Morning - definitely in too good a mood this morning for the hut - not sure why the good mood, but not going to question it while it lasts!!

Anyway, 37.83 this morning, so up a little from yesterday. 11 DPO (well 11 days high temps - when do you count ov from, the day before temp rise or the day of temp rise?)

speak later

Fettle - tbc 18 DPO
Greedy - tbc 14 DPO (is she still a hot mama today?!)
Honeyapple - tbc CD6 (6th cycle ttc)
LondonLottie - tbc 8 DPO
Mum03 - 36.4 CD5 (2nd cycle ttc)
Rah - tbc CD4
Ready - tbc CD20/5 DPO (5th cycle ttc)

I sit here anxious for news from both fettle and greedy.... decided this morning that since I am in the boring 'wait to o' time, that I might use up all nervous energy on you two!

Dh has been talking baby names already!!!! He is clueless about my cycle, so will have no idea when it is time to dtd or when I will hopefully present him with a positive result. I am thinking positive right now - hey what else is there to do in the pre-o time!

Hope you all have positivity today too!

greedyforbabies · 24/01/2007 22:53

if i ov'd 36 hrs before though would it not have shown up when i took my temp the morning before? i am kind of hoping i made a mistake with my temps, but i am always VERY careful, so i suppose i know i didn't. its just sooooooooooooooooooo frustrating when each cycle is so long and i dont get many chances for hope!

fettle · 24/01/2007 22:10

It's what Toni Weschler says in her book and in my Boots fertility booklet that comes with my thermometer, that all your temp rise shows is that you have ovulated in the previous 24-36 hours.

Sorry, shouldn't have risen your hopes, that was really mean of me - please forgive me. I'm going to feel awful now.

I think I'll go now and hide under my blanket, cos I'm scared.

Take care and keep hot!!!

fettley fettly fettly!!!!! you should never had said that ( what you said on my alcoholics thread about ovulating 36hrs earlier than temp rise!!!!) NOW my hopes have risen again!!!!!! ( i did do a pg test yest though and bfn, so i guess i know that i am not really) and my lp was 14 days last month too, AND i have been snapping at my kids today ( normally take it out on dh, but as he's not here i had to be mean to my kids!.........ds still loves me up to the moon and back a million times though! ( apparently!))
is it true you can really ovulated 36 hours before your temp rise?

fettle · 24/01/2007 20:58

Now, I've just posted your alcoholics thread!!! Going to watch that 5 Days drama on BBC1 now - not sure you should if you are on your own!!

take care

Thank you so much for your support - I'm so pleased that we've had a change to "meet" eachother!

fettle!....i have just read this after i posted on my alcoholics thread! YES my heating was on this morning and that did cross my mind as to why my temp was high! i might switch it off tonight and let my children freeze, just so i can compare my temp in the morning!
i am off to hunt out lissielous news, i am guessing her bfp didnt stick. doesnt mean it will happen to you though does it? why should it? keep positive

fettle · 24/01/2007 20:16

Having just read Lissielou's sad news, I think I'll stick with fettle for a few days more. If I make it to Saturday, I think I'll be further than I was last cycle.

I've made a doctors appointment for Monday morning, hopefully for good news.

DH is just serving up, so have to go, hopefully be back later for a proper catch up.

greedy - how's the spotting? That is really a hot temp!

Is there any hope for the rambo sperm, or was your heating up too much this morning?

did you have snow?

The 'Hut' is a place that we vent all our anger and un-positive thoughts without upsetting anyone. We also drink, smoke and take drugs
Words like baby dust and baby glue are band from the hut, as things have got pretty bad for the desperate souls that join...me being one of them!

BBWBabeLisa · 24/01/2007 16:03

OK I gotta ask, WTF is the HUT???

rahrah1 · 24/01/2007 15:20

Sorry guys, the age thing was my fault.. Thought I would be about the oldest. To be quite honest we are all around the same age. There is only 4 years between us LondonLottie..Really is not a lot... But you are welcome to slap me a few times!

LondonLottie - I agree as I am nearly 39 I don't want to think about age being a factor, but be reassured there are plenty of people getting pg older. I had my first two pregnancies when I was 35 and 36 respectively. It can and does happen later with no problems for some people, we need some positive thinking here (it was interesting to see how young, some of you are though!).

Don't know why thermometers have 2 decimal places, but I have a new monitor from Boots, that tracks my temps for me, so it records to 2 decimal places, and so do I. It then has a button you can press which will only log 1.5deg changes, which means you can see really clearly when your temp shift was and if you have a triphasic pattern!! Very exciting!!

I'm doing ok, may have had some very light spotting this morning, but may just been some slightly coloured CM . Everyone at work is going to assume I'm pg as I keep going to the loo, but mainly it is to check up!! Wish I could just relax - I feel different this time around, but I won't be relaxed until I reach the weekend with no red bleeding, as that is the stage the mc started last cycle. Oh poo, poo poo, I know this isn't the hut, but I don't feel eligible for there now I'm pg, but why is getting and staying pg so hard!! Some people find it so easy and straightforward, but not us, its so unfair.

sorry girls, feel better for getting it off my chest!

Hope you have good days.
