Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

yeah i am using fertility friend - its free so thought id use that to get the hang of temping then upgrade to ovusoft when i know what im doing.

is there a problem with fertility friend? everyone seems to use ovusoft.

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 15:17

ready - i have hadmy thermometer for months it has a habit of appearing for the first few days of a/f with the best of intentions and then i keep forgetting to take temp b4 i get up to get a drink or wee or somthing stupid so well before ov it ends up back in my draw!
i got it off ebay anyway £12 i think

rahrah - i am charting and also going to be using ferning to double check my temps are showing ov aswell. are you using the ovatel saliva microscope?
i used it the month before last and found it very clear to understand.

i dont get on well with ov sticks as i seem to ovulate for about 5 days in a cycle..considering mine is only 24/25 days long that doesnt seem accurate!

i can understand people trying to choose the sex of there babies if they have 3 boys or 3 girls for example and want the opposite. i really dont think it makes any difference what you do anyway to be honest. id just be happy with one

Ready · 05/02/2007 14:47

Rahrah, saw you mention in the hut about getting annoyed at the threads for choosing the sex of the baby. There was one where I got accused of being horrid because I entered into the spirit with a few wives tales, but let it be known that I didn't think it was a good idea. I got well and truly told off. I am so glad I am not the only one that gets at those sorts of threads!!!

Greedy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hurry up and empty your bladder, woman!!!

greedyforbabies · 05/02/2007 14:31

OMG! i have soooooooooooo much to say to you all! but i have to dash cos my bladder is full to bursting and i hav to get to my scan quick before i piss myself!

i will be back!

rahrah1 · 05/02/2007 14:22

Hi ready... so cross posted... I will relax promise.. XX

rahrah1 · 05/02/2007 14:21

Tried using the O sticks last month, but didn't work, as gave up before I ovulated, so trying again this month to see if they work me. Otherwise I think I will try ferning..
Hopefully it is a dip prior to ovulation, but don't really have much CM... so thats not a good sign if I do ovulate, as will not have a very good fertile place for the sperm..
Really looking forward to going to Wales now... it will be nice to get away with DH.. I've done no work today at all.. I'm still in my dressing gown and playing interactive war games... Love it! Gets some of my aggression out and love being chatted up by 16 year olds... until I tell them I'm 31 and Married...lol...love having a bit of fun with the younger generation.

ARGH, I typed a MASSIVE post and then MN crashed. Oh how annoying. So I shall start again, but it won't be as witty as before

How is everyone today?? I am feeling great actually, apart from the period pains. Can't wait to get on with some serious action this month... I don't want to let Greedy down now do I

RahRah, you can certainly hold me it!! Just promise me that you will relax and enjoy your holiday (in the pool, out of the pool, in the house )... plenty of action! I experienced a pre-ov dip last cycle, so I think it is entirely normal.

Fettle, Sorry to hear about your spotting over the weekend, I agree that you should put your foot down and get a scan asap... it will help you relax!

Mum03, Fingers crossed for you, hope your 'effort' was well timed. Are we still on for me to help you resist early testing??

Honeyapple, Glad you shagged just before OV. Fingers crossed for you! It's good that you noticed ewcm, were you drinking grapefruit juice or anything?? Or is it just a super fertile month??

BBWBabeLisa, That is one heck of a skill knowing you've ov'd without the thermometer. I am odd, cos I feel so hot when my period is here, but my temp is actually lower than after ov. So I would be hopeless without my thermometer.

Lottie, I reckon that the job in Spain will do you the world of good, I am just hoping that you have your BFP before you go!! You really deserve it after all that you have been through!!

Minxi, That's what I like to see, positive mental attitude!! We will do it!! I hadn't noticed we were cycle buds, until Fettle pointed it out (how rude of me!) How you feeling?

Greedy, Hope your scan went well. Eagerly waiting your news.

MrsMcJnr, Are you seeing your GP today? How are you feeling? Has the morning sickness started yet?

Iwillbepgbedec07, Welcome to our thread, where did you get your thermometer from in the end?? Are you using fertility friend?

Right... if this crashes before I post, i will scream.

Quick question - re agnus castus ....what how when do you take it...should I start taking it now, until ovulation ?

mum03 · 05/02/2007 10:55

Rah - Fettle's right of course it could be a fantastic o-dip! When do you head to Wales?

willibepg - I was useless at adding my chart to the chart thread, Ready came to my rescue, perhaps she can give you the secret of how it is done!

Fettle - glad to hear that the pg tests are still encouraging, rotten about the needing a referral to the epu.

Minxi - glad you are feeling happier today

Morning girls, have had manic weekend with my DS turning 6 had in-laws down and party for him and also looking after my 13month old nephew for 3 days now so v busy!!!!

Felt a bit rubbish Friday night but more positive now!!

Ready - we will do it this month!!

Fettle - it not the samne but with my DS2 I had no bleeding but had pain (partly from a cough) but I was sent to EPU at about 5 weeks as they were concerned about ectopic, I live in Surrey so maybe they do things differently round here..just put your foot down and tell theM your too worried!!

London - hope all well with you...positive thoughts this month

Greedy - hope everything goes well, I'm sure its all fine...

Mum03/rahrah/honey - hope you did enough during oviulation, fingers x'd

Mrs Mc - thank you for your kind words...I've done it twice before, so it will happen again I'm sure - never ever recommend depo to anyone though!!! At this rate will have over a 4 year gap even if it happens soon - yikes, life is getting soooo easy adn then I'm going to put a spanner in the works again - oh well!! At least I can book my summer holidays now without worrying that I may have to come back half way through August checking flights now!

Have fun today all....

fettle · 05/02/2007 10:34

Knew I?d cross posts with someone or other!!!

Rah ? you can get a ovulatory dip. I?ve had a couple of those, when my temp shot down to really low temps, to return to normal next day and than have rise the next following days. I?ve never used ov-predictor sticks, but I?ve heard they?re not always very accurate ? however if you?ve used them lots you?ll know more about them. It could also be just because it was so cold this morning ? well it was with me!

Just in case though? make sure you have some action today!!

Take care

Morning!

No more spotting ? phoned EPU, but need a referral from GP, so got an appointment first thing tomorrow. Did another test this am, just to make sure and it positive immediately, so feeling more positive than yesterday ? sorry for being moany moo yesterday!

Honeyapple ? CD13 sounds good enough, I would think. Hope you had a good weekend anyway.

BBW ? how frustrating about the freezer, but good you found a better alternative. Interesting what you say about actually feeling hot ? I love at the moment when I wake up sweating as it makes me feel more confident my temp is up!!

Mum03 ? that?s a better rise isn?t it? Hope you keep getting hotter ? need it with this weather!!![brr!]

Minxi/Ready you look like you are going to be cycle buddies, how you both doing? I also find these early cycle days the worst, but then I never knew when I was going to ov, so it could have been weeks for my next chance.

Rah, how you feeling this morning ? looking forward to your holiday? Hope the weather warms up (not so you can use the pool, but just in general!)

Lottie ? how you? How?s your Mum situation (have I remembered right? Hope I?ve not got you mixed up with someone else). Have you made a decision about the Spain job yet, can?t remember that either ? my brain is always mush, but more so than normal on Monday mornings!!

Greedy/MrsMc ? hope your appointments go well today!

Take care all
X

sorry if I?ve crossed any posts ? been writing this for about an hour off-line!!

rah- sorry that you have not yet o'd, sometimes I wonder if the pre-o time is as bad as the 2ww! But as you said before you did not o til cd20 last month, so perhaps it will be a little later this time too. You said you had a 28-30 day cycle before your little Bertie came along, but it can change things. I was 26 day cycle before my first pg, then went to 31 day cycles, and since 2nd pg it has gone back to 27 day average. So I know that within the next 5 days, you will see that temperature of yours rocket sky high and we are thinking positive for you this month right. Also were you not getting your thyroid function checked? - have you got the results yet?

(Sorry to the PG ones, I didn't paste you on...do you mind?)

I've had a massive drop in temp, what does that mean? Have not seen lots of CM and my Ovulation sticks are still negative... I've gone from 36.3 to 35.9... I even took my temp three times.. I'm CD15 now...

honeyapple · 05/02/2007 09:51

Ready-
I agree about this thread...it is a good one. I feel like I know you all quite well now. I just had a look at the feb thread... and it's got so many new people on it I cant even begin to go through it all... maybe that's me being a bit grumpy... but bugger it, I like you lot! I dont need to go anywhere else!

Morning.
Been away this weekend with SIL, BIL, FIL and GGM (Great grandma).
Definitely Oved sometime this weekend CD15?- cramps and lots of EWCM. Which is great because last month i didnt notice much at all. Couldnt get DP to perform though cos he was up boozing and playing cards...and then subsequently too knackered... but he did make up last night, although perhaps that was a bit late?
Not much temp rise...just up 1 degree this morning. Hopefully it will go up some more...
lots of love to all
xx

Fettle, hope the epu helps you today too.

BBWBabeLisa · 04/02/2007 22:51

Fettle, sorry to hear about the bleeding! Hope the EPU can put your mind at rest.
No the feckin chest freezer didn't arrive. Phoned Dixons lunchtime to be told the delivery had been cancelled and they've no idea why. Couldn't deliver for another week. Already been waiting 3. I got in a strop and cancelled the order, went for a browse at local retail park today and found an upright I preferred and have ordered it from somewhere chearper online (bet u all really wanted to know all that didn't you?!).

Greedy - I was only 5 and a bit weeks when we saw a heartbeat, so hoping all goes well for you.

MUM03 - I generally get my period on the 10th DPO, so I guess that makes a 9 day LP, been taking vit b6 when I remember to try to increase it. How long is yours?

Temping as religiously as I have this month (haven't been great at remembering in previous cycles) I'm really noticing how much hotter I feel when I first wake up. Since my temp spike on Thursday I have woken up sweating like a hog, never usually feel like that, and only sleep with a very lightweight quilted throw on the bed. I reckon a few months of this and I could tell without bothering to temp when I've ov'd!

fettle · 04/02/2007 22:36

Good news, you've ov-d Mum03. Something I only found out recently, is that some people do have a temp dip 1-2 days after ov. Due to a sudden release in one of the hormones, can't remember which. I read it in the infamous TCOYF book, we all go by!!! It is also quite normal to have small step increases in temp, so might not see a big leap, as long as it goes up and then stays above your coverline.

sleep well everyone.

OP posts:
mum03 · 04/02/2007 21:45

Hi all

Had an ok weekend, finally got a bit higher temp and fertility friend has put me at 3dpo, which is more or less what I thought.

Fettle - hope you get a scan or at least bloods done this week to put you mind at rest, it is obviously worrying you at the moment. Thanks for the reassurance re-ing. I knew I had all the right signs of o-pain and ewcm, but nothing with temp until 2 days ago and then down again, but now it is looking just like last months temps and showing a slow rise in the temp. Hope tomorrow my temp will be a little higher or at least the same as today. I can now understand why people temp to another decimal point too!!!

Greedy - hope the scan goes well tomorrow, it is difficult to know how much you will get to see, at my 4.5 week scan with my ds, I saw a heartbeat, yet with my dd I did not get a heartbeat at 6 weeks and had to wait to 7.5 weeks before seeing the little blip on the screen. It all depends on the equipment and skill of the sonographer as well as the stage of pg. I hope that all is well and at the very least that you see the little sac snuggled in the right place.

rah - make use of the swimming pool to exercise and find somewhere more comfortable for the procreation is my advice!

BBW - I am only a day behind you in dpo, how long is your lut. phase?

wow, I am verbouse tonight, so I will bid goodnight all and go get some sleep.
