Thought I would create a fresh thread as the original had been going since Feb. This is for anyone TTC #1, a bit of moral support as we all attempt to embark on the scary journey that is parenthood! Join us if you are a mix of terrified and excited, don't really know what you're doing yet and hadn't heard of CM before you started reading Mumsnet!!

Sorry you're still getting BFNs pj that's so strange and with that opk!!!, how long was your lp last cycle? Fx for tomorrow for you.

eva yours are looking ok at least staying higher how long do you think youll hold out to test?

busy I'd say yours are looking good too! Did you opk? Sorry I can't keep up with what everyone is doing! Looks like you definitely dtd around poss ov dates anyway, don't worry about how often so fx for you! You only need to do it once for it to happen!

Cd24 and I should be 8dpo (if I did ovulate) but not convinced I did. Tmi but ive had a really high sex drive last few days, which I had around ovulation last 2 cycles, so wondering if maybe this might be a longer crazy cycle and maybe ov hasn't happened. Eurgh just can't wait for this cycle to hurry up!

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 19:46

Ha ha Eva don't beat yourself up too much! This TTC lark is enough to drive anyone cray cray Confused

Do you think that's a positive OPK test then? Hard to tell as one part of the test line is as strong as the control line but the rest isn't! Fx it's a good sign but am jumping on DH regardless just in case am randomly ovulating! This is so damn confusing lol.

Ha ha - am in my pj's too Smile Waiting for Eastenders to come on!

Eva30 · 08/08/2016 19:38

I know, I know, just keep telling myself I'm being ridiculous and nothing will be picked up at 7dpo!
Wow pyjamas that's so strong too, how random!! Fx it's a good sign and the other test was just a bit early. I know first cycles can be a bit crazy while your body figures out what's going on but that doesn't explain the +OPK!
Sorry for the bfn busy
I've been so bloated today, I need to invest in some fat pants for days like today! I'm already cosy in bed watching Corrie in my pj's after a crappy day at work!Grin

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 19:37

Very odd indeed busy! I feel like my first cycle of properly trying is being particularly cruel!

I'm working from home tomorrow, so getting a positive FRER then would be most convenient lol

BusyNothings · 08/08/2016 19:32

That's crazy pj but I have heard it can pick up early pregnancy hormone? Very odd!

I'm pretty sure this month was a no, not one positive OPK and nowhere near enough dtd.

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 19:30

I read that too piehunter re opks picking up pregnancy! Will hold out doing another FRER until tomorrow. Knowing my luck though, I just didn't ovulate last month!

Piehunter · 08/08/2016 19:27

Oh I just see that you did... Sorry! My brain is a sieve..

Piehunter · 08/08/2016 19:26

pyjamas worth doing another hpt in case the opk is picking hcg up?! Either that or carazzyy cycles...

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 19:16

Ah busy - sorry about the bfn, but you're not out yet! And you're not weak, we're all the same!

I'm feeling pretty frustrated - not even a hint of AF being on the way. I've been doing opks in case I missed ovulation last month and I'm worried about missing this month's due to waiting for AF. I got the result below just now - WTF.

First time TTC - thread 2
BusyNothings · 08/08/2016 19:11

I did one. I'm weak. Bfn as predicted. But I've been gutting the house all day and if I remember rightly doing heavy lifting and running around used to bring my period on if I was due and so far nada.

Thanks eva I've no idea about ovulation besides what the OPK says! I am starting to learn about temps but it still confuses me. 7dpo that's really early lol you must resist!

Cd35 that's one hell of a cycle pj how you feeling? Any symptoms for AF or anything?

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 18:13

I'd say wait a bit as well busy - esp if a bfn would get you down. At least your temps are looking like they make sense - mine have a mind of their own!

Ha ha stay strong Eva!

No AF for me yet - am I really going to hit CD35?!

Eva30 · 08/08/2016 17:35

busy even though you didn't get +OPK based on your temps it looks like you ov around 28th/29th don't you think? I'd say wait, especially if a bfn would disappoint. But I know if I was in your shoes I'd test haha, I'm tempted to test at 7dpo how ridiculous is that. I will not test.. I will not test...

BusyNothings · 08/08/2016 10:40

Ok. Ovia is telling me to take a test but I don't think I want to. Plus missed my fmu. Looking at my temps would you ladies bother? I know even though I'm trying to be realistic a bfn would get me down a bit!

BusyNothings · 08/08/2016 10:37

I think my dh would be appalled if I told him to take vitamins. trying to get him to eat green things is harder than getting a kid too!

Sucks about bfn pj I hope it makes sense soon.

eva they aren't looking bad don't count yourself out yet!

Well my AF is due today but as of yet no cramps etc which I normally get really badly for days. Think it's safe to say from my temps that it's coming though!

marmitecheesetoast · 08/08/2016 08:20

Boo to limbo pyjamas!! Hope you get clarity soon.

eve it turned out to be such a gorgeous day on Saturday here that I asked my friend if she fancied coming round for lunch in the garden instead which she did. It's much easier to avoid boozing during the day! So the weather worked in my favour Grin

I didn't bother with any of the fancy multivits either, stuck to the folic acid. Had DH on Zinc too.

Pyjamas81 · 08/08/2016 07:08

Temps are still comfortably above baseline Eva! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Another BFN this morning and still no AF - the limbo continues. I've attached my fertility friend chart below - no ovulation detected, but I think it could be because I stupidly forgot to take my temp the day after I got a peak smiley!

First time TTC - thread 2
Eva30 · 08/08/2016 06:16

Forgot to attach chart (Monday morning still half asleep)

Eva30 · 08/08/2016 06:14

marmite that's funny about wine and cheese night, how did it go?
7dpo here and just waiting to see what temps do this month and willing them to stay upBlush they're not looking too promising so far.
Stopped taking pregnacare and back on normal folic acid, feel lots better for it. Think they try to cram too many vitamins in those tablets.

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 18:57

I know, crazy!!

In a moment of continued madness obsession - I put in all my data into fertility friend to see how it compares to Ovia. Well FF says it hasn't detected ovulation at all for this month as I didn't get three consecutive temp rises after peak OPK day or something. Which would explain the no AF yet I suppose Confused but then it did pinpoint ov last month and I didn't get three rises then either!

Whatever - I'm clearly malfunctioning. I'm off to the pub with DH for a pint or two.

Ha re your stitch busy - I got that earlier and then realised it was probably because I was on a sodding treadmill Blush

BusyNothings · 07/08/2016 18:42

Yeah the early tests are pretty new. It used to be 4 weeks my mum was telling me! Can you imagine? Period two weeks late but still can't confirm besides a blood test?!

I had a bit of a cramp earlier localised on my left but I was power walking so could have been a confused stitch lol

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 15:55

Ha ha - nice one DH! You never know though!

Thanks busy - I've got my fingers crossed too but trying to remain grounded. I'm still getting the odd pang here and there but no cramps, so I'm ignoring it. Just chatted about it with my mum - she seems to think I'm testing too early!

BusyNothings · 07/08/2016 14:43

Youre telling me. I swear my boobs are different. Even dh thinks they are weird and hard. Lovely confidence building moment for me there!

Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. And if all else fails then at least you got some good practice and stamina for this month coming!

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 14:31

It's really really good - so refreshing Smile And made up for the other night's pointless mocktail/smoothie ha ha

Yep - carrying on testing until AF shows. No idea what's going on, but POAS makes me feel like I'm at least doing something! It really does suck. If AF shows, I am NOT symptom spotting next month - the mind is full of cruel trickery :-/

BusyNothings · 07/08/2016 14:22

You still testing? Or waiting a few days? Sorry it's not going straight forward for you. It really sucks.

Oooh that sounds good I need to take my mum to m&s for some tights. Might stop and try that.

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 14:11

Hi busy! Glad you enjoyed the play! And nothing wrong with a few too many on occasion Wink I found the best drink ever yesterday - M&S now do mint and cucumber gin and tonics in a can!

I think I need to give up trying to work it out - nothing is making sense. No sign of AF even being on her way today. Bah!
