It's so frustrating. But I genuinely think with the lack of good news recently, we are totally overdue and it will all happen at once! It's all about June, I reckon we'll cash in some BFPs!
Jodders, Nimi & Purple, the odds are stacked in your favour!

I'm so annoyed for all of us! Can't believe that with all the BDing no BFP's! Mother Nature is so....unfair! AngryAngryAngry BirdAngry Bird

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 13:45

Ah thanks Jem, it was a Clear Blue 4 days early test, and not even a hint of a 2nd line, so at 14dpo and lots of AF cramps, feels pretty conclusive. So now the wait for AF begins, want to crack on with the next cycle Sad

I used an app called MyFitnessPal to help me lose my baby weight. It's easier when there's a focus and target.
For ladies struggling with work stresses and generally pressures of TTC, there's an app I've heard about called 'Headspace'. Just downloaded it now and will try that too x

Tee I always struggle with the moderation part Blush

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 12:13

Radders/Jodders I re-trained as a Graphic Designer when on Mat Leave, always thought working with packaging could be pretty cool... will scrub that off the list then! Want to work somewhere relaxed and informal.
I think a healthy mind is as important as a healthy body, so if dieting too strictly will put you in a bad place emotionally, it just won't be worth it. Everything in moderation and lots of fruit & veg is probably the most sensible approach.

Jem mine is 26th, though according to the study I'm in I have to take a test every day from 6dpo, so have been having bfns for a few days now, always analising the stick for that faint second line that never shows.

Radders I run the risk of being too forward here, but.. why don't you propose?

I find that rainymood.com helps me to relax. I love to keep it on just because. I know we do have a lot of rain here (I'm not originally from the uk), but the sound is so faint because of all the double glazing that I miss it.

Jodders · 21/05/2016 11:47

Morning all! Almost afternoon but DH said last night that I seemed tired and he would like me to have a lie in...who am I to argue!

CD 21 Star 7/8DPO eeeeekkkk

Radders i used to work for a really really big fussy supermarket in HO and I was involved in the packaging / design from that side and dealt with printers all the time. It is an awful steadily industry and some people I worked with liked to pick holes in things over nothing was awful! I'm quite a relaxed person and my favourite line was "ok so it's not exactly the same Pantone reference but no one has died!" You would have thought it was life or death to some of them! I'm glad I got out!

Come on Tee!! Have everything crossed for you...we are due a BFP!!

To those who replied about my diet / wanting to lose weight I think I'm going to put things in perspective- I am healthy. Ok I might need to cut down on Nutella and carbs and I will do that but generally I have a good diet (background also in food & nutrition) so I am going to just cut back and stop worrying! I want to enjoy my holiday.

To be fair we've only been together 18 months! But when you know you know.
So I can't really say he's dragging his feet. It will be this year though I'm 100% certain of that.
I'm so impatient though. I hate waiting

SuchaJem · 21/05/2016 11:17

Sorry radders that should have been obvious! I assumed you were already married. Your oh sounds absolutely lovely from what you've said on here. What's holding him up?

DH and I were together for 8 years before we got engaged. It got to the point where I felt resentful towards him and questioning the relationship. I don't think he realised how much it affected me at the time. He's a lovely man, so kind and intelligent and loving, but he's not good with change or making decisions. He is a born worrier and this holds him back.

I hope yours doesn't keep you waiting much longer. That would be a nice distraction from ttc!

raddersmrs · 21/05/2016 11:10

I work in the packaging industry - we manufacture cartons for supermarkets - they go to the food people to pack. I manage a team there of 22 who look after the customers. Words cannot explain how stressful this industry is. It's all want want want and when you throw that carton in the bin you have no idea what's gone into it. If the colour is slightly wrong it's rejected yet the day to day person really wouldn't notice!
I tell myself everyday it's just a job but from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it is literally none stop. You can't do half measures.
Going to try my best this month to stay calm!

I will try that app as I feel like I'm struggling to breathe today etc definitely need calming down.

I'm going part time after maternity leave but I don't think back to the company I'm at. My job can't be done part time and I don't think I want to work in a stressful industry like that when it's only part time.

Jem I mean an engagement ring! Hehe wish he would hurry up and pop the question. That would also give me something else to think about it. Sorry to hear you're feeling upset. It is tough but we are in it together.

PurpleOwl86 · 21/05/2016 11:01

Physics I was going to study Physics in uni, after 2 years I saw it wasn't really for me and dropped out. Never regretted it. Smile

Jodders For the past few months I kept thinking what's the point in losing weight now if I'm going to put it back on if I get pregnant? And then it just clicked that I couldn't keep waiting, I've been trying to get pregnant for months I could have been a size 12 by now if I had just started earlier. I hope I get pregnant soon but if I don't at least I'll be healthier.

Good luck on testing today, Tee!

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 10:23

Jem great minds! I downloaded an app called 'Calm' last month for mindfulness. It wasn't a good one though so gave up, will try the one you recommend and will stick with it. Girls in terms of work, we just have to be selfish about it. I'm usually one to be very conscientious, go in when sick, take on too much stress etc. I think when TTC and pg you have to give yourself a break, put things in perspective and remember your body and wellbeing have to come first. As you say Jem, let things wash over you and remember how insignificant all these stresses are in comparison to the bigger picture and your precious child to be! x

2 days till my holiday! I'm really excited. Bad luck Radders and Jem. Fingers crossed tee. Hi summer. Mimi have you had your night out yet? Getting sprayed and shellaced and packing today. Great to take my mind off the dreaded 2ww.

SuchaJem · 21/05/2016 09:56

Morning girls CD2Star

Horrible period pains and still feeling pretty shit, but had a lovely evening bowling with friends and you lovely lot always cheered me up loads too. It's so good to know you're not alone and others understand what you're going through.

That said I did wake up at 4ish this morning and have a big cry again. Somehow the middle of the night makes things seem a lot worse. I read your positive list again tee to help myself down! Also downloaded a breathing app - can recommend for relaxation - plus my mindfulness app. Both are free and have simple exercises to help you relax. Am going to try and do them daily this cycle.

jodders I sound a similar size to you - ten at best, usually more like a 12 and if I'm not careful could edge to 14. Your cleanse sounds quite drastic so maybe not the best idea for pregnancy or ttc? I think a more moderate approach might be better, cutting out carbs, sugar, sat fats. I really need to do this too so might join you.

radders so sorry AF got you and admiring your strength. I hope you feel a bit brighter and enjoy the wedding. What do you mean about the ring? Thanks for the vit c tip by the way. When we first started trying I bought his and hers conception tablets from boots - not cheap! DH did not take a single one Envy think it's now dawning on him that it's not actually that easy / baby on demand so I think will now be more open to this.

This cycle for me will also be about trying to relax and be less stressed. Work is the biggest factor for me too. I'm frequently awake at night worrying about it. Like you guys I also am staying at my current job to have a baby. I get a good maternity package where I am - built up from working there 4 years so I want to make the most of this. Going to try and let things wash over me more, take breaks get fresh air and also keep doing my mindfulness app daily to practise. It's just called Mindful if anyone is interested.

Wishing you all a lovely Saturday. tee keeping everything crossed for you!

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 09:42

*perfectly possible Hmm

OP posts:
Tee4me · 21/05/2016 09:41

Remind me what you do for a job Radders? Are you considering a career change after mat leave? I couldn't go back to my job managing a team because I didn't feel I could manage on a part time basis (although I'm sure in other companies it's perfectly possibly). I'm also not enjoying my new work, but I think that's mainly because I'm so focused on TTC that everything else feels like a stop gap and I'm not really applying myself properly.
Hope you enjoy the wedding today, fx it doesn't rain! x

raddersmrs · 21/05/2016 09:15

Tee it's funny you should say that because I was just thinking to myself that this AF is a lot more painful than last month. I had really bad pains yesterday before she showed which I don't normally get and today they're hurting.
I normally have pains for a day.

It's definitely heavier so I think you're right in being flushed out.

I think work is getting to me more than this. I really think the stress of it is preventing me from conceiving. When I conceived last month I wasn't at work - ha 2 weeks off. I'm going to see what happens this month being more laid back and if that doesn't work then I'm going to have to consider the job.

Hope nothing shows and you get your BFP. I will be checking back! Xx

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 09:04

Ah Radders sorry to hear you're feeling like that. If I remember rightly this is your first AF since mc? I felt the same as you the cycle after mine, as I was so convinced I'd be super fertile that month (which technically you are supposed to be after mc). I'd started aspirin which I thought would be like a magic wand to my womb and also had lots of convincing signs. I think the disappointment hit double as hard that month.
Remember though, your pregnancy was still very recent, my mum told me you really should be particularly fertile in the 3 months post mc. Also, some say to have a full period between a pregnancy and mc bleed is a good thing, to ensure you are fully flushed out (sorry that's a horrible phrase). I don't know what your experience will be, but I had lots of clots (tmi) and extra painful cramps that following cycle.
Sending you hugs.

I will wait until the last minute to test, give AF every opportunity to turn up (don't want to waste the test). I really do feel quite crampy. Probably about 3pm! x

Feeling bit down in the dumps today actually

Going to a wedding which is nice but then I think not only do I not have a baby but I also don't have a ring Angry

One of those days hehe

Tee when are you testing? I'm excited xx

raddersmrs · 21/05/2016 07:52

Good luck tee - looking forward to hearing the result xx

Tee4me · 21/05/2016 07:37

CD28Star14dpo
Morning girls,
AF due date has arrived, although it wouldn't be unusual if it started tomorrow. Still fairly crampy and feeling like something's coming. If it doesn't hurry up I will have to use my CB test. Hen do later, so need to know if I'm driving or not!
Hope everyone else is OK? Radders/Jem CD2 already for you guys!! x
