Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Marmite I know what you mean about missing out on promotions and bad managers and knowing you could do it better, it's so annoying!!

Kat I had that feeling last cycle, that this was now the first time I could have been having a baby instead of still trying for one. It's really odd. Confused

Snarky a puppy would be awesome!! I can imagine the fun and cuteness now!! Grin

Welcome Andrews!

SnarkyGorgon · 21/06/2016 08:54

Hi everyone, I'm back after AF misery with a much better PMA, I didn't deal well with this month's dissapointment.

Sorry everyone who was going for promotions and new jobs etc. but massive congrats for going for them and not putting your lives on hold because you may be pregnant by such and such time- I have decided to follow your excellent example and have started trolling through job ads. Also my OH and I are looking at getting a puppy, we've wanted one for ages, and I think now might be the right time ☺️

Sorry about the inconclusive tests bluebird but it's good that there's a plan in place, enjoy the break

Put me down for 9th July please sucha I've decided to ditch the OPKs and rely on CM spotting alone for the time being. Until OH can get a SA it seems reductive to keep spending all my pennies on wee sticks.

HepKestrel · 21/06/2016 08:50

well i don't know if shroedinger-pregnancy-brain is a thing, but i accidently left for work an hour early !!!!

Blush

at least i am able to let my self in, and get some odd work-jobs out of the way !!!!

marmitetoast1 · 21/06/2016 08:47

Thanks everyone, yes he is a total tool!! He is well known for being totally incompetent as a manager... Drives me insane when I know I could do a better job!! Might try and find and another job internally so I can keep my maternity benefits...although if I end up getting upduffed sooner than later that would be a bit awkward!
I get all feminist and annoyed about how all this works for women, we're the ones who have to think about all this stuff and end up feeling trapped in jobs Envy

Hope you enjoyed the music jem sounds like a lovely calming and uplifting evening!

Sorry to hear about "inconclusive" bloods bluebird - definitely an annoying word! But at least you have some next steps to start looking at? Flowers

My bus has just broken down on the way to work so things are continuing to go well here...!

KatOnATinRo0f · 21/06/2016 08:14

Hello AF, you bitch.
Weird.... I was just thinking that if I had got pregnant shortly after the wedding like I 100% expected I would, I'd probably be giving birth in the next few weeks. What a weird year. That also makes me think that the original thread 1 grads must be nearing popping now. I hope they are all doing well.

X

HepKestrel · 21/06/2016 07:49

Hi AndrewsGirl

we are mostly all ttc#1 in this group. (with a few graduates hanging around).
Our standard is advise is to wait a few days and try again with a frer. best wishes.

Evergreen17 · 21/06/2016 06:53

Sucha Could I be in the graduates? Blush

AndrewsGirl86 · 21/06/2016 01:01

I'm new, 43, ttc #11
Cycle #13
Lmp was May 21, typically 26 days. However last Friday (cd28) I only just bled one day. Still getting bfn's.
I don't know whether to treat this current week as week one of cycle, or week one of pregnancy, hoping last Fri was implantation bleeding.
Thoughts?
My youngest is 4-1/2 and I'm divorced and remarried to a man without any children of his own.
I'd love a cycle buddy, advice, or even just a friend at this point.

LovelyFishy · 20/06/2016 22:19

Sorry to hear blood tests were "inconclusive" Bluebird, that's a very annoying word! Hopefully you'll be able to get some answers soon and move forwards.

Loving all the gardening Kwick, you'll have to post a picture one day when it's all spruced up.

Very grown up evening Jem, I need to start looking at things like that methinks!

bluebird3 · 20/06/2016 18:27

Sorry to everyone who hasn't got promotions/new jobs. Seems like everyone is up for something lately. I've asked to do full time work doing 4 long days and a coupe hours from home on a Friday. Waiting to hear if bosses agree but would be ace staying home on a Friday.

Went to the GP today for bloods results. Both rounds are inconclusive which indicates I'm probably not ovulating...which would make sense after 16 cycles of nothing. DH has to have a SA and then we can be referred to the fertility clinic and probably put on Clomid unless DH has issues too. So that will probably take 2-3 months at a minimum to get him tested. I would be annoyed but it's my DSis wedding next May, so not getting upduffed now is ok. I'm going to enjoy a break from Ttc the next couple of months and try to focus on losing weight. Will keep checking in from time to time, hoping to see lots of bfps!

kwick · 20/06/2016 18:20

Wow sucha that is very grown-up - enjoy the music Smile

SuchaJem · 20/06/2016 18:13

Fishy I've popped that down. Really hope you get to treat him with a bfp.

Skip I'm right there with you on that bus with drinks and snacks BrewCake

Peace 7 FRER is a lot mate! Might want to get some cheapies from Amazon to feed this habit? Smile

Hi kav no problem hope you get somewhere with the GP next week

Sorry winging Sad hope you're alright xx

Hello hep Smile

Ugh marmite your manager sounds like a tool Hmm

I'm being all cultured tonight going to the Barbican to see Murray Perahia play some lovely piano. Part of my keep distracted and calm strategy! Halo

kwick · 20/06/2016 18:02

moose you have made me so hungry!!! Sounds delicious!

Sorry about AF emalady Flowers

marmite sorry about non-promotion.
That is terrible you found out at same time as another candidate. What are they playing at?

emalady if it is any comfort I am not a big fan of Fathers Day either (but for completely different reasons).

peace STEP AWAY FROM THE HPTs... You will never get a starky star at this rate!!!

starky I did not find lease... And completely forgot about it... Jesus my brain is like a sieve!!! Will have another look tonight. Thanks for reminding me Grin

We made loads of progress on allotment on Saturday but my body is still suffering from the exertions...

wing what a bugger! Sod's law with FRER!

snowdog I am in suspenders!!! What is the news?

marmitetoast1 · 20/06/2016 16:53

That's sucks wingingit WineCake at least you have a Frer stashed for future use now!

I'm feeling seriously hacked off today. After briefly being told on Friday I was unsuccessful (at the same time as another colleague), my manager didn't mention it all day today then acted surprised when I finally brought it up and asked for feedback?! After being on the phone all morning giving feedback to external candidates!! I fucking matter too!! AngryAngryAngry jeeeeez.
Phew, sorry guys!

peace i got DH to watch the great sperm race and he found it really helpful, he's the scientific type though who likes to know what's going on!

How did you get on at doctors today bluebird?

HepKestrel · 20/06/2016 16:53

Hi all,

so I gave up on ttc this month as i had a job interview, and was so stressed preparing for it....

anyway, [waves] hello all newbies and oldies !

waiting for AF so I can start a fresh month.

didn't get the job btw, but have a new responsibility at work which improves my prospects..... now to catch up on all the work i didn't do whilst preparing for the interview .... sigh .....

kavanaughkj · 20/06/2016 15:24

That's a proper bugger, Wingingit ... sorry AF is such a bitch! Flowers

Meant to say - Heya Peace and Pesky (Pesky, nice to see another lady my age here!)

WingingIt83 · 20/06/2016 15:17

FFS. The witch has dained to make an appearance today, and literally a second after leaving bathroom I get a text from dh saying he's found a frer :-(

So from a 28 day to a 36 day cycle, what a cow stringing me along like that Sad

kavanaughkj · 20/06/2016 15:17

Heya ladies. Sorry I've been so silent but have been trying to relax and not think about the TTC journey, which has meant enforced absence from this forum for a few days!

Jem, can you put me down for a 16 July ticket? AF arrived today despite this month being significantly more chilled with no temps tracking or POASing. I've phoned up the GP and booked myself in for a chat, got a spot Wednesday morning ... this is cycle 7 for me now and at 37 I'm hoping they won't just tell me to go away and see them again in another 6 months. I'm going on holiday later this month and in my naivety I'd imagined I'd be on the flight with a bump :( Fingers crossed the GP can help out!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 20/06/2016 13:43

blue I'm sure that won't happen.
skip all shall be well, but it's fucking frustrating as balls for you Flowers

Peace the great sperm race is a brilliant programme. I showed it to dh and he made me turn it off until after we'd dtd as it was spinning him out! Grin

StarkyTheDirewolf · 20/06/2016 13:38

kwick hiya mate, how are you? I'm ok, still no bump, no symptoms, nothing. It still seems like an abstract thing not happening really. It's strange! How's everything with you? Did you find your important documents?

alice those bastards! Flowers

Convo not congo …

FXSkip We haven't chatted before but I'm feeling for you Cake Flowers Chocolate

PeaceLilly1 · 20/06/2016 13:27

Morning all! Thank you all for the welcomes!

Soooo, this month I have peed on aprox 7 FRER so far … AF not even due until Wed 22nd … I don't even feel pregnant so no idea why the fuck I am peeing on such expensive sticks all the time! Next month I am not testing unless I am late. Maybe Wink

Anyone else tried to make their DH watch the Great Sperm Race? I get fed up with DH not understanding the most basic basic details. Convo last night went something along the lines of:
DH: "why don't you just test straight after we have DTD?"
Me: "it doesn't work that way, you have to wait until your AF is due"
DH: "what do you mean, don't you know immediately?"
Me: (explains ovulation, again)
DH: "Sooooooo, timing is REALLY important then?"
Me: Yes!
DH: "And you only get one chance a month?
Me: Yes!

We will have the same congo again next month Confused

FXSkip · 20/06/2016 11:32

Hi, sorry I've been really flaky recently. I haven't had tests, (cant remember who asked) because its only been 6 months ttc and I don't know if I will go for tests in another 6 months. I don't know how I'll feel. I've said before I won't be doing any fertility treatments, so going for tests seems like a pointless waste of resources for me. What I'm struggling with right now is feeling like my body is letting me down a bit, but I'm working on that!

So, with another long cycle threatening I am going to put myself down for 30th June. wearily takes seat at back of bus, pulls out a good book and gets settled in

FX for you both wingingit and marmite

LovelyFishy · 20/06/2016 09:01

13th July for me please Jem. Day before DH's birthday. This could either be really good or really bad!
