Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Marmite I've said before that the opk's didn't work for me but then my dr confirmed that I wasn't ovulating strongly and so the hormones didn't register on them.
I used the for a couple of cycles until I got fed up of being told how faulty my body is. I hear for others they work wonders. Use them about a week after AF and test about 2pm if you can as this should catch the surge.

I've match my PB of 40 days (22 DPO?). I feel a bit queasy today but I'm sure that's just my mind playing tricks on me. I'm not sure when to test, I think I might try and hold out until the weekend.

5star I've just got a new job so it'll be sods law that I'm pg now. Luckily it's for the same company and is only 6 moths but I'm pretty sure it'll put them off extending the offer Sad

WingingIt83 · 15/06/2016 16:37

marmite I started opking as soon as AF stopped. I didn't test until about 7pm each night and I think mid afternoon is supposed to be best. I never got a really dark line, only one that was almost as dark as control.

marmitetoast1 · 15/06/2016 16:24

Thanks 5tardusty,I have bought some from Amazon and am thinking I will probably use them next cycle. As you say, the apps are really not that reliable a way of establishing when fertile window is!
What point in cycle do people start using opks?

I think everyone is right about jobs - we've got to get on with life and it would be the typical 'sods law' factor that would probably mean you get a bfp straight after starting new job!! I guess the only thing to think about is mat leave pay entitlement - do you lose a good entitlement if you leave somewhere where you had a good one. I've actually got an interview on Friday for a new job, although it's with the same organisation...

LovelyFishy · 15/06/2016 15:39

5tar I've been thinking about applying for a new job but put off as ttc too! Maybe I should be brave like you and just apply. I mean, I might not even get it!

For some reason I'm feeling ok Jem. I wish I knew the magic secret! Maybe I got so worked up the first few disappointing cycles that I'm out of crazy for now?

nicky883 · 15/06/2016 14:32

Thanks ladies feel much better today :) sorry for everyone else that had af !

I have thrown away all the opks and hidden away the thermometer Blush
5star you should go ahead and change the job if you want to i have been putting things off because i might get pregnant and i dont think its healthy we should go on with our lives as normal !
I have booked my self some accupuncture as i heard it can help you relax i will use it for back pain and fertility as well . I am also joining slimming world next week and planning my home renovations :)
Anything to distract my mind of ttc although i know its almost impossible to forget about it completely but i believe not trackinn will help with the madness i have been tracking for 5 cycles and i am like clockwork 28 days 13 day positive opk i dont think anythi will change this cycle so there is no point really :p

5tardusty · 15/06/2016 13:56

Hello, just checking in. On day 8 of bleeding now, though it's only really been pad worthy for abut three days. I'm pleased to see red flow after the brown spotting, as i didnt see it last month and subsequently didn't ovulate. I am willing my hormones on!

On another note, I am probably going to apply for a new job Confused. Ready to move on but had been putting it off due to TTC. Now coming round to the theory that actually i need to get on with my life and if a baby comes along at an inconvenient time then i'll just have to deal with it. Hate the idea of getting preggers just after starting a new job though.

marmite i understand you not wanting to get too caught up in it. I find OPKs my favourite fertility tool though as i like to see that my body is doing 'stuff'! Plus the apps are not accurate for me so without them i'm unlikely to catch my fertile days without constant dtding!

Really sorry about AF nicky. I hope you enjoy relaxing away from the madness. It sounds like you've got an amazing year ahead of you!

Peaches8Posies · 15/06/2016 13:55

sucha yes, Thursday, Friday, and yesterday. POAS is too addictive.

So ladies I'm posting here, I will/i must refrain from it until I'm 100% sure I need to. No idea what length of cycle I'll have so I'm not getting myself worked up at 25 days onwards (pinky promise Halo) it will happen when it happens.

marmitetoast1 · 15/06/2016 13:20

Ah everything crossed for you guys! Cm and temps do sound promising wingingit!
Hoping Friday comes and goes with no AF for you jem. Poas is addictive!

SuchaJem · 15/06/2016 13:15

Sorry about AF lovely, hope you're alright xx

Thanks peaches. I'm relieved to be feeling more normal. Did you manage to get some DTD in during your fw?

Marmite I'm 12 DPO today and expecting AF any time. Due Friday but feel she might come early. Got another bfn on IC yesterday - not sure why I'm bothering really! Just love to POAS Hmm

WingingIt83 · 15/06/2016 12:59

Still no AF, cm still there, temps still high. I have some cheapy tests at home so tempted to try tomorrow morning although it is probably still too early.

marmitetoast1 · 15/06/2016 12:42

How are all those holding up that are coming to end of 2ww? Moose, Jem, wingingit et al? Hope the bitch is staying away!!

Totally with you on the relaxed/see what happens approach peaches, it's hard not to but being so focused on all the details that you start to get stressed out about it surely can't be helpful! I am tempted to give opks a go next cycle though to try and get more of a handle on my cycle. So I will prob become more obsessive then despite my best intentions!

CD20 here although no idea whether will be another 36 day cycle or shorter...! Could have a while to wait yet!

Peaches8Posies · 15/06/2016 12:00

WingingIt83 · 15/06/2016 11:33

Sorry she got you nicky and lovely Sad

nicky I hear lots of people end up getting pg naturally after effectively 'giving up' so I hope that happens to you too xx

LovelyFishy · 15/06/2016 11:17

Gah! Guess who turned up as I was getting ready for work? No Italian stow-away for me, roll on cycle 11. Sad

LovelyFishy · 15/06/2016 10:22

Sorry about AF Nicky. Your plan sounds great, go forth and have a great time! Can't wait to hear from you again when you do get your bfp! Grin

SuchaJem · 15/06/2016 08:09

Sorry about AF Nicky Sad good luck with getting your bfp - come back and tell us when you do.

HankPeach · 15/06/2016 07:32

Ahh Nicky I'm really sorry to hear AF arrived. It is such a kick in the stomach. I'm really sorry you're feeling so low. Here's to moving into less stressed, positive phase though. Have you thought about acupuncture? A few of my chums swear by it after months of ttc.

nicky883 · 15/06/2016 07:05

Goodmorning ladies ,
Af arrived for me last night and after a night. Of crying like someone died i ve decided that i am going to stop .
I ll throw away the few opks left and onstain from any tracking talking or thinking about trc .i am just going to go on with my life our house move our holiday and try to forget about this all. I am going to enjoy having sex with my husband instead of thinking if its the right time for it
Sod it i ve had enough of this obsessing ! If it happens it happens if not will be fine on our own Wink
Wish all
Of you ladies the best of luck on your journey

SuchaJem · 14/06/2016 22:50

Moose and lovely our cycles are so close. Fingers crossed for at least one bfp this week xx

Mooseville · 14/06/2016 22:38

Evening girls. Just caught up. Currently away visiting family and it's been hectic. 2 days till AF here.... Although lots of DTD, very little 'deposited' but even though I know there's v little chance, I'm still thinking "ooh well they tell you some sperm are released anyway before the main event so maybe......" I mean dream on love!!! If it was that easy, we'd all be preggers!!!

LovelyFishy · 14/06/2016 18:49

AF arriving at work is the worst. I'm working tonight, AF due tomorrow, and I'm very grumpy! Can't decide if that's because AF is on her way or because I just think she is!! Thought I saw a tiny bit of red earlier but nothing since... I'm officially going crazy!

SuchaJem · 14/06/2016 16:47

Modest and Nicky - it's snowdog whose had the iui, not me Smile

kwick · 14/06/2016 16:10

Fx snowdog

kwick · 14/06/2016 16:07

The kidneys and feet thing I think comes from Chinese medicine Confused but I went with it as my feet are always cold.
