Hello ladies. I noticed the last thread filled up, seemed to happen all of a sudden! Hoping you find your way here (prepares for tumbleweed)

For reference here's thread 3 www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2593041-TTC-after-miscarriage-lucky-thread-number-3

All those we are trying to conceive a child after miscarriage are welcome here, whether it's your first or you already have DC

Good luck ladies. Let's have some BFPs, we've earned it

Miami81 · 16/05/2016 22:15

Thanks IC and jpeg.
Just wanted to check that I wasn't about to do something that messed me up even more.

Miami81 · 16/05/2016 22:14

Thanks Jodie. Have googled, will see how we go this time round and maybe add it to next months bag of fertility related buys!!

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 22:06

Happy birthday What. I really hope this is your month. You deserve it.

Nitnat10 · 16/05/2016 22:04

Hi ladies, just spent 45 minutes catching up on this thread, so many BFPs! Congratulations Kate, Cheeky and Clarity, hope everything sticks. And a wedding as well, must be such fun to plan IC, definitely a good distraction. On CD21 here, still no sign of o, though for about the past year CD21 is about the absolute earliest I would o so theoretically normal I guess? I hate these long cycles I've been having (after a lifetime of 'normal' 30 day cycles) , makes me feel like I get fewer cycles in a year to ttc if you see what I mean! Anyone have super long cycles? I find the time between the end of AF and o so long now, everyone else at least gets to start 'having a go' as soon as AF is over for a week or so and then it's back to the tww whereas I feel like I have a tww till o, then another tww till AF!
Completely over all the waiting, have a Dr appt to get a referral for fertility testing on Thursday, need to feel like something is being done. Luckily we've been caught up in doing up and moving into our new house this past month, so had little time to dwell on it.
Happy birthday whatsername, hope you get spoilt!

HopefulKate1980 · 16/05/2016 21:15

Happy birthday for tomorrow! It sounds so hard, so hope you get some joy soon. Xx

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 16/05/2016 21:04

Happy birthday for tomorrow Whatsername. A birthday bfp would be wonderful although a bfn wouldn't be so nice so I can see why you'd not want to test. If I got a bfp this month then I'd be due just before my birthday next year!

Miami I didn't wait a cycle. I did think about it but as soon as I stopped bleeding and felt comfortable dtd with dp then we got back at it because resuming normalcy helped

Whatsername17 · 16/05/2016 21:02

I doubt it. We took the month of ttc due to me being diagnosed with ptsd due to how badly the hospital managed my miscarriage. I had a chemical in March and it all got too much. If AF is not here by Saturday I'll test but I'm not ruining my birthday with a BFN!

jodiebee664 · 16/05/2016 20:30

Hi Miami,
Conceive plus is a fertility lube (can't think how else to describe it) that you insert pre dtd. I've read some v good reviews on it so thought I'd give it a go!

jpeg28 · 16/05/2016 20:27

Miami I started TTC as soon as bleeding ended, got a negative HPT 6 weeks after MC and af returned the very next day. Now I'm on my first cycle since then which has been really long! Ovulated today on cd24... Good luck... Hope things get back to normal for you really fast!

Whatshername... So exciting! Fingers crossed for you. Maybe a birthday gift of a BFP?!

Whatsername17 · 16/05/2016 20:23

No af as yet (although that doesn't mean anything - going by previous cycles it could be due any time between today and Sunday. Ovia says to test tomorrow but it is my birthday so I'm not!

Miami81 · 16/05/2016 20:06

Good luck Jodie.
What is conceive plus?
It seems like things have started to reset themselves for me finally. Just took two different HPT's both seemed negative. One was Amazon cheapie dip stick which says that it is super sensitive and if I held it up to the light there was a really faint shadow but that's so much better than Friday's one. So I think I will check that again maybe midweek, but I am confident now that my body is doing what it should. I was dreading that I had retained products or something as seems to happen to so many people, I was really scared of the ERPC.
Anyway also did OPK's which seem fainter than last week even though by my temps I have definitely not ovulated yet. Hhhhhmmmm. Will just have to keep checking them I suppose. I think I finally had some CM today also so again all seems to be back on track as such. 3 weeks tomorrow since the mc, I am ridiculously glad to feel like I will be through the worst of it (physically anyway) by June.
I know this has probably been asked and answered but did you wait a cycle before trying?? My DH works away a lot and it is really stressing me out thinking about missing a potential just because of dates. I temp anyway so will have ovulation date to go by. Also on the mc cycle I had a clear temp dip at 9dpo which apparently shows implantation. So my dates last time were super accurate, I totally freaked my poor GP out.

jodiebee664 · 16/05/2016 15:56

Thanks brenna

I will definitely ask for a referral if no luck this time.

I did see a gynaecologist at the end of the long bleeding spell and they said everything clear. I then had mittelschmerz and was in hospital in Feb and had a follow up with a gynaecologist but again was told everything was fine with me but after all this time I just don't get where we're going wrong.

Yes, that's what I was thinking re my sis :)

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 15:41

Aww, thanks Jodie. I am so sorry it is taking so long for you. Can you get a referral after all this time. My wee sis is 8 years younger than me too. Luckily she is working and travellingin China and having a second teenage phase and her husband is working over here, so no chance of being baby bombed by her. I hope you get there just before your sister and then you can go through it all together, which would be fun. Flowers

jodiebee664 · 16/05/2016 14:09

Hi All,

I've posted before on one of the earlier threads and then been lurking on an off here and finally caught up on your news.
brenna so sorry you're going through a tough time, I'd seen your positive news when lurking a while ago and was then so sad for you when it all changed.
I had a real feeling I'd catch on the last cycle, we'd dtd a lot at the right times and i felt like I could sense it so it then felt so crushing when AF came! I came back from the loo and was on a conference call with work and nearly burst into tears :(
kate and cheeky and any others I've missed - so very happy before you, whilst lurking I'd seen some of your messages kate in the 2ww and was so hopeful for you so am glad it's a +ve result and you're getting help.
I do understand how it can be daunting too

I'm going to really try this cycle, have bought some conceive plus, going to cut out drink and caffeine but if nothing I'm going to go and see the doc as it will have been 10 months since my MC (did bleed for 3 months after though)

Good luck to all those waiting/trying/hoping - really understand how tough it is with all the baby news around...i feel like my little sis will tell me soon the she's pg and i know i'll find it so tough whereas i want to be happy for her when it happens for her (she's 8 years younger than me)

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 14:08

Congratulations Bertie.

It is funny we are either desperately wanting our periods to not show, or we are wanting them to show. Life is weird. Confused

BertieBotts · 16/05/2016 13:56

I think my period has started! Hurrah!

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 13:34

We have just had a week of epic weather, when I was supposed to be on maternity leave and I am stuck inside at work. The level of unfair is through the roof. All I can hear is my Mum's voice in my head saying "Life isn't fair". I wish it was still only unfair over ice cream.

Hugs Jpeg. Your time will come.

InsufficientlyCaffeinated · 16/05/2016 13:09

Welcome Karen. I'm sorry for your loss. I have that 'I'm supposed to be pregnant now thought' too. Less often but around any significant pre-planned events where I'd anticipated being pregnant it's particularly bad. Being here and focussing on conceiving again and believing that next time will be better helps though. Good luck

Managing to not symptom spot this 2ww so for once I'm taking it easy and not driving myself mad. All out of Amazon cheapies too so no poas until a missed AF.

I bet home grown veg tastes so much better!!
A friend at work just told me his wife is pregnant. I could have crumbled to the ground!! Happy... But not!

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 09:14

Hi and welcome Karen. So sorry you are here. That must be hard going through this without a partner too Flowers. Come and join the madness here.

That sounds like ovulation to me. I'd definitely get on it tonight too. The allotment is great but a lot of work. totally worth it when the veggies come flooding in though.

DDog is still not quite right this morning. And quite put out that he has missed dinner and breakfast hasn't appeared either. Poor wee soul.

jpeg28 · 16/05/2016 06:37

Brenna your poor dog!!! Poomagedon!!! The allotment sounds great! I really want to get into planting veggies!
OPK is very positive today! Had left sided pain last night, never had ovulation pain before and I'm worried it's all in my head! Temp dipped today so fingers crossed that means ovulation! We dtd sat and sun... So hope bf is full of energy when I get home from work later!

jpeg28 · 16/05/2016 06:35

Welcome Karen and so sorry for your loss.
I hope your af returns soon!

Karendvm · 16/05/2016 02:52

Hello all,

I've been lurking for the past week and thought I should introduce myself. I'm 36, had a mmc 5 weeks ago. Still waiting for af. This would have been my first, and really I've only just started trying, but the mc caught me by surprise. It's been good to read about other people's stories and you seem like a nice group of ladies. I'm single, going the iui route. So just waiting for af to come and start over again. Having some good day's with the the bad ones. Sometimes that thought of 'but I'm supposed to be pregnant right now...' that thought rears its ugly head. So I pick up my iPad and come here for reassurance that not all is lost. Hope you all had a good weekend. .

Brenna24 · 15/05/2016 20:59

Everything crossed for you Bertie.

Great news Kate.

Luckily we have company in here JPEG. I have friends and family who are either in a similar situation or are not scared to ask and talk about things, so I am less isolated and very lucky really.

Congratulations Charity. Best of luck. I hope you don't follow my lead.

Your poor Mum Cheeky. I am sure she will be a good support.

That sounds horrible Amy. Hugs.

Kate, I hope your day with your relatives wasn't too hard (and that your boyfriend isn't under the patio Grin .

So sorry Whats. I hope next month is your month.

I have been trying to get lots of sun too Lucky.

DDog has been very poorly today. My god mother was here friday and saturday evenings learning how to bake a cake and decorate it for her church party today. She brought tons of chicken for him both days and fed him lots of other crap. We woke up this morning to Poomageddon in the house. Poor DDog has been exploding regularly all day ever since, each time I took him out and then in the flat as soon as we got back in too. I have a blister from scrubbing the floors.

We also went to the allotment and planted lots of stuff today. We have peas and beans and sprouts and rainbow cauliflower in the ground. Wednesday evening I am going to do the leeks and maybe some pumpkins. This is going to be a good year on the allotment.
