June Bus anyone?!

Hi all

I thought I'd start the June bus as I'm getting impatient!

I'm 31 (for a bit longer anyway), TTC#1. DH and I agreed to start TTC in May, but won't be ovulating till about the 24th. ETD 8th June! Feeling terrified and excited at the same time.

Join me if you will! Smile

Hold out for a few more days. Maybe do one a week until AF shows up? One every three days? If it's taking so long to show up it probably wouldn't be strong immediately anyway. Whether that's a bad sign is another question.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 22:42

Lol @ SMA Curry, that's quite a funny typo. No wonder it tasted so weird Grin

My DH wanted some action tonight and even though I had weird, random, unexplainable EWCM earlier I'm just totally not in the mood for sex. I feel a little bit sick too.

Part of me is tempted to test again in the morning but I just know there's no point.

BertieBotts · 04/06/2016 22:34

Gah how annoying writer! The curry thing is weird though. What is an SMA curry anyway? Is it made with baby milk? :o

I jumped on DH when he said he had a craving today. He had cravings last time. I know it's stupid but there you go :o

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 22:26

It's bizarre. I have fully accepted now that I'm not pregnant so I wish all these stupid mind f**ks would go away and AF would just arrive Grin

BeBopTalulah · 04/06/2016 22:03

I've had the best part of a bottle of prosecco tonight, had a BBQ with family. That's how I cheered myself up Grin

Those curry symptoms would make me think twice! However, I was really hopeful at 9/10dpo when I had the WEIRDEST dreams and couldn't stop sleeping during the day. The subconscious mind is a total cow.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 21:33

I swear my mind is playing tricks on me. Me and DH have ordered SMA curry tonight, the same curry I always have that I totally love and I physically can't eat it. It just tastes different to the point where I don't like it.

There's so much negativity at the moment on the bus, too many AF's starting to show, what can we do to cheer ourselves up?

BeBopTalulah · 04/06/2016 21:22

AF is due for me today, haven't tested since 9dpo (bfn), now 14 dpo but sure AF is on her way for me too Sad Looking forward to making a proper attempt from next week. I keep telling myself that I have a long way to go Smile

Laura05 · 04/06/2016 21:05

Hi ladies, just a quick update. I had a little pink when I wiped this afternoon and then again when I wiped just now so AF will definitely make an appearance late tonight/early morning Sad

everdene · 04/06/2016 19:36

Just checking in, I did a hpt today and got a bfn Sad

I'm due AF tomorrow so I think I'll be on the July bus... Going to be really healthy and Dtd lots this month!

Poppydm · 04/06/2016 18:40

In these early days it's really hard to know what is going on. I'm just trying not to overthink things - so hard at times as it's hard to know when to DTD, when it's 2WW, when AF is due etc. You never know, if your cycles are a bit irregular the BFNs could just be down to timing? Really hope AF stays away for you Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 18:25

I have no idea really Grin

I had the Mirena coil in where I bled constantly and after 12 months of having it in I had it removed for TTC purposes. I fell pregnant within four weeks but sadly miscarried.

Since my miscarriage I've had two cycles (I wasn't ready to TTC again straight away) and one cycle lasted 35 days and the other lasted 31 days.

God knows what this cycle is doing Grin

Poppydm · 04/06/2016 18:06

You never know, it's not over until AF arrives. Are your cycles usually regular?

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 17:54

I'm ok, just feeling a bit gutted about the BFNs. With my last two pregnancies I conceived both times on the first cycle so am kind of bummed it hasn't happened this time. I know I have just been super lucky in the past though and that I need to be a bit more patient Smile

Poppydm · 04/06/2016 17:17

Thanks for the advice writer. Will just have to wait and see what happens. FX that AF stays away for you. How are you feeling?

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 16:38

jess - I'm highly unlikely to be pregnant as my period is due today but I'm still getting BFNs. I have been using the FRERS which can detect pregnancy 6 days before you're period is due and they are saying negative too. I'm not even getting faint lines, they are the whitest, blankets negatives I have ever seen Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 16:35

Every woman will usually have a line when they test wherever they are in their cycle as the LH hormone is always present in our system whether we are ovulating or not.

I would recommend you check more frequently as there's a very good chance you may miss your surge if you're only checking in 24 hour intervals.

One month I went from negative, to positive and then back to a faint line again all within about 14 hours so if I hadn't had been checking it frequently I would have wrongly thought I'd not ovulated even though I had.

If your're on CD16 then it's possible you've already missed it your positive result but as long as you're having regular sex then don't stress yourself over it.

JessJR23 · 04/06/2016 16:31

writer maybe you are preggers? I had BFN on 11pdo and only v v faint 12dop but bfp on CB. Which tests are you using? X

Poppydm · 04/06/2016 16:16

I've just been testing once per day. Most days there is a line, just not dark. This is only my first 'real' cycle. I came off the pill (cilest) at the end of March and had a withdrawal bleed. 26 days later, I had a small bleed which I think was my first real AF so classing that as CD1, I'm now on CD16. Just hope I am ovulating. Trying not to overthink everything and enjoy the trying with my DH. Not sure how long that will last before I am completely obsessed!! Will DTD again tomorrow and then wait to test in a few weeks. It's hard as I've no clue when AF is due to know if I'm late etc.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 16:11

poppy - how often are you using OPKs? The general idea is that you do them twice a day in the lead up to expected ovulation and that second morning urine is better than first morning urine. When I approached the day I thought I would be ovulating I actually tested three times a day.

The surge can happen really quickly and I went from a totally negative OPK to a very dark line in the space of 2.5 hours.

I read somewhere that optimal testing is firstly using second morning urine and then testing again at about 4pm.

Poppydm · 04/06/2016 15:49

Its the not knowing what's going on that drives you crazy. Hopefully your AF will stay away and you'll get a BFP soon. Are
You going to test again tomorrow? I'm on CD16 and have been DTD pretty much every other day. Been using OPKs but haven't had a positive yet. How accurate are they? My last cycle was only 26 days and Ovia said that I'm now within my fertile week. Think we'll try and DTD again tomorrow then see if we've managed to do enough to get a BFP this month. I'll be testing in around two weeks. Going to try not to stress about it too much. Lots of baby dust to you all X

Kn33 · 04/06/2016 15:44

Writer
I kid you not
The same thing has literally just happened to me (well sort of, no opk's here)
Still no AF
Still all BFN's
Just laying on the sofa
Awful cramping
(TMIBlush) felt a bit wet
Got up expecting it to be AF
But nope, EWCM

what the hell in hell is going on HmmConfused

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 15:32

It sounds like you're well read up on the matter friendlyghost - I had ever really considered that BF could alter things.

I've just done another OPK and whereas this morning's was very strong it is now practically negative Confused

I officially give up and I guess I will just have to regularly DTD whilst waiting to see if and when my period will arrive Confused

Butterpuff · 04/06/2016 14:33

That's interesting friendly. I think I'm out this month as feeling pms. I'm too lazy to chart so will have to go back to every other day dtd through the month to catch the egg whenever it comes.

FriendlyGhost · 04/06/2016 13:24

I've done quite a lot of reading on breastfeeding and getting pregnant and you can have cycles without ovulation but these are usually if your af returns within a few months of the baby being born. If your af returns later then they're more likely to be fertile ones. As you've been pregnant already you are probably ovulating again. Is your ds feeding more than usual at the moment? Breastfeeding hormones can interfere with the balance of hormones making you ovulate late. They can cause a short luteal phase due to low progesterone so this could be the case here?

Writerwannabe83 · 04/06/2016 12:39

The problem is what with temping it has to be really precise and I'm up 1-2 times a night with DS so my recordings would never be valid as you have to have a set number of uninterrupted hours of sleep I think before temping and do it at the same time each morning.

Apparently cycles without ovulation occurring can happen in women who are breast feeding...
