I popped in to see if there was any news, I'm so sorry Star Flowers it sucks Sad good that you can get going again straight away. I've been looking at my last cycle with full immunes as a kind of practice run and although I still feel very sad that it didn't work it helps a little bit.

I really struggled with the not knowing re dates too Itsme I had dates for scans after my baseline I think but the first time my egg collection got brought forward from the Monday to the Friday and last time it got pushed back a day. It's hard but I remember reading somewhere that it's good to have a 'go with the flow' attitude so I tried my best (not always successfully!) to adopt that.

Sorry about the baby bomb Maple why do people have to announce that it worked first time?!

Good work Sammy!

Brenna24 · 22/06/2016 09:07

Best of luck Sammy and Itsme

star1980 · 22/06/2016 09:07

Well done Sammy, throw everything at it!

Period turned up this morning right on cue. So starting Clomid round 2 tomorrow. Really hope I can be more chilled this time round. Im getting so sick of this.

Itsme247 · 22/06/2016 08:16

Eek Sammy I should be just behind you! At least we will be in tww together-ish!

I'm really struggling with all the unknowns regarding dates etc. I really just want to book things in and know when they are happening!!!

Have to go back for stimms injection training today (which I think is silly..) so hopefully will have my scan booked in for Saturday maybe.. I'll make a strong case for it!

loopylou1984 · 22/06/2016 08:01

Yes, I expect they'll over share!

So my day has started with femoral artery massage, keeping my feet warm, pomegranate juice, selenium, folic acid and liquid iron! Doing everything I can to build up a good lining!

maplebaby · 21/06/2016 22:59

Sammy I presume so but tbh I can't bear to ask what they did. I'm sure I'll find out some time though...

Yay to stabbing!

loopylou1984 · 21/06/2016 21:54

First injection done! Xx

loopylou1984 · 21/06/2016 21:04

Thanks Trixie! Hope time flies for you so you can get started too.

Brenna - that's a lovely idea. Your baby will always be with family.

Maple - sorry for the baby bomb, well done on the congratulations. It's so hard. I never really mean the congratulations now.
I assume that it was iui or home insemenation as its a same sex couple?
That's exactly how I feel re Accupuncture, I've got to see it through now otherwise the hundreds that I've already spent was for nothing. Xx

maplebaby · 21/06/2016 20:21

Thanks both - honestly being on here is a lifesaver. Managed a congratulations but she had written how it worked first time and they had no conception issues etc. Eugh.

I have one friend who has been totally amazing. I told my mum and sister and how down I felt and they told me to "be good and congratulate them". I know it must be hard for them as they haven't been through it to really understand but can't help feeling hurt by their comments sometimes.

Sammy that's annoying you have to pay £60 again! But I guess better than not having it at all. So weird you could see the lining moving!! Glad it was ok otherwise.

Banana joking in with the AF dance for you!
Hope the Hycosy is ok and is all clear - I didn't find it bad at all.

Hoping AF stays away for you star!

star1980 · 21/06/2016 19:36

Maple, mute the group right now. If you can manage a quick congrats, do it then have a cry if you need and a nice big Wine. It's so hard and unfair, but it will pass. So sorry Flowers

Glad the scan went well Sammy and best of luck for the next cycle.

Banana, fingers crossed for a good solid period.

Hey trixie, thinking of you. Well done on coming to a decision on the scratch. Might as well try it hey.

13dpo here and going a bit crazy. Symptomless and expecting period tonight or tomorrow.

Brenna24 · 21/06/2016 19:21

Sad hugs Maple. It is so hard. Hopefully some time soon you will be sending them similar news.

maplebaby · 21/06/2016 18:55

Sorry in advance for me me me but feel like crying. Just got baby bombed by my friend - her wife is pregnant Sad can't even bring myself to congratulate her but my whatsapp is going crazy.

Brenna24 · 21/06/2016 16:18

Don't apologise - I can't remember writing it Grin. I have the memory of a goldfish.

JustTrixie · 21/06/2016 16:08

Sorry Brenna I remember you saying about taking your babies ashes to the family plot now Flowers family time and a wedding sounds lovely.

Star I completely forgot to say good luck for testing and I hope AF stays well away. The last few days are so hard, definitely good to look at it as a three course treatment.

Brenna24 · 21/06/2016 15:32

We are taking our first babies ashes to the family plot in Italy. Visiting all the relatives and having a couple of days in Rome and hopefully a day on the beach, then we are off to Romania for a friend's wedding. Fun all round.

JustTrixie · 21/06/2016 15:22

Hi everyone,

Great to have you back MPP Smile definitely worth going along to the NHS appointment. Exciting that you are planning your Czech cycle.

Aw, thanks ladies, you are all lovely. My pregnant friend knows all about our struggles, she was really hoping that this cycle would work for us.

I can't believe the difference in your PGS over the 2 cycles Banana, thank goodness you did it. Our Dr. at our follow up suggested PGS if we use up our 4 frosties from last cycle and still no BFP. I really thought we wouldn't have to do another fresh cycle (and FX we don't) but mentally preparing to go through another with PGS in the new year. I really hope AF arrives for you. I will join Sammy in an AF dance.

Also interested to hear how your massage goes!

Star, I think after a lot of deliberating we are going to go ahead with the scratch. I had a consultation with an immune specialist in January and cheekily e-mailed the clinic regarding the scratch and immunes and they came back saying most women at their clinic have the scratch with/without immune issues. I had a quick look at their success rates and they are pretty good.

Welcome to the thread Bellini Smile

Hi Ispalts, hope your appointment goes well this week.

Glad AF arrived and the scan went well Sammy. Really hope everything goes smoothly for you this cycle.

Good luck for your scan next week Itsme.

Doing my best to keep busy before my next cycle Maple so hopefully time will go fast, and there is stuff happening (scratch, nurses appointment, delivery of meds) so it feels like progress is being made. Not long until your appointment now.

Brenna it definitely sounds like you needed a nap on Sunday after all of that. Brilliant that you helped raise that money Smile ooh, where are you off to on holiday? DH and I decided to scrap our plans for a hol before our next cycle but have two long weekends away visiting family in Scotland and then Wales to look forward to.

Hope you're having a lovely holiday Lucie!

Brenna24 · 21/06/2016 13:45

And by this I meant the massage.

loopylou1984 · 21/06/2016 13:18

Thank you all, scan was fine. Ovaries were quiet and lining down to 2.3mm and still shredding... I could see it moving on my scan! The nurse wrote it down as 23mm to begin with. I told her that would have been an actual miracle for me!
Start suprecur tonight and menopur from tomorrow. I forgot about making up the menopur... It makes me feel like a pharmacist! Lol.

Banana - you'll have to report back on the instructions so we can all try it! Sounds very interesting though... And we've discussed castor oil packs before I seem to remember! Lol. Keeping everything crossed for a heavy AF for you. Is there some kind of AF dance? Like a rain dance but for individual people only?

MPP - everyone raves about the Czech clinic so I'm sure you'll be fine. You have all of us to ask questions to as well!

Brenna24 · 21/06/2016 12:24

I hope this helps Banana. This sentence made me laugh "Brenna you’re a one-woman efficiency queen! Stem cell scientist by day, domestic goddess, horticultirist and part time vetinarian by night." Mainly I am just tired and crabbit.

Only 3 days until my blood draw. Then a month to results. But a lovely holiday in between. I am focussing on that right now.

MPP81 · 21/06/2016 10:25

Morning all!

Thanks Stealth. I'm keeping everything crossed for the exam results. They're due mid July and while I didn't stress too much while we were away, I've found myself thinking about it rather alot the last few days! I'm so glad everything is going well for you! Exciting that your scan is so close but I imagine it's also quite nerve wracking! Best of luck for it! Smile

ispalts Goodles luck for your appointment next week. It always feels good to get things moving.

Bellini and Maple ooooh, iui next month! Exciting for you both, and you'll be able to compare experiences together. Everything crossed for you both!

Maple Thanks for the congrats! How did you find the acupuncture?

Sammy I hope the scan has gone well! Sucks about your acupuncture lady being away though but I can see why you'd use a different one. It would maybe seem like a waste of the previous appointments if you didn't keep them up now? The idea of Czech makes me nervous to be fair, as I'd much rather be here and know I could physically go and ask any questions/get help with any issues, but the price difference makes a massive difference to us. Here we could afford one or maybe two goes whereas there we could afford 3. A no brainer. I'm not really looking forward to it though, especially the logistics of how/when to book flights. I'm hoping to pick the brains of those who've been already when the time approaches and I STILL haven't joined the Czech group that Lucie keeps telling me about.

Fab news Itsme! Hopefully all will proceed right on schedule for you!

Banana I am absolutely loving married life! I'm still telling anyone and everyone who'll listen about our wedding and honeymoon. I just can't believe it all flew by so fast! Mayan Abdominal Therapy! That sounds... interesting! I'm going to go and have a Google once I've written this post! I'm giggling at soggy flannels! Fingers crossed for AF for you! :)

bananafish81 · 21/06/2016 08:21

MPP congratulations and welcome back! Hope married life is treating you well and that you’ve had a fabulous break

Bellini welcome - this is a wonderful group, I’m sorry you find yourself here, but hope you will find it as supportive as I know we all do [flower]

itsme great news about AF - not long till downreg scan and then you’ll be rocking! Stimming goes sooooo quickly once you’ve started, you’ll be at EC before you know it. Excited for you!

lucie hope you are having a fab time sunning yourself and getting lots of R&R

Sammy good luck for scan - thinking of you. I can totally relate to scanxiety, it’s like ‘aaarrrgggghhhhh, what is it gonna show?!!!!’ Everything crossable crossed lovely xx

BTW, this Mayan Abdominal Therapy (google it if you want a laugh, it sounds like the most massive load of woowoo bollocks), if you strip all the ‘magic uterus aligning properties that will cure all known ills’ garble, basically seems to be some extra woowoo magical special tummy massage. Which I’m hoping will just help to stimulate blood flow to the uterus. Obv if it cures all known ills then bonus Wink Much of the session seems to be about teaching you techniques to do self massage at home, so hopefully I’ll be able to do a more informed tummy rub, than just me randomly smushing things around for a couple of minutes!! I think she’s gonna try and make me do castor oil packs, which keep popping up on infertility forums: I fail to see how a soggy flannel is going to do anything, and it sounds like a right faff, so I may have to have selective hearing…!! Session booked in for Friday, I have the most ridiculous questionnaire to fill in before then Grin

Brenna you’re a one-woman efficiency queen! Stem cell scientist by day, domestic goddess, horticultirist and part time vetinarian by night Smile

Maple hurrah for AF! I haven’t actually had a HyCoSy before - because we rushed to IVF so ridiculously quickly, because all the tests suggested I was in borderline premature ovarian failure (no, we still haven’t figured out what was going on there, now I’m PCO again), we never tested my tubes. Although as the main purpose is the saline bit to look at the uterine cavity, the squirt up my tubes will be a bit of a bonus I guess

Star good luck for test date - thinking of you. My maxim is always ‘expect the worst, but hope for the best’ - although not sure how much of a mega PMA example I am! But hoping for you all the same

AFM, last day of Provera today, so tomorrow onwards it’s knicker watch, desperately hoping for signs of any sort of imminent period (not expecting anything, so prepared for plan A to be a total washout)

Dr obv thinks if it’s gonna show, it’ll show within a week, as my HyCoSy is booked in for a week’s time (28th) - which he says we’ll cancel if I’ve had a bleed before then. I’m then booked in to see him for a consult 2 days later to talk next steps

Ho hum.

loopylou1984 · 21/06/2016 08:18

Thank you Maple, I'm in the waiting room now.
I'm ok, just nervous. I'm so used to things going wrong now that I kind of expect it if that makes sense? Plus AF is very light this month which is worrying.

My acupuncture lady is on holiday for the next two weeks (typicall), so I have a new one lined up. Sadly I have to pay £60 instead of £45 for the first appointment again... Not much I can do about it though. Xx

maplebaby · 21/06/2016 06:47

AF started for me today too!! It seems heavier which is good - wonder if the Pom juice / acupuncture helped?!

Sammy hope scan goes ok and you feel less tearful this morning?

Itsme hope your scan is ok next week and you get to crack on!

Itsme247 · 21/06/2016 06:20

Finally started period so hopefully with the scan a week from now I can start stimming!

loopylou1984 · 20/06/2016 21:16

Thanks guys. AF rocked up in the night/early this morning and scan is at 8.30 tomorrow. Should be ok. If not I guess they'll have me back Wednesday morning.

Banana - that's a good description. It really is like I open the floodgates sometimes! Tell me more about this Maya abdominal therapy? Sounds like it would go well with the woo acupuncture!
Also I can't believe that about your blasts. Imagine if you'd not tested and used all those Frosties. You might have given up when actually you never stood a chance. Geez.

MPP - welcome back!!!

Hi Bellini, welcome! Knowledgeable bunch here, you've come to the right place.

Star - good luck with testing.

Brenna - wow, that's a busy weekend! An allotment, how grown up!

MPP - you're off to Czech too. I think you're all very brave to go to another country for this. Although if we end up doing anything else privately then for the sake of my bank balance I may have to consider it!

Stealth - 12+2! That's seems to have gone fast... Although I appreciate not for you! Good luck for your scan Flowers

Maple - how did the Accupuncture go?

So I have my baseline scan in the morning. I'm all nervous and tearful this evening. It's stupid. I've had a million scans. They're not scary. Just.... Gahhh that we're all in this situation at all. SadSadSad
