Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

Hello, all! Can I join in, please?

I'm 25, TTC#1, lost track of cycles but it's been over 3 years of trying. Had my 3rd MC at the end of March so expecting AF any day now and hoping for some good luck next month!

Sunshineface123 · 16/05/2016 21:35

Hope everyone's ok? Hi MrsGSnow. Just considering starting with the OPKs again Tomo (cd6), didn't Ov till cd17 last month tho but thought would be prepared. Tried temping but didn't think it told me much/was a bit of a pain!

MrsGsnow18 · 16/05/2016 21:30

Hi everyone, can I hop onboard too? Really hoping for June now!

lizziedoll I was chatting to a friend over the weekend who it turns out is TTC and also has recurrent BV. She says regular baths with a cup or two of Epsom salts dissolved in the water really help keeping it at bay and preventing infection once it's been treated. The salts don't kill bacteria but they help rebalance pH and supposedly work wonders.

Hello Mamafernand welcome to the June bus
everdene are you in your FW then? Sad

MamaFern · 16/05/2016 08:59

Hi ladies, can i join too?

TTC #2

I don't have a cycle at the moment because I've only just stopped breastfeeding DS. Getting some signs of it coming back (cramps, hormones, CM) so I'm thinking it's worth trying anyway!

everdene · 15/05/2016 22:58

DH is too stressed to Dtd tonight... This might need a miracle to get a BFP for June!

babydances · 15/05/2016 15:18

Thank you ginandjazz I'm considering the OPK tests. I have my anaesthetic appointment mid June to check allergy before they can take implant out so may just dtd every day or two and see what happens. The implant is 8 months out of date so I'm hoping it's no longer working Hmm 8 days till Fw apparently

Blondie0912 · 15/05/2016 14:19

Hi girls- can I jump on the June bus with you all?
Age-27
Cycle #3
TTC #1
ETD 9th of June as well!!!!!!!
Just got diagnosed with PCOS a few weeks ago so likely that nothing will happen until I am able to get some medicine to help ovulation but I'm still gonna hold out hope anyways- you never know!!!!!!! Hope you're all enjoying the beautiful weather today!

Lizziedoll · 15/05/2016 12:30

Yes I have but it keeps coming back Sad I'm seeing a specialist on Thursday, fingers crossed!

everdene · 15/05/2016 09:19

I started with a normal thermometer Contessa but had to get a new one so upgraded to a bbt thermometer - it was about £4 on Amazon.

One thing I found it good for last time was letting me know I wasn't pregnant so I wasn't disappointed when AF arrived!

LidikaLikes · 15/05/2016 08:51

barefoot I used to chart my chart & temperatures as contraception prior to TTC.

Used a normal digital thermometer, got it from local chemist, about £5-£10.

Barefootcontessa84 · 15/05/2016 08:12

Also welcome sunshineface! everdene as this is my first month TTC I'm thinking of keeping it simple/not tracking etc, but I imagine if it takes a few months I'll be wanting to do all I can! Do you need a special thermometer to take BBT or just one that would check you have a temperature?

Thanks Lizziedoll and sorry you're miserable Flowers have you spoken to the GP about it?

Sounds like you have thrush. The only symptom I get with BV is an embarrassing fishy odor after sex (sorry if tmi). The balance activ pessaries I use prior to having sex sort it out so my partner never actually noticed but I also know they can prevent you from getting pregnant. So I have two options, either stop using them and my partner noticing the BV or keep using them and not conceiving or making it much harder :( it's a horrible situation I'm in and I'm miserable

Sunshineface123 · 14/05/2016 17:42

My first post! Hope it's ok to join in. On Cd3 now, was convinced conceived last month but wasn't to be so hoping for a June BFP!

I was diagnosed with bv without knowing I had it! But apparently it can give you discharge which smells and disrupted bacteria.

I had antibiotics and have been fine since (this was years ago).

Got a new bbt thermometer yesterday!

Barefootcontessa84 · 14/05/2016 09:39

Hi Lizziedoll I don't really know the symptoms of BV but I was certainly, err, 'irritated' when DH and I started having regular unprotected sex at the beginning of May (bit of a practise run before cycle started again Wink).

Sorry TMI, but I've never had any issues before so was unsure what it was and so had a go with the canesten (though itching wasn't too bad and it was more sore). Seems to have calmed down a bit but am slightly worried that it might happen again and I'll struggle DTD as often as I'd like! Has anyone ever had this before?

If you don't mind me asking what are the symptoms of BV?

Lizziedoll · 14/05/2016 09:18

Did a third test this morning...bfn :(! AF is 2 weeks late so I feel it's just a hormonal imbalance. I'm hungry all the time and I've put on so much weight, assumed I was pregnant. Guess not! Anyone else suffers from BV? I feel this may be why I'm not getting pregnant... :( Seeing my gynaecologist on Thursday and will hopefully get some answers! Have a lovely weekend everyone :)

GinandJazzHands · 13/05/2016 19:24

Worth saying too as my cycles are long and irregular I've had a few 'false' surges on the OPKs which in the first cycle tricked me into thinking OV had happened. That's why I now like temping to be able to confirm OV with a temp shift - my temps are pretty rocky but I can have been able to confirm OV twice now that way so it's giving me more confidence knowing when to ease off on the DTD.

GinandJazzHands · 13/05/2016 19:20

Hi everyone CD10 here and just checking in. lizzie and babydances I empathise with the irregular long cycles. Hoping mine are just a symptom of coming off the implant six months ago. Only had three full cycles in that time but the last one was shorter so hope they will continue to get shorter. babydances I use cheap Internet OPKs and do one everyday, upping it to two a day when the lines start to get darker. Ovia and FF are always wrong with irregular cycles as they look for a pattern, so I find combining OPKs with temping and DTD as much as we can to be the best method for me. Most cycles we have run out of puff a bit by the time OV happens but we are trying in earnest to stick to the SMEP this month. Good luck to everyone!!

Lizziedoll · 13/05/2016 14:07

Hi ladies

I'm 29 and ttc #1, June will be month 3 for me. I have various gynaecological issues and irregular periods so for me it's all about having lots of unprotected sex and keeping everything crossed! I never got my period this month but took two tests and both were bfn's :(

Good luck everyone! Wink

iwillbemrsminty · 13/05/2016 11:17
