Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

My update for the week - still have slight pink tinged discharge when I wipe. If that carries on tomorrow it will be 7 days of it now.

Lots of CM in general.

Still expecting AF to show any moment as I have been having on and off very slight cramps / stitch type pains for the last 7 days

MoonlightMojitos · 19/08/2016 17:19

pj 14 days after ov sounds like a good idea. Did you test again today out of interest or are you stopping now for this cycle?

I'm so sorry coffee hope you're OK :(. Take it easy xx hopefully you'll get that referral from your doctor if you're worried.

Thanks mrscw it's just all going wrong at once! Things can only get better as they say...

eva no, I don't opk. Just relaxed approach. My cycles are regular with ov on cd15/16 and ewcm so I just go by that.

Eva30 · 19/08/2016 15:44

I've only had small amounts. People say cough syrup is great but I'm not up for that. I've stocked up today on omega 3 & evening primrose and green tea and I'll let you know if there's any difference this month!

Pyjamas81 · 19/08/2016 09:58

Thanks Eva - that's what I keep telling myself - it only takes one! Just pissed off that I've missed the majority of my FW again due to getting peak results at totally unpredictable times!

I'd also be interested in tips on how to improve CM - I literally have none! Which I find worrying - I came off the pill 4 months ago, maybe it takes longer to get back to normal?

CoffeeAndTea · 19/08/2016 09:39

Thanks everyone. I don't think there's much hope to be honest, AF is in full flow and I have cramping too. Also my temp this morning was on the cover line. Yesterday I had to leave work early as I felt dizzy and nauseous with a banging headache, perhaps that was the drop in hormones?

I was kind of expecting this to happen, I genuinely suspect I have low progesterone (luteal phase has ranged from 8 days to 11 after b6 supplements). Hopefully my GP will referer me for blood tests this time.

Eva30 · 19/08/2016 08:35

coffee I have everything crossed for you. I know it's almost impossible but try to relax as much as you canFlowers
difficultyear how are you getting on, did you do a test?
pjs oh bad timing indeed! It only needs one determined swimmer thoughGrin
moonlight I'm sorry to hear about your dog and having a tough time - last thing you need when TTC, it's stressful enough as it is!! Do you do opks? When will you start testing?

I'm hoping to improve my EWCM this month and have been looking for tips. I've read green tea every morning and taking omega 3 and evening primrose oil - anyone tried these or any other tips?

Pyjamas81 · 19/08/2016 08:20

Sorry to hear you're in limbo coffee - it's the worst Sad

MrsC - my cycles are literally all over the place so I start testing around CD7 or 8 as my ovulation days really vary (from CD10 to CD19) and I never really have any variety of CM to speak of so I don't want to miss it. Glad I did start testing early!

MrsCW86 · 19/08/2016 08:07

Thanks everyone for the welcomes Smile
*
moonlight* sounds like you have loads going on - when it rains it pours and all that... Hope you're ok and that your dog is too, they are part of the family but when they're ill it's so stressful, not what you need!

pj can I ask how come you decided to test early (sorry if you already said in another post)? My cycles are a bit all over the shop so wondered if there were any symptoms you noticed that maybe I can look out for... Not that I need encouragement symptom spotting Confused

coffee hope you're ok, it's horrible when you're in limbo like this, just having to wait. Keeping everything crossed for you Flowers

CoffeeAndTea · 19/08/2016 06:59

Woke up to what looked like AF this morning, BUT because of my previous CP and the fact AF was late and I had early symptoms, decided to test and got a very faint positive. I'm in tears because I think this is another CP. last time I convinced myself that it was normal early pregnancy bleeding, but when it stopped and I tested again I got a bfn. All I can do now is wait Sad

Pyjamas81 · 18/08/2016 22:07

Do you know what - I have no idea when to test now! Who knows when AF is due to show given this early OPK result! Might go for 14 days after tomorrow. Gah!

MoonlightMojitos · 18/08/2016 22:03

Lol I can't skip between pages on here without losing my post so I have to do multiple posts so I can skip through pages to catch up on everything, very annoying! It's moving so fast too, a few more days so and we'll be on to thread 5 I think! Fx for another bfp or 2 first, who's next to test?

Pyjamas81 · 18/08/2016 21:48

Sorry mojito - cross post!

Pyjamas81 · 18/08/2016 21:44

I know right mojito! So so early so very confusing, but I can't argue with those results. DH and I have made a pact that we're only staying out for a bit after work tomorrow then coming home - hopefully his dad goes to bed early Blush

At least I know I'm not in for an endless couple of weeks of flashy faces - does go to show though, it's worth double checking with a cheapie OPK later in the day as I had a flashing smiley face this morning! I got the results below at about 7pm.

How are you getting on? Where are you in your cycle?

MoonlightMojitos · 18/08/2016 21:36

Welcome mrscw I recently had mc so know how crazy this all is. Fx for you this time round.

eva yay for af, fx for you too that this is your cycle!

Cd8 for me so as from tomorrow going to get on dp with dtd! Sticky cm today which is unusual for me at this point but still plenty of time for it to turn ew. Feeling a bit crappy and down at the moment, have so much going on. Stressed and bogged down at work, car has just broke and going to cost £££ but i need it for work so no choice but to fix it. And my dog has just been diagnosed with an illness so going to need meds now for rest of his life and he's feeling really sorry for himself bless him. Could really do without all this stress but trying to keep positive and hope something good has to happen soon to even it all out.

MoonlightMojitos · 18/08/2016 21:25

Yay pj this is good!!! I know it's inconvenient timing for you but at least you know you're ovulating after the unknown of last cycle and won't have the stress of the never ending flashy face! Fx for you! Thank goodness you started testing so early!

Pyjamas81 · 18/08/2016 20:33

Yep Eva - so damn early! Haven't managed to BD until now as we thought it was way too early and we were stressed with work. But we are where we are.

Yep - shortest cycle has been 22 days so far but interestingly fertility friend didn't pick up ovulation actually happening for the 32 day cycle or the 34 day one, but it did for the 22 day one, so we'll see if it does for this one!

Annoying as me and DH had separate plans tomorrow night, which we're now adjusting!

Eva30 · 18/08/2016 19:35

Bloody hell pjs that's so early, but no denying that's positive - fab!! Have you managed to get much BD in before today? What has been your shortest cycle, was it 22days? Maybe it'll be another short one.

Pyjamas81 · 18/08/2016 19:09

Welcome to the new additions to this lovely thread Smile

So I decided to cheapie OPK test on a whim when I got in from work and got the result below!! Obviously had to test twice then test with digi to be sure and got a static smiley! On CD10?! Is that even normal? DH is rushing home so we can get one dtd in the bag before his dad gets home (who is staying with us for the next few days, of course).

My cycle is so nuts - last month didn't peak until CD19 after 12 days of flashing. Has this happened to anyone else? Glad I started testing early or would have totally missed it!

First time TTC - thread 2
MrsCW86 · 18/08/2016 16:04

Thanks Eva, took a few months before I felt ready but back on it now so fx. Although also slightly terrified about getting pg as a bit of a stress head anyway, so can see the old anxiety levels going through the roof!

Eva30 · 18/08/2016 14:55

Hi mrscw you have almost the same stats as me! Welcome. sorry about mc.
coffeeandtea fx AF stays away.
givingitago I have no idea if it's too early but I'd take it as a good sign personally.

MrsCW86 · 18/08/2016 14:09

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 30 and ttc#1. AF arrived this morning so officially on cycle 3 I think, if I'm understanding it all right! I had a mc in January but was only ttc for one cycle before, so this is the first time I've read about basal temps or ewcm or opks etc - I never realised there was so much to think about, but can see myself becoming slightly obsessive about it all (downloaded several fertility tracker apps which I record every slightest twinge in Confused)

CoffeeAndTea · 18/08/2016 06:34

Sorry to hear that busy :( Flowers

I've had very light brown spotting since yesterday but no proper AF. I sat squinting at a test for half an hour this morning and I'm 99% sure it's negative. I'll do another tomorrow if no AF doesn't come, but I feel like it's on it's way Confused

givingitago85 · 18/08/2016 02:06

So sorry busy.

Is 4 dpo too early for implantation bleeding? Been a bit crapmy and (tmi) a brownish wipe earlier...not getting my hopes up!

Pyjamas81 · 17/08/2016 20:50

Hurrah Eva! AF is better than uncertain AF when you know it's on the cards in my book. Fingers crossed for cycle 5!

Just got back from boozy dinner - trying very hard to just keep my life going until I get a BFP. Last month's stress was horrible! Bet I'll be stressing in 2ww though...

Eva30 · 17/08/2016 20:08

AF finally arrived YAYYY (now there's something I never thought I'd say). Here we go, cd1, cycle 5 please be the one!
