Good luck MPP and Lucie :-)

lucieloos · 25/07/2016 07:57

Thank you just arrived at the clinic. I'm so nervous, hate this bit so much! I don't think there's going to be anything there. I can't feel anything.

Good luck MPP and Lucie! x

Brenna24 · 24/07/2016 23:16

I ache a bit Sammy but I'm not too bad.

Best of luck MPP and Lucie. How exciting. Unbelievable that you guys are missing each other though.

lucieloos · 24/07/2016 20:04

Thanks Sammy! Glad all is good with you.

MPP, we don't tend to change currency although we are a bit like that wherever we go. We just draw it out of the cash machine when we arrive at the airport. There is a small charge normally a few pounds per transaction and I'm sure maybe you could save a little bit if you ordered currency in advance but it just suits us to do it that way as like you say we can just take out what we need then. I know in Brno they have little exchange kiosks as well along the main street which we used on our first trip. I'm sure they have them in Prague too but obviously you won't want to be faffing with that when you get there late so maybe either order a smallish amount in advance and top up later with a cash point or just take it all out of the cash point when you get there.

Lucie and MPP! It's all go. Keeping everything crossed for both of you.
Lucie good luck for your scan tomorrow, and MPP good luck for yours on Wednesday! Xx

MPP81 · 24/07/2016 19:54

Yes, we stuck with our original hotel, but still consideriing changing. We can cancel up until thursday, and I'm still umming and ahhhing. haha, we really will be like passing ships for the next week! Do you change any money to take with you? We weren't sure if we should, as it would be useful to have some currency with us, I assume, but we dont want to be stuck with lots of it if we don't use it all. Good luck with the scan tomorrow! I hope it goes well for you :-)

lucieloos · 24/07/2016 19:25

Eeekk mpp, glad you have everything sorted and the stimms are ok! I have my scan with Jodie tomorrow morning I'm so scared but you will love her she really is lovely. I may possibly have another scan on Wednesday so we will just miss each other there. Did you decide to stick with your original hotel? I still haven't booked a hotel yet as I want to book the deal with the barcelo on their website but it's non refundable so I have been waiting and will see how the scan goes tomorrow. We are due to fly out on Thursday and probably back Monday so we will be like passing ships!

Wednesday and Friday, not Tuesday and Friday!

MPP81 · 24/07/2016 18:45

Evening all! Apologies for the abscence. We had a couple of nights away and I'm avoiding mumsnet on my phone at the moment as I keep getting dodgy pop-ups!

Itsme, that sounds very uncomfortable. :( I hope you start feeling better soon.

Sammy, how are you doing? Scan on 9th August? I can imagine it feels like ages away, but it'll be here before you know it!

Brenna, I did the same with a zumba class not long ago! I swear, it nearly killed me, but I got through it and ended up loving it! I haven't been since the wedding though. My trainers are black with pink edges.

Trixie, when we started ttc two years ago, one of the other staff had a car with a bfp number plate. Ignore the bus bfn. Buses are well known for being inaccurate!

Lucie, when do you fly out now? I am doing ok. Flights booked, accomodation booked, scans booked for Tuesday and Friday(with Jodie). Stimms are ok. I've been making DH do them for me so far, but I guess I'll have to do them myself at some point! The first one he did to the right didnt hurt at all, but the second he did to the left really stung! No idea why. I have a bit of padding in the area Blush. We fly out a week tonight and I'm starting to get nervous now, thinking about all the 'what ifs'. EC collection is on my mind alot too. How are you doing?

Hope everyone else is ok! :-)

Brenna24 · 24/07/2016 15:00

That sounds awful Itsme. Everything crossed here too. The trainers weren't too bad, a £75 pair which I got a 10% discount on. More expensive than my normal but hopefully no sore feet either.

You are indeed pregnant today Sammy and hopefully for many, many more days to come.

loopylou1984 · 24/07/2016 12:51

Oh bless you, that's rubbish. I guess you can't take the medication when pregnant then. Have you tried sports drinks? They rehydrate you quicker so even if you don't manage your three litres you'll be ok. Keeping everything crossed for you for Wednesday.

I'm ok thank you. No real plan, although thankfully we do have quite a bit on in the evenings this week so that will help. I'm trying to embrace something banana said and just think 'for now I am pregnant'

lucieloos · 24/07/2016 11:36

Itsme, I really hope the ohss eases up for you soon and good luck for Wednesday.

MPP, how are you getting along with stimms? Have you got your flights, accommodation and scans all sorted now?

How are you doing Sammy? What's the plan to keep yourself occupied until the scan? X

Itsme247 · 24/07/2016 08:24

Brenna good luck with the excersise! I've always wanted that gait analysis done, but never been in the mood to pay for the expensive trainers they suggest ha! Well done!

I'm feeling pretty rubbish and down in the dumps, I called the clinic and they said as long as I was having a wee and not vomiting there's not really anything they can do and just to keep drinking clear liquids (at least 3ltrs a day) which after attempting it yesterday is absolutely impossible, Its better in the mornings but by the afternoon I'm a whale and can't eat let alone drink.

And, I'm so over the sex ban, all I want is a little time to feel attractive again and those effing vag bullets are also truly disgusting.

Other than that, I keep thinking I'll POAS on weds and it'll be BFN and this will all be for nothing. Terrified of it not sticking.

loopylou1984 · 24/07/2016 07:46

Itsme - how are you?

Brenna - hehe to your pink trainers! Mine are pink too, but that was by choice Smile
Straight in to body bump? Ouch! How are your muscles feeling now?

Brenna24 · 23/07/2016 11:32

That sounds awful, Itsme. I hope it settles quickly.

Darker lines is a good thing Sammy. I hope the 9th arrives quicker than you think.

I have joined a gym this week. I've put on over 2 stone over the last year with all the pregnancies and miscarriages. My induction was thursday night and I did my first class this morning. Bodypump. Ouch. Not having a clue I just booked one in for a time that suited me. Apparently it is quite a hard one to start on. I survived though. Afterwards I went to get new trainers as my current ones are just slightly too narrow and make my feet ache. I got gait analysis done first. That was hilarious. The leg that I thought would be bad has the best gait he has ever seen. He says it is perfectly straight and just like the textbook ones in their training. Not bad after torn cartilage and 8 dislocations. My other leg, however, pronates quite a bit and flops all over the place. It took ages to find a combination of shoes and insoles that helped it. I didn't want pink shoes, so of course the ones which did work well were the brightest pink in the shop. Oh well, I look suitable girly now and it gave us a laugh.

loopylou1984 · 23/07/2016 07:34

My scans 9th August! Ages away!
Enjoy your breakfast! Xx

Itsme247 · 23/07/2016 07:29

I'm going to have a very salty breakfast and I've been craving milk and cheese, it's funny how the body knows what it needs.

When is your scan? It feels like being pregnant is going to last forever, it's taken so long to get here!

loopylou1984 · 23/07/2016 07:25

When I had it they gave me a wonder drug called cabergoline. I'm not sure if you can take it when pg though.
Honestly keep drinking, as much as you can. Water/milk etc. They will be concerned by the reduced urine output.
Being slim and 15 eggs makes you a likely OHSS candidate like me. What stimms were you on? Mine were reduced this time to try to avoid it.

I'm ok thank you. IC lines have got darker, and haven't had anymore bleeding since early this week. My scan just seems SO far away though. No really symptoms yet, but not sure when to expect them! Xx

Itsme247 · 23/07/2016 07:14

How are you getting on Sammy?

Good stuff getting the intripalids sorted Lucie.

Banana I'm really holding out for you and a nice thick lining!

Itsme247 · 23/07/2016 07:05

Thanks Sammy, I didnt know if this was just an early pregnancy thing. Ohss was the last thing that was on my mind! I'm normally a size 8/10 and I'm so glad it's been hot because I can't fit into any of my clothes apart from dresses!

Yes I think we'll go down to clinic today to get checked, I don't think it's very severe but I've got quite a high 'no fuss' threshold. My favourite example is when I had a minor bladder infection which, actually, turned into being hospitalised for a week with a severe kidney infection.

I don't sound very healthy do I? Kidney infection, pnemonia...

loopylou1984 · 23/07/2016 06:54

loopylou1984 · 23/07/2016 06:53

Oh Hun, that does sound like OHSS, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Are you slim?
I had the back pain in the night and couldn't find any way to relieve it... I even tried a bath at 3am!
The silver lining is that late onset OHSS is a sign of a sticky bra an, so congratulations!!
If you can wait for your clinic to open then they are far more knowledgable that a&e, however you know how you feel and don't delay getting checked out if it's really severe.
Drink as much as possible, and stay upright. My consultant told me that the back and chest pain is caused by the fluid moving up around all your organs. Keep us updated. Xx

Itsme247 · 23/07/2016 06:43

Hi Sammy, yeah tested this morning - line is darker. I'm going to have to call the clinic / go to a&e this morning it seems I've got delayed onset ohss which started to come on Thursday and I've been telling myself it can't possibly be that, I only had 15 follies and I've felt absolutely fine up until now.

Last night went out for dinner, could barely eat anything and my upper abdomen (like above the belly button) is so bloated the skin actually hurts. It feels like I've done about 1000 sit ups, which would be ok but this morning I didn't really have my normal morning wee and I've got really bad back pain like I did when I had pneumonia and I'm feeling properly dizzy, so I'm really worried I've got a lot of fluid build up.
