Thanks everyone, so i had a 28 day cycle last month and this month is 21, does not make sense, anyway that means i have been able to book my Hycosy and having it done next Wed,

DizzyMerry · 08/08/2016 16:51

hope you're all doing well. Just been really busy here so not had the time to read/post.

Dizzy glad the bloods are out of the way. Hope you get your appointment through quickly. Enjoy your holiday.

Rainy hope the HyCosy goes well.

Magpie hope you're feeling well now. Colds are no fun at all!

Boris 24 weeks?? The time seems to be flying. So pleased all is going well for you.

Kellz I'm glad your scan went well. Nice to see you on here again.

Ghengis you're getting married this week?! How exciting, eek. Every dr or hospital appointment I take it to be an invitation to drop my knickers! Even did it for a externalscan Blush

No news here. AF is due on Thursday/Friday and will definitely be coming as we've been crap at dtd again. Think DH is sticking his head in the sand about it all and we've not spoken again about going for IVF but I'm actually getting a bit fed up with it all and so close to giving up Sad

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 08/08/2016 00:53

Hello everyone! Sorry for the silence - we've had visitors over and I have also been manically organising our wedding for this week (it's a quiet affair but still a bit more organising than I'd like).

DizzyN Great news about your blood tests and finally getting through to the hospital. Hopefully you won't have too long to wait for your appointment. Ha about the garden taking precedence - I like your thinking! Enjoy your holidays!

Boris that's great news about making 24 weeks! And I was glad to read I'm not the only knicker dropper around here :)

Rainy Good luck with the HyCoSy - it seems like my experience was very much like Boris' - not painful just rather undignified.

Magpie I hope you're on the mend? All is well with me but feeling really awful in the mornings, which was fun to try and hide from our visitors!

Kellz Glad the scan went well! Did your date change by much?

DizzyM Hope you're keeping well!

DizzyN HSG is done by X-ray / radiation and HyCoSy by ultrasound. Both involve pumping dye through you to check tubes.

I'm glad your blood tests and other tests are proceeding....

Have a great holiday!

DizzyNorthernBird · 05/08/2016 09:34

Not yet kellz. We'll probably see how next year goes money wise and then figure things out.

Managed to get through to the clinic yesterday, I can expect to receive a letter from the X-ray dept soon with details of the hsg appt so I don't know the date yet.

I've got too much to do today in preparation for the holiday so I'm going to leave cd3 bloods for next cycle. I'll book it in advance once I know when Af is due rather than chancing a last minute appointment.

Hope you're all well!

Kellz92 · 04/08/2016 13:04

DizzyN Was lucky you booked your blood tests early and i hope they have a free appt for tomorrow!!!

Sorry about feeling low for the babybomb! however an announcement after you know they dont want a baby really sucks!!

Hope you get your appt booked before you go away, enjoy your holiday!

Do you have a date in 2018 in mind for your wedding?

xxx

DizzyNorthernBird · 04/08/2016 08:51

Well, good news. AF came early on Tuesday which means my blood test was well timed in the end. If I hadn't pushed and had the test early though I would have had the test on the same day as AF!! So this means I could potentially have my cd3 bloods tomorrow if GP's have a free appointment! Will call them in the morning.

Yes the babybomb sucks, although I've gotten over it already. I did get my nose rubbed in it again though when my old boss announced on FB that his DP is expecting now too.......according to him they didn't want any children. Ugh.

How does the hycosy differ to hsg? I thought hsg checks for blocked tubes? I've been trying to book my hsg appointment but they never pick up the phone and haven't returned my calls yet. I hope I can get it booked before going to Spain on Monday.

genghis great news about getting your wedding authorised! We've decided to put ours off until 2018 now. Getting our garden landscaped next year is more important! Lol.

Gonna try the hospital again now, wish me luck!

MagpieCursedTea · 03/08/2016 14:23

Boris V day! That's a great milestone, hope it's all going well.

Rainy that sounds positive, fx for you! I'm okay thanks, I have a cold but well otherwise (and DH always suffers a lot more than me when I'm ill, I'm one of those rare women who gets man flu).

Kellz92 · 03/08/2016 11:49

Boris - times flying!! glad all is well xx

Borisisback · 03/08/2016 11:26

Rainy - definitely a duvet day needed after the HyCoSy - it's not plesant although mine wasn't painful it was uncomfortable and undignified. Worth doing though to find out more.

All good with me - 24 weeks now - scary but if I have the baby this early they will fight to keep it alive and it has a chance.....

Kellz92 · 03/08/2016 08:43

Rainy Thank you - hope the procedure goes well!!

Hope everyone else is ok

xx

Rainy34 · 02/08/2016 21:11

Magpie yeah my consultant said that some ladies end up pregnant a couple of months afterwards, fx. how are you?

Boris thanks, il make sure i book the day off work, don't think id want to go to work on that day, how is things with you?

Kelz glad scan went ok nice to see you on here xx

MagpieCursedTea · 02/08/2016 08:03

Rainy a 28 day cycle is definitely something to celebrate! All the best for the procedure, is that the one where some women are a bit more fertile afterwards as a side effect?

DizzyN I hope you managed to get the timing of your blood tests figured out and that you're having a great holiday! Sorry about the baby bomb, there never seems to be any justice to them.

Genghis does that mean you've set a date for the wedding? Very exciting times for you! I'm laughing quite a bit at your underwear mix up. How's things otherwise?

Borisisback · 01/08/2016 18:04

Rainy good luck for the HyCoSy not fun but good to do.

Gengis I think these days if I meet anyone medical I automaticallly take my pants off too. It's reflex after infertility tests.

Kellz92 · 01/08/2016 14:59

genghis thank you. day time was easy but shes not willing for night yet. will get there when she was ready.

Lol ooops glad you both laughed!

just had my scan so due date has moved closer!

hope youre all well xxx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 30/07/2016 01:31

Rainy Good luck with the HyCoSy next cycle. It is so hard to stay motivated so I really hope your appointment did help.

DizzyN Sorry about the babybomb, family ones are so hard (well, I've found). Great news though about the house move going well and hopefully all will work out fine with the timing of the blood tests. How long are you off to Spain for? Sounds like it should be a lovely holiday.

Boris Hope you're enjoying your holidays - a week of camping sounds lovely (though I hope you had a comfy bed!)

Magpie The wedding organising has been such a nightmare - it definitely was a laugh or else you'll cry situation. However at the end of the week we had a bit of a breakthrough, and after seven months of head-wrecking bureaucracy we've actually been given the green light Shock My embassy had to get involved so who knows what got said but it seems to have worked! I hope all is well with you?

Kellz Really sorry to read about your friend, what a terrible time for her. Good luck with the potty training - hopefully it will all be sorted before your new arrival.

No news from me, just an embarrassing story when I was at the doctor's last week and there was crossed wires and translation issues and I ended up taking off my knickers for no apparent reason Blush At least we both laughed!

Rainy34 · 29/07/2016 20:58

Dizzy i know how you feel about loosing hope!!, hopefully one day it will happen

I got on ok at my appointment, I'm having a HyCosy next cycle, she wants to rule out a a blocked tube and iv been given more clomid and to go back in 6 months time to get the ball rolling for ivf!!

Kellz92 · 29/07/2016 11:05

DizzyN - how are you getting on? i think you were right to take the appointment. But maybe let them know it was earlier than needed? I know she wouldnt, she wasnt trying and still on the pill, but it took years to fall with her DD as she has PCOS, She was worried having 2 under 2 and i think she put too much stress on herself and sadly lost the baby at the weekend the scan showed that the baby was already gone. Glad youre getting on well in the house!!

Boris i hope youre enjoying your holiday

Magpie - im trying to get my DD out of night time nappies again, shes been out them a few times then something happens and she goes back this time was the pox, but im just leaving her until shes ready

Rainy - hope the appt goes well hun, ttc mucked up my cycles!! but glad yours are back to normal

xx

nightandthelight · 28/07/2016 08:14

Really hope the tests find a solution for you Dizzy and your BFP is at hand :) In the meantime I hope you are enjoying your new house and wedding planning and have a great holiday!

DizzyNorthernBird · 28/07/2016 07:57

Thanks boris, the nurse did write down dpo but I'll make a note of it so I can discuss with the doctor.

magpie cd1 is on a Friday, they don't have appointments for this sort of thing on a Saturday, then cd4 is on the Monday but my flight is at 6am! I'll just have to make sure that I can do cd3 the following cycle, although my long cycles mean I'll only have one more opportunity for it before going back for my follow up. Glad you're able to stay cool! The U.K. Just goes crazy in the hot weather doesn't it! Nothing wrong with staying indoors, there's plenty of sunshine to enjoy at cooler times. Spain is going to be hot when I go! August wouldn't have been our first choice but we just had to go when DP's kids were available.

rainy I would be thrilled if I had a 28 days cycle so I know exactly how you feel! We've not been putting in much effort either. Last month we gave it a real go with perfect timing so we were both so disappointed with bfn as always. This month we only did it once 4 days before ov supposedly happened. We were so knackered with moving house but it was partly through to lack of interest. I'm more interested in getting answers from the doctor at the moment, I've pretty much given up on the idea I might actually get a bfp.

Which reminds me. I got babybombed by my sis last week. I knew this was going to happen. Her current situation is so far from ideal. I'm not upset about it, and my nephew will be thrilled, but I'm just disappointed that she seems to fall pregnant so easily and gets to bring a child into the world when do and I have the perfect setting for a baby, big house, financially and emotionally ready, yet we get nothing. It makes no sense.

Rainy34 · 27/07/2016 20:30

Hi Boris and Dizzy we have not been trying for the last couple of months, we are still dtd but not really making an effort to when in my cycle, just felt so disheartened with it all, i am back at the hospital on friday, so will see what they have to say , but on the plus side i had a 28day cycle which is a first in nearly two years, felt so privileged

hope you are all ok, hoping when I'm back from my appointment it will give me the spark i need to get back into focusing on it

MagpieCursedTea · 27/07/2016 18:15

DizzyN I would let them know how many DPO you were, especially if the results aren't as expected. I hope you get the CD3 bloods sorted, how far either side of CD3 will you be away? I'm enjoying the weather being cooler. My living room tends to stay pretty cool so I've been indoors a lot glaring at the sun out of the window. Standard summer for me Grin

Boris I hope you're having a great holiday!

Kellz really sorry about your friend! I'm not bad thanks, I've been trying to potty train my DS today, so that's been stressful and exhausting.

Borisisback · 27/07/2016 15:11

Hello I'm on holiday this week having a lovely time camong.

rainy waves lovely to see you.

dizzyN I'm not sure re bloods - purdey might know - shes on facebook still. they are looking for a rise in progrsterone I think so they would need to know that you were early and it might not have risen as much as they would expect.

Hello to everyone else - sorry not got more time to catch back up.

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/07/2016 15:04

Oh, for those who asked, I'm settling into the new house well. I absolutely love it here! There's a few minor things left to do but the place is otherwise looking great!

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/07/2016 15:03

So I went in today to get cd27 bloods taken. Doctor said cd27 instead of cd21 based on my average cycle length. Except it's actually cd25 today Confused.

Firstly, my chart isn't great this month so I'm not even convinced I've definitely ovulated, but FF has awarded me a solid line. Then secondly, when I booked bloods they couldn't fit me in until next Tuesday which would have been 3 days before Af is due! So I rang today and got a cancellation (and decided to take it rather than risk there not being one tomorrow or Friday).

Does anyone know if this will be ok? I figured 2 days early would be better than 4 days late?

Next problem is that cd3 will fall when I'm in Spain, so problems with getting those bloods done too! Dramas!

How is everyone else?

Nice to see some 'oldies' popping in to say hi!

rainy how's things with you?

kellz you shouldn't feel guilty, I'm sure your friend wouldn't have you feeling like that. What happened with hers?

dizzym how are you?

magpie I hope the cooler rainy weather is suiting you better! Although it's still bloody hot when the sun comes out!
