Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Ah cinnamon how frustrating the waiting is.. Fx!

I've been having cramping pelvic pain for the last 4 days, it's probably just my usual abdominal pain but further down and me noticing it there more because I know there's a chance! I've also got creamy cm still but again not reading too much into it, I've surprised myself by not being too bad with the symptom spotting/thinking I'm pregnant.

My boobs are absolutely killing me but that happened last month, 2 weeks of the month where they hurt even to walk down stairs and I want an option to take them off to sleep well as any accidental arms on them/lying on them wakes me up. Have had none of this for my last 9 years on hormonal contraception, I don't appreciate it, and neither does DH, he gets slapped away going anywhere near them, it's really romantic 😀

CinnamonTwist · 22/08/2016 10:47

Argh, now on CD34, of a normally 29 day cycle. Had AF like cramping for the last 5 days or so, just like I did when I was briefly pregnant before my MC, so either my body is massively winding me up and AF will appear soon or I ovulated really late this cycle. POAS this morning, and it was negative I thought I could maybe, just, sort of see a line in a certain light but probably seeing things so I guess I just have to wait a few more days and see what happens... Hate this waiting game!

Thanks cinamon i am worried im suddenly going to break down. The wednesday i saw the doc i was awful i completely broke down - someone asked me before how she knew, id taken some more tests that came back negative and change in symptoms she is a specialist in fertility who semi-retired to being a local GP so knew the signs instantly.

cinamon your sister sounds lovely helping you out and keeping you involved in a way that you felt comfortable. I know what you mean about the pain and nipping out, i was so drugged up on painkillers but didnt touch it. But the wedding for me was awful, i really struggled but my sis-in-law was a bit too spaced out which makes sense lol no hard feelings i just really struggled.

PJ don't count it out yet you have a chance! and i think its sounds like a plan dtd every other day, i have no idea about my cm i suppose i need to start paying more attention lol!

CinnamonTwist · 21/08/2016 20:25

Sorry to hear that busy, I can completely sympathise with what you went through; I started miscarrying on the Thursday before my sisters wedding, and finished the day after it. I was making and delivering her massive wedding cake and being a bridesmaid, none of which I could easily not do, so just had to grit my teeth and get on with it, she was amazing though - I was supposed to be MOH and she switched me with her friend and switched table plans last minute so I could not do so much and also sit with DH instead of on the top table. It was just as well as I was in a lot of pain and bleeding loads so had to keep nipping out during dinner to change my pad, which was no fun! Flowers for you, I found I was fine emotionally until a few days after, when it really hit me and I got very upset, I think it was partly the hormonal roller coaster playing with my emotions, so give yourself time to come to terms with it

Also - loving the 8dpo POAS addiction - we all start out with such good intentions!!

Pyjamas81 · 21/08/2016 20:22

Yep - that's right piehunter - have ov'd early in the past so this could make some sense. Just wish ovulation would pick a damn lane! I haven't got much hope for this month, but, let's see.

Next cycle, we're definitely dtd every other day when AF has gone - sick of missing most of my FW! Going to look at ways to improve CM as well as I literally have zero, it's like the damn gobi desert down there Confused

Piehunter · 21/08/2016 20:06

Enlarge should be early!! Don't wanna know what enlarge ov looks like 😲

Piehunter · 21/08/2016 20:05

busy I'm sorry you've had such a rough time, weddings when you're ill are hard!

pyjamas grr at crazy cycles..! However with your shorter cycle in the past the enlarge ov could make sense? As you said I'd probably keep peeing on opks!

Im 8dpo today.. Poas this morning 🙈 negative as expected.. Period due Weds if basing it on the 10 day LP I had last month but maybe not as last cycle was first off period, we'll see!

Pyjamas81 · 21/08/2016 19:08

How lovely of your DH to take time off with you busy - keeper Smile

Just googled the rationale behind the extra day and apparently it's to keep us covered in case egg is running late after LH surge. Considering the cycles I've had, will be pouncing on DH tomorrow night! One more time!

Yep - still going to do the cheapie opks just in case body geared up to ovulating but didn't manage it. It's very frustrating, but am weirdly less stressed than I was last month. However, let's see how zen I am at 10dpo lol. Going to try and hold out until 15 days after peak result which means testing on Friday 2nd Sept - argh!

BusyNothings · 21/08/2016 18:57

Thanks guys, im feeling better emotionally still have the moments though. DH has been great through it all he came straight home on wednesday and took thursday off with me. Thrown himself into the wedding celebrations, normally quite quiet and took the focus off me a bit as my family are really nosey and could tell i was ill. He seems to be coping a bit better though, hes a typical bloke and holds it all in.

PJ that cycle is crazy! how you feeling about it all? dont let it get you stressed. keeping fingers crossed for you! you going to keep doing opks just incase?

Eva30 · 21/08/2016 18:49

busy that sounds awful, you cinnamon and moonlight are doing incredible and fx for all of us this month.
pjs your batshit crazy cycles lol. I have no idea, have never stuck to the smep plan, I couldn't DTD every other day for a full cycle & every day during FW, I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

Pyjamas81 · 21/08/2016 18:40

Hi there Busy! It's lovely to have you back, but I'm so so sorry you've had such a rough time. Being a bridesmaid must have really taken it out of you. How is DH? I hope he's taking care of you. I don't know much about anything, but I think you're still fertile after an mc/cp.

I continue with the batshit crazy cycles - got static smiley and mega positive cheapie opks on CD10. However, fertility friend says I may have ov'd on CD9 which makes no damn sense. So, am ignoring fertility friend and assuming I ov'd at CD11! Dtd three nights in a row, having a break tonight then one more time tomorrow - anyone know why the Smep plan has that late one last BD?

MoonlightMojitos · 21/08/2016 18:34

Oh busy I'm so sorry you've had such a horrid weekend, thinking of you and hope it doesn't last too long, take care of yourself. No, you don't have to use protection. They say to wait a cycle until you've had af again to start trying but that's just because the next cycle can be a bit crazy so it makes if difficult to date the pg if you do get bfp again but medically other than that theres no reason. Put of interest how did the Dr know what was happening if you hadn't started bleeding yet?

BusyNothings · 21/08/2016 18:28

Hi all! I'm back after an awful few days. Had a quick read through and I see lots of AF, the evil flashy/static smiley face has struck again in an unpredictable manner and a few newbies!

I got the confirmation from the doc last Wednesday that I'd had a mc/cp I don't know what it's classed as. Bleeding started on Friday as I was driving 400 miles to my brothers wedding. Had awful pain and just horribleness. This then continued all yesterday as I was a bridesmaid and been in huge amounts of pain and hormones everywhere. Was generally an awful weekend (besides my brother getting married, I did manage to enjoy a few minutes lol). I'm now home and tucked up with a hot water bottle feeling more human and hormones and emotions calming down a bit. Does anyone know if we have to use protection for the first month afterwards or not? I really don't like condoms and neither does dh but will deal with them if we must.

So enough about me where's everyone up to? How you all getting on?

MoonlightMojitos · 21/08/2016 13:32

Oh that's interesting, didn't know they could tell ovulation from a scan! With me they couldn't see anything at the scan so thought I'd probably miscarried fully already but did 2 repeat blood tests to check hcg levels were falling normally. After those showed they were dropping they told me to poas 3 weeks later and check negative otherwise come back but I did one 7 days later and it was negative already. Thanks :) fx for you too!

CinnamonTwist · 21/08/2016 13:03

Ovia has my fw as 1-8th, however it does keep moving it when I tell it af still hasn't arrived! I'm now on day 33. She said at my scan that they would want to see my lining under 15mm to confirm the MC had completed, and that mine was at 3 so it definitely had. I know when my sister had a scare in her pregnancy, and they thought it could be ectopic, they scanned her and checked her ovaries to confirm which one she had ovulated from, so it could be that they were looking at for you? I was half expecting them to check the same for me at the first scan I had, but as soon as they saw the baby and heartbeat they were happy and stopped the scan. The second one as I knew I had miscarried I was only concerned about whether I would need anything removed or not, so I was just glad to know it had completed properly. I didn't think to ask about checking hcg levels after, and she didn't mention it. Just got to be patient I suppose! Hope your ttc is going well this time, fx for a sticky one for both of us (and everyone else here) quickly Smile

MoonlightMojitos · 21/08/2016 12:21

Aw, I know exactly how you feel, it's so crappy waiting. And never thought I'd want af to rear her ugly head! Fx it's soon for you. That's interesting that they told you your lining size, they didn't tell me anything at all. She seemed very interested in my left ovary and took quite a few pics whilst getting me to press down on it but then nothing was mentioned about it after so I'm hoping that she was trying to get a better view or something? Surely they would have told me if something was off about it? How long ago did you ov/was fertile window?

CinnamonTwist · 21/08/2016 12:16

I poas the day of my second scan, to prepare myself better for the inevitable, and it was an extremely faint line, on a 10miu stick, so I'm pretty sure any remaining hcg left my system soon after that, my lining had gone back to 3mm at the scan as well. There is the outside chance I could be preg as we only avoided my fw and the days around it (partly by choice, partly by chance), and didn't actually use any prevention methods the rest of the time, as I object to having to use condoms when we do actually want a baby! But I did a test and it was negative. If it doesn't show up soon I'll do another one to be sure. Just want this cycle over so we can start again now!

OP posts:
MoonlightMojitos · 21/08/2016 09:22

Hi cinnamon my cycle was only 26 days so really short which was a suprise. From what I've heard it can be really variable but I think it tends to be longer if anything so don't worry. I think it depends on how long it takes for the hcg to get out your system as this stops you ovulating or getting af. Mine was really low already when I started bleeding and I got a BFN a week later. I hope it comes soon for you, that cycle felt like ages being in limbo. There is someone on one of my other threads who had mc 6 weeks ago and af hasn't come yet. Did you poas and know when you got bfn? And is there any change you could already be pg again?

CinnamonTwist · 20/08/2016 18:50

moonlight/jj or anyone else who has had a mc, did your cycle go back into a regular timings first month after your MC? My AF is 3 days late HmmAngry (by calculating from the mc, so not massively reliable) just want it to come so we can start again!

OP posts:
Eva30 · 20/08/2016 11:37

How strange pjs. Although when it's a broken line it means it's not quite sure, a solid red line means it's more accurate. I'd go off your opks too.
I'm cd4 now, AF only lasted 3 days so just waiting for FW now, will start using the monitor on cd10.

Pyjamas81 · 20/08/2016 09:59

And yep - dtd last night, but drunken, but it still counts ha ha. Going to dtd again today and day after tomorrow for good measure Smile

Pyjamas81 · 20/08/2016 09:21

I don't think it's right either mojito - and I've had a week of terrible broken sleep so not sure my temps are accurate! Just think it's strange that I put my peak results into fertility friend but it's still saying I may have ov'd before that!I'm going to go by the opks and assume I ovulated yesterday. I don't think we've dtd enough as basically missed bulk of FW, but you never know.

Next cycle - will just start dtd every other day soon as AF has left the building! Exhausted just thinking about it...

MoonlightMojitos · 20/08/2016 09:08

How long are you going to wait before doing a test if af doesn't show difficult?

pj no I don't think that can be right? I'd go by the opks :) you cant deny that result! Hope you managed to get some dtd in last night!

Pyjamas81 · 20/08/2016 06:52

How annoying for you difficult, hope AF stays away.

My digi OPK doesn't allow you to test after getting a static smiley mojito, but I did a cheapie one and it was an almost positive line. Fertility friend is confusing me as it's saying I maybe ovulated before I even got my peak result which doesn't make sense to me! If that's the case, we totally missed our chance this month, but I don't see how I could have ovulated then!
