Tee4me · 02/05/2016 20:11

Wow, that's nuts Footprints. I wonder why your temp wemt up and is staying up if you haven't ovulated though??

Apparently can't ovulate more than once. U can release two eggs shortly after each other but we are talking hours or a day not every week. You can get LH surge and gear up for ovulation but don't and then it will try again in a few days. I've had positive opks every 4 days roughly since cd13!

Bfn - IC poas just now.

Think i can't ovulate properly so it keeps trying! It's exhausting Sad gyne appt on thurs hopefully will shed some light.

raddersmrs · 02/05/2016 19:55

Footprints are you definitely not getting positive pregnancy tests?!

Summerblush1982 · 02/05/2016 19:44

Oh my gosh footprints! Is this the norm? Can women ovulate more than once?

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 19:35

CD31Star 17dpo, 10dpo or 4dpo or no dpo and no Brazil nuts left! Argggh !

DH found my stash of nuts!

Radders- just looked on my temp chart and on day 10 I was 36.22 so not far off mine. Hoping my temp stays up.

Symptoms update- no AF still, have slight pinkish/brownish CM after dtd this morning, but clear watery cm since.
Temp still up above cover line, no cramps today. You are going to laugh at this..,

Another positive opk today! What??!!
I seriously am getting fed up with this! At this rate my OH will admit me to special hospital for sex addicts if there is such a place?!! And worst of all my cycle will go on forever and ever until I actually ovulate. I must have something wrong with my hormones and very high LH. My body keeps attempting ovulation.

Suchajem, with everyone else; I'm sorry too to hear what you're going through! Men hey!!!

Day 6 post ov for me! Not felt anything but had a few twinges in my belly. I'm not holding hope though because I think they are only there because I'm thinking about it. Not to be so negative this early, but I don't think it's worked :-/ I just have this feeling! Plus I know no symptoms are likely this early but I just have this weird feeling. Will let you know if anything changes.

Had some cm today. When put in Ovia it said quite consistent with time of cycle but who knows. I think I'm going to test on Sunday with an early response. :/( but like I said, feel defeated already!

Tee4me · 02/05/2016 17:55

Early night for you Racja!!! Smile

Totally Jem... I think for (most) women, the need for bubbas is so innate. Some men just can't think on an emotional level about it until it becomes a reality. I felt exactly the same as you the first time round, and now hubby is a great Dad, and the fact that there's a 'practical one' and an 'emotional one' is actually quite a nice parenting balance. It's the same with my own mum & dad! Dad comes round and fixes stuff in my house and I get emotional support from my mum. Everyone needs a ying to their yang x

Aw wow racja, looking good to me! There's still potential for a darker one there but you might miss that if it's overnight. Do another one tomorrow then at least you can determine your peak.

Suchajem, so sorry to hear what you're going through. I think it's difficult for men to realise what it's like for us sometimes. We have to be mentally and physically ready as we go through so much body wise that we get to that point then they get cold feet and it's like what!!
It's a difficult time and I'm guessing all you want us support and commitment from him right now. Have you sat down and spoke about it again?? Be good to do that before a positive opk

Racja14 · 02/05/2016 15:35

Oh Jem I really feel for you, I don't even talk to DH about TTC as I know he will get huffy about it, so glad I have all you ladies for support! Flowers

Just done my OPK for today and it seems to be the darkest yet, so hopefully still time for a sticky bean this cycle Smile

SQUARE ONE'ers to GRADUATES - Supporting eachother on TTC journey
SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 15:32

Just done an OPK and its snowy white so at least there's no egg on her way for a lonely arrival..

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 15:23

I think it's a cold feet moment but it really upsets me and makes me feel like it's all having to come from me. I think you're completely right about men being practical and I don't think he will 'get it' ether until his son or daughter is in his arms. I know what an amazing dad he will be and how much he will love it. He can't help but see it from a purely practical PoV at the moment.

He's trying to make it up and say let's try but I'm finding it hard to snap back into it. Ttc is hard enough without feeling like you're on your own.

Racja14 · 02/05/2016 13:30

Footprints I will test again when I finish work. CM was egg white a few days ago but now is clear and almost watery, no tingly nips but I have got a crampy feeling on my right side.

Radders my cycles are usually quite long and have tested since day 12 and this is the closest OPK I've had to positive but will keep testing!

Physics I think LH is on the way up (I hope!)

joddy · 02/05/2016 12:52

No I didn't ever temp footprints.

Thanks for the supplement advice. I am currently taking a multi vitamin that has 100% RDA of vitamin B6, B12 and Folic Acid.

I suppose I should be excited now about this cycle. My lining should be nice and thick too as I was worried it wouldn't be if I caught before AF appeared.

Happy Bank Holiday all!
Racja sorry you're having to work!
Radders I had the exact same thought about vivid dreams! Really thought it was a symptom a couple of cycles ago, but they've pretty much continued ever since! I think it's the brain working overtime with all this.
Jod think it's a good sign your cycle is progressing and you've got proper AF, only 2 weeks til FW and hopefully a more predictable cycle overall.
Jem I feel for you. Men are so practical about the whole thing. I know I can't speak for them all, but my DH was very reserved about it first time round. I was ready for years before him. I never wanted to twist his arm too much, but certainly had to gently persuade him over time that things would be OK financially etc, and even then he never seemed as committed as me! All changed when DS appeared, I just think some men don't connect fully until that point. Hugs xx

Nim/Jod - first month off of pill I had short luteal phase of 7 days the second month was a whopping 23 days so I think it's just body settling down. Really annoying though isn't it.

Slight brown cm today so maybe my AF will show soon. My temp was still up today at 36.48 so doesn't show signs of AF.
Jod- did u do your temp?

Nimisha · 02/05/2016 12:03

Jem I hope DH was just having a cold feet moment and comes round to the idea again.

Jod I have tracked my cycles with the mirena coil in and two months I had a luteal phase (lp)of 6 days. I have done some reading and I have a theory. The coil stops ovulation in some but not all people, I think that if it doesn't stop ovulation, it's a weak ovulation so a short lp. I am taking vitamin b6 anyway and my lp this month was 11 days with two days of spotting before. I'm hoping this time I'll have a better chance now it's the first full cycle without the coil.

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 11:41

Jod- yes that's what I went through last month and my body is still playing up. Sorry AF came for u X

Footprints1 · 02/05/2016 11:40

Sucha- my DH said the same about trying. He got so stressed with it one night he said that's it we can't do this now. I was very sad and grumpy. The next night he wanted the deed.. Well I expected him to pull out and he carried on and has been ever since. It's just the planning that freaks him out. Weird to say it.. But I seriously think they prefer the unexpected and little accidents Hmm
I don't show him the sticks, or tell him fertile week (weeks in my case which makes it tricky)& just am going with it. It seems to be working so far.. He asked me only today..have u come on yet?? The less said the less they can stress. Hope he comes round X

SuchaJem · 02/05/2016 11:24

Thanks for sharing that summer I will definitely be referring back to that.

jod that sounds really promising for implantation, fx for you.

Did someone say gin and tonic? Smile thanks footprints she's improved a little but it's still early days.

Day 11Star and still no DTD Envy we have been so crazy busy and both exhausted. Will try and get on it today but I'm cross with DH. He's making so little effort to initiate and only really tries if I get cross and walk away. He's being negative about it again voicing his concerns about wanting to buy a place before ttc. We've been through this so many times and decided we wouldn't let that hold our lives back. It's mentally and emotionally exhausting to keep going through this with him. I've told him we are stopping until he's in the right mental place for it because I can't handle the emotional roller coaster of ttc whilst not feeling like he is on board.

Very SadEnvy about it all today.

Jod it might just take a few cycles for things to settle - some people mention up to 6 months. I started taking B6 and B12 and my LPs are getting a couple days longer each time. Maybe B complex? It's meant to be good for TTC anyway. Just be aware that long term use of high doses of B6 can cause nerve damage. I take 50 mg daily (suggestions that several years of 100mg + can cause the damage). So I wouldn't double up on B6 + B complex (which has all the Bs in it).

Racja - it could also be that you caught the surge on the way up and the way down, never quite getting the positive...

Tww here! Not lots going on, but nips are weirdly sensitive still - I never get boob symptoms! Humph. Not enjoying it particularly (and it is clearly not a symptom of any sort). Cystitis has abated, and I know I should finish the course (don't want bugs building any sort of tolerance for this antibiotic) but DH worried me with what he read about it with TTC... Trying to be blissfully unawares! I do know that time will fly when I'm at work so hopefully I won't have time to notice every twinge... Plus it is cycle 1 so not super likely as we still don't really know what we're doing! Pineapples at the ready!

raddersmrs · 02/05/2016 11:20

Jod I think your body is still probably getting back to normal so the short luteal phase of this cycle might not be what happens next time.
I've just found this link which has some suggestions what to eat etc

http://nicolejardim.com/lengthen-your-luteal-phase/

I would take this as a good sign because now it's like you know where you are in your cycle and you can start tracking a bit better.

Racja - how long are your cycles normally?? Maybe you have already ovulated?

I'm going to start Opks tomorrow to make sure don't miss ovulation although I will ovulate around Cd15 if same as last month.
Bbt was 36.25 this morning.

I'm definitely not linking vivid dreams to pregnancy symptoms going forward as I'm having them now! Another one last night.

Hope everyone's enjoying their long weekend. Off for a spot of shopping today and little walk around. Hope the rain stays away xxx

Hi ladies, I name changed. It's Jod.
Ok so it's full blown AF. I'm not too disheartened as i am glad I know where i am but man it's heavy.

Now I have questions....I had a positive OPK and other signs of ovulation Friday week. So I would have been roughly 7days PO when AF arrived. That's very short isn't it? What way should I tackle this cycle. Any supplements I should include? Foods? Routine? I suppose this is my only my second cycle as this is my first period since Mirena was removed.
I guess all the symptoms I had were related to Mirena withdrawal! I do think I ovulated though it at least tried to ovulate twice in last 5 weeks.
