Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Ps still same old marmite here, just changed my name so I didn't have to have a number at the end anymore. (problem is, making me really crave marmite and cheese toastie...)

marmitecheesetoast · 03/08/2016 12:36

Thanks Inspector. Feeling a bit confused about the whole job thing. Not sure I really want to leave where I am now, but recent restructure and not getting an internal promotion plus situation with manager/lack of development opportunities has left me feeling like I don't have much choice. The thing is, i've been here a few years and therefore entitled to the full (and very generous) maternity package. Would kick myself if I got a new job and 2/3 months later find out I was upduffed... but then, you can't put your life on hold can you, no idea how long this TTC malarky will take... Confused

That's reassuring to know about the light AF not necessarily being an indicator of poor uterine lining too.

I have also been vaguely thinking about preseed/similar. Didn't notice any ewcm this month and understand that preseed mimics ewcm?? Would also be interested to hear anyone's experience!

purpleladybird · 03/08/2016 11:09

Gorgeous bluebird. Smile

Thanks marmite - you're right the monitor is full on and I'm not sure what it does which is better than the sticks to be honest but I feel like I have to try something.

Thinking of buying some fertility friendly lubricant. I know Preseed gets good reviews but I like the individual applicator sachets of Conceive Plus. Has anyone tried either? I've never used it before but thought it might be helpful for quicky-DTDs. Blush

Pugmummy87 · 03/08/2016 10:42

I'm still here, just on and off. Currently CD 43, doesn't look like I've ovulated this month. Had pms symptoms for about a week now and also have been feeling exhausted. Like falling asleep on the sofa at 7.30pm exhausted.

Wishing AF would make her appearance known so I can get on to cycle 10. Cycle bloody 10.

InspectorPenguin · 03/08/2016 10:19

Hello all, sorry to see no BFP news yet from the group. Looks like the fertility rain dance only succeeded in bringing rain Angry

Jem, sorry you're feeling down. It is perfectly acceptable, and very understandable, but I hope it passes soon Flowers

Bluebird congrats on the new addition! S/he must be keeping you very busy and entertained :)

Alice, my periods have been very light since coming off the pill too. Also only about 2 days long. They've got a bit heavier in the last couple of months but still nothing like pre-pill days. I'm sure I have read online that it isn't an indicator of poor uterine lining so try not to worry too much. Easier said than done, though, I know. I hope the doctor's appointment goes well and you get reassurance or action. Do keep us updated with what they say.

Kat I am envious of your gym success! Mine has dropped right off these last few months for various reasons. I am doing more running but the strength work has really suffered and I can see and feel it all over :(
I must do better dragging myself to the gym. I always feel so much better for it.

Good luck with the job applications Marmite. Fingers crossed that this is your month and you're not just coming down with a bug!

As expected, I have entered cycle 6. Down to a 31 day cycle at least which is good news. And now I can get a doctors' appointment sorted for September as a result of my advanced years. DP is looking forward to jizzing in a cup! Grin

marmitetoast1 · 03/08/2016 08:18

bluebird he/she? is gorgeous!
Hope you're ok jem and feeling better today
Alice that's what my AF has been like since coming off the pill in March too. It's frustrating isn't it? Never thought I'd be wishing for heavier periods!
purple the monitor sounds full on, hope you've got to grips with it now and finding it helpful?

CD 31 11?dpo here.
Feeling exhausted and my tummy has been a bit off last few days. Probably just because work is crazy and then I've been doing job applications in the evening (gaah) so a bit stressed about all that.
Also felt a bit lightheaded/hot/sick when I got up this morning (probably just got out of bed too quickly).

Ho hum.
Anyone else nearing end of 2ww wait with me? Hope all holding on in there Smile

LovelyFishy · 02/08/2016 20:51

Bluebird he's beautiful!! Grin

Good to see you again Kat.

Sorry you've been feeling down Jem, it's very tough as time gets on isn't it?

Had my scan today, I have to wait 2 weeks for the results!! Luckily it was an external scan rather than internal!

AliceScarlett · 02/08/2016 20:13

What a beaut!

Mooseville · 02/08/2016 19:55

Oh bluebird Gorgeous!!!

bluebird3 · 02/08/2016 19:26

Hi everyone. I've even absent for awhile. We are on our 2nd month of no longer trying as trying to avoid missiv dsis wedding in May (in the states). I have to say...after 18 cycles Ttc it's been really nice to have the pressure off and not think of it. Plus it's go of us time to see where we stand...dh has SA on Friday so bit nervous for that.

However, I am pleased to announce I am the new mummy of a gorgeous fur baby!

Jem it's OK (but not nice obviously) to feel sad about it. 8/9 months is a long time to be on a scary and hormonal rollercoaster.
I'm sick of it. Everything is always such a battle, I was hoping this one thing I really want would actually happen. But of course not. I'm super bitter.
2 day light AF, barely needed a tampon, how can I get pregnant when there is no lining? Dr's next Tuesday following my scan. I want estrogen and clomid!

Mooseville · 02/08/2016 17:31

On the folic acid here! I think I've tried every variety of pregnancy Vitamin just to see if there's any difference! Ha ha
kat you sound super fit! Enjoy your holiday! I've really let my diet and fitness slip and a stone has just crept on! I feel like I'm bursting out my jeans! So this week I am trying to be back on a healthy regime!
Sorry you're having a tough time jem tHIS TTC business is awful for our sanity. I'm lucky atm as I've so much going on with training at work and having our flat on the market that I'm just about managing to put TTC out of my mind, for a few minutes a day anyway!

miwelaisjacydo · 02/08/2016 16:01

I know you all prob are but just want to remind everyone to take folic acid. just when I got my prescription from Drs he said that so many woman only start to take folic acid once pregnant but it should be taken before really.

Have a close family member with spina bifida something we as a family knew nothing about before he was born.

miwelaisjacydo · 02/08/2016 15:45

london have mild cramp on the side that's ovulating have done since I was about 15. Plus boobs change colour. Oh no summer colds are never fun. I work in a school so have summer off. ( am not a teacher) I am trying my upmost not to worry about things and not get stressed because it doesn't help. It's horrible though isn't it because it's like rolling a dice every month.

purple that sounds intense

purpleladybird · 02/08/2016 13:16

Started my Clear Blue Advanced Monitor today. Instructions are a full-on book. Anyway you have to use FMU and for the first time in years I woke up at 3am needing a wee. I was scrabbling around in the dark trying to work out if I should use 3am wee or 7am wee. So I weed in a cup and left it to decide the next morning. Decided to use 7am wee for anyone who has got this far.

Realised I could do with losing some weight. All clothes tight and I look fatter than ever. The ridiculous part of me thinks that if I get pregnant then my body will be fucked anyway so why bother trying to lose it now.

kavanaughkj · 02/08/2016 12:11

Awww Jem, sending you hugs. Try not to let the cold and work get you down - I know it's hard when it's this grotty and grey. I think we're cycle twins though - my ov was delayed this month too. I normally ovulate around day 12 of my cycle - day 15 this time for some reason. So today is DPO1 and I'm again trying to chill, which is easier for the moment as time has passed and I'm not temping still. Had a good acupuncture session Sunday which was perfectly timed to ovulation so I'm hoping that will help!

Heya Kat! wow you sound fit. I have bingo wings not biceps and couldn't dream of doing a single pull-up. I've been getting back to swimming in the mornings lately though (after shocking myself by my lack of fitness). Normally I do Body Combat and Body Balance but have skipped a lot of classes lately and need to get back to them.

Still waiting here for DH's hospital appointment. Ho hum.

LondonJem · 02/08/2016 10:50

Miw I'm at the same bit. How do you think you know you've ovulated? I think mine is delayed. I've been run down with a cold and stressed - stressed out with work and ttc. It's really getting me down, I couldn't stop crying last night Sad

Have a lovely holiday Kat. Good work on your gym progress! I can't get near a chin up.

miwelaisjacydo · 02/08/2016 10:37

Kat - hope you have a good holiday. Hope your passport turns up quickly.

Just about to start tww I think. Not doing any ovulation tests just going off when I think am ovulating. This part for me is the most stressful but am more chilled than I have been about it.

KatOnATinRo0f · 02/08/2016 09:49

Nope no puppy, no baby either.
Been going to the gym 6x a week for the past few months tho and now I have biceps and can do 3 chin-ups so all good! No abs tho :(
Going on holiday tomorrow too but I can't find my passport (it's somewhere.... It's always somewhere...)

Mooseville · 01/08/2016 19:09

Hello Kat!!

No BFP's for a while. We're all just plodding on, pissing on sticks and trying to shag more!!
Hope you're keeping well?!

LondonJem · 01/08/2016 18:07

Hello Kat how are you?? No bfp news from me I'm afraid. Still battling the ttc hunger games Envy How are you finding things, did you ever get that puppy?

KatOnATinRo0f · 01/08/2016 17:29

Hello old friends!!!!

Anyone upduffed yet???

Xxxxx

marmitetoast1 · 01/08/2016 12:57

Maybe you need to step away from pissy sticks Jem and just know you will be OVing anytime now and try to just enjoy dtd?! A lot easier said than done though, I know!

Si1ver · 01/08/2016 11:50

I'm sorry things are so bad at the moment Kestrel I hope things improve.

I was all 'going to be totally chilled this cycle and just have sex every other day, but NO PRESSURE I'M BREEZY'. Suffice to say, I'm not fucking chilled or breezy and DTD has become less laid back and more timetabled.

LondonJem · 01/08/2016 08:22

I think chilled has gone out the window Sad I POAS 6 times yesterday Confused just couldn't understand why still not seeing a positive OPK on day 16. At 9pm it was pretty dark but still not fully. Will try again today.

Not sure how I've ended up so stressed again. I think ovulating might make me a bit crazy? Confused

Marmite I struggle with a 29 day cycle, God knows what I'd be like with longer to wait. Sounds like it's not too much longer for you now. Fx.
