hello! have been ttc no.3 since last april now. ds took about 3 or 4 cycles to concieve and dd 1 cycle, so i am finding this hard to get my head round!

the main reason for starting this thread, if anyone is interested, is that sometimes i feel really bad chatting on the other threads about age gap concerns, how i will cope with another one etc....when lots of other 'posters' are ttc no.1.

it makes me feel a bit guilty going on about no.3 when some other MNers have such tragic stories.

anyway, i know there are a few of you out there also ttc no.3. Do you all have big houses and cars?

Another venture back to cd 1 today for me. I concieved on cycle 4 with the last two pg's, thought it would happen again - obviously not as I am now onto cycle 5, age is obviously starting to have an effect for me....

Hope everyone else is doing ok - any no3 babies on the way yet????

scorpio1 · 03/04/2007 09:45

Still trying for No3 but not sure how long to go on trying. Need fertility treatment but can't afford it. Any miracle stories please!

yum03creameggs · 01/04/2007 16:21

Hi McCadbury's. I have a ds age3 and a dd age 2, and decided at the end of last year we would see if no3 would happen. Not so far, but we are working on it .

Bonkerz - any news from you? have you got an answer to the missing af yet?

Karma - are you managing to chill? how is it going?

goingfor3 - we have another interesting week this week, we will have to try again for being pg buddies this week, lets hope we both make it.

Seaside, fruitful, loubers, fresco, loopymumsy, jersey, and everyone else - what is your latest, will you update us on how you all are and if no/3 is happening already for any of you?

McCadburysDreamyegg · 01/04/2007 16:10

Hi I would love to join your group! DH has just come back from Afghanistan and I'm due to have my coil out in a few days - then it's folic acid and off we go

I already have DD aged 4 and DS aged 20 months

bonkerz · 26/03/2007 22:36

Hi all, Joined this thread in Jan determined to concieve ASAP, well two months on and i havent seen my period since Jan 19th! Not pregnant though just body messed up i suppose. So either the 8 tests ive done are wrong and im about 8 weeks pregnant or im still waiting for my body to sort itself out. Will be going doctors next month if period doesnt show again! In the mean tie i am confused about if i can try or not!!!

yum03creameggs · 26/03/2007 22:32

we were half-heartedly ttc end of last year, but only really started this year, on cycle 4 now.

karma · 26/03/2007 21:41

Hi goingfor3,
I know what you mean. Was really ready to be pregnant again in Jan and couldn't believe it when I had that BFP the first month of trying. Sadly of course I miscarried fairly soon after that. Just keep counting those days each month. Now worried that I won't be able to conceive again and/or that it will take ages, and unfortunately do not have time on my hands as 38 now. Guess I should just chill and see what happens - easier said than done!!

goingfor3 · 26/03/2007 10:45

Hi Karma, I've been trying since Jan. It's frustrating as I got pregnant straight away before!

karma · 23/03/2007 21:30

Hi Mum03 and goingfor3,
Just to update me (as I'm too lazy to read all your messages!) how long have you both been trying?

seaside72 · 23/03/2007 21:17

Thanks fruitful - I have just started my next AF (2nd on the supplements) and it is horrific -heavy, sore boobs for a week before, crazy PMS, cramps, headache etc. Rubbish!!

I hope it gets better again next month

mum03 · 23/03/2007 21:10

Goingfor3 - yep went to look at my results today - apparently I am in the peak of health and not pg! So it looks like my short light periods were just that. I have decided that as soon as I confirm ov though temps rising (hopefully tomorrow), I am going to try to take a step back and relax and enjoy a couple of weeks with no focus on ttc. Not sure how I will deal with my mn addiction . But each time I read about you cycle, it is so like mine it is spooky. What is the betting we have af/pg result at the same time again this month? I will let you know tomorrow if I have def. already ov'd yet or still currently oving.

goingfor3 · 23/03/2007 14:42

Hi mum03, odd that we seem to be going through the same thing! I'm ov'ing around now. I've decided not to caluculate and exact af date and have gone for a timeframe of a few days so I don't get too fussed about being early or late. I'm not going to test early either as it only leads to disapointment. On the bright side we have made alot more effort this month and it has been for pleasure rather than baby making. I'm feeling hopeful at the moment but I'm sure I will go up and down, but I'm also not sure if I really want a christmas baby which is probably why it feels so much more relaxed. I hope things work out for you, have you had your results yet?

fruitful · 23/03/2007 14:14

Seaside - the first month I had a shorter cycle (by a few days) and was lighter than normal, no spotting, bright red. I was wondering what was going on and did a bit of googling and wondered if it might be the vits. If you have really rotten pmt or periods they recommend you take b-vits and magnesium (and a load of other things too) so it makes sense that it would change things somehow!

2nd month I had agonisingly sore boobs and a heavy period but am ttc so it may have been "one that got away". This month, normal service.

I think I'm going to stick to folic acid and start taking the multivit once I'm pregnant.

mum03 · 23/03/2007 13:45

Seaside - you could always try for triplets!!!!

seaside72 · 22/03/2007 21:20

Hi ladies - I am not TTC #3 (wish I was though!!! ) but am creeping in form TTC#1 and temping threads (mum03 knows me!!) to compare notes with fruitful

Fruitful - I just noticed your post about the B vits etc and the exact same thing has just happenend to me - Started taking loads of herbal/vitamin supplements in Feb and my cycle was nice and regular - 26 days (normal for me) and AF started with no symptoms (no sore (.)(.), no pms, no cramps and also went straight to red with no brown spotting). I was very excited, but then this month it is all back to normal - all the symptoms have returned along with even more spotting and a shorter cycle???

Whats up with that!

karma · 22/03/2007 21:02

Thanks mum03. Hope we all have some good news soon. Reading one of your messages - what is IUI? Sorry for my ignorance.

mum03 · 22/03/2007 13:08

Hi Karma, nope - you are not too old yet, we are all youngsters here !

karma · 22/03/2007 13:03

"bump"

karma · 21/03/2007 13:52

Hi all those TTC no.3,
Just to give you some background. I am 38 (just!) and have two DS, 4 and 2. DH and I decided to start trying for no.3 in the new year, fell pregnant straight away but sadly miscarried at 5 weeks (mid Feb). Felt that the only way to get over it was to contiue trying, and really thought I might be pregnant again straight away (no period since miscarriage). However started bleeding today so obviously I'm not. Really sad today, I soooo want to be pregnant again. Having silly thoughts about never being able to have another baby cause of my age. It's not the sort of thing I want to talk to anyone about cause I know I'm being stupid, and I'm sure that I will have another baby at some point (didn't have any problems conceiving DS). Think that it's because I'm such a control freak and I hate not being able to control this part of my life! Everyone I know seems to be pregnant or just had a baby and two of my closest friends have 3 children and I feel really jealous which is completely ridiculous.
Really good to read some success stories on this thread. Hope I can join you.
Any words of wisdom gratefully received!

fruitful · 20/03/2007 12:10

Hi Mum03. I don't have any tests left. Could go and get one, but I just know that if I test, then AF will show up 10 minutes later!

We're hoping to exchange contracts on our house sale today or tomorrow. I can't decide which thing to be more stressed about!

Did the docs suggest any reason for light afs? Have you started taking any diff vitamins recently? I started taking B vitamins and magnesium and the next period was light, painless, and all bright red - no clots or brown (sorry if tmi!). Sadly the effect didn't last.

mum03 · 20/03/2007 10:11

Hi loubers - not IUI but I am 39 and ttc#3.

Fruitful - did you test again today??? hope it really comes up a strong bfp for you today.

goingfor3 - you and I are still cycle buddies by the looks of things, whatever is affecting you is affecting me too! You started 4 days early with a light af, I started 3 days early with the same. Went to the doc last thursday to get blood tests done to confirm that I am not pg. Results will be known by end of this week. I know I am not but having had two extremely light af's in a row, I thought I should get it checked. Sorry I am waffling about me here, how are you. I am ov-ing again already it would appear, how about you?

fresco - hi to you too.

loubers · 19/03/2007 12:04

38 and going for no3. Chance of having another slim, but am going to try IUI. Anyone else in similar position?

fruitful · 16/03/2007 13:42

I'm due on Tuesday. I saw your other thread about the OPKs, just going over there ...

goingfor3 · 16/03/2007 11:29

I'm only on CD6 I think. It's hard to tell because I spotted for a couple of days and then had a barely there period. GP said I should start counting my cycle day from when the proper bleeding started. I've got some ov sticks because I really am unsure of myself this month and I have pre-seed to as I thought it would be worth a go!

re you due to test soon then?
