Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

What happened to our sunshine Hmm!

Lots of hurt and disappointment, this ttc lark is such a roller coaster!

pug Fingers crossed. Good luck at Sw.

inspector cheers, great buy. Will try to swing by a boots tomorrow.

Looking forward to my shopping then dinner date night tomorrow. Haven't felt like doing anything at all in the last few weeks. And OH has promised to treat me to something special. Hope he has his credit card ready Grin

Anyway, bank holiday weekend, hope everyone has something nice planned Smile

Pugmummy87 · 26/05/2016 18:25

Well AF hasn't arrived properly yet, still the brown spotting. I think she's going to turn up either tomorrow or Saturday which makes me 13dpo, which is what FF says I am, not that AF was due yesterday like I thought, so she was right all along. So I suppose I'm not out until she turns up, but I'm 99.9% sure I am not pregnant.
Thank you for all your kind words anyway.

Am rejoining slimming world tonight as in I'm going back to group. I can't do it without going to group.

bluebird3 · 26/05/2016 15:25

Hi everyone. Af got me too. Ticket for 23rd of June please!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 26/05/2016 13:20

kav sorry she got you mate, what a kick in the cervix! The tww is such a mental exercise, it's awful! Zennor breathing awful and lots of wine is he answer.

Sorry to all who have been visited by the witch! And for those waiting for her to turn up when she hasn't! The vile beast!

Don't get too bogged down with diet plans and stuff though guys, it can get into your brain. I always try to think if stuff like that worked then it would be rolled out officially. It's good to do healthy eating and stuff but changing everything can affect your hormones too. Everything in moderation and all that!

How is everyone? I've not even neglecting you all, still been reading just not posting so much! Welcome to all newbies!

Thanks for adding me to the list jem I'm not really sure when my testing date would be as still trying to get a handle on post-pill cycles! Currently on CD36 and still no still no sign of AF. Getting fed up! Beginning to panic that I'm going to have some sort of crazy long cycle with no sign of a period and maybe I haven't even ovulated.

ema your comment about your phone autocorrecting bfp to baps made me laugh! Grin

LemonLimeTonic · 26/05/2016 12:26

SuchaJem not sure what my testing date is. How many days post ovulation do you usually test? I was going to POAS the day AF is due - June 19th. Can I test earlier than that?

InspectorPenguin · 26/05/2016 11:31

Yes Jem, FRER are BOGOF at Boots. £2.60 per test!

SuchaJem · 26/05/2016 11:25

Did someone say bogof on frers??

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better kav. The shitty disappointment when you know it hasn't happened again soon fades. Onwards to cycle 6 and fx for us both.

Sorry about all the AF going around, we really are overdue some bfps. Any sign of bluebird or neoninja?

Kat that conference does sound crappy timing, if it's only a couple of days you could be covered with lots of DTD either side? Or smuggle oh along?

emalady · 26/05/2016 11:12

kava so sorry to hear you are having a rubbish time. I was the same this month especially faced with a pregnant bellies everywhere. It's good to know other people are going through the same thing. Glad you are doing a bit better now.
So many witch attacks this month. pug kat hope you are doing ok. Definitely due some bfps. (phone corrected this to baps, it doesnt know not to trust the boobs!)
On the topic of stopping temping I have decided there is definitely no point in me trying as I very rarely have 3 hours unbroken sleep. The plan for this month is to restart headspace meditation app to try and get some perspective back.
Very interested in the acupuncture, let us know how it goes.

kavanaughkj · 26/05/2016 10:31

Heya ladies ... just wanted to say thanks so much to you all for the support. I'm sorry I was so grumpy yesterday but it meant a lot to see your messages and know they were coming from people going through exactly the same crap I am! Thank you for being so lovely and understanding. AF came in full force this morning as expected but I've gotten over the worst of the disappointment already, in no small part due to being able to vent here. I'm lucky too in that work colleagues and friends/family were able to tell something was up and rallied around me so while I'm feeling bruised today I'm ready to jump back on the horse.

You're all superstars. Flowers I'll just have to learn to follow Starky's rule - do not convince thyself that thou art upduffed in the TWW!

Sorry AF got you too, pug and Kat ... we'll all join the BFP crew soon enough.

Penguin - I have to say I've thought about stopping temping and you do have a good point. My day yesterday was shit virtually from the moment I opened my eyes because of the temperature drop. The only thing is that I wanted to keep track to have a record to show the gp as if I don't get pg this month I wanted at least to be able to demonstrate I was having a normal cycle. I would love for something to be able to push the constant thoughts of TTC from my head ... and maybe this cycle is as good as any. I have a week off next week and will be spending the latter half in a nice hotel with DH, some of which will coincide with my fertile window. It'd be nice to have a month off all the peeing on sticks and the pressure.

I think you're right. I'll still go to my acupuncture sessions but a month without all this stress would be great.

Jem - hugs to you too! - and could you add a June 21 ticket for me? Time to go easy on all the faff and the stress.

Rosey135 · 26/05/2016 10:23

Hi, I'm new to this thread and to the whole thing really.

Age: 26
Ttc #1
Cycle 2
Cd 12 of 24

Just starting out on our journey, I'm not temping or doing much but using ovia and woman log which I have used for ages just to keep track of everything. We have decided to take a relaxed approach but that all went out the window with the first ttw can see myself going crazy already, so glad there are places like this were I can release my crazy rather than unleash it all on my partner.

Good luck everyone, glad to have found you!

NxxP · 26/05/2016 09:55

I'm in my 2ww too. I think I'm 11-13 dpo this cycle - have been ttc for eight months but still not managed to pin o down. Current battle is trying not to symptom spot or waste money on early tests but it's hard.

InspectorPenguin · 26/05/2016 09:13

Hey all, just catching up on the new thread - moving fast with the new recruits!

Hi to everyone who's joined recently, it's nice to have a boost in numbers that will hopefully translate into a crop of BFPs soon.

Flash I'm very sorry to hear about your ectopic, that must have been very stressful indeed. Fingers crossed the fact you conceived quickly the first time will mean it won't take long when you're ready to go again. I hope the next one is much more straightforward for you.

Everyone who's had BFNs, I'm so sorry, it sounds like it's hit harder this month? Flowers

Kav you can tell me to mind my own business, but do you think having a month off temping might help you? If you've been doing it from the start it must be taking its toll in that you are essentially thinking about TTC from the moment you open your eyes. If your cycle is predictable maybe see how it goes just DTD every 2-3 days from CD9/10 (or whatever would work for your cycle)?
Obviously it's not going to magic away TTC from your thoughts but it might just help take some pressure off and free some head space x

Snow I really hope Clomid does the trick for you this month. Really hope you don't suffer too much from any nasty hormonal side effects - or that your DH is understanding at least!

No news to update from me. 35 day cycles are so boring :( I'm in the middle of the TWW and don't have anything going on that remotely suggests I have a seedling in the oven. However, FRER are buy-one-get-one-free in Boots at the moment so I picked up two packs yesterday. I might treat myself to one over the bank holiday weekend just for the hell of it Grin

Oh, and whoever said about the advert for the morning after pill appearing on these pages; yes, I agree! Very weird choice!!

Stats:
Age: 35 (and a half..)
TTC: #1
Cycle: 3
CD: 29 (of predicted 35)

kwick · 26/05/2016 08:40

pug I have PCOS too and ok I got preggers with IVF - but going this route as sans ready supply of chukka-chukka. So do not despair - it is possible!

DILRW = doing it like rabbits week

Sorry for those that have unwanted afFlowers I would rather like mine to make an appearance!!!

Ok better go and do some work Envy

Flashinthepan · 25/05/2016 23:14

Hello ladies. Sorry to all who've been visited by the bitch, I mean witch. I'm on holiday but have caught up and we have so many newbies! I'll add my stats so I can be on the list as for god knows when. Flash 27, ttc #1. Pregnant on cycle 1 but now back to the start after ectopic diagnosed at nearly 8 weeks and right tube removed. I think I may have ovulated this week due to the frankly unholy amount of ewcm that I have had but cant make use of for 3 months but hoping I might get af in a week or so and get back to some normality. Sending hugs to all those having a rough time.

KatOnATinRo0f · 25/05/2016 22:52

I'm out too... :'(
Also just realised I'm away at a conference next weekend which will be CD 9-11 (of a regular 27 day cycle).... That's not very promising, is it??

Kathrino · 25/05/2016 19:59

Gah, stupid AF. I'm so sorry that she's got so many of you recently. This whole thing is so shit.

Pugmummy87 · 25/05/2016 19:17

Well its a big fat fucking negative again, temps are on the way down and I've got my usual pre af brown spotting. Cycle 7 looms.
To top it off, DH gave me his cold which meant I couldn't enjoy myself volunteering as much I hoped at the beer fest yesterday because I felt unwell.
My friend posted an article on fb yesterday written by a guy who spoke about he and his wife's struggle with infertility. I have such a huge fear I am infertile thanks to pcos. I almost wonder if I'm putting a block on things.

I just want a baby Sad

Sorry that she got you too Kav

SuchaJem · 25/05/2016 18:32

Speculum up fanjo week does not sound fun kwick. I'll remember this when I'm getting sick of fw!

Good luck with your assessment moose that sounds stressful xx

SuchaJem · 25/05/2016 18:30

Kav Sad so sorry AF got you. I feel your pain - cycle 5 ended in AF for me too last week and I hated the world. It's so gutting it stings like hell.

Take care of yourself and wallow if you need to. I did!

Hope you emerge and feel better in a few days xx

MizzisDee · 25/05/2016 18:22

The 20% is mind blowing. It seems crazy when I think of how convinced you are when you're younger that you're only one false move away from an unwanted/unexpected pregnancy yet here we all are deliberately trying and still having to wait for it to happen.

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 18:09

What is Dilrw btw ??

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 18:08

There is a book called woman code i just downloaded it on audible it talks about adjusting what you eat to your cycle and how it all depents on hormonal balance if your hormones are off balance then you experience problems and this how to solve these problems through nutrition
It also talks about chemicals in several things that are not good when trying to concieve or in general really i found it very interesting and really informative if you think about it everythinng depends on hormones if younovulate depends on hormones if the egg is implanted depends on hormones so keeping them in sync and balance is obviously very important

Mooseville · 25/05/2016 16:41

Hope your day has improved kav Sorry to hear the bitch got you....

20%???? Really??? No wonder we're all struggling.... Does explain the difficulty though....
Stressful week at work here, away doing an assessment - which is pass or fail. I am totally competent in passing it, but the nerves just get in the way when you know it's important! Aaaargh.... Hopefully on Friday I can breathe a sigh of relief and hit the Prosecco (whether I've passed or failed!)
