AF due 20th July / 5DPO - Who Wants to Test With Me??

Hello!

Some of these threads are HUGE and I'm feeling a bit lost, so I'd thought I'd make a new one for anyone who is due their AF Wednesday 20th July (or thereabouts!) and are 4/5 DPO.

Symptoms so far
1-3DPO - Nothing
4DPO - sore boobs and lots of clear CM (sorry!)
5DPO - very sore lower back right in the middle, sore bbs + AF style cramps

A little about me... I've suffered x2 miscarriages over the years, one at 6 weeks and the other at 10 weeks (had a D&C). Horrible experience but hoping for a sticky bean this time! So technically I'm trying for my 1st.

Would love to know a bit about you as well and hope we can test together - and try to keep sane while waiting! Good luck everyone Smile

Hi ladies,
5dpo today for me and the only thing that's been different is I've been a bit emotional. I was watching David Cameron leave 10 downing st on tv and I welled up? What is that all about!!? I'm so tired with work though so it's probably just exhaustion! Love the names Mighty and Swimming
I find girls names so much easier to choose than boys. I teach so I'm always relating names to kids I've taught!
Are the first testers this weekend? My AF would most likely be due next Thursday ish (still not sure of cycles) Think I might try to wait to see if it's actually late. If not here by next Friday will test then. Seems soooo far away! Eeeek excited for all of us. Sooo hope we are a lucky little group and get lots of BFPs Smile

Justkeepswimming99 · 13/07/2016 20:27

Almo, think it was more to do with him thinking if it was BFN I'd be on my own, so with him being so lovely I'll try and hang on!

Mighty, I'll wait till Sat with you unless I get permission from afar, he is back Fri night so he might go for that 😂

Lovely names, I like Florence & Jack

No new symptons, still just boobs and odd stomach feeling, oh and tight jeans but that's just my 'eat whatever I feel like' bad approach at minute, won't be laughing at bikini time 👙👙

Morning ladies! Are we feeling fabulous and positive today Grin Got a few days off thank goodness, was supposed to be doing some decorating and general bits but I can't shake off this sick feeling! It's constant, along with AF style cramps and wicked heartburn Hmm Back was hurting again so much last night, but fine again this morning, I honestly cant keep up and really trying not to Google or overthink it!!

pink thats so exciting!! They're due to arrive on Friday, right?

Almo I know, its dragging, which is why i'm finding these forums so helpful! Aw how exciting for you!! I don't think any of us have any DC so imagine if this month we al got BFP! Really must look into IPW, I have anxiety myself which isn't really helping thoughts on MC! Is the only reason I'm also apprehensive about the whole thing. You can do it!! Can you hold out till Sat?

Swimming haha you have the willpower to do this!! As we all seem to be more able to test Saturday, should we make Sat the first official testing day? It might make me hold out better if we all do it then?!

Quick question for you ladies - I know we need to wait for BFP Grin but do you have baby names in mind?? I've know way before TTC I'd like a little lad called Noah/Freddie, and a girl called Betsy/Penelope. Might change though!

Almostamy · 13/07/2016 07:33

swimming that's very good of you! I'll be separated from dh at AF and a day either side, don't think I'll be able to hold out!

Justkeepswimming99 · 13/07/2016 07:13

DP Is now away until Friday night and has made me promise I'll not test while he's not here, that's this morning, tmw and Friday morning making it Saturday to test!! I'll have to hide the tests!!!Smile

Almostamy · 12/07/2016 22:53

Mighty those dates sound good I might do the same if I can hold back from doing one every day! This is my first. Finding it all v exciting but the days go by so slowly!

IPW guide has basic evidenced-based info on ovulation prediction, timing pregnancy & health stuff. Also discussed anxiety, MC, infertility. Very chatty, funny. Smile

Pinkpetal12 · 12/07/2016 22:52

Ok so I have bought a load of those cheapies off eBay and will test as soon as they arrive! Will let you know how I get on :)

MightyLightningMouse · 12/07/2016 22:10

Hi Almo! Welcome Smile you sound really similar to me, I'm not 100% of my DPO but I think I'm 3-4 at the mo. What symptoms are you having?

Ooh sounds fab, what sort of advice did it have?? I think I'm going to test this Sunday (if I can wait that long) with those extra sensitive ones, and then on Wednesday 20th, if AF hasn't come! Fx for you!! Is it your first or do you have any other children!

Almostamy · 12/07/2016 21:17

Hi all!

AF due on 20th for me too, 4dpo now. First cycle trying after stopping pill two months ago. When are you you all going to test? I have some early tests but not sure how much I trust them!

Waiting for Taking Charge of Your Fertility to arrive. Recently read the Impatient womans Guide to Getting Pregnant (twice!) and loved it.

MightyLightningMouse · 12/07/2016 20:50

pink - I totally understand where you're coming from, pregnancy symptoms can often mimic AF (how mean of mother nature!) Hmm I would deffo buy some tests from eBay - works out so much cheaper than buying them individually, and you can get super sensitive ones. I think eBay do x40 strips for £1.99 or something. At least it wont be a waste of pennies, and you can use them for any future testing as well. Sorry I sound like a POAS saleswoman Grin

Poppy I totally agree! Its like hours turn into days and days turn into weeks! Turned to my partner and said "HOW can it only be Tuesday?!" Next Wednesday might as well be next bloody year! Only crap thing about TTC, if we're out this month, having to go through it all again! But it'll be worth it in the end Smile Let me know if things start changing.

swimming it doesn't sound silly at all! Sometimes I do think how many "periods" were actually chemicals or v early miscarriages (horrid thought I know but can't help it!) But really its probably us overthinking it and it's just standard old AF.

Pinkpetal12 · 12/07/2016 20:31

I also don't have any pregnancy tests but I'm now contemplating buying some off eBay which would get here for Friday, which would be 3 days before AF. Don't know if I should do it to myself

Pinkpetal12 · 12/07/2016 20:29

I usually get period pain/cramps and sore ish boobs before AF is due anyways so I've now learnt to ignore those symptoms, however when I was pregnant previously (in March) I had more period type pains and sore boobs, so either way it's the same symptoms for me so I give up lol

Justkeepswimming99 · 12/07/2016 20:13

Keep the faith girlies! I'd say my boobs were 'heavy' and a feeling in my stomach today but like I say, I had that last 2 months and then AF arrived... I know I can't be sure but I would say I've been fertilised but not implanted previous months, does that sound silly?

Poppydm · 12/07/2016 20:09

Symptoms sound promising Mighty
Fx you're not out Pink cramps and mood swings could be anything yet.
I'm only 4dpo I think and nothing really to report. I find it hard to know what is real and what is in my head. Doesn't time go so slowly in the 2ww?!

Pinkpetal12 · 12/07/2016 20:03

Symptoms today- Mood swings and slight cramping, 5 days til AF is due, already think I'm out for this month :(

MightyLightningMouse · 12/07/2016 18:25

Hahaha swimming nice idea! I've bought some cheapies off eBay yesterday and I've got a Superdrug FRER as well as I've heard they're pretty reliable

How's everyone's symptoms today? Anything to report?? My boobs and back aren't hurting anymore, but I feel constantly sick and exhausted. I'm never one to feel sick, really.

Justkeepswimming99 · 11/07/2016 22:29

Thanks Mighty, I've got a bucket load of Internet cheapies but I'll save my expensive test for the weekend before I partake in a prosecco!

MightyLightningMouse · 11/07/2016 22:25

swimming it's never too late! ♥︎ I really hope you get a little bean. Test whenever you feel the need, just keep us updated and any symptoms as well. After my MCs took a while for things to settle, I'm sure you'll be just fine Smile

Justkeepswimming99 · 11/07/2016 22:20

Mighty yeah pre mmc pretty much 28 day cycles, lots of years on pill but regular when not as well. Since Mmc, a random 23 day and a 27. Using clear blue dual hormone opk, so as log as I am ovulating, I'm not missing it 😉. I don't reckon I'll get past the weekend without testing, I know I should wait in case I get my hopes up and the. It doesn't last. Yep first one, left it a bit late....

MightyLightningMouse · 11/07/2016 22:11

First time (4 yrs ago) it was a complete shock - I'd run out of my pills, literally had 2 days without them and then I was back on them, but I suppose that's all it takes!! So the first time fell pregnant pretty much straight away, and the second time it was planned but took 6 months to conceive!! Just typical lol. I really need to get my head round this charting thing Hmm

feck - yep I will do!! To be honest I think we'll just dtd up until AF. Might buy the book if I'm out this month, I've never had luck with OPKs! Ooooooh if you test please let us know and add pics so we can all have a good squint!! Haha, I get too excited, I love looking for possible lines!

FeckArseIndustries · 11/07/2016 22:08

Poppydm it is really useful. I used to track it to avoid pregnancy for a few years when I couldn't take any hormonal contraception.

FeckArseIndustries · 11/07/2016 22:06

Don't forget to add on 4-5 days from when you were going to test/expect af, to account for ovulation being later (possibly). Don't feel silly, that book is an absolute revelation! I think they should teach it in schools but they probably don't trust girls with that level of knowledge about their own reproduction, in case half of them try it out and get knocked up, haha. Good luck. I'm testing tomorrow at 10dpo because, well why not, I can always test again later!

Poppydm · 11/07/2016 21:56

Hi to Feck and Swimming too! Thanks for the book recommendation. Will def have a look. I've been using OPKs so hoping I caught the right time as I got a strong positive on CD20. I noticed ewcm for around two days prior to the positive OPK then probably a day and a bit after and then it changed to more like the school glue as described in Ovia Confused Sorry for the TMI. It's definitely useful to track so you can see the patterns in your own cycle.

Poppydm · 11/07/2016 21:50

Can't imagine what youve been through. That's great that everything is ok with you and your DH Pink Hopefully the little beans will stick for you both this time. Did it take you both long to fall pregnant before?
I've never had a bfp and have been on the pill for years so just hoping everything is ok with us.

MightyLightningMouse · 11/07/2016 21:47

Hi swimming! of course you can join! So so sorry to hear about the MC - gosh aren't they common!? Doesn't make it easier but at least there's a level of support on forums like these. I think I'm going to test next Tuesday. Normally people get results as early as 10DPO but if you can hold off we can test around the same time? Are your cycles regular? The symptoms can be sooo cruel you think you have every symptom possible then BAM old AF walks through the door. Hmm it all sounds promising, even if we all just jot our symptoms on this thread daily it'll help us keep track if we're not successful this month. Do you have any children swimming or is it your first? Good luck!!
