Ah well i hope that you have some good news from the tests then :)
You can bold people so they can see you mean them by putting * * around their names. It doesnt tag them as such, just makes it clear who you mean. These ladies are great :)
I also have a child already, my dd is 7 next month.she took 9 months to conceive but i had monthly periods and tracked ovulation the last 2 months and ovulated both times. I don't know what happened but like others on here have strong suspicions the pill was involved!!!!

SusieBu16 · 11/05/2016 22:19

Hiya Shellbell0403, thanks for that. I have ovulation tests galore in the cupboard but I have been a bit half hearted with them. Must try harder! I am based in Catterick now, moved here from Ayrshire in January.
How do you tag people in your posts? Bear with me I am new to mumsnet and posting lol X

SusieBu16 · 11/05/2016 22:15

Thanks so much ladies Flowers it feels good being able to talk about it!
@mysteriousbat (not sure how to work this yet!) I don't think I do personally, hence the second opinion not that we have moved. I have bad skin and really heavy or really light AF but that's it! I don't like putting a label on it, so I definitely want a second opinion, hopefully soon!
I look forward to learning along the way, who thought so much thought and planning and tears would go into baby making!!
I already have a 5 year old son from a previous relationship (he was a little surprise as I was on the pill) so I know I can get pregnant...I just irrationally worry that something happened and its mucked me up inside Confused
Anyway thank you for welcoming me to the thread and as I learn and figure out things hopefully I can help you guys too xx

mysteriousbat · 11/05/2016 22:13

blondie I was a bit scared to begin with too as in right off the pill when you amke the decision it's a bit like eeek are we really doing this?! In a good way but still!

Shellbell0403 · 11/05/2016 22:11

Hey ladies, sorry went quiet, feel really down today!!

village nah unfortunately not implantation 😣

drew thanks huni!! Your right, it's such a horrible feeling!!!

susie welcome aboard!! We are all here to help you with any problems, questions, rants/raves tears and all!! I have pco (s) that's the cysts on the ovaries but not really any other symptoms except the problem with weight loss! Blood sugar etc all OK. Although pcos is a bitch you will get there with all of us!! Myself and my oh started trying in aug 14 after our wedding but I actually didn't get my tabs until Jan when I lost weight but got all my scans and all before the tabs! Maybe just need a wee helping hand with the tabs for ovulating..
Regarding temping etc it can help as long as do it at same time etc every day and really opks they don't really work for us as we can give false surges etc! Where are you based if don't mind me asking?

barsons and mysterious hope your cycles settle down!

elle how you doing?

So here I am back to day one 😭 village drew are we cycle buddies this month? Haha xx

Hi Susie - good luck for your scans and blood test! I was recently in a very similar position and I agree- never imagined I'd have to think about all this stuff- assumed I'd get pregnant as soon as I came off the pill! Actually was scared initially!!!! This thread though is awesome - the ladies are so helpful, you'll learn loads from them, and there are so many people going through the same things Grin we're all in it together!

AmyC86 · 11/05/2016 21:45

Susie, I have pcos and have been given clomid which helps to grow the eggs into mature ones which will be good for sperm.

If you have regular periods you.might just need a little help along the way xx

I've been told that temping and opks sticks are crap of you have pcos because of the high probability to get a false positive

mysteriousbat · 11/05/2016 21:29

barsons i am on....well its 401 days since i stopped the pill and apart from the withdrawal bleed a few days after ive2 had absolutely nothing :( so ttc is actually a bit of a joke really as it's physically impossible really!! I know my doctor won't do anything cos I'm waiting for a referral to the fertility clinic and they want to leave it all up to them. Which I understand to a point but it is a bit ridiculous now.
Hi susie. Do you have other symptoms aside from the scan? I was told ovaries with multiple cysts aren't necessarily pcos. Hope the further testing gives you a better idea x

SusieBu16 · 11/05/2016 20:51

Hi ladies

Can I join in?

I'm new to this and also kinda new to TTC with suspected PCOS (was told on 2014 after a scan) now that hubby and I have been trying since wedding in November and nothing seems to be happening.

Need to get serious now. I have no idea what I'm up against with PCOS tbh. And I have tried a couple of threads here with no real response :( I'm a bit shit at all this.

Nobody else to talk to other than my hubby as we are keeping it all to ourselves. He is in military and away at the moment and we recently moved in January..so bit lonely tonight.

Going to hospital tomorrow for scan and bloods on Monday for second opinion..my AF doesn't seem to be irregular but not sure if I'm ovulating properly.

How do you all cope? I'm not sure about all the temp charting etc :( it's all a minefield that I never thought I would have to worry about..

Susie x

Ladies, are there any metformin experts who can help me with a question please? When you first go on it (I'm in week 3 now) does it mess you up a bit? Last period lasted 4 days which is a couple of days shorter than normal and finished last weds. Today I've been mega hormonal, like I'm due on and although I've not got proper cramps, my belly feels a bit grumbly if that makes sense. Also grumpy and crying for no reason. Is this a normal side effect or have I just lost the plot? Confused
Also, just been reading through the recent posts, huge congrats to the new BFPers! Smile

DrewOB1 · 11/05/2016 16:05

I have cycles but I went back on the pill for a few months when mine went completely haywire as it seems to settle them

Barsons83 · 11/05/2016 15:46

Mysterious I'm on day 125 and the cycle before this one was 127. What day are you on?

mysteriousbat · 11/05/2016 14:15

Does everyone here have a cycle without any drugs? Am I the only one who's been so long without one, I'm getting a bit worried

mysteriousbat · 11/05/2016 14:14

village did you have anyswabs or anything done? I had a chlamydia test and various others as part of my pre-referral screening. OH would have had some serious explaining too since mine were all clear when i had the coil fitted a couple of years ago lol.
Sorry to hear that Shell. Have a good cry, I think sometimes you just need to.

DrewOB1 · 11/05/2016 11:45

Shell Flowers I hate the 2 weeks when you know it's failed and you just have to wait :(

ellewalk · 11/05/2016 11:29

I never tried conceive plus I only used pre-seed. I bought it off Amazon about £18.00 if my memory serves me right. Most users were saying not to use the 4g it recommends but around 2g. When you get it you get some plastic applicators, a bit like tampon applicators but longer. They have lines on the side so you can measure how much you have in the tube and in it goes. Since I am normally in charge of when we have sex i wished i would nip to loo about 15-30 mins before and get it up there ready. When i ran out of applicators we just used it as a 'normal' lube. What I will say is I cannot rate pre-seed enough for me. As someone is normally dry or creamy, it made things a whole lot more comfortable so I could really enjoy it! I will continue using it.

It was a nice surprise to see EWCM this cycle, I don't really see it. They say that Evening Primrose Oil can help. I though what the hell. Bought some cheap tablets from Home Bargains and just cracked on with them, CD1 until ovulation. You must not take them after ovulation apparently. I wish I could tell you ladies that they worked, I just don't know. I can say that I took them this cycle only, I had EWCM (good and proper) and so far so good, BFP!

VillageFete · 11/05/2016 10:20

Oh Shell i'm sorry Sad I'm not too clued up on it all but is there any chance that spotting (at this point) could be down to implantation?

Question of the day - can clomid make you psycho?! I have PMT times 100 today. Feel very vulnerable & weepy. My DD had an allergic reaction to suncream and so I told the teacher and I explained that if it goes hot will she not put any of the school's suncream on DD. I explained it was my suncream that caused the reaction, but didn't want to risk the school's doing the same. I then explained that I was buying the sensitive one today. Teacher laughed and said I was very presumptuous Hmm Now, the definition of presumptuous is arrogant, over confident and bold. WTF?! Normally i'd not care, but today i've cried, been extremely angry and pissed off, so I will have to grab 5 mins with her at the end of the school day to ask her to clarify what she meant. How on earth can she call me presumptuous after that conversation?! Am I missing something? (She's made digs at me before, not the first time, but I usually don't care. Today I do)

Shellbell0403 · 11/05/2016 10:01

Morning ladies...

So looks as though AF might be making an appearance today! Went to the toilet and have some spotting. Actually sitting in the toilet crying like a wee girl!! Seems to be although I told myself I wasn't getting my hopes up this month that it's made it worse!!

MegGriffin1 · 10/05/2016 22:20

Fete I don't think they'd pick it up from your bloods. I had a test before getting with DH and so did he so I assume we're clear!

DrewOB1 · 10/05/2016 22:18

If you didn't drink while TTC, you'd never drink!

Shellbell0403 · 10/05/2016 21:07

village get on the vino!!! Might work extra 😉😄

VillageFete · 10/05/2016 21:05

ADVICE PLEASE!!! Oops, forgot to add, i'm at a wedding this Friday (day time guest) I will be on around day 3 of my cycle so will be taking my clomid. Do you think alcohol will prevent it from working? I rang the nurse and all she said was "we would advise anyone ttc not to drink alcohol at all" Hmm She wouldn't answer when I asked if alcohol had a negative affect on clomid doing its job.

VillageFete · 10/05/2016 21:02

Meg All sounds promising. You have the ball rolling now. I never thought of a chlamydia test?! Do you think they would know from my bloods if that was an issue for me? If it was then DP would have some serious explaining to do!

shell What's letrozole? Similar to clomid? How many months worth have they given you?

elle I get very little CM throughout my cycle, and what I do get is creamy. Do you think it's worth me using conceive plus this month?

Shellbell0403 · 10/05/2016 20:14

elle Iv been off the pill two years come August. Think I'll try epo also next cycle
