Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

I am cd34 and its starting to look like the stress of the recent job interview has screwed my cycle.
(Had a BFN this morning just to check).

sigh..... more waiting....

Anyway, I followed up on the "going to work an hour early" with "putting the recycling out a day early " FFS

kavanaughkj · 22/06/2016 11:09

Hugs to you, modest - sorry - It does properly suck and you've every right to feel a bit bruised. Flowers Hang in there.

kavanaughkj · 22/06/2016 11:08

Morning ladies - took a test in the middle of the night last night: stubbornly BFN. Also took temps this morning which seem pretty low. I'm guessing I'm not pg and that period of spotting/ultra-light period was actually my period. Have no clue why it would have been like that, just praying it isn't early onset menopause!

Saw the doctor this morning though and I'm booked in now for 'day 21 progesterone test', which for me will be day 19 as I have short cycles. They do that, a chlamydia swab and they've asked me to get DH to book in for a check up on his count - which they can't even talk about until the middle of next month, though apparently if we want to go to a fertility clinic then he has to at least have booked in at the hospital for the check before they'll let us move on.

Everything else looked pretty positive though - BMI in a healthy range, the doctor seemed happy enough to get the ball rolling ... it's just nice to think I'm actually doing something! Now to start counting down to the blood test on July 7th ...

WingingIt83 · 22/06/2016 10:10

Sorry modest it's rubbish isn't it.

I've made myself feel more positive by thinking of lots of good reasons for not conceiving yet Eg a wedding next week.

Thank you for the link,I'll try that :-)

Modestandatinybitsexy · 22/06/2016 09:47

I'll also be voting in, I was very firmly undecided/leaning towards out until I read various articles. The main argument for leaving seems to be immigration which really put me off.

Winging I think you can watch The great sperm race here.

I dropped off the face of the planet for a bit. AF arrived while I was at a party on Saturday so that put a dampener on things. The kind of AF that proves beyond doubt there's no possibility I could be pg. I did reach a new cycle record of 42 days. Angry

I spent the rest of the weekend pretending not to be in the deep dark hole of despair. Pass me a grip please Sad

WingingIt83 · 22/06/2016 08:57

I'm another 'remainer'. Better the devil you know and all that.

Going back a few pages does anyone know where I can watch the great sperm race? It doesn't seem to be on All4 and the one I found on YouTube said it couldn't play in this country? (Even though it appeared to be by channel 4)

marmitetoast1 · 22/06/2016 08:46

Thanks lovely and jem. Just been listening to my 'girl power' playlist on my commute ha ha. Loving a bit of Kelly Clarkson Stronger 💪🏻

SuchaJem · 22/06/2016 08:19

Kav my parents and siblings are all out - I don't get it at all. Could do with one of your posters for them kwick!

Good luck marmite - stay icy cool and calm is my advice xx

LovelyFishy · 22/06/2016 08:13

I'm also in. The EU may not be perfect but walking away doesn't answer that!

Good luck with your manager today Marmite! If you start feeling a bit freaked out remember some of their bad decisions!

marmitetoast1 · 22/06/2016 07:51

I am firmly in!!! Nervous about what the result will be, but hopeful.

Thanks all I think you're right, i am going to leave it a bit longer and will just pack plenty of tampax plus wee sticks in suitcase and see what happens!!

Jem I can't believe you saw Maggie Smith!! Jealous!

I've booked some time in my managers calendar this morning to discuss my 'concerns' I.e. His total fucking incompetence and unprofessionalism! I'm not very good at confrontation and speaking up though so hope I don't wuss out/cry. Normally I would avoid anything like this but in the circumstances it has to be done...Confused

kwick · 22/06/2016 07:28

I am in!!! I even put up a poster yesterday Grin

kavanaughkj · 22/06/2016 01:43

I'm very much in. Sadly half my family appears to be Leavers. I've been trying to talk them out of it - I just feel like shutting our doors to the rest of the EU and pretending they don't exist is hardly going to help us. We may not have masses of influence now but we'll have even less if we leave (and the Tories will have free rein to do whatever the hell they want without any curbs on their behaviour from EU rulings). Shuddering at the thought.

SuchaJem · 21/06/2016 22:30

Ooh yeah, straw poll.. I'm firmly in Smile

KatOnATinRo0f · 21/06/2016 21:58

Such oh yeah that was this month! Input so much effort into that! And a few extra hours on my journey. Oh well. What's a few hours/months/years in the journey of life.

(Wtf was that optimistic bullshit someone punch me quickly)

Not to worry.

Not sure if this has already been discussed/please ignore me if you don't think it's appropriate... But... Watching the debate... What do we reckon-in/out?

SuchaJem · 21/06/2016 18:32

Bluebird sounds like you are getting closer, hope they can sort you with the clomid whilst your oh waits for his tests.

Ever yes of course!

Kat Sad so sorry, was really hoping to see a bfp after your diversion DTD this month. Hope you're alright, any puppy news?

Marmite the music was really calming and uplifting! And I saw dame Maggie smith ShockShockShock love her. I would probably take some tests with me if I were you. Fx for a little stowaway on your hols!

Hello snarky yes I'll add that date. Sorry it was AF Sad

Hello inspector! Glad you are still around. I don't feel very level headed but I'm trying! Good work on the DTD front, hope you've caught a little something.

Kav that sounds promising! Fx

kwick · 21/06/2016 18:26

Oops did not update my phone before posting...

hep how on earth did you do that? Clearly the vortex of sleep lost its grip on you!

Sorry about tests bluebird Flowers

Welcome back inspector! Fx for twot (2 weeks of torture).

marmite if you wait until you get back, I think that would be worth a gazillion starky stars... Just saying Wink

kwick · 21/06/2016 18:14

Welcome andrewsgirl! You got it - I cannot be your cycle buddy just yet as I am waiting for my AF before I can start IVF again but I can certainly be your friend Smile

I may have just had a bit of a maybelline splurge

kavanaughkj · 21/06/2016 16:00

I think 11 DPO might be a little early, marmite - I'd be tempted to take some sticks with me and test while I was away. If you get a BFN on Saturday that could still be pretty meaningless anyway.

Of course, my self control is pretty pants anyway so I'm the last person who should be telling you to hold back! Good luck though. :)

marmitetoast1 · 21/06/2016 13:41

Haha Hep! I hope you had a productive morning with a bit of peace and quiet and got to look all virtuous being there so early!!

Thanks Snarky, and Lovely. Found your words v helpful actually Snarky. Go for it on job front and puppy front!! How exciting!

Sounds promising Kav, fingers crossed and hold tight!!

I am trying to decide when to test... I was going to wait until AF actually due, but my cycles are still working themselves out. If it was 36 days again, AF would be due 2nd July. But I think(hope?) it may be a bit shorter this time. I am off on holiday on Saturday - which is CD30. And, based on when I think OV occurred, 11dpo. So, do I test on Saturday morning before we go, or do I throw a few wee sticks in the suitcase and give it a bit longer and do it when I'm away? Will I feel a bit freaked out doing it just before getting on plane? Hmm

HepKestrel · 21/06/2016 12:27

fx for you kav !

LovelyFishy · 21/06/2016 12:00

Oooohhh Kav that sounds promising!

Good to see you again Inspector! I think most of us try and spend less time here during tww, until the crazy gets too much and you have to let it all out again!!

kavanaughkj · 21/06/2016 11:59

Hee. I did last night, Penguin, so no Starky Star for me, unfortunately - it was only an internet cheapie but looked like a BFN. I do think it's probably too early though even if I was ... going to give it a couple more days at least before I try again just in case AF actually does make an appearance!

InspectorPenguin · 21/06/2016 11:25

Oh, Kav, that sounds exciting!!

So....... test?.....

kavanaughkj · 21/06/2016 11:21

Good luck to you too, Penguin!

I'm really not sure if I should be up for that July 16 ticket or not now. Body is confusing the ever-living heck out of me. What I thought was AF showing was the world's lightest ever period - either that or it was an implantation bleed. I think it's within the appropriate time window for that - if I ov'd when I think I did, then I started spotting 11 days afterwards, which is in line with an implantation bleed. I wiped pink a day or two - then a tiny amount of blood yesterday morning - then a tiny bit of brown later on. Today nothing. Usually I spot the day before my period and get sucky horrible cramps, with a pretty heavy flow on the first day, so this is REALLY weird. It's either early menopause, an implantation bleed, or AF is fucking with my head.

Thing is, I've not had any cramps yet. Period was officially due today and I'd normally get them a day or two before it arrived.

trying very hard not to get excited Oh it's no good. I am excited, and fuck AF if she's just playing hard to get!

Fingers crossed!

InspectorPenguin · 21/06/2016 11:00

Hello everyone, long time no speak!
I am guilty of doing the disappearing act during my long and drawn out 3 week follicular phase where I try and put all things TTC to the back of my mind. I have missed about 15 pages though so am about to catch up.....

Welcome to the new people! pigsbum, HankPeach, Snarky, Geeup, Modest, Pesky, Peace, AndrewsGirl.

Congrats SkyLucy! What a lovely day/way to get your BFP. I hope you are having a smooth and exciting first few weeks :)

Sorry to those of you having some performance/libido issues. I can totally relate as every long term relationship I've been in before current DP has had problems in that area. I don't know if things are better now because we've only been together 18 months, or if we are genuinely much better suited to each other, but I'm not going to dwell on it too much. In terms of advice the only thing I can really suggest is taking time to connect as friends and spend time having fun together rather than just trying to get on it for 10 mins before you go to sleep. That's as much as I'll say though since everyone's situation is different and very personal so advice from internet strangers is pretty limited in its usefulness!

Orchard, I hope you get some answers soon about your missed periods. That must be incredibly frustrating when you've been regular for so long. At least your tests have come out in normal ranges - that's very encouraging - so fingers crossed it's just a brief blip.

Ever - congrats! Have just got to your BFP post, what wonderful news! And such a lovely line of positive changes and happy events for you too! Star Star

Kwik I'm very pleased AF turned up for you at last and you can start a fresh journey. I'm rooting for you! Thank you for your TWW tips too. I bloody well forgot the milk thing this month Angry. I will not be so lax next time. I have also just gone and replaced my flip flops with socks Grin

Nicky and Kat if you're still reading, I'm sorry to hear of your disappointments and I wish you lots of luck in getting your BFP soon. The chilling out, not obsessing and getting on with life sounds very sensible - life is just too short for added stress and heartache and our lives/careers will change so much when we have kids that we should make the most of them now while we can.

Hi Starky! Glad all is well and hope you had a lovely holiday in Wales. Love the wind/burping/sleeping anecdotes Grin

Alice I'm very sorry to hear about the job. Best of luck finding something better - the three months will fly by I'm sure Flowers

FX I know it's a platitude but 6 months really isn't a worry - that's what I am telling myself! I feel your pain with long cycles though... It feels like there is such a long road ahead every time you get to CD1 that you kind of just go 'Meh. I can't be arsed'. Enjoy your book and see you here in a few weeks :)

Sorry about AF Kav and I hope the doc appointment is useful - can you update with how it goes? I'm looking at the same in a month or so and am interested in seeing what might be said... Have a lovely time on holiday and enjoy all the things you wouldn't be allowed if you were pregnant Flowers

Sorry about your bood results, BlueBird. On the plus, you can now take action and enjoy the wedding. Wishing you all the best.

Well, I think I've just caught up! Sad not to see more BFPs after a few weeks out though. Jem, I was especially hoping to see good news from you. Really sorry last cycle didn't work out Flowers. I hope you had a good time in San Fran and have some nice things coming up over the summer to focus on. You sound very level headed and calm about it all -and are doing a brilliant job managing this thread Star

So no news from this side to report. Got positive OPKs on Sunday and yesterday morning, and maybe on Saturday too although that test looked a bit duff as both lines were quite pale. Managed to DTD Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon and will throw one in for good luck later on too. I haven't had a hint of EWCM though, and no OV pains like I had a couple of months back, so I continue to worry there's no ovulation taking place.
Oh well, the TWW commences so I shall be doing everything I can to distract myself and pretend I don't care what the result is.

Good luck everyone! x
