Hello ladies. I noticed the last thread filled up, seemed to happen all of a sudden! Hoping you find your way here (prepares for tumbleweed)

For reference here's thread 3 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2593041-TTC-after-miscarriage-lucky-thread-number-3

All those we are trying to conceive a child after miscarriage are welcome here, whether it's your first or you already have DC

Good luck ladies. Let's have some BFPs, we've earned it

Congratulations on the BFPs kate and cheeky. How are you feeling about it? Is it hard to get excited or are you able to forget about the worries and enjoy it?

Completely opposite for me. I got my BFN today. I'm really pleased as my MC has been going on for 5 weeks now and it feels like the end might be in sight. Still bleeding a fair amount though so hoping that will stop soon too.

Did everyone here wait for a missed period to try again. I will probably get back to DTD as soon as bleeding stops but when I had my CP in December I did't O the month after so think that I will need to wait until my next period to reset myself so to speak.

Enjoy your weekends.

Brenna24 · 13/05/2016 13:11

IC Grin that is so exciting. Best of luck for the wedding. I hope you are waddling in Wink. Where are you going to go for it? I am laughing at the parcel delivery guy and the aftersahve. That is hilarious. I was tempted by a september wedding but DH really wanted May, so we went for that. In the end we had a second wedding out in Italy in September(was supposed to be a blessing Mass for his grandparents just after our wedding but his parents got a bit carried away), so we each got what we wanted.

I hope the garden turns out lovely Miami. I want to move from our flat to a house with a garden. That is the plan for this year. Then next year I can do up our garden. Fingers crossed the witch gets you.

FozBoz · 13/05/2016 13:08

My goodness this thread has moved on!There's some BFPs and a wedding (maybe a BFP there too soon!) Star congratulations!

Finally stopped bleeding (god, this forum is the only acceptable place to announce that!) I got a positive OPk last thursday. I'm symptom spotting like a mad woman - I just don't feel right. Testing Monday unless AF arrives.

Miami81 · 13/05/2016 12:59

Thanks insufficiently and brenna.
Laughing at being stalked around the supermarket brenna. Always good for a wee boost of confidence. All this stuff can make me feel a bit frumpy if that makes sense. Also like I am not working correctly as a woman therefore why would DH fancy me. I know that is just emotions and hormones talking but it can really knock your confidence.
I am so excited about your elopement insufficiently. We got married in October last year and it was amazing. I love an Autumn wedding. And great to have something to split the focus from all this stuff too, it feels like it could easily become all I think about.
I have decided that we are going to do up our garden for the next few months.
And I feel a big af'ey today so for once I am hoping that she does raise her ugly head.
Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome Miami. I'm sorry about your loss but there's lots of support here, and some positivity as you can see from recent posts!
Took me 5 weeks from mc to next AF but still not back to a fully normal cycle 4 months later, cycles are shorter and having symptoms I've not noticed before. before AF. Miscarried naturally at just shy of 11 weeks. It is different for everybody though. Have you had follow-up scans to make sure it has completed?

Grin Go Brenna clearly you have got it going on right now! My regular parcel delivery man has a crush on me and is wearing more and more aftershave at each delivery which is starting to choke me when I open the door!

First month of temping is proving to be quite fun. Temp spiked this morning after a text book 3 day dip. It's quite interesting to see the pattern. Managed to dtd every other day since cd9 until yesterday, today is cd18 so hopefully that's enough. My sex drive has been through the roof this cycle though so I could happily have done every day if I didn't think it'd kill my poor DP.

In other positive news as I can't tell anybody IRL we're eloping in October! We want to be married but we're both really introverted so don't fancy a proper wedding. Our only option is nobody or everybody as otherwise people would get offended so we're opting for nobody and doing it in Autumn, my favourite time of year. Would LOVE to have a bump by then, are you listening universe?! Smile

Congratulations Kate. At this rate we are going to need to have a virtual alcohol free party for all the good news. Everything crossed for you my lovely.

Welcome Miami. So sorry you are here. Please stay and enjoy the madness though. I differs from person to person. I go straight into a normal cycle the moment the worst of the bleeding and cramps are over. Even if I am still bleeding lightly. I haven't done an HPT sooner than a week after each miscarriage started but in each case it was already BFN by then. You can go into a cycle with traces of HCG in your body, so don't give up hope yet.

My temperature was up a bit this morning and the ovulation pains stopped yesterday evening. We DTD before bedtime so hopefully we are in for a chance this month.

I had the funniest thing happen in tescos last night. I went there on the way home from volunteering to pick up everything I needed for the cakes today. At one of the aisle ends I turned back towards the beginning as I had forgotten something and nearly bumped into this guy. Said sorry and smiled and headed off to look in the cookware bit. Coming back up I bumped into him in the middle aisle, then again by the butters, then up at the icing sugar he came up and asked if I was baking a cake this weekend. My trolley had 2 big bags of flour, 2 of sugar, 4 of butter, 3 packs of eggs, icing etc. I laughed and said I'd been dumb and booked two in for this weekend. He said he was a chef, then started chatting away and asking questions about me. By now I have twigged that he is not just a very friendly american (from Atlanta, Georgia apparently). Thankfully he then asked if I still lived with my parents, so I was able to say "No, my husband" and get that vital piece of info into the conversation. Grin I was feeling a bit fat and frumpy and useless with the weight I have put on from the first pregnancy that I can't seem to shift, plus the miscarriages themselves, but I feel a bit younger and more like myself again now. DH was very amused when I picked him up from dropping off the minibus we use to transport the kids and told him about it. The guy was really quite hot as well Blush.

Miami81 · 13/05/2016 08:54

I am so impatient for either signs that o has happened or AF to turn up. I just really feel like I want my body back a small bit. I temp and in the last few days it has been up and down crazily (I think it is crazy hormones still lurking iykwim), also last night I finally plucked up the courage to do a HPT hoping for it to be BFN so I would know I had some chance of ovulating. But it was faintly pos and that just sucks. I have done some OPK's but there doesn't seem any point whilst HPT is still showing pos. Any advice? How long did it take you all to get back to a bit of a normal cycle. Oh also I had a medical miscarriage. Thanks

Miami81 · 13/05/2016 08:48

Hi there
I have been lurking with you ladies since my Mmc on 26th April. I just wanted to say congratulations to all the BFP's. I am sitting here at my kitchen table having a cry as you have all given me such hope for the future. You must be terrified but stay positive (literally) the stats are with you. Wishing you all the best for stress free 9 months.

AmyB1986 · 13/05/2016 08:21

Congratulations Kate!!

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 13/05/2016 07:50

Congratulations Kate and good luck! I knew May was going to be a lucky month!

MissClarke sperm can live that long, especially during your fertile week when conditions are right so hopefully you've still got some waiting around!

HopefulKate1980 · 13/05/2016 07:36

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your kind words. And thanks cheeky! I was looking into loans for IVF. God hope I don't need to. Today I've got a busy day at work then date night with my boyfriend.

Let me know how you get on with more tests. I'm going to try again tomorrow eve. Afternoon wee seems stronger for me for some reason...

MissClarke86 · 13/05/2016 07:21

Congratulations to the BFPs :) Try not to worry too much - easier said than done I know!

Mini rant - DH always seems to be flipping poorly when it's my fertile window. Last month he had a stinking cold and really didn't feel like it, and this time I got a positive OPK today and he's got thrush (sorry for TMI - He's diabetic and is prone to it due to sugar fluctuations.) Grrr.

DTD on Tuesday so MAYBE there's a small chance a few little spermies are still floating around in there when I OV!?!

redstrawberries101 · 13/05/2016 07:17

Thanks hopeful... I'm trying not to think about it but can't help it at the moment as it's just new. Hopefully I'll be able to put it to the back of my mind and just carry throwing myself into work etc. Hopefully the time will pass better that way. On that note I need to get dressed for work! What are you up to today? I'm going to phone the midwife service and get booked in as last time they were so busy and they said people should phone as soon as they know so they can get the relevant Appts at the right stages. I'm so happy for you hopeful, and here you were thinking you needed to consider IVF !

Grapefruit sorry I missed your good news before, I was caught up in my own situation worrying about my cycle being messed up etc. Congratulations and nausea and exhaustion all seem like encouraging signs!

jpeg28 · 13/05/2016 07:16

Wow congratulations Hopeful!!!! That's so exciting! Two BFPs in a week! Keep them coming!!!

HopefulKate1980 · 13/05/2016 07:14

Cheeky, they are different tests, with different amounts of dye in, and bodies are different. When I got my faint on Tuesday I did loads of research and it put my mind at ease. A line is a line, so they say. And yours is a pink clear line. We may need to keep each other calm! I am worrying constantly about my age, history, etc. Gonna book myself into yoga and seeing my consultant will help, if I get that far...

redstrawberries101 · 13/05/2016 07:08

Hopeful your line is significantly darker than mine.... I am worried as I was 4 days late yesterday when I tested on an superdrug early, but it wasn't FMU. I think I'll test again tomorrow morning with FMU.

Congrats hopeful!! That's such great news! We can hopefully get through this together... Like you though I'll be testing again in a few days and hoping for a darker line.

HopefulKate1980 · 13/05/2016 06:25

Oh and I won't and don't believe this until I get a Clearblue Digital positive. I have only tested with a FRER and have been here before sadly. Here is the latest at CD26 of 26/28 day cycles.

TTC after miscarriage thread #4
HopefulKate1980 · 13/05/2016 05:53

Morning all

I write this with so much caution and fear but yesterday I got my BFP too!!! I got a v faint one on Tuesday which I ignored as I had a chemical a few months ago but yesterday's was significantly darker. I'm thrilled but like you Cheeky frightened. I'm going to lurk here for a while if that's ok as I find you all so brilliant and supportive. Argh!!!! Please universe!!

Pineapple80 · 13/05/2016 01:20

Congrats cheeky! Understandable you're feeling nervous. Got everything crossed for you.

Brenna - sounds like a good plan re your posh hotel weekend away. Grin

CD4 here and it's going so slow. Expecting my period in a weeks time. Have felt random cramps as well but who knows what it could be.

Brenna24 · 12/05/2016 22:20

Hi Jo. Congratulations at nearly being 12 weeks now. That has flown. Glad all is still going well.

I would have been Grapefruit. Sad

Grapefruit8 · 12/05/2016 22:16

Gosh so much to catch up on today! Thank you for all your kind wishes. Congrats cheeky very exciting news, stay positive!! Brenna I burst out laughing when I read your post haha brilliant. Is there anyone else on here who is roughly same stage pregnancy as me? 8&2 tomorrow if all is correct...

AmyB1986 · 12/05/2016 22:11

Congratulations cheeky!!

Jo so glad everything is going well going well for you.

Mrs I get random cramps during my lp too but like Brenna said before I think I must have got them before but wasn't really paying attention then.

I think I'm 1dpo now going by the cramping feelings I had yesterday. Temp has gone up a bit but no confirmed ov on my temps yet. Feeling shattered and ready for a rest now. Can't stop blowing off again, only since I've had that massage! It's really embarrassing Confused

redstrawberries101 · 12/05/2016 19:26

Thanks Jo , that's so comforting to know. My DH is against early scans etc but he said if I want one this time then that's fine. I read your message out to him!
