Brenna I hope today is a brighter day for you. Give yourself a break, you have been through the emotional wringer over the last few months.
Feeling a bit all over the place myself, thought from temps that i ovulated yesterday but temp this morning hasn't really stayed that high at 36.44, I had all the pains and everything yesterday so am not sure what's going on.
I gave up on OPK's as wasn't doing them consistently anyway, will maybe have to be more diligent next month.
Thought I was in the tww already but now maybe not?? Going to a beer festival later with loads of people that haven't seen me since I pointedly wasn't drinking. Awkward, but if in tww anyway maybe shouldn't be drinking either. I'm confused.
Any advice? Couple of half pints of beer through the day? Or just avoid it. We sold our car so I can't even drive for that excuse.....

Brenna24 · 20/05/2016 23:45

What Miami said. If your body is already used to it, it really shouldn't make a difference.

Today I am really down and fed up for no apparent reason. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Miami81 · 20/05/2016 21:11

Jpeg If you are a runner already shouldn't have any impact?! I think. Everything I have read seems to back that up.

jpeg28 · 20/05/2016 21:05

This might be a really stupid question but.... Is running during the TWW ok? It won't affect implantation right??

jodiebee664 · 20/05/2016 09:05

Good luck all with the referrals, I'll be going to request this next month if no joy!

I;ve used the conceive plus gel this time whilst dtd and have found it okay - built in applicator makes it much easier than they one that came with the preseed...that was v sloppy!

Brenna24 · 20/05/2016 08:49

We will keep you up to date Flowers

Clarity77 · 20/05/2016 07:24

Mrs and Brenna - it will be really useful to know how your referrals go and what tests and support you get. It must be good to know that someone is monitoring things and hopefully doing something constructive. Had a discussion with my partner about seeing a specialist privately last night and he is not keen to spend the money. He seems so much more relaxed than me and has total (blind) faith in the fact that the GP would do this on the NHS if it were necessary.
Mrs - that fertility gel may have helped me last month but a word of warning my partner hated it. Said it was really cold and sloppy. Maybe only use small amounts, one application seemed to include a crazy amount of gel.

Brenna I'm inspired by getting back into exercise, I have some holidays coming up and hope that will be a good time to get back into it. I'm with you on not putting life on hold and keeping hobbies going. 7 dpo and the symptoms you described do sound implantation-y, fingers crossed for you. I'm about in sync with you, I haven't had bleeding but I have had strong left sided pain and nausea today. There's a bug going round at work though so it could be that I'm coming down with that. Feeling happy, luckily no PMS so far which is a plus at least.

Also congrats "whats"! Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months for you.

jpeg28 · 19/05/2016 18:57

Well done for the run brenna I am definitely doing park run this weekend! Did it last Saturday and I'm so much slower than I used to be!

Clarity when I had my MC I found my gp quite dismissive. In the end I said I had pain (I did have some but not severe) and that got me a referral. The EPU were so much better and I felt like they were really thorough. Maybe if you can try and get into EPU they could investigate for you? nitnat maybe a private gp is a good idea? Although expensive. Why don't they listen to us!

amy I feel your pain with the lank hair! Mine is like that at certain times during the month too!

pineapple I cannot talk to anyone. Find it so hard. This is the only place I can talk about it all! Even last night I tried to talk to my bf and he obviously doesn't understand!

I'm 3dpo today according to fertility friend and have had on off cramping all day. Sometimes it feels like af is on the way already! I've had the most stressful day at work. Need to try not to stress... Stress will not get me pregnant!!!

5tardusty · 19/05/2016 18:55

Good luck Brenna i hope youre experiencing implantation symptoms!

Hello Witchy...my old friend. AF best enjoy her warm welcome from me as it's the last she'll get for a long while! Started spotting today so not in full flow but it's definitely her witchiness!

To summarise my post mc WTF cycle and for anyone else who has been playing the waiting game too:
MMC at 9 weeks. Scan showed just 5 week growth.
41 days since first sign of spotting
33 days since Medical Management
28 days since sac passed
27 days since bleeding stopped
16 days since BFN

OPKd every day since bleeding stopped, and no ewcm so firmly believe this was anovulatory. Fingers crossed that i'm all rebooted and ready to go. My usual cycle length is around 32 days.

Onwards and upwards!

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 18:05

I don't know the rules for your region Clarity but up here they test you after your first miscarriage if you are 38 or over - I was 37 with my first and the midwife mentioned that if I had been 6 months older they would have started testing then and there. My Dr has referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic which is part of the EPAC. I am going on wednesday for my first appointment. I'll report back what they say afterwards. I am guessing they will want to take some blooks from me to look for conditions such as antiphospholipid antibody, thyroid problems, clotting problems, hormone levels etc. At some point they will do an ultrasound to check my plumbing as well, not sure if they do that on wednesday or not.

Clarity77 · 19/05/2016 17:07

Miami- Forgot to say no pink cm for me. I've only noticed ovulation pains since miscarriage but they always co-ordinate with opk smiley face so are a reliable sign these days.

Clarity77 · 19/05/2016 17:04

Amy - feel for you, looking/ feeling rubbish and Ttc is more stress than we need ( I've had a cold sore this week and feel your pain)
Lots of us on periods at the moment- so depressing but we can all start again together.
Whatsername- I think it's a good thing, it's only a couple of days ahead and sounds like strong hormones, perhaps reassuring.
nitnat - and other sharing your wisdom . I just don't find GPs that reassuring or knowledgeable. How and why do you get your bloods tested though? I'm thinking about a private fertility assessment £500 thoughSad.
2nd miscarriage for me, age 38 and have a 12 year old from a previous relationship.
Brenna - keep running, last week I had to stop four times, you loose the ability so quickly. I really hope you are pregnant again. Good signs.

Miami81 · 19/05/2016 16:32

I think I have ovulation pains in my right side at the moment. Weird I have only ever felt them in left before now. We dtd last night so might tackle DH when I get home again.
I know this is tmi but has anyone experienced their cm being a bit pink after the miscarriage?
So basically it is either ov or AF!!
7dpo Brenna could be implantation?

BertieBotts · 19/05/2016 16:28

Well DH had a rubbish day at work so we have ordered takeaway, hurrah! :)

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 16:22

My boobs are throbbing and I have tiny cramps in my uterus and I had bit of bloody mucous when I wiped last night. Currently 7dpo.

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 16:20

Balance has been restored to the universe. We had birthday cakes for someone at work this afternoon. However we didn't communicate well and ended up with a rather large amount. I have eaten my body weight in cakes and crisps.

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 15:00

So sorry Bertie. I hope the symptoms stop soon.

Go for it Pineapple. I am sick of being all woe is me and am determined to do something about it. It is bound to help woth physically and mentally.

BertieBotts · 19/05/2016 14:14

Well my period is really here and it's kicking my arse today. Headaches, nausea, cramps and DS is on school holiday and driving me mad!

Clarity your GP is wrong. It could be a multitude of things.

Pineapple80 · 19/05/2016 14:05

Whatshername - I have read that the weeks indicator is not always super accurate. Thinking of you and hope time goes by quickly so the stress doesn't get to you too much.

Are you going to opt for getting blood work done for HCG and track it this time around? If and when I get my next bfp I am thinking about not having it done as when I had my mmc earlier this year I had my bloods done every week as I was spotting and it stressed me out too much.

Pineapple80 · 19/05/2016 14:01

Brenna - wow look at you go! You've inspired me to get back into exercise. I've only managed walking lately. Want to get back into some group classes soon. No excuses really!

Thanks I think I am just a bit over sensitive about things this week... wanting to be pg now etc.

Brenna24 · 19/05/2016 13:14

Laughting Amy. I don't have any weak ankles as an excuse, I am just not athletic at all. I go running, I can eventually even get up to 1 step up from a snails pace but I always look like I am on the brink of death. Tomato face, gasping for breath, hair stood on end etc. No matter how fit I am. It is just something I am not designed to do. Sadly it is a quick and cheap way ofr keeping fit and I can fit it in a lunchtime at work, so I persevere.

Clarity I went out this lunchtime, inspired by you. It took me 39 minutes to do a run I used to do in 28, but I did it. I'd forgotten about parkrun, maybe I should do that saturday morning too. Your Dr is wrong. There are a multitude of things they can test for. Many people still end up 'unexplained' but many other people get a diagnosis and some treatment. If your partner is producing sperm with reasonable motility but bad morphology or choromosomal abnormalities like a balanced translocation then it can totally be to do with him too. Have you had 2 or 3 miscarriages so far and what age are you?

So sorry Pineapple. I hope this month is your month. I am not finding it a problem to talk to anyone about it. My friends who haven't been pregnant or had one have had a lot more questions, but I made it clear once I was over the initial shock that I was happy to answer questions and not much was too sensitive to ask. So now they have a fairly good idea what we have been through and the ice is well broken.

I am sorry she was so dismissive nitnat. I am glad she is willing to do bloods though, even if they are inconvenient. Hopefully they will prove your point for you.

I am eating a very healthy chicken salad for lunch, cycled to work and have been for a run. I am smug now.

Whatsername17 · 19/05/2016 13:06

Do you think I should be worried about the fact that I got 2-3 on the weeks indicator when my last AF was 3 weeks 5 days ago? I know I ovulated two weeks ago today but with my other pregnancies I only ever got 1-2 at 14 dpo. Im so scared I just do not know what to do with myself.

Nitnat10 · 19/05/2016 12:45

Congrats whatsername, always nice to see some good news on here, wishing you well. Clarity, your story resonates, I went to the GP this morning to voice my concerns about my short lp and long cycles and she was very dismissive of temping or any conclusions I had drawn from it, said a 7 day LP was the norm (ok, never mind that all other sources of information suggest 10-14 days is the norm), and like they told you Clarity, should take heart from previously having conceived (in the same breath as 'you probably didn't ovulate at all in those really long cycles, despite what your temps say'). Anyway, now I get to wait till my next period (whenever the heck that may be) and then come and give bloods every other day from about CD20 till I get my period after that (that could be like three to four weeks of bloods every other day!) as my cycle is so unpredictable. Just fab, work is going to be very pleased with that. I thought going to the GP and trying to figure things out would make me feel better but it's actually had the opposite effect. Contemplating going private as the GP said she wouldn't refer me to anyone more specialized till we've looked at the bloods, which could literally be another two months from now. Sad
