Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

kwick · 13/08/2016 10:29

Oops fell off thread again!

marmite I would do what jem suggested. There is still plenty of time to get a dress once you are ready to tell. I would not suggest lying - it us a bit hard to hide a baby!

Right on to next page...

kavanaughkj · 13/08/2016 02:21

Omg Hep, that's amazing! I can't believe it didn't show until now! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Grin Flowers Cake what fantastic news :-D must be something to this rain dance after all!

InspectorPenguin · 13/08/2016 00:23

Amazing news! Congratulations Hep! What a brilliant story, we'll all be desperate to know what they say at your appointment!

Maybe that dream I had about seeing 'Pregnant - 12 weeks' on a Clear Blue digital test was a premonition about this! Shock

liveforthefight · 12/08/2016 23:06

That is such great news hep, and would be lovely if you were so far along!
alexia really sorry to hear about your mc, they are so horrible to go through and do really knock you for six. Hope you're taking it easy.

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 21:11

I have appointment at local maternity outpatients clinic on 20th Aug. Earliest appointment available. I'll keep you posted! Not sure I'll have scan on this 1st appointment.... Think they will do the best to "catch me up" though.

Apparently you are meant to have the first appt at 8-9weeks, and then the 12 week scan.

AlexiaB · 12/08/2016 20:43

Thanks everyoneFlowers

I can't wait to hear how far along you are either Hep!!! Could you go to the epu tomorrow or something?

LondonJem · 12/08/2016 20:36

Sorry to hear that alexia , hope you are alright, look after yourself.

Hep I'm looking forward to hearing how far along you are. That's nuts!

marmitecheesetoast · 12/08/2016 19:52

Alexia so sorry to hear that Flowers hope you are getting good support in real life. Hugs.

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 19:38

So sorry Alexia

And thanks everyone!

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 19:36

Early on I had burping and heartburn. That's about it. Zero boob change I noticed.
In the last 4 weeks (after the blood test), constipation, bloating, and in the last week really tender boobs!

The bloating really meant my stomach was going in and out so much it almost felt bruised.

This week, backache and it is very uncomfortable to bend forward.

Perhaps I should have tested earlier, but my blood test was only 4weeks ago. 99.99% accurate...

AlexiaB · 12/08/2016 19:29

I had to pop back in to say OMGGG HEP!!!!!!!!! ShockShockShock I'm in shock but so so happy for you! This is amazing! You need a scan immediatelyGrin

Ps. sorry I left for a bit but I sadly had a mc so I took some time away to deal with it. I was still stalking on and off.
Congrats to the new BFPs marmite and live and I'm so very sorry Skip.

LondonJem · 12/08/2016 19:26

Omg!!! Another bfp??!!! This is amazing!! Congratulations hep that's bloody fabulous! Have you not had any symptoms then?!

Woohoooooooo another one StarStarStar

Si1ver · 12/08/2016 19:04

OMG hep that's so a line. How wonderful and weird. I'm so pleased for you.

Try not to worry about the things you've eaten and drunk. You've boot had food poisoning everything will be just fine.

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 18:54

last AF was 19th May, but it was shorter/lighter than normal..... say 75% of normal AF?

I already can't wear my belts on their normal holes (you put weight on in the middle for menopause ..... another helpful overlap of symptoms....)

so really want a scan to know for sure !

have first appt booked for next week.

marmitecheesetoast · 12/08/2016 18:50

Oops cross posted. Don't worry, a few glasses of wine won't have caused any problems, it's not like you've been necking a bottle every night. Get yourself to the GP and see what they've got to say!!

marmitecheesetoast · 12/08/2016 18:48

Oh my goodness hep/zen!!!!!! Grin massive congratulations that's fantastic!!! How far along are you then do you think?! When was your last AF?! Super congrats

Here comes the rain dance shower of bfps!!

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 18:46

Thanks !

after the negative blood test in July, i honestly thought my digestive issues could be done to menopause (seriously - there is a huge f**king overlap in symptoms) .... but a rapid change in bra size ....

so i must be at least 12 weeks?

(my timing so was so poor (missed ISW entirely).... and last AF so short ... that i even think i might be 16 weeks Confused).

now i get to panic about the wine i drunk after the blood test, and the seafood and everything else i shouldn't have eaten/done..... Blush

Mooseville · 12/08/2016 18:28

Oh my goodness!!!! ANOTHER BFP!!

And a good strong line at that!!!!!!!

Smile Congratulations!!!!
liveforthefight · 12/08/2016 18:22

That's a line!!!!Grin xx

TryingToBeZenKestrel · 12/08/2016 18:17

So.... My bra was starting to hurt me so....

DH still waiting on hearing about HIS job, not mine. It's not ALL about me, I promise ... Blush

kavanaughkj · 12/08/2016 12:32

Welcome back Hep! I don't post a ton but I do always find myself coming back here. I don't think I'd be able to up and leave altogether. The support the wonderful ladies on this thread give is invaluable ... it really does make a difference to me to feel I'm not going through this alone. While DH is very supportive he wouldn't ever be able to fully identify with the frustration you feel with your own body and the stress we put ourselves through trying to make that magic happen. I'm really glad, whatever happens, that I found you all. :)

Skip, you made me laugh talking about Japanese alcoholics! I'm sure you and Peaches are right - Mum ate plenty of things you're apparently not supposed to and I think I turned out more or less OK Grin

I thought of you marmite when I was posting my job issue, only you're a step further down the road than I am. I think you're right, you should still keep an open mind. Ultimately what I've been thinking is about which job I would be happy going back to after giving birth; while I'd like to say I could try being a SAHM I'm not sure finances or my sanity would allow for it. Even if I end up only taking statutory maternity leave, the choice between going back to the job I do now (boring but I love the people) or going back to this new job ... well, that makes the choice easier. And yes, like you mention - the pay rise would probably help out a bit there too.

DH still waiting on hearing about my job. Trying not to go nuts over it.

Jem, I think I'd have lied and said I'd been trying for a year already so you shouldn't feel bad about telling them it was cycle 9 ;) - I forget sometimes which cycle I'm on after being stuck on this merry-go-round for so long. As it is, because I'm older I was OK to go to the GP after 6 months anyway but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have hesitated to exaggerate slightly if that's what it took!!
