Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

snarky that sounds awful for you (and him)! I think there is a definite common theme running amongst a few of us here that are struggling with our blokes and DTD. I suppose it is a huge step for them too, and it's so easy us saying "oh they only have to have sex like they've been doing fine up till now" but there is huge pressure now that there wasn't before. It is a shame that they don't seem to be able to chat to their friends about it. Any problems like that for me and I'd be straight round my best mates with a bottle of wine to talk it over. Agree with jem about just trying to make it fun? I'm having to do similar here, try not to make a big deal out of it in fw as that's when he seems to wobble! (No pun intended! 😜)

I bloody love avacado's!!! I'm going to eat more now I know they help with fertility!

LovelyFishy · 27/06/2016 19:45

Kwick your food suggestion post last week was pretty much my shopping list! Wink

Snarky it's such a shame there isn't somewhere like this but for guys. I think my DH would benefit from it too! At least you know he's totally up for being a dad, even if it's a mixed blessing now? Confused

SuchaJem · 27/06/2016 19:28

Oh snarky your poor fella Sad he needs to forget about everything fertility and get his mojo back!

Could you put some time aside to just enjoy being a couple, having fun, not worrying or talking about conception? An activity or date or treat of some kind? A couples massage might be good.

Also how about focusing on foreplay and saying right we're not having sex tonight, just having some fun?

Sounds like he needs to take the pressure out of it all somehow. Really hope he can relax and get back on track either way hon.

SnarkyGorgon · 27/06/2016 18:07

Mmmm, now I just want avocados, thanks kwick and Lovelyfishy! Delicious!

Currently on cd17 and my OH is in full blown anxiety meltdown so over fw we have only managed to dtd on cd13. He is desperate to be a dad and his fear of being infertile is preventing us from being able to dtd, thereby rendering us infertile. I don't really know what to do, he doesn't have anyone he feels he can talk to about this stuff apart from me. Do any of you know of a decent forum for the guys who are ttc? I've been googling and not really found anything that useful. He needs to go for a SA, but is freaking out about it.

Fx hep we're all rooting for you!

HepKestrel · 27/06/2016 17:50

I hate avacados BLEUGH!! (sorry kwick)
devil's fruit Wink

kwick · 27/06/2016 17:45

lovelyfishy you named the eating regime after me! I feel so proud!! Grin
So here is how I eat avocados:
-mashed on to a nice bread that has been toasted with a vinagarette dressing

  • with a prawn cocktail (I am after all a child of the 70s)
  • with poached eggs and toast
  • in a salad with leaves and roast chicken

We definitely are due some bfps!!!
Everyone who is POAS it had better be a FRER!!!!

HepKestrel · 27/06/2016 14:02

jem yes it can be, but it can also be related to the stress I think. It certainly isn't helping me stay away from the edge. Though I don't know how early it can arrive as a pg symptom.

I really don't normally get heartburn.

I am using first-response, and really did squint, but no sign of a second line.

so I am going to try to be zen-like and keep calm, and keep carrying supplies in my handbag just-in-case...

fx the cashier did comment "hope you have a good evening!"

thanks for helping me keep sane everyone ! Flowers

SuchaJem · 27/06/2016 13:18

Heartburn is pg sign no? Are you using good tests hep?

fingers crossed you and skip and brewing some little beans!!

fishy avocados are my fave, I like them mashed on toast with some salt and like juice.

FXSkip · 27/06/2016 12:44

Haahah hep the person on the till would be v confused by that shopping basket, unless she was one of us!!

Fishy good to have you on the avo bus! I eat them with scrambled eggs, with anything actually, but they are also good just with a spoon and a splash of balsamic vinegar right in the stone-hole!

HepKestrel · 27/06/2016 12:38

thanks fishy, thats useful to know.

I am definitely back down to "moderate" stress instead of "ARRGGHHHHHH-level" stress.

Went to boots yesterday bought pg tests and sanitary towels as I figure I will be needing one or the other!

may have to break out the cross-stitch again...

Evergreen17 · 27/06/2016 12:32

I hope some testing here soon with some good news for people Flowers

Evergreen17 · 27/06/2016 12:31

Thank you Fishy
Very early days for me, I am just waiting for the scan on Thursday since just before my BFP I was told I was probably not releasing mature enough eggs so I am a bit cautious and not believing any of this yet Confused

Only 6+5 Smile

LovelyFishy · 27/06/2016 12:24

Ever no bfp lately (unless I've missed anyone in which case I'm so sorry!). We're really due one soon! Luckily a lot of us seem to be roughly the same time now, so in a few weeks there'll be a lot of testing. Huge congrats for you and your blueberry! Grin

LovelyFishy · 27/06/2016 12:21

Hep when I've delayed AF due to stress she always just show late, never missed, then I calm down and have a regular cycle after that until the next stressful time!

Skip how fab would that be to find out at 11 weeks? By the time you find out it would feel really real! Fx for you.

I have been following the Kwick Fertility Food Guide this cycle! Lots of whole milk (I was previously on the orange milk from Tescos) and walnuts. Even tried my first avacardo the other day! What different ways are there to eat them?

Evergreen17 · 27/06/2016 11:20

Hola fx! SmileGrin
Hi suchagem Smile
I miss you guys Smile

Who is in charge of the list these days? Any BFPs lately?

Wishing everyone here lots of luck.

HepKestrel · 27/06/2016 11:07

next AF/testing for me: July 20th.

though i may test again, if only to keep my stress levels low.

Think i have a tent pegged out by the ledge as I find myself there so often....
Also adding to my cray-cray is that my last AF was much shorter than normal.

FXSkip · 27/06/2016 10:05

Jem nope. I fell for that crap last month, back when I thought a 36 day cycle was the worst. I am sure that this month I am still just a bit messed up from going on holiday so I am just going to wait patiently for AF to turn up. I started burping yesterday and immediately got my hopes up (based on
Starky) but feel stupid getting excited, so I need talked down from this ledge.

Hep I am feeling the same. I am going to wait for the next one and if I miss that too then I will test. Next AF due 4th August of course if I am upduffed I'll be 11 weeks by then

HepKestrel · 27/06/2016 09:06

Hi Jem
19th June was right! currently on cd40.
I cracked and poas yesterday - another BFN. Nothing else to report other than mild cramping and hideous heartburn for the last week. Have bought myself some gaviscon for the first time in my life.
I usually have 1-2 day boob warning than AF is on the horizon, but nothing to report there.

skip - this is by far my longest cycle ! fairly regular at 29-33 days, with only one previous outlier at 37 back in Jan. I have had a stressful month, so suspect that is the cause. Would that cause a missed AF though (or just late)? Stupid question, but should I just expect the next one at ~cd60?

SuchaJem · 27/06/2016 08:43

Moose that sounds really tough, difficult for your oh too. Could you try to slowly increase the frequency of sex and ignore fw? I think the official gp line is 3 times a week - if you can get towards that I think it would greatly improve your chances.

Hi ever, glad all is going well. I'm happy with opks but thanks for the tip.

Fx hep - I've got you down as testing on 19 June which can't be right?

Skip - 41?! Are you testing?

Cd12 for me so kicking off fw. No cm clues or opks yet.

FXSkip · 27/06/2016 08:02

Hola ever so lovely to hear from you!! hep I'm also waiting for AF - cd 41 in the house! What happened to my lovely 28 day cycles?!
Meanwhile busy planning baby gifts for my three closest friends due in the next 4 months....if there's something in the water I've clearly not had enough to drink Sad

HepKestrel · 26/06/2016 11:24

In other news my gardening yesterday resulted in to completely filling my wheelie bin!

HepKestrel · 26/06/2016 11:23

Still waiting for AF, mild cramping, nothing from boobs.
[Drums nails on desk]

You may have learnt by now that I am not a patient person!!

Fx for all of us, sticky beaners, isw-ers, tww-ers and sp alike.

And I think we all deserve Flowers this weekend

kwick · 26/06/2016 10:27

peaches sounds like a marvellous idea to swap harvest with neighbours. Love your imagery also - thank you.

Allotment work slightly hampered by torrential rain so more today!!!

How exciting sky! Please share photos if you have any!

Evergreen17 · 26/06/2016 07:58

Hi ladies!
How are you? Smile
Saying hola from grads thread. Currently with a 6+ 4 blueberry

For those struggling reading opks I can't (again) recommend the fertility monitor enough.

Smile

I got my one second hand and it gave me so much calm.

I stopped tempting and opks as they were too stressful for me

How is everyone doing???

marmitetoast1 · 26/06/2016 06:54

Glad it's going well Sky and that your bean is sticking!

Hi peaches, yep I'm from Perth and Kinross-shire but living in Manchester at the moment. Plan was always to move back in a few years time to be nearer family when we had wee ones but that may now been sooner rather than later!!

Sorry to hear you and DH feeling stressed and under pressure moose I know what that can feel like too. Fingers crossed spending some quality time together and being more chilled for a week or two will help you get back to DILR soon!!

Right, off to look at some art and eat some Italian food!
