Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Congratulations SkyLucy that's lovely news!

Thanks LovelyFishy - I have been telling him when the FW is so might try not doing so this month. But also wondered about going the other way and getting him an app/tracker so he can tell me when the best time is (and I'll pretend I don't know) so that he feels more in control. But perhaps that's just weird.

Just need AF to hurry up now. I think today is the day as it's the one week anniversary of my boobs starting to hurt which is when she normally appears. No idea why I tested last night to be honest but please forgive my sin.

Ni4444 · 07/06/2016 03:33

Sky that's wonderful!!! Congrats!! And such lovely timing on your anniversary! X

LovelyFishy · 07/06/2016 03:27

Congratulations Sky, super good news!!

Nicky I totally get your feeling there! We've been trying for 10 months now, 1st couple out of my close friends group. I'm almost scared of someone else starting and getting a bfp before us!! It's silly I know, but we feel the way we feel and that's ok.

Bluebird sorry about the bfn. As for getting DH on board I find it easier not to tell him when FW is (although I think he kind of knows!) to ease "performance anxiety" issues. I also bought a little outfit from Ann Summers to try and help keep things feeling more casual and less like a scheduled event!

More symptom spitting for me...noticed some creamy cm this eve while at work, and I never get any even during FW normally! Also some light cramping, but who knows what that's about. Currently cd 21...

SkyLucy · 07/06/2016 00:19

Hi everyone, thanks for your wisdom earlier when I was losing it! I'm posting late, when I should be asleep, because I have good news.....I got a BFP this evening Grin. Strangest feeling ever - DH and I are in shock! It's actually our wedding anniversary, and I had a ridiculous amount of fun wrapping up the positive test and watching him open it as one of his pressies!

Anyway, it's very, very early days (Clearblue digi says 1-2 weeks) so I might go quiet for a bit - I know how common it is for things not to work out. I'll def still lurk though, and will update when I can. Night all x

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 22:40

Ooooo really?? I am going to try and utterly fail to forget about it for a few more days and if there is no change by the weekend test again.

So in reality I'll probably bulk buy my body weight in tests tomorrow and pee on a stick every hour on the hour Grin

5tardusty · 06/06/2016 22:35

Haha just typical! BFN at 12dpo isnt that unusual i don't think, i don't think you're out just yet!

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 21:57

12 days Dusty, although I ovulated late this month on day 17 so I don't know if that makes a difference...I am usually 26 day cycles with an occasional 28 day one but today is day 28 and countingConfusedtypical that it all goes haywire as soon as I start paying close attention!

5tardusty · 06/06/2016 21:31

How many dpo are you pigsbum?
Thanks for all who commented on my opks. Temps aren't playing ball just yet so i'm hoping they'll go up soon. Not sure that orally temping is v accurate for me though, as I seem to be coming out borderline hypothermic!! Might have to try vaginally next month Blush

Good luck to everyone this week wherever you are in your cycle. We are due some BFPs!

Pigsbum · 06/06/2016 21:27

BFN for me today, and yet no sign of AF and none of the usual warning signs.... Onwards to June Smile

blueladybird · 06/06/2016 20:08

I'm back. Was on the previous thread briefly, then had to take a step back for my own sanity after a BFN.

Just had another BFN but I've taken it better this time. Just waiting for AF to show up (peaked on clear blue at day 16, now on day 33) so can start again.

Does anyone have ideas/tips for engaging OH? He won't DTD on demand (understandably) but it's a pretty core part of conceiving. I wondered if he is more involved in it all he might be more engaged.

nicky883 · 06/06/2016 20:03

One of my best friend just told me she is pregnant 1st month of having unprotected sex Once ! I am so happy and sad at the same time is such a weird feeling !
I feel so guilty for being jealous !

Mooseville · 06/06/2016 17:40

It doesn't totally mean you're not! It takes some women longer for their hgc (or whatever they are) to raise to the levels which show positive, hence why you get stronger results on tests the further along you go/wait to test.
Although I have just read this on google and have no knowledge on this subject whatsoever! But it means you should never lose hope until AF is in the house!
choc a previous poster didn't get a BFP for weeks but knew she was upduffed from all the other symptoms!!

Sorry, that doesn't help the craziness does it???!

SkyLucy · 06/06/2016 17:36

Quick question...because my period is late and I got a BFN, I have OF COURSE been Googling 'false negatives' all day. I know it does happen, but I used a FRER, and they're super sensitive aren't they? So the fact that I tested on my due date with a FRER, and got a BFN, does mean I'm barren not pg, doesn't it?

SkyLucy · 06/06/2016 17:21

Oh don't Bluebird - you sound like my overly-hopeful inner voice!! The one that has spent six months cruelly whispering "you could be, you know....". This has happened to me before so logically I know I'll be disappointed in a few days. Plus I'm pretty bloated (yuk), a classic AF sign.

Sucha - missed the fact you're in Cali, I LOVE it there. Went for honeymoon and going back in October. Hope your anxiety has abated and you're enjoying that glorious sunshine living!

bluebird3 · 06/06/2016 16:35

star I think cd12 as well. If you dtd day 11 i think you're good to go. One time is enough and that seems pretty well timed.

bluebird3 · 06/06/2016 16:34

sucha California sounds amazing. My sis lives in LA...I want to be in Cali!!!!

fx sky no symptoms can be the best symptom from what I've heard...

SkyLucy · 06/06/2016 15:13

Welcome Sheila! Sorry to hear about the hospital cock-up flash, how bloody awful.

I'm going a bit bonkers today. CD34, no sign of AF, no pg symptoms (and neg test on Sat). Could test again tomorrow morning but don't want the heartbreak of another BFN. Just waiting for the witch. Wearing white pants and rushing to the every 5 mins because I 'feel it coming'!

LovelyFishy · 06/06/2016 15:03

Jem we went to Italy, Rome then Venice!

Sorry AF hasn't come yet Kwick. The witch is still toying with you.

Had a minor bit of symptom spotting last night, thinking do I normally need to pee this much? Probably just the insane amount of water I drank!!

kwick · 06/06/2016 11:33

Welcome sheila!!!

Very proud of you kat for King & country and all that Grin

Well done peaches although you are scaring me.

flash that is pants. What a cock-up!

I am home ill with a sore throat, fever and bone ache - it came on all of a sudden on Saturday. Still no af Envy

SuchaJem · 06/06/2016 00:46

DTD day 11 and ovulating day 12 sounds spot on - gives the swimmers chance to get in place to greet the egg when she comes. Good luck x

5tardusty · 05/06/2016 22:52

Thanks! Not at exactly the same time as i've been off this week. Usually in the afternoon though. I'm usually a lot more consistent! I know all months are pot luck but i just don't want to feel like there was more we could have done.

Ah well. The die is cast!

Ni4444 · 05/06/2016 20:31

Looks like CD12 5tar...but were they all taken at the same time of day? A 1-2 day wait for the swimmers should be fine! Fingers crossed for you xx

5tardusty · 05/06/2016 17:26

Hello all, i hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I wonder if any opkers can give their opinion on these opks and when they think i have ov'd. I'm feeling a bit frustrated as we haven't managed to dtd since cd11. The darkest line seems to be on cd12 (afternoon) and i just feel like we've missed our chance. I know officially that sperm is meant to live up to 5days but i would have preferred to do at least one of 12 or 13 just to be sure, as everything i read says that ov should happen 12-36 hours after the positive. Just concerned that the little swimmers will have died between thursday and saturday.

I know i'm just waffling now! Into the tww i go!

SuchaJem · 05/06/2016 14:55

Where was your Hol lovely? Great work on the DTD!

Hope you're waving the witch off soon peaches and back on track with your cycle to try again.

Hi ema glad to hear all going well. The gym / yoga approach sounds great Halo

I'm 2 DPO and already doubting my chances. We flew to California yesterday for a holiday / visiting family here and as usual I get very very anxious going away. Upset tummy, unable to sleep, beta blockers etc. Can isolated intense stress prevent conception do you think? I can't think it helps, or a 10 hour flight + 8 hour time difference! Shock

On a positive note my 3 year old half English half Korean cousin Ella is absolutely adorable. Hoping my anxiety abates as get used to being here with them.

emalady · 05/06/2016 14:10

Hi all, just been catching up, realised that I am a bit rubbish at checking in pre ovulation when all is happy and positive and getting on with dtd. Time just flies by. Just past ov and into tww and I'm back trying not to symptom spot or get depressed. We were lucky to have some quiet alone time for DILRW. My sister and her husband are coming to visit on ETD though, hopefully I can avoid the tears of last month. Grin
flash that is so horrible. Hope you are holding up ok and get another bfp in not too long.
I'm a bit scared of using EPO or the more hard core supplements. Instead have started again with daily meditation and gone back to the gym /yoga to try and undo the physical effects of stress and willing my womb to work. If it works I will be well chuffed but if not hopefully I will manage a bit better!
