Anyone done or doing Clomid/ovidrel/IUI?

Had my scan today and looks like I'm about to ovulate. Big follicle 22mm on right side, smaller 18mm on left side and lining is 12mm. Good to go this month, should ovulate within the next couple of days. fingers crossed

My gp was happy to prescribe the 50mg for three months and if nothing happens then I will be referred on.

AFM I'm 8dpo / CD25 (according to temps - only my first month though!) and started spotting but (tmi) heavy and brown - like I'm going to start AF!! It's a week early (although I have spotted this early on last cycle but not this heavy). The only thing I've done differently this month is my one acupuncture session last week and taking pregnacare conception... can either of these have shortened my LP?!

My gp said I'll need to be referred to a gyne if I need to go to 100mg, she said she isn't experienced for the additional issues that could come with the higher dose e.g. Multiples.

I'm like a briar and I'm only on day 3 today. I'm usually easy going but DH is driving me bonkers!! 😳

snowdog I only have 1 follie last time with 50mg but i ovulated on my own anyway so to be honest I thought I would have had more. I've had asked to put my dose up to 100mg but he's refused. I know someone who has left over clomid and I'm dying to up the dose without him knowing with being monitored of course.

Hi again Ladies, my first round didn't work so onto 2nd round. Took clomid days 3-7 this time instead of 2-6 just to see if they'd be any different. I've got my follicle scan tomorrow on cd 13 (didn't ovulate til CD18 last month) so I don't think ill ovulate til after that now. If I ovulate late will I still be in with a chance?

And julia if your anything like me you'll have every symptom under the sun on the 1st round but the 2nd round I've hardly any symtoms at all.

Started round 2 of Clomid last night, no headache as yet today, got a lot of pains in my sides about an hour after taking the tablet. I took it days 5-9 last month but it's 3-7 this month.

So sorry this cycle hasn't worked Julia. Hope you're starting to pick yourself up and look forward to the next cycle. Some ladies on another thread I'm on noted that at our age (I'm 35) 50% of our eggs are possibly duds. That means that even if everything else goes right, it might just never implant because the egg was no good. I'm trying to hold onto that and see this as a course of 3 cycles - odds are on that we'll catch a good one within that time. I guess I'm trying to say don't be too despondent that this first cycle hasn't worked - it doesn't mean clomid won't work for you.

Sorry about the baby bomb maple, it really sucks doesn't it. I've politely declined going out with two of my pregnant friends this weekend - I can do without them ostentatiously drinking water and basking in their fertile-ness together. No thanks. I really better get pregnant soon or I'll have no friends left!

As for me, I'm 5dpo and have no symptoms whatsoever. Pretty sure this hasn't worked. I feel remarkably normal. Thought I'd feel at least a little bit pregnant with the hcg shot but nothing! Anyway, I guess it's too early to tell at this stage so we'll see. Don't plan to test early so waiting for my normal cycle length which is a week on sat when I'll be 17dpo!

Thanks genghis feel better now about it all - helps that she is a stranger and I won't see her again (except at the wedding!) yes 2 weeks and 5 weeks until the appointment! And I have a BBQ and a holiday before then so nice things to look forward to! Are we waiting for AF now for you (or bfp of course!) and you'll start gonal?

Aargh Maple that sucks. I hope you managed to still have a good time...it's amazing how good you get at the fake smiles and congratulations isn't it? Just think, this time next month you'll have had your appointment (I know it's not the same but you're getting one step closer)

I've just vented on another thread but I got baby bombed today at a hen do almost stood up and walked away (I had just got there) but managed a fake smile and congrats. I don't know the girl but couldn't help feel insanely jealous and fucked off about it all!!!

AF is slowly starting since this morning. Day 33 so my cycle has increased by 4 days on my first round of Clomid.

Just glad I know this month is done, I've tried to be laid back but it's been a roller coaster emotionally. On to month two!

Glad to read the acupuncture went well Maple, and hope the throbbing pain wasn't too bad! I'm also surprised about the maybe/maybe not trigger shot, but like you said, they can clarify that at your appointment.

Re. poas, I'm the opposite and tend to test as I find it easier to get my head around knowing AF is on her way for some strange reason. I also think that I'm so used to just seeing the one line now that it no longer seems to faze me .

Star yes I had it done cd25 which would be around a week after I supposedly ovulated. Will ask for the results on 1st I think now as I don't exactly need the results! Just to satisfy my own curiosity! That's true it would be silly not to trigger but the info sheet made it sound like you might get it as opposed to you would! I will ask for it if they don't mention it! I'm excited too!

Oh, and I can't imagine them doing iui without a trigger - it would be such a waste of all that sperm washing if the timid wasn't spot on. I'm excited for you to get going!

julia you're probably right, but truth is you're not out til your period arrives. Not wanting to get your hopes up because yes implantation should have happened by now but maybe your levels aren't high enough yet to be detected. Although they do say that Clomid can lengthen your cycle. Fingers crossed for you.

maple they're a good set of results. Did you have your progesterone done 7dpo? Or I guess 7 days after you think you should ovulate? If you can get the hang of temping and use fertility friend then I think you should be able to work it out. But yes, chase them for the results. Or will you get them on the 1st?

Star I've had all the bloods and Hycosy:

AFC - 17
AMH - 15
FSH - 4.3
LH - 3.4
E2 - 92

Just need to get my progesterone results. Consultant did say I had ovulated though (but first set with GP they didn't think I had).

DH had 2 SA, one came back a bit low on morphology but second normal - again I don't have the results written down.

Hycosy all normal, tilted womb but that's it!

Hoping the clomid will help when I go through IUI! And really hope I get to trigger as opposed to letting it happen naturally!

I got an ovulation smiley on CD18, so I am estimating I ovulated on CD19, so that would be DPO13, if I ovulated on CD20 then I'm on DP12. Surely though implantation would have happened by now. Plus my boobs don't feel different, my appetite is gone bonkers but that could be pre AF. I remember on DD1 I just knew I was pregnant and the pregnancy test was just a formality, I wish I could remember how I knew!

What dpo are you though Julia? It might be too early for a positive.

Hi girls, I'm on CD32, no sign of AF. Lower back pain but a BNF yesterday. I presume my cycle has lengthened from 29 days to later with the Clomid.

I don't feel pregnant and I'm just waiting for AF to show up now so I can start month 2.

I'm a bit down with the BNF, I don't want to go on at DH about it because I don't want to upset him. I'll shake myself in a few hours.

Mine never does either maplejust when the stakes are really high, like 36hrs after a trigger shot!

So what tests have you had? You may have said on the other thread but I can't remember. Do you temp? In some ways, if you're not ovulating that can actually be quite a simple problem to fix and for lots of people clomid does the job.

Got my fingers crossed for you star! I've never been able to pinpoint ovulation and acupuncturist didn't sound convinced I was - really need to find out my progesterone results as they're the only ones I don't know!

Good effort on the sex front, mine doesn't get performance anxiety but it must be so hard for them to on demand. Hope your DH doesn't get too upset about it?

I don't ever test too! Mainly because I spot before so even if AF is late if I have spotting I know it's coming so don't bother. I think I've done a couple over the last 16 months but hate seeing the stark white!!
