TTC while Breastfeeding (or recently weaned!!) regular cycles and baby dust this way!

All I can say is it worked for me and I tempted fate buying 2 sodding packs of CBFM sticks, a bumper set of IC OPKs and HPTs, a batch of FRERs/CBDs and 4 months worth of pre natal vits...

Yes I take temp at much the same time each day and wait until it beeps. Sleep is a bit erratic though as I'm up and down a bit to Lo. I just hope that the crazy temp doesn't mean that I'm not actually ovulating :-( the opks have been giving me flashing and solid smileys though... Oh confusion. Maybe I need to do like you lullaby and go on holiday and forget about tracking!!

Also silly question but do you wait until the thermometer beeps to record? And as soon as you're awake?

Thanks everyone, still in shock really. This cycle seemed unlikely - DS feeding more than usual including at night, no tracking or temping, long-haul travel and horrible jet lag. Same thing happened with DS so clearly laidback non-scheduled holiday shagging is the only way I can manage it!
Hope the first few weeks fly by so I can take my mind off the worrying.

user I agree the temps look a bit too jaggedy to give a definitive answer. Have you been taking them at roughly the same time after enough sleep etc? If you ov'd yesterday then you would expect a reasonable rise today and the crosshairs would appear after 3 days of high temps I think.

I wonder would anybody who temps care to offer an opinion on my chart this month. I know it's not over yet but it looks quite erratic to me but it's my first month temping so pretty new to it. I felt like inoculated yesterday - had pain on one side and a general sense that something was going on iykwim! Any views or advice appreciated.

That extract is interesting lullaby. Would you recommend the book generally? I'm definitely impatient! My number of high days is varying quite a bit (though this is only my third month using opks) so that makes it more difficult to plan dtd on the last day of high but it's worked out that way this month so fingers crossed. I feel like I might have ovulated this morning (had that sensation in my abdomen) but maybe I'm just working up to it. I started temping this month but it's very erratic so far. I'm still up from time to time at night so that's probably to be expected. Will wait and see what it looks like after a full cycle.

user I have mentioned up thread or maybe on a previous thread that I have read a book called The Impatient Woman's Guide to Getting Pregnant and the author says last day of high & first peak day are your best bet if you believe her!

I finally got a solid smiley on cd 21 after 8 days of flashing smilies. Have dtd from cd 14 every second day up to including last night. As I got the solid this morning I'm wondering whether we should dtd again tonight or wait until tomorrow evening? I don't really want to do both tonight and tomorrow as that will be three days in a row which I find a bit much mid week Any advice?

pumkin glad you are ovulating after all! I don't think cd17 is too late or unusual fingers crossed for a decent LP for you.

I started feeling queasy on Sunday night and thought I'd start doing some symptom spotting but turned out I'd caught the same tummy bug (or food poisoning) as DH so been pretty much laid up yesterday!

Decided to do an IC this morning (est. 11 DPO) just in case and thought I saw a hint of a shadow line but maybe just an evap, will try again tomorrow to work out if I'm seeing things!

Aries you sound just like me. I was getting the ewcm and the cramps but fully stopping seemed to be what was needed for me.

I had ewcm on cd16 and dtd so guess I'm now on the 2ww. But because of pcos I've never ever had a regular cycle so very interested to see what happens... As I've heated pregnancy can sort t out. Fingers crossed! And good luck to everyone out there who is either on the 2ww or waiting for ovulation

Just catching up. AF arrived at 9dpo so I'm on to cycle 3 - currently on CD8 so just waiting for things to get interesting again in a week or so.

I think having got pregnant so quickly last time I expected the same to happen again this time around, so both cycles I've built my hopes up. Trying to be more reasoned this month! In many ways, it's not a terrible thing if it takes a little while this time - work wise, especially - but I'm generally a bit of a control freak and like to be efficient so I find the whole process v frustrating!

I would be fine waiting 6/9/12 months if I knew that's when it would happen, it's the not knowing that drives me crazy!

Does anyone use any particular apps to keep track of cycles? I'd like to use one but no idea which ones are any good!

Hello all I'm joining this thread as I'm having my implant taken out next week to ttc baby number 2! My 12 month old is still breastfeeding regularly and several times during the night! DH seems to think I'll get pregnant really quickly again but I'm not so sure. Just going to see how things go for now!
