I've just descended into the hell that is the tww. Had three days of very strong positive OPKs which I read might indicate the release of two eggs - when I told OH I couldn't keep him off me! His ultimate dream is to have twins haha!

I've really given it my all this cycle, and I'm already dreading the disappointment if I get another BFN...

So you get no line busy? Maybe a weird batch of tests?

Yeah - my DH will probably be the same about dtd, pressure does not a romantic evening make! I'm worried about it becoming a chore (for both of us).

I'm also grumpy today - had a right face on at work all day, skin has gone a bit crap and feel fat even though I'm not But, I'm hoping it's a sign of AF about to put in an appearance, so I can get Cycle 1 well and truly on the road!

See your stick makes sense. My just sort of does in the general area. No use.

I'm sulking and not doing an OPK today. Also dh seems to have a reason not DTD every night since the one and only time. Ugh. Not much going on over here besides frustration.

I just usually put if it's positive or negative. I think the high/low part is for the surge colours. So for example you can have a positive just then a dark positive etc. I might be wrong? With ovulation, I just got my first positive OPK on cd17/18 so I'm thinking I ovulated cd18/19 as the OPKs have now gone back to negative. I think you ovulate between 24 36 hours or so after your first positive OPK so that's how you can begin to pinpoint ovulation. You might also feel a bit crampy/bloated etc. Hope this helps

So I did my first OPK test (couldn't resist even though I knew it would be negative - wanted to figure it out!)

Now I know the pic below shows it's negative, but what confuses me is that Ovia asks for results that show positive, peak, high, low etc - how on earth do you know?! It also asks for putting in ovulation date - how do you know the actual date it happened?! The test instructions basically say that if it's the same as the control line it's positive, if not, it's negative. Nothing about peaks, highs and lows! If anyone can help me through this confusion, that would be great

I'm nervously awaiting Friday when first real AF is due - hoping I'm regular soon or tracking things will be difficult!

Quite upset as af has come back today after 3 days off. It cd7 so I was planning on dtd tonight as think I'll ovulate around cd10 so that's a bit of a spanner in the works. Wish my body would just settle down already! I knew it would take a while, possibly even several months, but I'm so impatient to get going!

I had a temp dip today which I was gutted about as thought it was supposed to stay high if fertilised. But then did a lot of reading and apparently there's such a thing called "implantation dip" around dpo6-9 and I am praying that's what mine is

Hi skylucy - I'm exactly the same! As in, I'm 35, so it's now or never. But I must admit I've put it off for as long as I can! I do want a family, but I think the massive responsibility and the fact that I will never again only have myself to think about gave me the heebies. Alone time is very important to me and I'm suddenly hyper aware that I may not have that anymore soon. DH is much more chilled about it than I am (although clueless about how conceiving works, as I was until a couple of weeks ago), but he's 41, so the now or never force is stronger in him!

pj I'm like that at the minute I can't read my books at work and having to wear cardigans in this blistering bloody heat to cover up the telltale butterfly stitches on my arm so no one at work sees!

I keep testing I know I shouldn't because its such a disappointment every time! I went a a bit mad and bought a more expensive ovulation kit and a thermometer late last night whilst feeling thoroughly depressed 😕 im starting to feel like we're never going to get pregnant.. DH thinks this is af coming I think he's right 😠

Welcome skylucy yeah I know what you mean - I'm ready to join the mum club! Cd20 for me and I'm eager to test but I know that's insane!! I got on holiday next weds so I hope to know either way then - it'll either be a celebratory relaxing hol or a cocktail drinking relaxing hol

I know right - the three years I had of the implant and no AF were great! I then went on pill as it was playing up at the end and I didn't want to risk AF paying a visit on my wedding day or honeymoon. Am hoping the pill might have helped regulate things a bit - we'll see...

Welsome sky I feel very much like you! Time is not on my side I had a feeling it would be hard to conceive just not this bloody hard! We followed smep over the bank holiday and it felt like a military operation, kinda removes the romance a bit lol!

I have managed to dtd pretty frequently maybe too frequently so I've heard, I've never been one to be that regular but doing it without contraception does excite me so that has helped me to get in the mood more, but before that I used to fall asleep before my head hit the pillow!!

I have that book! About halfway through! I have to keep putting it down as hubby getting jealous I'm not talking to him lol.

I know I just wish I knew wtf was going on. I expected and enjoyed radio silence whilst I had sticky. Now it's gone I feel like screaming at my stomach. "Well come on! Do something!"

I'm 32, TTC #1, cycle 5, CD 34 (AF en route).

Really interested to see all the comments re how OHs are feeling about this emotional time. My DH is 36 and has been waiting for years for me to be 'ready'. TBH I'm not even sure I'm ready now, but I'm well aware that time isn't on my side, and I feel I've lost all my friends who've had babies. I feel like it's a group I need to be part of, but am reluctant to join. Having said that, I've been surprisingly upset by the fact it's not as quick/easy as I expected, and I just wish it would happen! The symptom-spotting and am I/aren't I madness is driving me absolutely insane!

Try not to worry too much about lack of post implant removal activity! Although I know I'll start worrying what the F is going on if AF doesn't arrive this weekend (supposed to be first real one after withdrawal bleed off pill)

It's so strange how the mind plays tricks on you - I had sharpish stomach pains and lower back pain today and even though I know it's next to have impossible to have conceived, the mind started to wander!

I read the unmumsy mum book the other week - a great read and very reassuring that I won't be a crap mum just because I'll feel totally overwhelmed and question our decision after the second month of no sleep or time to myself!

pj I know what you mean! I always look at people like wtf when they say they have sex like 4/5 times a week! Do they not eat? Or sleep? Or binge watch Netflix?!

I think my body is broken. A week since implant out. No spotting or anything. Doing OPKs just so I have something to do (control freak). And so far all I've had is a bit of cramp and insomnia =\

Know what you all mean about not having the time/inclination to dtd! Both of us have hectic and demanding jobs so frequently exhausted during the week! And we've never been an at it like rabbits kind of couple anyway ha ha.

Hi girls another first timer here can I join?

I'm Jem, am 32, ttc 1, cycle 6, day 18 - 3 DPO

Been trying 6 months now and getting quite upset that it hasn't happened yet. I haven't been on birth control for years, my cycles are like clockwork and I know when I'm ovulating - using opks and checking cm. So I'm sure we are having enough sex at the right time. Must be Mother Nature taking her time - I'm getting impatient!

I'm aiming for 3 times a week during fw. My app says it thinks I'll ovulate cd15 but my last cycle was only 26 days so that would make ovulation around cd12 (this Sunday coming!) So I'm aiming for this Tuesday, Friday, Sunday and next Tuesday again as really want that BFP this month! Apparently more than every other day makes the sperm not as good quality as needs time to build up again.
