Thread 4: Ttc without ease, loopy length cycles, post pill poas and everything in between!

So AF arrived in the night full force completely out the blue again. 23 day cycle. I no longer have any idea what is going on in there. Cycles before mc were around 29 days with ov cd 15 and a I thought the cycle last month was maybe just fluke short one as first one after mc but seems not. So my options now are I'm either ovulating really really early (like cd8?! For my lp to still be the same) or I'm not ov at all, or my lp has dropped dramatically which I didn't think was meant to happen. I was sure I ovd on cd13 this time going by ewcm and massive libido increase but my lp can't have dropped from 14/15 days to 10 can it? Definitely going to use opks this cycle to try and figure out what's going on but at this rate I'm going to have to start testing when af is still here!

Hey marmite that's amazing news. I'll be a complete sobbing mess whenever I get to the scan point. How long was the cycle you conceived on and when did you ov?

Just thought I'd let you know I had my early scan this morning, there's actually a little bean in there with a tiny wee flickering heartbeat! We saw and heard the heartbeat really clearly couldn't believe it! I think I'd been so cautious had sort of convinced myself there wasn't going to be anything in there that I'm kind of now in shock! She said it was about 8 weeks which is exactly what I thought based on my loooong cycles and late Ov! Yikes it's all a bit real now!!

Hope everyone is ok and maintaining PMA!! Also, ignore Ovia and don't poas too soon!!!

So AF came on 24th while we were away. As soon as it finished we started dtd. Got home on thurs and did opk on Friday on CD 10 -got a smiley face so dtd almost immediately (in fact DH couldn't wait till bedtime and carried me up the stairs as soon as he got in from work )! Timings fit with the shorter cycles I've been having so fx we caught it this time!

Back to work on Monday after the summer break so plenty to take my mind off things anyway.

Who's next to test?!

Really felt like af was on her way Sunday - Wednesday. Now yesterday and today i feel absolutely fine... sigh

Cd29 following my breakthrough bleed/spotting.

POAS this morning and got a BFN, so maybe the stomach cramps mean AF is on her way? Not sure why I'd get EWCM a few days before though?

Johno I tested this morning with a Tescos test and nothing. Just trying not to feel defeated hoping I am only due next week and it was too early to test. Ordered a first response test online so should arrive today so will maybe test again on Monday.

It's the sucky thing ofor not being regular....so many months hoping for a bfp due to late af but just an irregular cycle.

Bobo will try putting something next to the test to focus. Starting to feel like I am only seeing a faint line cos I really want to.

Oh well. It's a waiting game again 😐

Morning ladies, just wanted to let you know that I had my early scan yesterday and all is well. Saw their little heartbeat and everything. So the spotting was nothing to be worried about.

Apparently I'm actually 5w + 5d which means I'm about 5 days behind where I thought I was. This means I ov'd on 7 August rather than 2 August and also means my BFP was only at 8dpo! So, even when you have your BFP, your body still likes screwing with you!

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks for all your support and advice while I was on this thread. I do keep checking in and I have my fx for lots of BFPs soon! x

Laying in bed last night had like a burning feeling in my belly, not quite a period pain but felt like someone had lot a fire in there! Only lasted a minute. Headaches and backache have gone now. Just waiting for af to show I guess. I at a wedding tonight so looking fw to a few 🍷

Clue seems ok so far. To be honest is probably more the fact I'm just using one. Clue is about cycle tracking and including letting you know when the fertile week is rather than shoving ttc down your cervix throat.

Just finished my random 2 day AF. Now to wait and see what this cycle brings.

bb how's it looking this morning. I'm with bobo dying to see a pic. Is that why people normally put their engagement rings, pennies etc next to the Preggo stick to focus the camera?

Hi all, cd27 here and still no ovulation. My ovaries need to man up! Think I've been gearing up to ovulate and then not for the past week and a half as kept getting nearly positive opks, loads of ewcm and ov pains but then back to negative and then getting darker and lighter. Don't know what the hell my body is doing but I am almost certain I haven't ovulated as still getting occasional ov pains and I always get really sore nipples from 2dpo onwards which I've not had. I'm giving up on my ovia app as it's just stressing me out more!

Hey moonlight. It's the first time I've downloaded clue. I'm with you- the pic of the man lying down with a tie on to represent protected sex made me lol.

You can add bbt on clue so think I may do that. I'm undecided as I find bbt great for tracking ov but it's like I start the day instantly thinking about ttc. Not to mention trying to be quiet so if my DH is on a day off I don't wake him up!

I also still use clue johno good choice! I particularly like the pictures for protected and unprotected haha. I have turned off all tracking options except af, cm and dtd! Fx it's lucky for you! Have you given up on temping then? That's the only reason I downloaded the other apps as you can't track that.

So I agree with all the comments about the app. Every time I was told off for not dtd I felt like throwing my phone out the window!

Have gotten rid of all the apps and downloaded "clue". Is simple, funny and to the point. That's me done now!

Having the most bizarre AF. Was meant to be on cd3 of AF today but only really spotting. Had backache, bb ache, nausea, dizziness and bloody spots- I normally have really good skin think my body has gone "holy shit we are free of the pill!!!"

So just caught up... I so felt like I'd had like a week away from mn and turns out I lasted 3 days haha ah well. Had a nice few days keeping myself busy and not thinking about ttc. Currently dog/house sitting at my mums by myself and enjoyed the time alone dare I say it (poor dp was getting used to the regular dtd 😂) another 2 days away til she's back.

I must admit there seems to have been some confusion a few pages back and I was commended for my crocheting skills but unfortunately there seems to be a mix up and it is seven with the talent! I'd love to take the praise but I have as much creative talant as a rock and am much better suited to spreadsheets and list making and that my friends is why I work in accounts lol.

johno good on you! I got rid of them all (had glow, ff and ovia) as they were causing me more stress than help! Must be tricky for you with your long variable cycles though, maybe pick whichever one you can out the most info in? Has one been more reliable for you at predicting ov signs far?

luci you might do! Don't rule it out. My first cycle was 29 days after 12 years of the pill.
