Nurse oh I really do hope this is all resolved soon & you get the answers you need to start moving forward with ttc.

mysterious In hindsight, I think after I get a positive ovulation result, af usually arrives 16/17 days later. I rarely get positives though. Do you think my blood test result could be misleading now? I had them done on day 22 & it was in line with ovulation.

Nurse15 · 13/05/2016 14:06

shell and bat they can't be sure of the septum until they do surgery so the doctor yesterday recommended stopping ttc because of the high risk of complications if it turns out to be a full septum (basically half a womb) - hoping my consultant may be able to bump me up the waiting list a bit as the surgery is now treating an issue rather than the previous reason of being just having a nosey at things

Shellbell0403 · 13/05/2016 11:56

nurse they have said mine will be OK and I can have a baby etc full term just keep an eye etc. It depends where the heart shaped is. It might just be that you need surgery for the blockage? My friend got surgery and she fell pregnant about 5 months later.

village if af shows I would phone the clinix

mysteriousbat · 13/05/2016 11:33

frazzle sorry you're still not seemingly getting much sense out of the consultant. Really hope these tests shed some light on it all for you
nurse so are you having to stop ttc until 6th june? If it's full septum does that mean the womb is basically divided in half?
drew i might have a look at that book myself, i was diagnosed 5 months ago and feel like I have read everything on the internet lol but there is such a lot of conflicting information and so much on the net you don't know the source of.
village have you ever tracked the time from ovulation to af before? Cos i know in general that part of the cycle is fixed, it's the first part leading up to ovulation than can wildly vary...you probably already know that, just if you've tracked it before and it's off from your normal then that would be strange

mysteriousbat · 13/05/2016 11:17

1-2 is how many weeks past conception cwtchy, so if your 4 weeks 1-2 is bang on xx

CwtchyQ · 13/05/2016 11:13

Thanks for the best wishes guys. Not sure when I ovulated so am either 4+2 or 5 tomorrow. Either way, clearblue is still showing 1-2 weeks so it cannot be good news. Just waiting to bleed tbh, I know it sounds depressing but I just know this isn't going to work out and I'd like it to happen sooner rather than later. If it happens soon, I don't need any intervention do I? I just manage it at home? TIA

Nurse15 · 13/05/2016 10:56

Hello again!

Shell Snap!! what where you told about it? the doctor yesterday just said i would definately need surgery and they recommend using contraception until it's all been sorted, She said she wasnt sure if it was a full septum or not but if it is a full septum the risk of rupture and needing a hysterectomy was very high.

CwtchyQ fingers and toes crossed for you! I'd imagine once it gets to a certain level of darkness (really bad grammer!!) that it doesnt get any darker just with how much dye there is in the tests??

Frazzle Not sure, seeing my consultant on 6th of june so will wait and see what she says, the doctor who did my dye test yesterday said she would see my consultant on Sunday and give her a verbal update about it too. Just feel like everytime i have an appointment something else shows up "wrong" you know? Hope youre doing okay!

Village will have to wait and speak to my consultant on 6th june to see what she says, I was on the waiting list for an exploratory lap anyway so i guess she will maybe sue that to do everything in one go, the waiting list is 18 months and i was out on it January so won't be until next year anyway!

Shellbell0403 · 13/05/2016 10:40

village nah you probably ovulated on the right date but your af is probably just being a cow! Lol xx

OP posts:
VillageFete · 13/05/2016 10:36

Cwtchy Keep us all updated on his things progress. I'm sure this will be your happy ending, although I know after all this PCOS shit it must seem too good to be true.

nurse Ok, so can the problem be fixed? Hopefully as soon as it is then you'll find yourself with that BFP.

Frazzle You really are having a time of it. You NEED answers! It's such a lonely place to be.

shell Still no AF, but i'm still not pregnant! Does this mean I ov'd later than the nurse suggested I would? Worried my day 22 blood test is inaccurate now? As if I ov'd on say day 17, then the blood test was only 5 days later? (98 was the number I was given)

SusieBu16 · 13/05/2016 10:21

Shell Nurse what is a heart shaped uterus? I was told I had a tilted uterus..doesn't mean much other than smear tests are extra uncomfy Confused apparently!
OH still not home Angry Bird not his fault though lol I've talked myself down from giving him hell when he gets in haha.
Wee man is absolutely fine, milking every second of his chicken pox lol.

Hope everyone has a good day, keep spirits up ladies x

Shellbell0403 · 12/05/2016 21:25

cwtchy have you done a digital test? Keep positive!

frazzle sending hugs your way! Your defo having a time of it! Hopefully these results bring something good and they get you sorted!!

village last cycle mine done that, AF appeared 6 days later! Any signs of it?

susie did oh appear? Hope your wee one is ok!!

nurse your uterus is fine, not dodgy haha! I have a heart shaped womb and that's why I'm on Letrozole so they can monitor and only want one follicle. Multiple could be dangerous for us with heart shaped wombs and if fall pregnant they just keep an eye on us and may mean need a c section. Are you on tabs the now? Sorry I can't mind.

Well today is day two of my cycle 😟 So start of the tablets again tonight to start the process all over again! I have bought epo also and going to take them an pomegranate to eat also!! Going to make sure we dtd more often this cycle also!
Had thoughts this morning that I may not even bother with this cycle and y kind of shook myself out of it! Just gets abit to much sometimes!! 😞

FrazzleRock · 12/05/2016 18:13

Thanks Susie Yes it's pretty tough!

Nurse I know it really is crap but, does it give you peace of mind knowing it can be fixed though? I can understand how you feel.

I saw my consultant and he sent me off for bloods to be done. They are checking my prolactin levels as they could be hanging around after my miscarriages, which could be causing my bleeding. Also progesterone as I suggested I could be ovulating mega early (like day 8 or 9) which then causes a period two weeks later.
I'll get my results tomorrow, but I'm not entirely confident my consultant knows what he's talking about, to be honest. I said it makes no sense as all my adult life I've barely even had periods, only fallen pregnant twice (successful pregs) and never ever had a MC, but the last 8 months have gone mental. He said "maybe you didn't have PCOS before" I was like, what? that makes no sense as I was diagnosed with PCOS years ago because I wasn't having regular periods! Silly man.
I honestly believe his aim is for me to get pregnant and then shove me on the pill Hmm. Anyway, tomorrow's results might give us some clues.

CwtchyQ · 12/05/2016 18:03

Not sure what's going on with me - lines have gotten slightly darker, but are now just staying the same. Not expecting anything good to come of it - I am expecting to mc at some point as something is just not right. They should be getting darker.

Nurse15 · 12/05/2016 14:30

Hi everyone!! Havent been around much due to a lot going on in work and not having much to say, But just seen your news elle congratulations!! So so so pleased for you!!

Frazzle What the actual f? you can't still be at this!!! I am totally annoyed for you. Hope you get some answers etc soon!

Hello everyone else and sorry if i've missed anymore news or anything.

Had my dye test this morning. Have one blocked tube and a bicornate uterus (whatever that means) the doctor who did it was junior so wasnt able to say much other than she was going to speak to my consultant about the results and get her to contact me, But that i would defs need surgery. Feeling a bit gutted, because having shit ovaries isn't enough, I have a dodgy uterus and a missing link between one ovary and the dodgy uterus!

SusieBu16 · 12/05/2016 14:26

My goodness Frazzle you're really having a time of it. I hope you get some answers and positive ones at that, very soon x

FrazzleRock · 12/05/2016 12:39

Hi all.

Well I'm back off to my gynae this afternoon. Having started bleeding on cd14,, like I menitoned before, I though it was ending yesterday morning. However, I literally haemorrhaged en route to a customer conference yesterday morning. That was a fun 20 minutes of cleaning up in the loos Hmm. Then this morning, again I thought it was clearing up as virtually no blood overnight, then half an hour after shoving in a super plus tampon (just in case) I bled through it and everywhere. Thankfully I was at home this time. So fucking fucked off with it all. I just hope my doctor has the answer, because ultrasounds aren't showing anything sinister.

Kind of makes me want to go back to my usual 100 days plus cycles I always used to have. I can't possibly lose any more blood!

I'm starting to wonder if I have been ovulating super early in my cycles which is why I keep losing my babies and bleeding so early on in my cycles Sad

Sorry, it's a selfish post again.

I hope you're all doing ok Brew

SusieBu16 · 12/05/2016 12:26

Congratulations elle such lovely news to come on to! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy :)

I am due killing my husband - he is supposed to be home to take me to scan today I haven't heard a peep from him since Tuesday Hmm ... So I'm working from home today and my son has come home with chicken pox..can't drag him out with me! I don't care if he's serving our country...by walking up a big bloody hill Angry
Raging hormonal monster today!

Thanks for the recommendation Drew

I hope everyone else's day is a better one x

VillageFete · 12/05/2016 12:09

elle Not upset at all! Please don't think that. You are providing hope for us. How lovely to see it say "pregnant" rather than those pink lines x

DrewOB1 · 12/05/2016 11:50

There's a good book which helped me a lot when I was diagnosed called " the PCOS handbook" I recommend it.
Flowers PCOS is such a lonely condition st time. I don't like the shame attached to it.

ellewalk · 12/05/2016 11:04

Thanks for the kind wishes, they mean a lot. If I do upset anyone I am sorry. I know this is a struggle xx

Shell hope you are feeling a bit brighter today. I'm fine thanks for asking. It is slowly sinking in I think. Took a digital test and it popped up pregnant! So it is a bit harder to deny it when it is there in front of you. I have an appointment with my GP on Friday so once they confirm the numbers are going in the right directions I will start to breath a little bit. I have a feeling it is going to be a long 9 months with worry. We have decided to tell no-one. My parents and a couple of our close friends know that we are trying but we just want to keep the news to ourselves for a while. Love my mum but GOD she will go crazy when she knows I am expecting, it will full force and as for his mum OMG! Want to try and wait out the first 12 weeks privately!

Susie welcome, I got loads of information from this thread and these ladies, if you have a question just ask, someone will know the answer!

Happy Thursday to you all, the smile on my face is running from ear to ear. Need to stop my work colleagues will think I have lost the plot. I am normally a grumpy bitch at work because I hate it

Susi Hi! Sorry you have to join us, but it's a lovely group. I hope you get your bfp sooner than later.

mysterious I have fairly regular cycles these days, all is fine with that, yet I still can't conceive!!

Any clomid experts? AF still not here. 2 more pregnancy tests confirm i'm not pregnant, so where is it? The nurse who done my scan told me i'd ovulate between Mon & Wed (2 weeks ago) so doesn't that mean that the latest AF should have been here was yesterday? I think we stopped dtd from the Thursday, so no wonder i'm not pregnant if i've ovulated later than the nurse said. Also I stopped using opk's from the Wed (although i'm certain they wouldn't have picked up on ov anyway as my lines were getting lighter, not darker)

mysteriousbat · 12/05/2016 10:26

shell hugs to you, how are you feeling today?
How is everyone feeling today actually??!
I had my last day at work this week so I'm on a couple of days off. Just called the lady at the clinic to ask about needing new blood tests and she said I don't and that she will call me in a couple of weeks with an appointment, will be July/August. So that's good news :) I think as I already have dd they will only offer metformin but we will see. I was having a google yesterday and my ccg seems to be one of the poorer ones in regards to infertility as they obly offer one ivf cycle on nhs, therefore I can only assume they're equally stingy with everything else lol. I know it's down to budgets and stuff.
I googled private clinics but the ones nesr me only had prices for iui and ivf. How does iui work if you don't ovulate? Would they give clomid to stimulate ovulation, and would that be in the price do you think? Only as there is no separate price for clomid or metformin, so I'm assuming all drugs necessary would be rolled into that price.
Anyone here had iui? How did you find it?

SusieBu16 · 11/05/2016 22:58

Aww Shellbell I just seen your post from this morning. Big hugs!
According to my period tracker I have 13 days until AF. 13 very long days lol.
I'll be back on tomorrow to catch up :) I'm going to bed a little happier that I have nice people to chat to! Goodnight, and chin up lovely xx

SusieBu16 · 11/05/2016 22:53

Thanks mysterious I don't think I'll be going back on the pill for the rest of my days!
I hope you get some positive news soon and you don't have too long to wait for referral. It's the waiting that I think is the worst part, you drive yourself crazy with so many different thoughts!
