Ah sounds like it all went smoothly Sarah. It's so exciting!

Momma, when are you due to test? x

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 11:43

Don't want to get your hopes up momma but dry mouth was one of my earliest symptoms (not that I knew it at the time) and I've still got it now. In fact, I'm in an endless cycle of drinking and peeing! Maybe hang on to test a bit though so you don't test too early? x

mommathatwearspink · 17/08/2016 11:10

Glad your appointment at the GP went well sarahh. Exciting times ahead Smile

Is dry mouth a symptom of ovulation or pregnancy? I woke up today and cannot get rid of a dry mouth! Not due to test until end of next week.

tatatetelle · 17/08/2016 11:08

and congrats sarah!!! Flowers

tatatetelle · 17/08/2016 11:07

HighHopes, can you get your the results from your surgery over the phone when they receive it? The results from my scan were straightforward and could be read to me on the phone so hopefully they can do that for you as well. My GP didn't have much to add on to them, but because mine were clearly polycystic she's agreed to refer us even though we have been trying for less than a year.

Good luck with the waiting ladies!!

sarahhh1984 · 17/08/2016 11:06

Morning, ladies. I've just got back from my GP appointment and thought I'd tell you about it as I had a slightly different experience from marmite.

Doctor didn't bother doing a test as he said hpts were reliable enough and since I'd had two BFPs I definitely was pg (woohoo!). Then he just did a basic check-up, checking my weight, giving some screening questions and checking my heart rate, pulse and blood pressure. Once he was happy everything was OK, he gave me the number for Liverpool Women's Early Access Service and told me to call them ASAP to make my first midwife appointment.

Just did that when I got home and spoke to a very friendly lady who did a few more screening questions and got me set up on the hospital's system. Then she found the next available midwife appointment near me which is at a local children's centre on 5 September when I guess I'll be just shy of 7 weeks. Apparently my first midwife appointment will be held there but all of the others will be out of my GP's surgery and/or the hospital itself.

So that was my experience! Apparently I'll find out more about the appointment itself when they send a letter through confirming the time and date.

Welcome to all the new people and fx for all those due to test. xx

HighHopes16 · 17/08/2016 09:57

I rang the doctors today to get the results of my scan but the soonest appointment was mid September! :(

I keep wondering about why she made me do a pregnancy test, it was like she could see something on my scan so wanted to be sure I wasn't pregnant. It might just be leftover tissue from my m/c but I'm sort of wishing its a very early new pregnancy. Star

growcookeat · 17/08/2016 08:04

I hate the waiting too Claire and Seven! Try to keep busy so it distracts me from it all. I know what you mean about long cycles - mine have been all over the place since coming off the pill. First few were around 23 days then lengthened to 30+ days recently Confused makes it so hard to keep track!

Fx for anyone testing soon.

Seven0fNine · 17/08/2016 07:52

I'm impatient too Claire This whole process seems to just be one drawn out wait 😪😪
Not good when you're feeling broody!
I'm... still.... waiting... for... AF ... 🙄😪😖😝

Good luck Shoney... My DH didn't know what hit him last month when I was up for dtd every day Haha!

Shoney85 · 17/08/2016 07:51

Suffering today with heartburn/indigestion. Don't know what's going on with my body. Anyone else get this around ovulation time cause had it last month as well? Prior to that I suffered bad when on our cruise (too much fatty foods) after being so healthy in the lead up to the wedding/honeymoon. Before that never had it before. Soooo annoying.

Anyone testing today? Hope we are all good today!!

ClaireSunflower · 17/08/2016 06:49

Congrats on the bfp sarah! amazing news, you must be so excited!

Glad you scan went well cookie it sounds really positive that your uterus and ovaries look normal. hopefully the 21 day bloods will all be fine too.

Hi to all the new people. I am at the boring stage in the cycle waiting to ovulate. Currently on cd12 so probably waiting quite a bit longer as my ovulation has been happening anywhere between cd22 and 30 since coming off the pill. So wish it would be cd14 like most people. I am quite impatient and this endless waiting doesn't help!

Shoney85 · 16/08/2016 20:31

Another two ovulation tests today and still negative however this evening there is def egg white mucus so hoping this is the start. Will be DTD tonight.

MoonlightMojitos · 16/08/2016 20:21

I had my letter reminding me to book smear last month but as I was pregnant at the time I ignored it. Now I'm wondering if I should book in or not? Obviously the timing will be difficult as don't want to do it in 2ww so would have to book first week of cycle for the following week?

MoonlightMojitos · 16/08/2016 17:12

grow woohoo! Go get him girl lol.

MoonlightMojitos · 16/08/2016 17:11

cookie that is quite a wait but not much you can do I suppose if it needs to be a certain point in the cycle. Fx for you that you get some answers anyway. Haha yes dh definately has the easier test!

Well done sticking with the cold turkey johno really hope you catch it soon! Ewcm got to be a good sign.
seven welcome to poas addiction haha.

LuciBee231015 · 16/08/2016 17:06

Well that looks dark enough to me Grow!! 👍🏻

growcookeat · 16/08/2016 17:04

Soo this is my opk from this afternoon! It's definitely getting darker. DH is back late tonight - he's not going to know what hit him when he gets here!

tatatetelle · 16/08/2016 16:09

Haha Seven wine is the only thing keeping me patiently waiting for that referral! Cheers! Wine

LuciBee231015 · 16/08/2016 16:02

2 negative ov tests for me so far today. Going to keep doing them this week still, as if my cycle turns out to be a normal 28 days then this week is the week! Will dtd every other day too. The art of seduction worked last night for those of you that were wondering 😜

Had some 'rose tinted' cm this afternoon tho and feel a bit bloated, boobs feeling a bit different as well. Hopefully signs that ov is going to happen soonish! Fx 🐓🍳

Seven0fNine · 16/08/2016 10:37

Haha at the art of seduction Luci... I found the copy of the karma sutra someone bought us for our wedding whilst having a clear out yesterday. It was hilarious, apparently you're meant to have all his mates over and clean the house and cook them lovely food then when it's time to dtd send them off with perfume and flowers...

In other news.... baaagghhh where is stupid AF?!
I'm on CD 31 (never had one this long before pill). Felt really sick the other day but then nothing past few days. Did a test yesterday (first one ever, omg poas is gonna be addictive and it doesn't help having Ovia pressuring you into doing them!) anyway, it was a bfn of course. I just want her to come so I can get on with trying next month!!

Wine sounds like a very good idea tata! 😁

tatatetelle · 16/08/2016 09:35

Massive congrats Sarah!! Star and Good luck Johno !

I haven't had AF in 5 months, but prior to being on the pill I once didn't get it for 9 months (picture a terrified 19yo.. Grin), that's when I got diagnosed with PCOS, so no massive surprise there. Next test for me is a smear in a couple of weeks to add a more recent one to the referral, GP is being super thorough which is great. She also mentioned that bcause I'm 28 it might take longer to be referred - women in their late 30s are fast tracked, which makes absolute sense, but that means I'm at the bottom of the waiting list.

I'm taking Vitamin B and folic acid as per GP recommendation, but wondering if there's anything else you would recommend I should take / do while waiting for the referral to come through? Wine maybe? Grin x

Johno85 · 16/08/2016 07:45

Hi sarah massive congrats to you Flowers

I'm on cd26 now of my cold turkey cycle. Can't be sure about ov as not bbt or opk-ing. Apologies to those who are having problems with ewcm, but I seem to be the opposite at the moment. I've had 10 days of it! Wonder whether I haven't even ov but my body's just been gearing up to. All my ov pains have gone now. Anyone had similar? One things for sure, my cycles are still irregular and still looooooong!

Going to just try to dtd as often as I can until AF or BFP!

LuciBee231015 · 16/08/2016 07:31

How exciting! I can't wait for the day I get to tell DH.

Well I did another ov test this morning and line is fainter than last night, I'm going to keep doing them every day this week still though. IF I was on a normal 28 day cycle which I don't actually know, then this week would be my fertile week so no harm in trying anyway is there. x

sarahhh1984 · 16/08/2016 06:54

Morning ladies! Thanks for all the congratulations. Me and DH are ecstatic! Just did a second test with fmu and I'm still getting a BFP so it's definitely real!

Line is very similar to yesterday (on the pic with two tests it's the bottom one) but it appeared really quickly so I guess that's a good sign. I have a GP appointment tomorrow morning so I'll just go from there.

I really can't believe it's happened so quickly! Xx
