Hi everyone. I have had really weird cycles lately and I think I'm ovulating on cd20-32 so ovulation tests are a must for me. I seem to be getting a LOT of nearly positives and then they will go again but today is CD21 and I think it's a positive. I just wanted some other opinions... This is so confusing Confused

Well it was a bfn. Dh doesn't know I'm testing without him and he has said he wants me to test Saturday if no af. Think I'll just keep my bfn's to myself for now!

Have you thought about seeing a GP for the erratic cycles? It seems to vary quite a lot!

At least you got two go's, with ED that must be difficult for you. I can imagine it's frustrating.

Princessnthepea86 · 18/06/2016 12:03

Oh no! That's so sad that he was upset, hopefully he forgot about it quickly. Oh let me know how you get on, I really hope you get a BFP what a great fathers days gift! I wouldn't worry if it's negative though. I have never had a positive test before 11dpo that's why I don't use expensive tests until then. I have to admit I do love my cheap internet tests just as something to pee on to stop the urge of using a first response haha!

That's very lucky that you managed to get a later date! Whenever I'm referred to the hospital it's a job to get referred the first time let alone twice! Lol maybe this is your lucky month! Haha.

Its always good to be optimistic! I'm more optimistic this month than last just because it's been my only positive ovulation test so far and it lasted 2 days. I feel pretty confident I did at least ovulate but we only managed to dtd the 2 days before the ovulation test and the day of because of my husbands ED but I'm hoping it might have been enough anyway! My weird cycles are all over the place... Sometimes 28 days and other times it's been 50 days or so but judging by when I ovulate it looks like I usually only have a 10 day LP which I think it's the minimum it needs to be so I hope if I have caught it then it's an early implanter lol!

The only early pregnancy symptom I have had with all of my kids was the need to pee every 45 mins consistently from the day before I would test positive on a pregnancy test! I have never had IB. My son I thought I was coming on because I had cramps to but nothing else so I don't really go by symptoms.

Excited to hear your news! Hope you get your bfp tomorrow xx

Oh reading back you've had more pregnancies than just the one! Hopefully you can tell me that they were all different with symptoms and I don't have to remember back to DS to predict exactly lol?! Because then if I don't get cramps at 11dpo I'll be convinced I'm out.

LillyBugg · 18/06/2016 06:33

Ha ha I love that as it was 11.30 that makes it 4dpo! Yes I'm 8dpo now, I might do a test tomorrow morning as its Father's Day. But it is still early so need to not worry too much! I do feel really optimistic, but then that makes me worry that I will take it quite hard this month if we haven't been successful.

I get the blood results on thursday, I couldn't get a sooner appointment because of work unfortunately. My son cried his heart out when they took the blood :( I didn't think he would understand but he hated it and even kept picking at the plaster to get rid of it.

Weirdly I got a second scan appointment through as they referred me twice by accident. So I called and asked to keep the later appointment to avoid the ick factor. Means I have to wait longer for the scan but I think I would rather that.

It's way too early for you to have symptoms so don't count yourself out yet! Did you have them with your DD? I just had cramps at about 11dpo with DS, I was convinced I was going to come on. Then got a bfp. I haven't really been thinking it will be the same this time, as I used to be 28 days every month without fail. Now I fluctuate between 24-28 days, on average about 25. So I figure it won't be the same as last time.

Princessnthepea86 · 17/06/2016 23:34

Hi Lillybug! I was wondering if you have heard anything back about your blood test? Your 8dpo now? Have you decided when you will be taking a test. I'm 3dpo (but it's 11.30pm so nearly 4dpo) for me and I'm already itching for to test but I'm waiting until 11dpo with a first response. Like last month I have to admit I'm not feeling like it's going to be a bfp but maybe I'm trying to keep myself grounded? I wouldn't have symptoms yet anyway but they say an indication you have ovulated is tender breasts in the sides... However I'm not having that. I think that's the main thing making me feel like I'm out. Anyway hope all is well! Smile

That's what the doctor said when I went about 4 months after having her... He said it wasn't back to normal or it could be stress (I get horrible anxiety). My sister has pcos and has 2 kids but has been trying for her last for nearly 4 years and still no luck... Since my little girl I seem to have very similar symptoms as her so although I'm not 100% I think I have got it. I have been trying now this will be my 11th cycle so nearly a year. I have had 3 girls and one stillborn son (he was actually my third, I had my last little girl since) so if I can't have anymore then I would be sad but it would be ok, I could accept it and it makes trying easier to be honest.

I would say you have ovulated based on your opk, I would be shocked if you haven't! Oh you have to love taking the kids to appointments! The bribes come out 'if your good mummy will buy you a treat' haha! Oh I had no idea they could scan you when you are on your period! Wow that does seem a bit yuk. Well messy anyway. Hmmm... I think I would feel the same as you. It's probably the one time when TTC that you would WANT to be early or late 😂. It's great news though hopefully by the beginning of next month you will be pregnant or have some answers!

OP posts:
LillyBugg · 13/06/2016 19:46

Oh I see. Sounds like your cycle might not be back to normal after having her then. A friend of mine has pcos but to be honest I don't know much about it. She keeps saying she will see a GP as they've been trying over a year but I'm not sure that she's been yet.

Yes the bloods are to see if I ovulated or not. I'm hoping on the basis of that opk that it's a yes! Last cycle I didn't get a clear positive and I think that's why they wanted to run the tests. I have to take my little boy with me, I'm hoping he will be okay about it! Then I've got a scan booked in on the 26th June. It's an internal one :( the paperwork says they will still scan even if you're on your period, which I will be if I'm not pregnant this cycle. I want the scan but ick!

Princessnthepea86 · 13/06/2016 19:16

Oh I had that blood test before, it's to see if your ovulating isn't it? Well you should have for sure now that you have had a positive opk. I hate googling things also but just typed it in and couldn't find anything for it?! Heavy painful periods could be a sign of endometriosis and a few other things but it don't say anything bad! I'm stumped as much as you. Since having my little girl 11 months ago I have had very few proper periods.. More just spotting. I really believe I have pcos for many reasons.

LillyBugg · 13/06/2016 18:26

Hi princess! That's a good line! When the tests are in the house it's hard to resist isn't it? According to my opk I'm now 3dpo. And I've got a 21 day blood test tomorrow which should be done at 7dpo. Ah well. Hopefully it will be ok.

I'm on cycle 7, will be dc2 for me as I already have DS who is 21mo.

Have you googled the spitting cycle? I'm not always brave enough to google lol. It's never happened to me before though, was wondering if you knew why it might be happening. My periods are always pretty heavy and painful :(

Princessnthepea86 · 13/06/2016 12:00

I'm still here!! I must have missed the updates! Sorry yes AF came and it was just a weird spotting cycle! This month I decided I was not going to test (ovulation test) anymore because it was just confusing me even more. HOWEVER haha I have had a really tender breast yesterday and a nagging headache, Ewcm and increased sex drive so I decided when I woke up this morning to take a pregnancy test and a ovulation test! Of course a BFN on a pregnancy test but my ovulation test was SUPER positive,,, I will attach a picture! I have dtd the last 2 nights and will again tonight. Your test is super positive to! Yay we are cycle buddies! Ha. Looks like we will be on the tww again together! Sometimes symptoms come and go but as long as you have had them all and now you have a positive then I would say that's great! I hope we both catch it this month. Feels like it's taken forever. Have I asked you how long you have been trying for? I will get back on here more regularly. I will just check myself and not rely on email notifications... Because clearly I'm not getting them Hmm

Not sure if you are still around princess...I'm wondering if you missed out last cycle as you've not updated? :(

I'm on cd13 of a (usually) 25 day cycle and I've just had a positive opk. Most positive I've ever seen anyway. The dates don't quite work out for a 25 day cycle and I had egg white cm a couple of days ago so a little confused. Hoping to dtd tonight before dh leaves for a few days! Hopefully we might catch it this month.

LillyBugg · 03/06/2016 19:03

That is odd. Have you had early spotting before? I wonder what an IB is actually like. I literally have no idea if it would be like one or two spots or maybe more.

I'm cd7 of a 25 day cycle now so I reckon tomorrow it's time to get the opk's out again!

Princessnthepea86 · 03/06/2016 14:02

That's fantastic! I'm so pleased that they were helpful. Let me know what the results are when you get them! Well I started spotting pink on Wednesday so I was thinking 'oh AF is here' but I'm still spotting but now it's brown and it's only when I wipe. I thought maybe IB but I did a test this morning with a first response as it has been 48 hours and it's a BFN so yet again another weird spotting cycle. I'm going to give it another 2 months and then go to my doctor for some tests also xx

OP posts:
LillyBugg · 03/06/2016 12:49

So I had my doctors appointment and they were surprisingly helpful. I think it helped that I had a junior doctor who saw it as an opportunity to learn something! I have been referred for a pelvic scan to check that everything is as it should be. And I'm also going to be having a 21 day blood test alongside a general screening of my blood to check that all is well. The senior doctor who was assisting said that I'm showing all the right signs - healthy, good weight, young enough, non smoker etc etc so it might just be a matter of being patient. But no harm in checking out the basics first of all. So all in all I was quite pleased with the appointment which I did think was going to be a waste of time!

LillyBugg · 29/05/2016 19:33

Sounds like a good idea! I'll keep up with the opk's once this period ends (usually 7 days for me boo) and might post some pics to see what you think to. Best of luck!

Princessnthepea86 · 29/05/2016 18:49

Oh Lillybug :( I'm sorry. I'm glad you don't feel it to badly. To be honest I'm feeling very similar this month. My boobs have stopped hurting today I mean nothing at all! Plus like I said i really don't have hope I am even ovulating so my hopes are very very low. I'm what I think (but doubt) is 7dpo today and I ordered my first response online yesterday knowing they won't be here until Wednesday so then I won't test early and waste money! That's if I have no come on by Thursday anyway. I hope your doctor is helpful for you and you can get some answers! I will update you and let you know what is happening with me! Why don't you help yourself to a few glasses of Wine now on the bank holiday weekend. X

LillyBugg · 29/05/2016 18:21

Well I came on this morning. Haven't done any tests which I'm glad about. Might see if I can get a doctors appt this week. I don't feel too disappointed because I really didn't feel like we were going to be successful this cycle which I suppose is a good thing.
I'll still be hanging around princess and hoping this cycle is the one for you!

Princessnthepea86 · 28/05/2016 20:41

Ohh good luck lillybug! I am 6dpo today is I ovulated when I think I did! My boobs hurt so they say that's a good sign you ovulated. I'm going to test using a frer on 11dpo which is Thursday! After 10 months I'm not feeling the need to pee on a stick from 7dpo because like you have said they are sooo expensive!! To be totally honest I haven't felt super positive this month either. I think it's dragging me down seeing a bfn month after month and I'm really not expecting a positive (this is my first month feeling this way). It's good though because now I'm more relaxed the days are going a lot faster! Anyway keep me updated I really hope we both get our bfp!!!! Smile

OP posts:
LillyBugg · 27/05/2016 12:08

Yes I'd agree everything I've read says the day before is best.

Well I'm now on cd25. I vary from 24-28 (or have done these last few months). Had some cramps yesterday and was convinced my period was starting but it didn't. I only have one pregnancy test in the house and I'm going to try and hold off testing. It's so disappointing when it's negative. I did do another opk though and again there was a faint line. I've ordered a load of cheap internet pregnancy tests, but hopefully I won't need them. I have been using frers so far but they are so expensive.

Sounds like given the circumstances princess every other day is very good going!

Princessnthepea86 · 27/05/2016 12:00

That makes me feel better!! I really hope so. :)

OP posts:
Allium40 · 26/05/2016 21:31

Speaking from experience, I think it's better to dtd the day before ovulation!

Princessnthepea86 · 26/05/2016 21:25

Oh and my husband suffers with erectile dysfunction! So to be honest planning it does not always go to plan. Just lately he has been a lot better! Yesterday I got my positive opk (and I'm convinced it was a real one because I have had horrible cramps in my left ovary today) and we had sex yesterday soon after bit tried to today to maximise our chances and he literally couldn't :( we work alternate shifts so we don't be able to tomorrow either or probably the next day. I'm a bit bummed but I'm pretty sure you can fall pregnant by just having sex the day before you ovulate can't you? I know your not optimising your chances but it's better than nothing I guess 😏

OP posts:
Princessnthepea86 · 26/05/2016 18:29

Lillybug no that's no offensive at all! It's really cute. We call our little girl 'bug'. To be honest at first I wasn't Dtd (well we were but no regularly) until 2 months ago. Opks have worked for me in the past and I have fallen pregnant without the every other day method however this time trying clearly I have a hormone imbalance because like I said I'm getting so many positives. I was stressing my husband out saying 'oh it's positive lets do it' so we came to a compromise that we would just Dtd every other day to give him a break. Neither of us are highly sexed people so it isn't easy I have to admit! I wish my body would revert back to being normal and just getting one normal positive surge! 😩😞 I'm going back to the doctor in 2 months if nothing is happening! I mean... I already have kids so I don't think they will give me any help as such but I'm hoping they can tell me at least if I have a problem x

OP posts:
LillyBugg · 25/05/2016 19:16

Aww Lilly is my cat's name...and we call her 'the bug'! I hope that's not insulting to your daughter, I love the name Lily.

Your comments made me do another opk lol. And it showed a faint positive again. Which makes no sense because I am now on cd23 of an approx 25 day cycle. So maybe there is something wrong. I think if I don't get pregnant this cycle I'm going to go to a doctor. Erratic cycles. Weight loss. 6 failed cycle attempts. Maybe they will help. Or tell me to come back in another 6 cycles. But I can try.

princess when you say you have dtd every other day...how long have you kept this up? I find it so hard to keep going that long...I'll be honest, I lose interest!!

Princessnthepea86 · 25/05/2016 13:17

Lillybugg! That's my little girls name 😍 She is lily and we have always called her Lilybug! Haha!! Well I am stumped because I have continued to take ovulation tests and all were negative again until today and then today I got a HUGE positive. I didn't take a picture but way more positive than my last post!! I have covered all bases anyway and I think I'm going to use tomorrow as 1dpo just to be on the safe side. Lilly I'm having problems ovulating to! I think I may have developed pcos which is why I always seem to be getting positive opks.... Makes it really hard to determine if any positive opk is actually going to be 'the one' so I'm just pretending each one is a definite positive. I have also been Dtd every other day. Today is CD25 so I really hope it's a real positive.
Writer you test was for sure a positive!! How many soo are you now? Oh I really hope we can all get a bfp this month! This will be cycle 11 for me 😒 Xx
