Connected to hormones not AF

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 23:00

Jod- I lost my appetite last couple of weeks when my temp was high and only today it returned. Today my temp dropped so I had a crazy high progesterone couple of weeks. Sure it's connected.

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 22:56

*Physic-
*
Found this on the net-

Maca- The dosage of supplement you purchase will determine how much you take. Generally you can take 1-3 supplements daily of a 500 mg tablet. The maximum recommended dosage is 1500mg daily. Anything more than 1500 mg a day could lead to overstimulation.

Says to only take before 3pm as it might keep you awake at night.
Might make you want to dtd in middle of the night Wink

I took one in the morning, and one with lunch. Total 1000mg. Felt fine.

Glad to see you're enjoying the yoghurt Brazil's! Smile

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 22:54

I'm sure I've read that can happen jod. I felt so rubbish after ovulation this month - was really low. That seemed to lift in a few days. Hang in there xx

Jodders · 18/05/2016 22:46

*big?! BUG

Jodders · 18/05/2016 22:45

At least the marking will make the boring part go quickly. Won't be long til you are BD!

I feel so sick now tonight. Cramps still strong and feel yuck Sad maybe I'm getting a big. I also had to nap this afternoon. Do you think increase in progesterone could cause nausea?

physicskate · 18/05/2016 22:41

Thanks for checking up on me! I'm fine! Just in the boring part of the cycle - Cd5... so not lots going on. Just have 8 sets of end of year exams/ past papers to mark!! So it's a late few nights for me ahead...

Jodders · 18/05/2016 22:18

Evening all,

Welcome purple! Looking forward to spending this joining with you!

I'm so excited to see these BFP's Jem, radders and tee!

Are you ok physics you are quiet?

Footprints - I'm afraid that what you have said about missing your OPKs and ovulating at a time you thought you weren't is what has happened to me this month. I already expect to be trying again next month. Won't be a bad thing if we are because I'm going on holidays during FW!

Radders I remember you were emotional last month too!

Waves at Parney Grin lovely to hear from you!

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 22:16

Radders I think stress plays a part too. I get quite anxious at times and have the odd night of being very stressed, heart racing, worrying about work and everything. Like you I don't want to leave my job as I want the maternity package.

Perhaps next month I'll try and focus again on relaxation and exercise. I'm not going to stop opks as they don't stress me out, if anything I find it reassuring to know I'm ovulating.

raddersmrs · 18/05/2016 21:44

I'm going to test tomorrow if FRER arrives. If it comes up negative I know I'm definitely not pregnant as it would pick it up by tomorrow.

Works pretty stressful at moment which I don't think is helping. I feel trapped in a job I don't want to be in but can't move cos of trying for a baby, there's no point.

Last month I was really laid back with it and fell pregnant then this month been more on it and don't think I am at all. So I do think stress etc plays a part in it.

Next month I am not using opks or temping. Try and take a more relaxed approach.

Sorry for the rant. Feeling bit emotional about it today!

PurpleOwl86 · 18/05/2016 21:10

Thanks for all the advice guys, I hope I start losing weight soon.

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 20:55

Purple- low carb low sugar diet is good for fertility. Don't forget to add kiwi to first half of cycle and pineapple to second. Although fruit has sugar it's a better sugar to burn. x

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 20:48

Just to mention my boobs were tingly and sensitive last night, drop in temp today, spot on my chin too! AF signs.

I'm cool about it - on a mission now to get upduffed with you all.

So who's testing first? Jem?

Nimisha · 18/05/2016 20:25

Sorry to hear about your troubles Mimiplease stay with us.

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 20:05

Parney- so glad you are doing well. Have you decided on a pram yet ? I can't wait to choose one! I find myself checking out all the prams on the school playground. Pram envy!

Tee/ jem/ radders -Don't trust the boobs I'd say. Although have seen its common symptom for some ladies.

I'm pleased to announce that I think and really believe AF will arrive in the morning. Banging headache today, bloated tummy and v bad cramps. Spotting just now.. So here it comes! Did a quick calculation and means that I totally messed up! As 8 days after I thought I had ovulated, I got a massive dip then jump in temp and didn't do an opk those two days as thought it was implantation. Anyway that jump in temp calculates 14 days tomorrow. So flippin missed it. That was more likely the ov day and we didn't dtd at all that week. Took so long to happen I think I gave up.

Oh well at least if AF arrives i can start afresh.

Footprints1 · 18/05/2016 19:48

Hi purple, and a warm welcome. Sorry to hear you have a thyroid issue. Weight can play an important part on conceiving. I'm not sure the medical side of it but from a fitness point of view - your body has to be ready and able to sustain a pregnancy. It can deplete what you have so is important to make sure you are well balanced with good nutrients before and during. Hope you get your BFP on this thread with us all. Flowers

PurpleOwl86 · 18/05/2016 19:47

Jem I'm not on any particular strategy, a bit of everything, my most recent try is a chart stuck to the fridge saying how much I've eaten and exercised every day of the week. I hope it'll make me feel guilty if I haven't done anything.

Radders Yes the underactive thyroid could be the culprit, but it's been under control for years, and then there's the fact that I just love eating.Blush

I've read some of this and the previous thread and now feel like a stalker and I want to send happy thoughts to all of you.

Nimisha · 18/05/2016 19:20

Welcome Purpleowl

Very exciting Jem. Fingers crossed for you. And Radders and tee.

Footprints, I really hope AF shows up so at least you know where you are.

I'm CD 18, 3dpo do a couple of days behind you Jod. I do have sensitive nips but I had that around ov last time like you physics.

Great to hear from you Parney, I can believe you're 8 weeks already.

I'm loving this thread. I check it every day, only problem is I'm out of mobile data for a couple of days now so will have to only check at home.

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 18:29

Mine are quite sore to touch at all radders - but that's completely normal just before AF for me.

I've felt a bit teary too.

Really can't imagine I could get a bfp at all. I feel like I'm just waiting for bfn swiftly followed by AF.

There's a cruel voice in my head saying maybe just maybe - and I don't want to listen to it!

raddersmrs · 18/05/2016 18:21

If you have boob pain is it really severe or like a bit of an ache??
I keep prodding mine hoping they will hurt when I do it!
I felt like they were a bit achey when walking today but was probably imagining it

raddersmrs · 18/05/2016 18:20

Welcome owl!!
Under Active thyroid can cause weight gain can't it??

Jem I so want you to POAS!!! Please!

Well my tests didn't turn up ... Waaaaaah. OH offered to stop off and pick one up but I've said its ok and we will wait till tomorrow when hopefully they will be here.
I did an opk though and there was no line on it so don't think I'm pregnant

I've been so tired today and emotional. Cried yesterday and then today at work!
The thought of having to wait yet another month is horrible but know that it's probably on the cards. Just want AF to arrive now if it's going to.

SuchaJem · 18/05/2016 18:12

That's great you for all the kit purple. Good luck with your weight loss, are you trying any particular strategies or diets?

I've got ics and frers at home girls. Am going to a friends for dinner tonight though. Could really do without it! I'm knackered! Want to go home and POAS!

PurpleOwl86 · 18/05/2016 16:59

Hi!

We started trying for our first child in August last year, at first I wasn't tracking anything. In January I saw an ad for a study on conceiving/blood pressure and decided to participate. They gave me an Advanced Clearblue Fertility Monitor, and all the sticks, so I've been timing dtd with ovulation since then, but no luck yet.

I have an under active thyroid, but it's been under control with thyroxine for years, so it shouldn't be a bad thing.

I am 30 and overweight (BMI 28.3), the GP says I need to lose 18kg, so I'm guessing that's what's getting on my way. My cycles are very regular (25-26 days).

I'm on CD 18.

Tee4me · 18/05/2016 16:59

Haha, great feedback about the boobs! I always knew they couldn't be trusted Wink
Jem have you got a test 'in stock' at home?! Come on BFP!!
Welcome the the gang Owl, do you know where you are in your cycle?
Physics I have no idea about Maca, must look it up!

Don't trust the boobs!!!

I had like 7 days of sensitive nipples after ov - thought that was it, boom first cycle. But no. Now I'm CD 5...

Bought some brazil nuts and yogurt covered ones from H & B. Also expecting some more EPO and Maca in the post! I'm just doing 1500 mg of EPO a day, see how that goes. I swear I rattle when I walk!!! Any suggestions on Maca??
