:34

Did I do something wrong to not be included on the list?!

BoBo90 · 23/07/2016 16:05

Sorry about bfn sparkle 😔 Tbh my lovely I would go to the gp! If your pregnant they can do a blood test and you will known definite but if you're not you need the v&d checked out! It's not good to have it for so long and will really take its toll on your body xxx

sparkle789 · 23/07/2016 15:18

Congratulations to the bfp ladies :)
We're back from holiday now. Still no af, vomiting and nausea most days but just tested and it's a bfn :( gutted. Will try again with fmu then leave it another week

BoBo90 · 23/07/2016 14:24

Huge congrats Anna 🎉🍼🎉 I'll move you to the Preggos section later 😆 Xxx

Yes lapin I'd like to do the digital test and actually see the word 'pregnant'! I'm really not sure about telling family. I wanted to ring my mum straight away but refrained. I think after I've seen a doctor we will tell our parents. We are so close it would be hard to keep the secret. What about you?

Lapin387 · 23/07/2016 07:58

It's the same for me AnnaKate. Keep checking the test we did to remind myself. We're going to test again on Monday and if the line is strong enough do a clear blue digital. I don't think it will feel real until after a scan or when we tell people. When are you planning to tell your families?

AnnaKateNZ · 23/07/2016 07:10

Thanks Lapin It doesn't seem real at the moment! Xx

Lapin387 · 23/07/2016 07:05

Congratulations AnnaKate! Great line x

AnnaKateNZ · 23/07/2016 06:39

Hello ladies, I've been a bit absent as I thought this month was a bit of a wash out. Not much baby dancing and too busy at work to think about TCC but the compulsion to test took over this afternoon and ...
