Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

Ah I can imagine that's hard. I think we've just been lucky this month as we've both just had a week off. Back to reality tomorrow though. Hope you get a good rest tonight and that pesky witch stays away X

Writerwannabe83 · 05/06/2016 22:10

I'm feeling ok, I've just snuggled down into bed after a long day at work and I'm feeling super relaxed. I'm still on constant knicker watch but nothing to report.

I'm definitely putting more effort into sex next month. It's so hard though as I'm constantly tired as I'm up at 5.30am every morning, and I'm either at home chasing a toddler all day or I'm out at work for 14 hours. By the time DS goes to bed, or by the time I'm home from work I'm just so shattered that the thought of having sex isn't remotely appealing - I just want a cup of tea and some sleep Grin

Poppydm · 05/06/2016 22:01

Tonight will be five and I feel like I might not sit down for a week BlushWink
He thinks it's great! I've learned this month now though so he can buggar off if he thinks this is happening every cycle ha ha. Fingers crossed we've done enough and got lucky. How are you feeling today writer?

Writerwannabe83 · 05/06/2016 21:56

That's a great effort with all the sex poppy - I can't ever imagine having enough energy for having sex four times a week, my DH wouldn't know what hit him Grin

Poppydm · 05/06/2016 21:49

Ah thanks so much ladies. Really appreciate your help. My DH is loving life at the minute Grin

Eva30 · 05/06/2016 21:43

poppy good idea to keep and number them I'm going to try that!
The day you think you ov, count from there for dpo and that's when the dreaded tww starts X

Eva30 · 05/06/2016 21:40

poppy it's a strong line so I'd say ov is on its way and definitely dtd. Do another tomorrow and see what it's like. I got one like that in the evening and then the next day it was really dark so I took that one as the positive.

Poppydm · 05/06/2016 21:39

Ah thanks writer. We're on four times this week so far, last time was yesterday morning so think will DTD again tonight. When would you class the TWW to start? Or how do people calculate the dpo? Sorry for being such a novice Blush

Just done another OPK and I think it's darker again. Thanks again X

June Bus anyone?!
BertieBotts · 05/06/2016 21:31

Pearl with OPKs you need the line to be darker than the control. They will always have a faint line all the way through.

Writerwannabe83 · 05/06/2016 21:30

I would definitely class that as a possible. Remember though it's the sex in the lead up to ovulation that's the most important as opposed to ovulation day itself. Have you had lots of DTD over the last few days?

I think that's where me and DH went wrong this month as we only DTD on the day before and day after ovulation.

Poppydm · 05/06/2016 21:27

Ladies, please can anyone help me? Is this a positive OPK or not quite? It's not quite as dark as the control line but not far off. It's my first cycle and the first time I've had a result like this. I think I'm around CD17. Sorry to ask on here but I've posted a thread and had no replies and just wondering if I defo need to make sure we DTD tonight?

June Bus anyone?!
BertieBotts · 05/06/2016 21:25

I haven't done OPKs but from reading various forums etc the tips I've picked up are to do them twice a day in the suspected fertile window or even three times, because the window can be only a few hours, use the second morning wee and an afternoon one and to try and hold for 3-4 hours before doing one.

babydances · 05/06/2016 21:24

Thanks everyone. I'm watching sex and the city boxset which is a decent distraction. I don't think I can resist testing tomorrow morning. I'll be 11dpo.
Sorry to hear that some people's af have arrived. writer I'm guessing your cycles are a bit out of sync with BF.
If we don't all make the June bus let's all be on the July one together.
Similarly it would be great to stay on the same thread when we do get out bfp latest xxxxx

Pearl34 · 05/06/2016 21:23

Evening all - tried my first ever ovulation test today.. a faint line is definitely there. Problem is I have given my DH thrush and so understandably he isn't keen. This will be our first and I have found this thread very helpful to get me started!

Tryingtowait · 05/06/2016 21:16

Sorry to the ones whose af arrived and good luck to those who af stayed away so far.

Af due today for me and it's not here yet. Got frer arriving in post tomorrow so if it stays away will test I keep going from symptom spotting convincing myself I am pregnant to talking myself down that it's been 6 months and nothing. Guess I'll soon find out

Eva30 · 05/06/2016 19:57

Sorry for all that AF got.
I went visiting my friend and her newborn today and I was like I want my BFP right this second!!Grin

Eva30 · 05/06/2016 19:54

foxglove I don't feel pg at all but only early (4 or 5 dpo). I'm hoping I'm one of those people that don't get symptoms! I am going to test next weekend. When will you be testing?
babydances I feel for you. I think that phase between getting a bfn and AF starting is the most depressing. However I definitely see the faint line. Try again tomorrow & tues with FMU? Fx for you, chin up Flowers

Poppydm · 05/06/2016 19:32

Congratulations LidikaFlowers

Sorry to hear of AFs that have arrived. Writer I've still got everything crossed for you and you Babydances.

MrsGsnow I feel your pain. I haven't been going as long as you but have also never had a positive opk. I'm hoping it's just down to me testing at the wrong time, not often enough and with a rubbish sample (not waiting long enough, drinking too much etc). Could this be the same for you?

BertieBotts · 05/06/2016 19:14

Babydances maybe it helps, maybe it doesn't, but I found the charts on countdowntopregnancy.com helpful when I was worrying about squinters because the stats on when women got their first BFP were really reassuring - it's much rarer to get one early than these forum posts seem to suggest and even at the much later dates some of the figures were only about 80% and these are taken from women who later report that they definitely were pregnant so it's reassuring.

DH is running around after me and putting his hand on my belly and being all "I know it's silly but I just have a feeling" Confused well I don't think HE will last until one week after my period is due at this rate! Perhaps I should hold out just to annoy him Grin

Congrats Lidika Flowers

MrsGsnow18 · 05/06/2016 19:02

Sorry to hear about everyone who's had AF arrive! This bus is a gloomy place today!
I have been so emotional today, weeping over the slightest thing. I understand babydances I'm on cycle 6 and today getting another neg OPK just broke me.
I have NEVER had a positive OPK. All daily POAS (OPKs) and then every month POAS (HPT) and just want one little line to appear just once an OPK so I can be normal and know that I ovulate!! ( sorry rant over!)

It is so hard to not obsess over ttc and it really is such an emotional journey!

Writerwannabe83 · 05/06/2016 18:47

Hi guys, I'm messaging whilst on my lunch break at work. I'm feeling really odd today, not faint as such but just fuzzy and detached. Still no sign of my period. All aches and cramps have gone though and no more recent brown/orange residue on toilet paper so I'm still just plodding along waiting for AF. After my odd experience with the curry last night I did test again this morning and it was yet again a total BFN. I really wish my period would arrive so I knew what was happening!

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit blue babydances - it really does take over your life and because the prospect of being pregnant is so overwhelmingly exciting it can cause a big emotional crash when it appears it hasn't happened each month. You are still really early days though so please don't lose hope just yet.

Sorry to hear about the arrival of periods, crappy and disappointing news Sad

But we're all in it together for support and handholding and we can all hop on the July bus together too Smile

SoozC · 05/06/2016 18:42

Don't worry babydances, we all feel this way sometimes. I felt particularly bad cycles 2 and 3 but am sadly getting used to it. Don't give up hope. I hope you feel happier soon. Hugs.

LidikaLikes · 05/06/2016 18:41

Hi all.

I got a BFP today.

I am now pregnant with DC3 and it's very surreal!

Hadn't been checking temps, signs or anything. Just must have DTD at correct time.

Hopefully other June ladies join me soon.

All the best to everyone on this thread for the future. Brew

FriendlyGhost · 05/06/2016 16:20

Sorry you're feeling so down babydances. It's still really early days for you this month and all tests and samples are different so the bfns may mean nothing. It's about the earliest possible time to get a positive so I don't think it means much at this stage. I know what it means for it to take over your life. It's all I think about too at the moment. Am I right in saying you've already got dc? If you've done it before then you can do it again and until you do we're all here for handholding.

babydances · 05/06/2016 14:07

Apologies in advance but I'm feeling very down.
This ttc is really hard going and I'm only on cycle 2! It's stressful, takes over your life. I'm feeling really fed up. I've done two super drug tests to check my faint lien this morning and bfn. Ttc is so overwhelming and feels impossible. I know many have been doing this for longer but I'm just feeling fed up
