Ahhhhhh, fab thanks Lucie! That was my main concern, right up until my smear results Confused

Everything crossed for tomorrow Sammy!

Trixie, hope you're doing OK!

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 19:41

Yes feels good to get going again whatever that may bring at least we are trying. Have missed you on here lately x

Yes! Don't think I'd have coped at all well with the finger prick test. The Dr said a week for my results and they'd call if there was a problem. I'll call to get the results and ranges anyway. No idea what normal range is. AF is due at the end of July so not long. Great that you're getting started

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 19:16

Sounds a lot easier at the surgery trixie although I think it should be fine tomorrow now. Do you have any idea what the normal ranges are for the folate and b12? Any news on when you will be starting your fet?

JustTrixie · 18/07/2016 19:12

Glad you got the blood test sorted Lucie, what a pain about the finger pick test though. I had mine done at my surgery today.

I hope the call comes nice and early tomorrow Sammy. It must be torture waiting. FX that all is ok.

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 17:12

That's a good idea Sammy and I'm glad you've not had much bleeding. It sounds like it's definitely slowing.

My blood test is for red blood cell folate and b12 to check its replenished since the drugs for my ectopic. Hopefully everything will be ok and I can get on with transfers (providing I actually get anything to transfer that is)

Lucie - I'm going to stay at home until I speak to them. I'll go in if its good news. If it's bad news I'll be no use to anyone.
I have had no bleeding all day, although a little bit of browny red when I wiped just now. I've never spent so much money on of tests.

Thank you MPP.

Lucie - glad you've got your blood test sorted... I've forgotten what this is actually for? I'm sorry they're charging you for the ginger prick though. Seems a bit unfair, what's their reason?
That's a few things you have to sort, but make a list and 1 at s time. You'll be fine.

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 13:43

Hey MPP, yes on a normal cycle a day either way doesn't matter. I've had my first scan on day 7,8 and 9 in the past and they have been fine with that. It's just with the mini they said I only need one scan on day 10 so just typical it's the one day they can't do and I'm not sure which way to go with it. I may enquire with the clinic that's doing my blood test tomorrow as they seem to do lots of scans etc Good luck with you hospital appt this week x

Oooh so you're now underway, Lucie! Exciting for you! Sucks about the finger prick though. At least you'll get it sorted tomorrow now. I'm intrigued about the scan days as, if we are able to go ahead this month and af is a day out either way, I would be due a scan on the Saturday we are away. In that circumstance, do you know if the day before/day after would be acceptable for a scan?

Sammy, I hope you are OK. I've been thinking about you. I hope the results tomorrow will be able to give you some reassurance xx

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 13:24

Oh and my doctor asked me to book a scan on day 10 but I can only get day 9 or 11. I'm thinking maybe 11 is best as because it's mini they won't be changing dose or anything so maybe it's better a day nearer to trigger so they can get a better idea of how big the follicles are likely to be on trigger day?! I don't know really. Feel like I've got a million things to try and sort at the moment.

Aww well not too much longer then although I know it will seem ages to you. Will you be in work when you get the call or can you stay home tomorrow?

I've finally managed to sort my blood tests! I found somewhere that will do it locally at 7pm tomorrow for £60 which is even cheaper than the finger prick test. They are saying now that they will deduct £25 from my refund for the finger prick as I cancelled which I don't think is very fair. It's not that I wanted to cancel but I just think it's impossible to fill the tubes as much as they wanted from a couple of pin pricks! Just glad to get it sorted though. I've also booked my flights to Czech. They aren't particularly cheap at this time of year and I know if I leave it too long they will get really expensive or sell out so booked to go on day 12 and hopefully EC day 13 or 14 (if we get that far that is) I'm a little worried about my lining as the couple of periods I've had since the miscarriage / ectopic have been really light which I suppose isn't surprising since I bled for around 8 weeks. I'm just worried that my lining won't thicken up for transfer. I have a fair amount of blood on wiping but it's not even really hitting the pad so not sure it would be considered a flow. I guess I will just have to freeze if it's not thick enough but I was quite looking forward to having a fresh transfer.

I won't get my results until tomorrow. I saw my favourite nurse and she kindly didn't charge me which was a bonus. I've not had any fresh bleeding yet today, however the same thing happened yesterday then started at 11. I'm sure it's only a matter of time today. Feeling really sad, and am doing a terrible job at work as I can't concentrate.

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 10:46

Hope it went ok Sammy did they say when they would ring with the results?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 18/07/2016 09:51

Oh Lucie, it sounds really difficult. I hope you find a clinic that can help you out quickly.

I'm in the waiting room for my blood test now. I'm so nervous I feel sick. I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the day waiting for the results. It's torture! X

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 09:05

Thanks everyone, just going to try a clinic now that might potentially do it.

Itsme, yep begun my cycle! Day 2 today. Hope things are going well with you.

Itsme247 · 18/07/2016 07:36

Good luck for this morning Sammy xx

Itsme247 · 18/07/2016 07:35

Yep definitely a pain that one Lucie! i can't remember, are you cycling this month?

Borisisback · 18/07/2016 07:20

Oh lucie - sounds like a nightmare, good luck finding somewhere else there must be other options

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 07:19

Well I failed miserably with the blood tests this morning. I stabbed myself loads of times but I just can't get enough blood to come out to fill the two tubes in the time required. I've emailed and asked for a refund and will see if I can find somewhere locally where I can go and have it done.

Good luck today Sammy x

Lucie great you are back on the roller coaster I hope this on is a nice gentle ride.

Sammy best of luck for tomorrow. Xxx

Itsme - I have a house keeper for 2 hours a week. She cleans the kitchen (not inside fridge, oven etc) and 1 bathroom (we only have one) as well as doing all floors, light dusting, makes the beds ( I leave out clean sheets and she changes them for me). She can do loads if I tidy up first - it's far quicker to clean an organised house... If you leave lots of stuff your house keeper will waste time sorting it out. We got a cleaner as a compromise to our very different standards of clean and tidy.... Now the cleaner gets to define the standard.

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 22:25

Good luck for tomorrow Lucie :). You'll be fine.
Thanks Trixie. I can't believe after everything it's taken to get a bfp this is what's happened.

I've had a fairly positive day, but cramps are quite frequent and I can't help but think surely an embryo couldn't survive them and the bleeding. Gah.

JustTrixie · 17/07/2016 21:09

I've been away again and only just caught up with the thread. Sammy I am so sorry to hear that you've had some bleeding. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and crossing everything for lovely high hcg levels. When I had blood tests for hcg I always got the results the same day.

Lucie, good luck tomorrow!

On my phone so will catch up properly in the week.

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 18:35

That's great news Sammy, I'm glad you've had a nice day and I really hope the results are good tomorrow and you can put this little blip behind you.

I'm trying round 2 of taking my blood again tomorrow. I think I need to try and be a lot quicker with it so might stab a few fingers all in one go lol the things we have to do eh!

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 18:10

Yay Lucie, that's good news :).

As for me I actually had a nice afternoon with my parents. We didn't tell them what's going on as I don't want them worrying about me.

I've only had 2 episodes of bleeding today, and it's not been much. I have however had a couple of quite strong cramps.
On their own the cramps wouldn't worry me, but together with the bleeding I'm concerned. Just POAS again and it's a very obvious positive. So whatever's happening my levels aren't crashing. One of DHs clear blues! Lol.

MPP81 · 17/07/2016 16:02

Yeah that's what I do too. Very glad its arriving so you can start on time!
