Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Keeping fingers crossed pj

Pyjamas81 · 20/07/2016 18:49

Bums - just did a cheapie test and line is much fainter than yesterday (pic below). So am thinking chances of a static smiley any time soon are slim to none and I skipped ovulating this month! Ah well, no harm in dtd anyway just in case but hopes aren't high for testing day in a couple of weeks!

BusyNothings · 20/07/2016 13:54

That's really frustrating pj just keep going it'll turn up!

I'm on cd 10 now so hoping it all falls into place in the next week or so!

Pyjamas81 · 20/07/2016 13:23

You're so lucky Eva! Really annoying not knowing! But as you say, shall persevere! So annoying as def ovulated last month but didn't manage to dtd, this month we've given it a proper go but stupid body is not co-operating! Fingers crossed for your FW - hope the heat wave calms down a bit for you Smile

Eva30 · 20/07/2016 11:45

pyjamas I'd persevere too. I came off the pill in April and was lucky to go straight back to having regular AF visits. 30 day cycles, ov on day 15. The +ve ov test could be the next one!
I'm on cd5, FF says FW starts cd12 so I'm just waiting (again).

Pyjamas81 · 20/07/2016 10:15

Hi Eva - yep, very irritating!! I'm using the cheapie version as well just to check the digi isn't faulty - there is a line (see below) which has been pretty constant over last few days, but def not as strong as the control line.

No idea when I usually ovulate - am only on second cycle after coming off birth control so your guess is as good as mine! I got a static smiley on CD10 last month and I'm now on CD15. Bah!

pyjamas how frustrating! I've only just bought one, not used it yet but I'll be throwing it out of the window if it does that! It says on the leaflet stop testing if you get 9 flashing smileys in a row but I'd do the same as you just to check you're not ovulating later in the cycle. What cd are you on and what cd do you usually reckon you ov on?

Pyjamas81 · 20/07/2016 07:51

Day 8 of freaking sodding flashing smiley face! Maybe I just didn't ovulate this month Sad Ovia re-did it's sums based on data I've been putting in and its telling me I'm now out of fertile window (was previously until Friday) which I don't understand as I've been putting in my high fertility OPK results. Am going to keep testing as I may just be ovulating later in the cycle than predicted. It's enough to drive you batshit, this working out cycles business!

BusyNothings · 20/07/2016 00:00

Lol you are definitely allowed a couple of bitch sessions about the weather. I'm a spring girl myself. Pretty flowers coming out. Cool bracing breezes. Rain showers but just a glimpse of blue sky and it's warm in the sunshine. Other than that in winter I'm frozen and in summer I'm freezing my hot water bottle and a hot sweaty mess lol.

Day 7 that is frustrating. I'll keep fingers crossed for you tomorrow!

Pyjamas81 · 19/07/2016 23:42

Fingers crossed it cools down in time for you! I can't recommend dtd in this weather! I don't moan once about the weather in winter while everyone else does, so I'm allowing myself a whinge or three at the moment ha ha.

Hope I get a static smiley face tomorrow on OPK - today was day 7 of flashing smiley face, very frustrating!

BusyNothings · 19/07/2016 23:36

My dh is Amsterdam but he's still toobloody close. So hot. So sticky. So horrible. Serious admiration for you pj well done lol! My fw is supposed to be next week. We shall see if it is I hope it's bloody cold.

I'm not exactly a winter girl but I hate hot weather.

Pyjamas81 · 19/07/2016 23:18

Omg I was literally just about to say the same thing! Trust there to be a damn heatwave during my FW! I'm a total summer Scrooge as well, I've always been a Winter girl. But, we've got on with it, just made it quick! Oh the romance ha ha

BusyNothings · 19/07/2016 22:48

Anybody else think this month is out for ttc because it's just too damned hot to dtd?!

Jjspoon · 18/07/2016 22:42

Thanks girls, you're all a lovely bunch :). Onwards and upwards.

Eva30 · 18/07/2016 19:34

I'm so sorry jj FlowersFlowersxx

CinnamonTwist · 18/07/2016 14:36

Sorry to hear that jj, there won't be anything you could have done to stop it, sometimes it's just not a viable pregnancy. I know that doesn't make it any less upsetting though. I hope your DP is supportive and you have family/ friends to take care of you. Look after yourself and fx for a sticky one in the future for you FlowersFlowers

Pyjamas81 · 18/07/2016 14:07

I'm so sorry jj - lots of ChocolateFlowers for you. Make sure you take care of yourself xx

BusyNothings · 18/07/2016 14:03

jj I'm really sorry lots more un-mumsnetty hugs and lots of FlowersChocolate for you x

That's good keep telling yourself that it's not over. Let yourself wallow for a day or two if you need to and then pick yourself up and know that you can keep going.

Jjspoon · 18/07/2016 13:50

They couldn't find anything on the scan so I had a blood test and need to go back for another one on weds to make sure hormone levels are dropping. They said it's probably a miscarriage and everything is gone already but need to be sure levels do drop incase it's ectopic as they couldn't find anything:(.

I knew what they were going to say so just telling myself it wasn't meant to be and just have to try again now.

CinnamonTwist · 18/07/2016 13:47

When is your appt jj? I hope it goes ok Flowers

I also had a bleed last night, spotted it just before I went to bed, cried my eyes out thinking the worst and slept really badly. It had stopped this morning but I rang the Drs anyway and they booked me in for a scan, which I have just got back from. Pregnancy is still there, in the right place (whatever that means?) and she could see a heartbeat. She was careful to point out that it was just a snapshot today and that bleeding could be nothing or could be an early sign that I will miscarry, but I feel so much better knowing that there's a heartbeat. It measured a week behind where I thought I was, pushing my due date out to 14th March

OP posts:
Eva30 · 17/07/2016 20:01

sorry jj for the bleed, will have everything crossed for you tomorrow that all is ok xx

BusyNothings · 17/07/2016 18:30

We'll be thinking of you jj whether you need tea and sympathy or someone to let lose on or whatever it is you need we are here Flowers

Jjspoon · 17/07/2016 17:59

Thanks guys, I'll let you know how it goes. I'd feel more positive if I had symptoms still and the test was strong but unfortunately I just don't think it's looking good. I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Pyjamas81 · 17/07/2016 17:00

Oh jj I'm so sorry you're going through this SadNot to get hopes up too much but it may all not be lost - my mum had a lot of bleeding when she was pg with me. I've got my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow - if it is as you fear, big hugs to you.

Busy - Ovia said that my FW started yesterday but I started getting 'high' readings on Clearblue digi test last Wednesday, so who knows! That's why I started testing - at the end of the day Ovia is an app which is unconnected to me, the tests tell me what is actually happening in my body! Not giving Ovia too much of a hard time though, my cycles have been a bit nuts, so impossible for the fertility robots to predict anything!

BusyNothings · 17/07/2016 14:49

Nothing can make you feel better at the minute but I really hope things go well for you. A friend of mine had horrific bleeding and everyone was sure it was a mc but it was just that a bleed and she ended up carrying to term. Don't want to get hopes up but try and stay calm listen to your midwife and we'll be rooting for you x
