So the fertile week has begun today. DH is off on business until Friday night and then we're staying with friends on Saturday night. It's looking highly unlikely it'll happen this month.

It's funny. When we first agreed we'd "give it a go" as my wordsmith of a husband put it, we weren't really that bothered if it happened quickly or not. Now that the first fertile window is open we're desperate to jump on each other. We caved and bought a clear blue ovulation testing kit for next month. Husband was all over it last night. He's mind has been blown by it all. Who'd of thunk getting pregnant could be so scientific and interesting.

I guess we've gone from relaxed and taking it easy to - let's make a baby... NOW!

Sienna9522 · 31/05/2016 17:47

Lelly, I was the same. Really stressed myself out the first cycle with OPK's so didn't use them the second cycle. This cycle I wasn't planning to use them either, but bought them on a whim as I realised that with both mine and DP's working patterns at the moment we may not get the opportunity to DTD as much as we'd like to make sure we'd covered ourselves. The OPK's helped us pinpoint the most effective days to DTD.

I'm just about to enter the dreaded TTW, eeek! AF is due on June 14th but could be a bit earlier as I think I ovulated a bit earlier. Good luck to both of us Grin x

Lelly0503 · 31/05/2016 15:57

Thanks sienna, this is cycle 3 for me too. I didn't want to do ov tests this month but I randomly did one on Saturday just gone, it had a faint line and as It was near the end of my fertile week il guess I had already ovulated by then which was when we were dtd'ing xx

Sienna9522 · 31/05/2016 15:36

Aw Sorry Rausten, I'm also on Cycle 3. Fx for both of us this cycle Smile

Lelly, don't worry. Sounds like you definitely got it covered.

Lelly0503 · 31/05/2016 13:40

I'm now in my TWW. AF is due around 10th June. I think I ovulated Sunday 22nd judging by the CM I had. I could be anything between 4dpo and 9dpo. Not one sniff of a symptom yet but I know it's early on, gna try not to think about it, we move into our house this week which will be a huge distraction. We managed to Dtd 5 times, we did it 3 days in a row then twice spaced out over 4 days which does worry me a bit. Fingers crossed and good luck to everyone else xx

TryingToStayRational · 31/05/2016 10:28

Sorry Rausten, blimmin AF! Fx for next cycle Flowers

rausten · 31/05/2016 10:20

Thanks girls! Onwards and upwards xx

Eva30 · 31/05/2016 09:24

Thanks tryingtostayrational, rausten and sienna you made me feel better last night. I got the positive OPK this morning while has put me in a very good mood for a Tuesday following the bank holiday, and the sun's out in Manchester for a treat!
rausten I'm sorry about AF, that witch.

ButtonTum · 31/05/2016 08:25

Sorry to hear that rausten

rausten · 31/05/2016 05:49

So AF got me in the night. sad] onto cycle 3. Oh well

wispaxmas · 30/05/2016 22:35

rausten, I felt the same in terms of temping putting my mind at ease!

I was due 2 days ago (ish) I'm not exactly clockwork.
With regard to "too early" i recommend the clear blue dual hormone digital opk's they give you a much wider window. I also do my temp over the period just after that to pin point exactly when I ovulate. I find doing this just puts my mind st ease that I knew exactly when it happens lol.
Also with planning stuff (and As you can see I am the over planner lol) DC will happen in it's own time. It took me 5 months last time and I'm hoping for 4 cycles or less this time.
Trying my best to stay calm lol

Sienna9522 · 30/05/2016 20:29

Don't worry Eva, this month I had a positive OPK on CD13 but previous months I didn't get one until CD15. It varies for me, how long is your average cycle?

Tryingtostayrational, that's what I'm hoping but I have been checking my cervix. When I was a lot younger I used to get loads of noticeable EWCM and never really knew what it was because I wasn't TTC. If only that was the case now.

SophieBear13 · 30/05/2016 20:27

Oh god now my problem seems very insignificant! DH is not too disappointed and is very enthusiastic about trying again this month haha. We DTD twice last cycle during FW but I think it may have been too earlier! Who knows?! I'm trying to think that it must not have happened for a reason and there is such a small percentage every month. When is your period due?

rausten · 30/05/2016 20:13

That would have been lovely! Sounds like DD i was all set for a calm water hypno birth etc and ended up with epidural and every wire possible attached to me, beautiful idea but DC always has a better idea lol. I tested 11dpo and this morning both BFN but I'm not out till af comes aahhhhhh xx

SophieBear13 · 30/05/2016 19:58

When are you planning to test?? FX for you! I am waiting for AF to be over so we can start month 2. I was gutted when it was a BFN this month as it would have been a honeymoon baby and I thought that would have been really nice as it's probably not somewhere we will be going back to for a few years.

rausten · 30/05/2016 19:50

Hi sophie i got back pain last cycle and within an hour Af arrived and it continued. When my back pain artived earlier my hesrt sank ad I thought thats it I'm out! But 8hrs later, back pain has gone and still no sign. 13 dpo here so it's driving me mad!!!! X

SophieBear13 · 30/05/2016 19:06

rausten I always get bad back pain before AF starts, to the point where it hurts to lie down etc and then it tends to go away on the 2nd day of my period. If it's not normal for you for it to come then go away that sounds really positive! How many dpo are you?

rausten · 30/05/2016 18:12

eva i didn't get a positive opk til cd16 so don't stress too much.
I now have a question. Last cycle (as it's the pnly one I can mention as before I was on the coil) i had quite bad lower back pain and then within an hour AF turned up. I got this back pain once again today around midday but nothing so far. Really think she is on her way but my body is torturing me with the uncertainty. Any advice??? Xx

TryingToStayRational · 30/05/2016 18:10

Awww don't worry, Sienna - you might have had some and not even noticed, I wouldn't read too much into it, and positive Opks are a good sign.

Eva stress can sometimes delay ovulation a bit - I ovulated about day 16 last cycle when it normally would be 13 or 14. On reflection I was worrying way too much about ttc, it was my first thought every morning and was temping etc. This cycle I was much more relaxed and ovulated earlier. So try not to worry, it will probably happen very soon, and even if you doesn't it is completely normal to have the occasional anovulatory cycle. Good look with your move, hope you're soon unpacked and settled :-)

Eva30 · 30/05/2016 15:54

sienna I'm the same, but haven't had any EWCM or positive OPKs and I'm on CD13, hope the stress of the house move hasn't stopped ov :(

Sienna9522 · 30/05/2016 13:46

Slightly worried that I haven't had any EWCM this cycle, but 2 positive OPK's. Hope this doesn't affect anything, been googling like mad Sad

TryingToStayRational · 29/05/2016 17:00

Sorry to all those AF has got. I will probably be joining you in a few days.

8dpo and I am totally symptom spotting. Sorry this is TMI but I have had diarrhoea for about 24 hours (had to get up in the night a couple of times) but no sickness and apart from feeling tired (probably due to not getting a great sleep!) I'm ok. This is totally unlike me and I ate the same as my DP who is fine, so of course I convinced myself this could be a symptom. Have had to have the "step away from the Google now!" chat with myself. That way madness lies!

All the best to all tww-ers, hope you can stay sane better than me!

rausten · 29/05/2016 12:16

No I always have my bum in the air after like a crazy person lol xx

AlexiaB · 29/05/2016 12:05

Thank you Eva. That gave me a laugh, baby dust to you! Xx
