Morning ladies hope your all okay today?

Fx this is your cycle bobo and you don't have to visit your GP! I use my phone with the app maybe that's why the emoji keyboard doesn't work for me?

Due to me being so chilled out this cycle I didn't realise AF should in fact be due tomorrow if I am having a normal 33 day cycle. Usually I get loads of spots before AF but haven't got them yet so maybe I am going to be late? I'm not sure when to test! Last cycle was 33, before that was 36 and before that one was 33 again...

BoBo90 · 08/08/2016 07:09

Yay Sunny! Lovely to hear from you! Congratulations on have a little fidgety miss in there! 😄 I'm glad you're having a good pregnancy as enjoying it all 😊 Hopefully we will all be joining you and Chapman soon xxx

Claire sorry about af - fx next cycle will be a luckier one!!

Cookie I'm really sorry about af, I thought this was going to be your month when I read your first post about being 9dpo! At least the longer lp is a positive to take from that cycle! And you can focus on your dr appointment now.
Have you been trying for a year yet? I think you're a month or so ahead of me? I find these days instead of looking forward to trying each month I'm just waiting to hit that year mark so I can go back to the gp for tests!

Good luck for this week Lou! We need another preggo for our list 😉

Oh and I can't remember who asked but I can use my emojis when I post from my phone 😄 But on laptop I just have the normal mumsnet ones X

So envious of your lack of post-pill symptoms, Luci! Last month (my first off the pill) my nipples became unbearably painful almost immediately and stayed that way until just before AF started. It made dtd very difficult as I had to ask DH to not touch my boobs! And speaking of boobs, they massively inflated after my withdrawal bleed so none of my bras fitted - although they deflates again once AF started.

Luckily, neither symptom has happened this cycle (yet!) so hoping it was just pill withdrawal. In fact no symptoms this cycle at all except some cramps here and there - but I'm really making an effort not to symptom spot so I'm dismissing most things as my imagination so as not to work myself up.

Sorry to everyone who got there AF/BFN. Fx for you next cycle. x

Loulabelle1990 · 07/08/2016 20:27

Sunny it's so so nice to hear from you. So happy for you and DH having a little girl. How lovely. I cannot wait to be in the same boat as you, hopefully not waiting too long!

Cookie - I am glad your LP is longer this cycle, this must be a good sign! Fx the results of your scan come back all okay - just read AF came today - so sorry to hear that Hunnie. Hope your okay CakeWineFlowers

Sorry AF got you Claire. Onwards and upwards to the next cycle I guess!

Luci you are lucky not to have had any symptoms !! I got symptoms like straight away. Maybe your lucky and won't have any xx

LuciBee231015 · 07/08/2016 20:01

Ah sorry to those who got a visit from AF... Bitch!

So I'm day 7 off the pill. Had brown spotting on day 5 and 6 and now nothing. So on cm watch for now. My ov testing strips came today so when I see cm change I will do some of those to see if anything is happening.

I did one today just because I wanted to see what it was like 🙈 ...it was negative (obviously). Just got a bit excited! Ha!

As far as post pill symptoms go, not really had anything... Early days though.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 16:36

Thanks Claire, hope you're ok too lovely xx

ClaireSunflower · 07/08/2016 12:03

cookie so sorry hun, hope you're ok xx

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 11:35

Sorry to hear of AF Claire Sad looks like I spoke too soon and my happiness was short lived. AF is now here too. Gutted Sad xx

ClaireSunflower · 07/08/2016 11:04

Aw sunny lovely to hear from you and so happy your pregnancy is going well and having a little girl! You give us all hope so thanks for the update and wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

cookie 9dpo, that's amazing, I really hope this month is your month. Fx AF stays away for you and I know what you mean about the red alert haha!

Unfortunately for me the spotting turned into full AF so a bit annoyed. What a rubbish cycle! Didn't ov till cd30 then only had a 7 day lp! Glad this bullshit cycle is over and onwards and upwards to the next one. I'm a bit peed off because 4 months off the pill and if anything my cycles are more erratic now than when I first came off, just would have thought there'd be some improvement by now Angry

Cookie22 · 07/08/2016 10:15

Sunny!! I've missed you huni! You were the first one I spoke to on here after my post pill/cycle meltdown. Wow, a little girlie. I'm absolutely over the moon for you and so glad you're doing well & enjoying your pregnancy. Please keep lurking and posting every now and then (especially when mini Sunny arrives so we can have a wee peak at some photos). She'll be here before you know it! You girls give me hope!

How are all the tww'ers doing?? Claire, did the spotting turn into full blown AF?? I hope it didn't lovely! Can totally totally empathise with you regarding the short luteal phase.

Lou, I was out at a family birthday dinner last night and had a couple of glasses of wine too. I felt guilty but, like Bobo says, I really don't think it's going to do any harm yet!

Bobo, so glad to hear that ov seems to be approaching even earlier than last time. Get on it girl!! You'll be in that tww before you know it.

Just want to thank everyone for my post scan support. You girlies are all just so lovely. Not got my gp appointment until a week on Mon so I'll hopefully find out an answer then. Currently 9dpo... Yes 9dpo!! This is the first time in like EVER that I've managed to reach 9dpo (well in a few months anyways). I feel like I'm frightened to move and every toilet trip I simply don't want to look in fear of red alert. Does anyone else get like that? In the restaurant last night I swear I actually pee'd and stared straight at the door in front of me and didn't want to wipe! Tmi!! May do a cheeky test tomorrow if no AF xx

Sunnydays321 · 07/08/2016 06:03

Hi all, especially cookie, johno, loulabelle, bobo... Some of the original gang. I'm still lurking and catching up with the thread, sorry to see you are still going and not on the preggo list yet, but it will happen. Remember it took me 9 months, and I was losing hope (and patience.... And my sanity some months!) with the bloody craziness that is post pill cycles and ttc. Hi to all the newer faces as well, good luck on your journey. Me and Chapman are both due in December and both having little girls, we are on the same Facebook page and it's lovely to have someone to chat to going through the same stuff, and it all started here. You were all a great support! I've got my fingers crossed for you. I'm currently lying awake (since 4am)... With this wiggly little baba squirming away in my tum. Nearly 23 weeks now and enjoying it all, not taking it for granted and embracing the various discomforts and worries (and aiming not to complain about any of it) because I know lots of people want to be in my shoes, and would kill for the heartburn and aches and insomnia etc! It will be all of you soon I'm sure! Il keep lurking and looking out for news xxx

Loulabelle1990 · 06/08/2016 23:45

Thanks for the reassurance BoBo! It was one of those social events where I couldn't really not drink if you know what I mean!

BoBo90 · 06/08/2016 22:50

Don't panic Lou, nothing is passed on to baby until about week 6 so you are safe 😄 Xx

OP posts:
Loulabelle1990 · 06/08/2016 21:54

Oh I couldn't do temping either, it's just another thing to add to the mix and I would definitely drive myself crazy with it so it's not worth it!!

Ladies - i went to Ascot today and I have had 3 drinks. Do you think this is bad being in the tww?? I feel awful now just in case BlushSad.

looby1304 · 06/08/2016 14:04

Thanks jjspoon. I think I'm going to give it a go this cycle, more just to get in the habit of doing it rather than to analyse it too much. Then if I need to do it and look at it more closely next cycle I'll already be in the habit.
So much for the "we'll just see what happens" approach I was going for - it's so hard not to get obsessed with it all!

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 12:23

Hey looby I only started temping 2 weeks ago and still have no clue. Mine are all over the place so not telling me anything lol. To be honest though I probably wont continue it for long as my cycles are regular so I know roughly when I ovulate every month so there's probably not any point for me I just thought it was interesting so wanted to give it a go. If your cycles aren't regular though it's another tool to help you plan.

looby1304 · 06/08/2016 11:39

So I've just had a BBT thermometer delivered, and am in two minds whether to use it. I don't know if it's good to track to have an idea of what's going on, or if it's going to make me slightly obsessed with temps and symptom spotting! What's everyone's views/experience of tracking their temps?

Tommygirl10 · 06/08/2016 11:26

Congratulations Marmite! It's so exciting to see a bfp!
LuciBee i remember feeling quite anxious when I came off the pill, panicking about whether I was even fertile etc. I'm on cycle 4 now and feel much calmer. It is a waiting game but just watch and wait and you will fine. I started off using CB OV tests but bought one step ones from Amazon which are much cheaper and I was able to track OV that way. But I didn't track until last cycle just so I could let my body settle into a routine. I think I panicked last month that I might not be ovulating but felt much calmer when I had a positive OV test. Good luck and enjoy the anticipation of it all.

I'm currently in FW. Not dtd as much as I'd like but going to Australia for two weeks next week so not putting too much pressure on anything. I can imagine I will be less calm for september cycle though. Hmm

Good luck to all the tww'ers! Grin x

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 11:23

Hahah thanks purple, though it's two weeks before I'd be due!! So I'd be about to drop! I don't know what to do! It's very early day yet, but feel bad her spending money if I can't fit in it/maybe won't even be a bridesmaid anymore??!!

Purpleviola14 · 06/08/2016 10:41

claire as jjspoon said, when I saw the doc last night he also mentioned the only thing you should take is paracetamol but only if you really need to. I didn't even know about the ibuprofen being unsafe either.

lou haha even listening to you is making me chilled! Yes I've been doing cold turkey too, how great is it 😊 I did do one temp a few days ago just to confirm I've ovd naughty me. But next month I'm not doing anything at all.
It's still been hard though as there are 3 girls all of at work so hard to take my mind off things.

marmite that is a tricky one! My sister was due 2 weeks before I got married so we went for the option of a lace up back with modesty panel. That way there's much more give there as you've no idea whether you will pop back to normal size, plus the last thing you wanna do after just giving birth is squeezing into a dress. Maybe lay it on thick that you love that style of dress? Haha

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 09:57

I haven't told anyone yet purple, it's so hard not to say anything though! I think I need a little more time to get my head around first anyway. But I am visiting my parents next weekend and I know they will find it very unusual when I don't have any wine...Hmmm. I'm also going bridesmaid dress shopping at the weekend, one of my oldest friends is getting married. The wedding day is around two weeks before what I think my due date would be. At the other side of the country. Not sure what I should do?! I don't really want to tell her yet but then if we buy dresses at the weekend that I probably won't be wearing...what should I do??!

claire I also thought maybe implantation bleed when I read that? I know it's confusing with so much information and advice out there, that we don't always know what's reputable. That's why I decided to take no supplements or anything other than folic acid and eating as healthy and varied a diet with loads of fruit and veg and good fats as I could. It is tempting to try different things though I know!

loulou great work on the cold turkey cycle! I did nothing but OPKs this cycle. I think if I ever did temps and charting I would go full blown crazy lady! Hope you manage to keep staying chilled and relaxed about it all! I don't really know what to do with myself now today..,

ClaireSunflower · 06/08/2016 09:39

Thanks jjspoon I didn't know that. There's loads of people that say take it for ttc and loads that say don't, but I am not going to take any more just in case! So much conflicting advice when you are ttc, it's a minefield isn't it!

Loulabelle1990 · 06/08/2016 09:36

Oh purple I do love the cold turkey cycle! No worrying about flashing smiley faces on an opk and just doing it when we want to. So much less stressful, I am so much more relaxed about it all! And like you say it makes the time go so much quicker and not on my mind half as much. Have you tried going cold turkey?

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 09:35

I've just Googled it and that's crazy that a few articles are saying it can help prevent miscarriage and others are saying it causes miscarriage. My midwife advised definately not to take it. Like this ttc business wasn't confusing enough without mixed advice, they obviously don't know I guess.

Jjspoon · 06/08/2016 09:30

claire Do NOT take aspirin hun! It can cause miscarriage if taken during conception and when pregnant..... so can ibuprofen. Paracetamol is the only safe painkiller in pregnancy. I don't want to worry you but please stop!
