Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Ha ha thanks ladies! It does sound tough though, and painfulShock

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 17:50

Definitely happy to share a few cup sizes! Painful and expensive. I can't wear cheap bras I just end up in agony it's pathetic. I've been looking at pregnancy bras to get an idea of budgets and they look so much comfier!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 17:42

pyjamas how about a boob share? You can have a few cup sizes from me? And I won't hit my boobs on everything and have to buy industrial expensive bras! :D

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 17:32

Getting serious boob envy over here - I'm an A cup! I wear bras purely to make it look like there's something, anything, there hahaha

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 17:27

Oh I'm a G cup so I know nothing comes cheap! I just wear things that don't fit, ha! I have the biggest stretchy sports bra primark do and a couple of bandeau bras that are more cotton (can't flipping find any more now!) but stretchy again in the biggest size they do from asda and that makes things just about tolerable. I'm aware once pregnant I'm going to have to spend decent money on bras so I'm making the most of being able to get away with such cheapo measures lol, i get sale and summer's bras normally or squidge into smaller primark bras (I know, it's not ideal!)

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 17:04

Ah yes then it's pretty close to being a positive!

I know what you mean about the boobs being too painful to even touch. Trying to dtd is a nightmare. I'm seriously considering investing in a sleep bra because they hurt so much. But being ahem chesty lol they aren't cheap!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:47

pyjamas yes it looks like one! why make them so similar?! Bizarre... Thanks for the input! Hard with nothing to compare to, had a scroll back on here and thought it looks pretty near positive

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:45

busy the boob and nipple pain before I got af last cycle was hellish, i was sleeping in a stretchy sports bra as even turning over/touching them was waking me up! They felt injured! Horrible, hope it goes for you soon..

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:44

Ah right it's an OPK - thought we were looking at a pregnancy test there for a second! See? Not a pro at all ha ha. The one on the left looks a bit lighter to me - but I think you're close!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 16:36

Haha! The cross on the left is meant to be as dark as the one on the right for positive, superdrug meant to be £10something but this kit is being discontinued so £2.50 for the 5 instead, while I wait for Internet cheapie opks to turn up!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:05

*say

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 16:05

What do the instructions day a positive test looks like? I see two crosses!

I'm about as far from a pro as you can get hahahahahaha

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 15:55

Is it meant to be two crosses? That's what I can see!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 15:30

It actually looks darker IRL typically... Stupid photos!

Piehunter · 31/07/2016 15:29

Hi all, jumping in here :) I'm 24, came off cerazette last month and currently cd8.. Ordered opks the other day but went to superdrug as had a feeling and I wanted to test today! Looks borderline to me? You lot look like pros now in here ;) so thought I'd share and see what you think?

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 15:26

Today's OPK a definite negative. And boobs feel like they are trying to make me cry. Ouch. =[

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 14:10

Lol at least you can recognise the moody AF symptoms. I only tend to notice after the fact!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 12:47

I've got none of the moody AF symptoms (for now) - so am at least enjoying that! Yep - have got two FRERs and two CB digitals ready Grin

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 12:47

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 12:28

You never know though. Think positive! Have you got some tests in ready? I know someone was having a giggle at your expense with that bloody shift.

I'm the same with temps. Something to do and distract me looking at them but I think it's far from an exact science!

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 12:15

I think 10dpo is when people normally start testing - let's face it I probably will then too even though I really want to wait and avoid having to squint at lines! I am mentally preparing for AF this week though - getting knocked up at first proper try (at 35) would be lucky!

Lol at dtd during heatwave - not going to lie, didn't enjoy it that much as a I hate hate hate heat and even more annoying that I ovulated late so FW then moved out of the heatwave time to later anyway so had to panic dtd on last two days of FW or would have ended up missing the entire week! Typical lol

I'm hopeless at reading temps - I basically only do them for something to do ha ha. But definitely keep testing, who knows when ovulating might strike esp with uncertainty around cycle length!

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 11:57

Is 10dpo usually the absolutely earliest it could show up? I really hope it's worked for you this month. You deserve it after dtd in all that heat lol!

That was day 9 of testing, today is day 11 but yesterday's was a lot lighter. Will keep testing until AF turns up though, you never know. Had a huge temp rise today, almost a full degree from 35.4 to 36.38! Not sure if it means anything but I'm pretty sure I'm getting geared up for AF.

Pyjamas81 · 31/07/2016 11:48

Could be that you're ovulating late this month busy! When was that test taken?

If AF arrives on Tuesday then it would be a 27 day cycle, but yes, I ovulated late so Saturday would be 12dpo. Tuesday will be 8dpo so probs too early to start testing. I'm almost fine with not testing as I'm a bit scared to be honest! Still veer from excited to totally terrified about the whole thing! It's going to be a loooong week if AF doesn't arrive on Tues Confused But, I've only had a 22 and a 32 day cycle, so not expecting it to show on time this month!

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 11:34

Sorry forgot to post pic! I'm still doing opks but period is due next Monday and already have ridiculously painful and swollen boobs. Low cramps and a few other bits which I got last month.

BusyNothings · 31/07/2016 11:33

Yay eva! Enjoy your holiday Wink

I don't know if I've ovulated this month really. Maybe I didn't because it was the first month? Or it was really early? The darkest line I got was this one - think when AF arrives I shall be ordering the clear blue one for next month and go from there.

As for temping when we had the heatwave the other week I played around with my temps and they were the same so it must work.

pj eek good luck so Tuesday would be a 28day cycle? But because you ovulated late it would be Saturday? God I think I'd be poas every day and going insane! Make sure you don't go insane though lol come talk to us ladies!
