Good for you jpeg!

jpeg28 · 12/05/2016 07:05

It's so hard to stop counting the weeks! The reason we are going to Italy is for a wedding and I was so excited about having a bump to show off! I've been not drinking since the MC but I've decided when we are there I'm just going to enjoy myself as I won't be pg!

redstrawberries101 · 12/05/2016 07:04

Tomorrow I'll be cd 35 not 36 so actually not that late but definitely more late than I usually am. Im getting all stressed now can you tell???

redstrawberries101 · 12/05/2016 06:59

I would've been 30 weeks now.

redstrawberries101 · 12/05/2016 06:58

My gut feeling is that it's just a late AF though. Can't understand why I would've got a bfn (I've tested three times using the one step Amazon sticks). Last time I tested was Tuesday (cd 31). My periods usually arrive on cd30.

I feel scared.

pickledsausage · 12/05/2016 06:53

Ahh grapefruit congratulations! You must be over the moon and terrified all at the same time. Totally agree about not bothering with an early scan, I won't when I am pregnant next either after the same happened to me. Seems utterly pointless now.

cheeky everything xd for you!

jpeg it's so hard having markers like that isn't it, I was supposed to be 20 weeks for my friends wedding in June and I would so love to be preg again by then. We have to be kind to ourselves

jpeg28 · 12/05/2016 06:31

Good luck Cheeky you never know it could be a BFP.

lucky I have been temping and haven't had the continued rise to show ovulation yet. The last couple of days my temp has gone down. Back on cd12 I had what I thought was ov pain and was getting flashing smileys. But guessing this was all nothing! When we got pg the first time I ov on cd12. Today I think my cervix was firmer so I am just going to assume I am not ovulating this month. I suppose the MC screws everything up. I'm so annoyed. We are going to Italy with some friends for a wedding in 2 weeks and I would have been 19 weeks by then. Really wanted to be pregnant before we left. Silly really.

Brenna you are amazing for the 8 days in a row!!!

redstrawberries101 · 12/05/2016 01:48

I'm being really silly and 'pretending' that it could be good news although I'm pretty certain it's not. Just letting myself get carried away even though subconsciously I know I'm just letting myself get carried away... If that makes sense. It's strange as I have had cramps on and off and a few days ago felt like AF was turning up but it didn't arrive and now Im not getting a strong feeling of AF bring about to arrive. All very odd. I have been more stressed this month with work and potentially the 5:2 diet has perhaps messed things up.

Friday will be cd36. I only recall being this late once before like this when I wasn't preg. I'm not sure what happened that month but it felt similar to now. Just a complete genuine late.

If nothing by Friday I'll test again. Will buy a clear blue digital opposed to the Amazon pee sticks.

Brenna24 · 11/05/2016 22:13

I have wondered about how reassuring they are. I was scanned at 6+6 and 7+6 for bleeding last time, Rowan died at about 8 weeks and we didn't find out until more bleeding at 10 weeks. I was quite glad when she said that she recommended waiting to 10 weeks rather than going in at 8 as knowing things are fine on that day is no guarantee for the following day. Of course I have to manage to get that far through this time.

We seem to have been on the same cycle so far, concieved at roughly the same time both times, MMC at the same time last time. I am so glad you escaped my fate this time. I really hope all is well for you.

LuckyinOctober · 11/05/2016 22:11

jpeg I feel your pain with the late ovulating, I'm on CD19 and not got a positive yet either. That's not yet unusual for me though, if I don't get a positive tomorrow I'd be more surprised. Do you have other cues that you're in your fertile window? I'm on my fourth day of EWCM so planning to keep up DTD every other day until my temp goes up or CM changes.

Brenna I'm impressed by your every day for 8 days effort, that's an energetic commitment!

Cheeky if it's unusual for you to be this late is it worth testing again with FMU tomorrow if no AF by then?

Grapefruit congratulations, great to read a story of hope.

Grapefruit8 · 11/05/2016 21:27

Thanks everyone. There's so many of us on here now, rubbish really but so lovely to have the support. We've made a conscious decision not to tell anyone until the 12 week scan, we've literally known for 4 weeks already so just 4 more to go providing all goes well! I'm not going for an early scan, I had one at 8 weeks last time and it made the heartbreak all the worse when I did miscarry xx

redstrawberries101 · 11/05/2016 20:51

No symptoms.. Perhaps the 5:2 diet has messed up my cycle.

AmyB1986 · 11/05/2016 20:42

Hi all hope you're all ok...

Congrats grapefruit so good to hear nice news, I think it gives us all hope that it can happen.

Welcome to those joining us, so sorry you're here.

I think I ov'd in the night as my temp has gone up a little, only by 0.3 but that's enough it just needs to stay there for 3 days to confirm ov now. Have dtd 5 times in the last four days including this morning before I went to work to cover just in case. Feeling rather sore inside and exhausted now! It's definitely a left sided ov this month, that's the side I ov'd from when I mc'd and the side that had the cyst after. Again, the waiting game begins. I'm not hopeful at all this month though, I'm sure these ov pains I get aren't normal. It's so severe that when I sit down or try to run it feels like my insides are bouncing around, it does go off after a couple of days though. It's just weird and not a nice feeling at all.

Brenna24 · 11/05/2016 20:31

CD16 here and I have just got my first positive on an OPK. I normally have two and then ovulate, so I expect another tomorrow and then ovulation on friday. WE have dtd every day for the last 8 days. I think we will skip tonight and do tomorrow, friday and saturday.

jpeg28 · 11/05/2016 19:52

Thanks Hopefulkate... I'm ok just impatient and want to know what's going on, haven't dtd for a couple of days. Will make sure we do tonight and every other day for a while just in case. The thing is earlier in the month I had negative OPKs but they were darker than they are now. It's all so confusing!

HopefulKate1980 · 11/05/2016 19:04

Congrats Grapefruit!! And welcome to everyone else.

Cheeky that's confusing. What test did you use? Can you get bloods done at the doctor? Do you have any symptoms??

I'll catch up later on everyone's news.

Hope you are ok jpeg. Is it worth DTD anyway do you think?

I'm on CD25 and should come on any day now. Getting increasingly bloated and swollen so it's on it's way I think. Ovia says I can test in three days so will test on Sat if nothing has happened although fully expect it will. Grrrrrr..

Xx

redstrawberries101 · 11/05/2016 17:51

AF should've arrived Monday.. Never really been this late,. But test yesterday was definitely bfn. Hope hormones sort themselves out!

MissClarke86 · 11/05/2016 17:03

I'm on CD14 and no signs of ovulation.., last month I had a positive OPK on CD17 but still a 28 day cycle, so I'm a bit worried I ovulate late.

jpeg28 · 11/05/2016 15:52

Welcome pickled, theants and grapefruit .... Congratulations grapefruit that's so exciting! And fingers crossed for a happy healthy 9 months!!!

Feeling so impatient with my cycle! I know people ovulate late but I'm so desperate now for something to happen!

Brenna24 · 11/05/2016 15:20

Hi Grapefruit. So glad you are pregnanat again. I have everything crossed fro you that this one sticks. I am only just over the nausea from my last one in the last couple of days, so I feel your pain. It is particularly unfair that my nausea lasted longer than the pregnancy this time. Do they do early reassurance scans where you are. When I had my MMC in october I was told to come in for one when I was pregnanat again. They normally do it at 8 weeks here but bacuse Rowan had died around that time they told me to hold off for 10 weeks.

Grapefruit8 · 11/05/2016 15:08

Ladies I've been lurking on here for a little while, think I know some of you waves at brenna Smile hope you're all okay, I'm tentatively dipping my toe in the water... 8 weeks pregnant today. Trying not to get my hopes up (had a MMC last October at 11 weeks) but with every day that passes im feeling a little more hopeful. Had horrendous nausea and feel so exhausted!! Waiting on a scan date but keeping everything crossed.

Brenna24 · 11/05/2016 12:54

Welcome pickled and the Ants. So sorry you are here.

theAnts my bro and SIL didn't have their second until the first was 6. It has been so much fun watching him really understand what is happening. If we ever manage to have any we will be having a small gap between themas I am already 38 and we don't have much time and I now acutally feel a bit sad that the older won't be chatting to me about it all and talking to 'Bumpy' through my tummy the way my nephew did. Having said that if I was you I would be going mad by now too, so you have my full sympathies.

pickledsausage · 11/05/2016 12:45

Argh Writer that's such a shame. Maybe worth saying to her (if you are comfortable), any news? So that even if she doesn't feel ready to say anything just yet she'll know that you're up for hearing it.

Thanks Caffeinated feeling quite positive about everything at the mo but imagine that will wane if it doesn't happen right away! Fertility cleanse on the previous page sounds v interesting though, will definitely start that from next cycle.

Ha yes, SO MANY BUMPS! Your poor DP, he sounds lovely :)

theAntsareMyFriends · 11/05/2016 12:43

Hi,
I'm jumping the gun a bit but is it ok if I join. Found out nearly 5 weeks ago that I mc at 9wks. It would have been my second. Want to jump back into TTC but still bleeding and hcg levels still 90.

I have a DS who seems to be getting older by the minute and all I can see is the gap growing between him and his potential sibling. He keeps doing things that make me feel that he would be a great big brother NOW and it makes the waiting even harder. It took ages to conceive and I had a CP in December so I'm way behind where I planned to be.

Sorry for the rant. I'm not the most patient person anyway and not knowing when this bleeding will ever end it very frustrating.

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 11/05/2016 09:57

Welcome pickledsausage. Good luck with trying again, I hope it goes well.

All this time I've not been bothered by seeing babies and pregnant women but the last few days with it being so hot and therefore people wearing fewer clothes I've seen great big bumps everywhere. I remember joking with DP about how grouchy I am in hot weather at best of times and how much worse I'll be in the summer when heavily pg (I would have been due in July) so it seems a bit poignant to be not in that situation and not even pg again. Really busy this month though so it's been helping to keep my mind of ttc a bit. Starting 2ww but also have 2 weeks to prepare for a big event so should keep me from symptom spotting too much.

DP has 3 women in his office who are discussing various fertility stuff - 1 who miscarried same time as me, 1 newly pg, 1 having fertility treatment and they've really bonded over it and he's feeling a bit left out, poor thing. One of them knows about my mc (the one who also had one at the same time) and he's really broody but I can see why they'd want their chats to be women only but at the same time I know he'd love to chat about it with other people besides me.

Finished my last lot of Amazon cheapies last cycle and haven't bought any more. Think I'm just going to buy proper tests if I have a missed period but otherwise not test
